He leans his head on his hand as hand, yawning with a little sigh.
"I am so tired these days...I've been overworking myself too much, haven't I? It seems it caught up to me."

He sits and inspects the sword in his hands, moving his fingers on the blade. It's not made of metal, but from the horn of a crystal dragon...the reason for its radiant properties..
It feels...right, to hold it.

He is training again, early in the morning. Sweat runs down his forehead as he swings his hammer in measured strikes. Despite having his light blade, the hammer is still better for stamina training.

"Ah, so that's what it was.", he mused as he sat back down and offered a wider smile.
"You got me worried for a moment there. Yea, I'm out for a little run, I need to build some more stamina. What about you? Did you come for a swim?" He sipped some more water.

He stopped by the lake and waited a moment.
Ah, wait, she is a water creature or some sort, isn't she? No need to worry then.
Still, he doubted she would stay down there for the rest of her days, so he decided to take his break here, just in case she resurfaced while he was at it.

The dragonborn had taken a sit on the shore, enjoying some snacks he has packed with him and having some water, enjoying the view.
When Eive resurfaced, after a while, she seemed paniced for a momenet, and he jumped on his feet to jump in...
But whataver it was, subsided quickly, both to Ferenir's confusion and relief.
Still, he smiled and raised a hand in greeting.
"Hey, Eive. Good morning~"

Even though it's still early, instead of the fires in the smith to be lit and the sounds of hammering to be heard, Ferenir is having a light jog around the forest.

He spent nearly the entire day practicing with his sword. It was so very different from his hammer, and although he was not bad with it, he wasn't anywhere near as comfortable enough with it as he would like to be.
So even as the night had claimed the sky and the moon was the only source of light, he sliced and thrust through the air, sweat running down his forehead, his breath heavy.
"Not yet..."

"Also never, ever go for this style if you're a two handed weapon user. They are not good for that at all." He demonstrated by bringing his hands together and trying to lift them straight above his head.
It was barely doable, and certainly not comfortable.
"It's no good for that. This shape is strictly for shield users only."

"I rarely recommend anyone to use pauldrons like mine. If you want maximized efficiency, get them fitted to the curve of your shoulders.
The reason I got mine as they are, is because they double function as an additional shield. I generally take the brunt of the attacks for others, or often find myself surrounded by enemies.
It protects well from attacks from the flank and projectiles.
But, again, you have to be a specialized dumbass like me to find yourself often in that position. If you want to just fight well, get them fitted to your shoulder shape."

Also imma share this very simple sketch I made of Fen for the campaign, after he got his new equipment. I'll also design his full sword later.

//One last cool thing. Last session Ferenir got a very powerful blade, the Sun's Glory. It is a scimitar style blade, that does radiant damage and burns people with its heat.
He got very cheap for some reason from the merchant who refused to reveal her reasons, and he could tell with his expertise that there were no flaws with the weapon.
Deciding to risk it, he bought it, and it was a very important moment for Ferenir. This wasn't just a good weapon, but a decision.
Fighting with a blade again, Ferenir is embracing his path as a warrior, and setting his blacksmithing life to the side for now.

//Okay, so, last thing i want to rant about! Powers!
Recently in the campaign, Ferenir awakened as a Champion! Using the one dnd updated form, and incorporating the abilities to his draconic theme.
-First and very important, he gained strong insticts in combat, the draconic blood in him making him quick to act and react, sensing bloodlust and danger. While Ferenir is naturally slow due to his weight and density, the insticts counterbalance that now, letting him match enemies much faster than him.
-Secondly, his physical power increased by a lot. The draconic energy fuels his body, his muscles able to support weight and produce energy much higher than his size should allow him to. Just last session, he lifted a huge stone pillar off a blocked doorway for everyone to pass through. Unlike before, he is no longer simply in the peak of human ability, but has stepped into the realm of clear superhuman.
-Third, less interesting but just as useful, his increased senses have given him a small edge in seeing the weak spots in his opponent's defenses, finding it a little easier to strike at the vulnerable spots by pure instinct.

//additionally, I want to incorporate more of the developments of the campaigns here as well.
One big thing that has been happening for a while now that I've been playing him, is that Ferenir has been shifting away from a smith and leaning more into being a warrior.
Not that he forgets his craft, or that he doesn't enjoy it, but he is spending less time working daily, and much more taking missions, dealing with monsters and figuring out mysteries.
The world has so many problems, and so many interesting things, that he simply does not have the chance to sit and craft at his leisure.
He will still spend time to craft something high quality, either for him or someone important, but that's exactly it. He will only do it if he needs to. He will not craft for the sake of it or as a business.
Now, he will pick his hammer and bring it to the anvil only to repair, improve, or craft a specific important item.

//Okay, so i said earlier that through campaign sessions, especially now that it's been some time, i'm rediscovering Ferenir, and getting more clear ideas about him.
After all, that's one of the reasons i like ttrpgs, spontaenous thinking and reacting in unexpected situations builds a character better than written roleplay, where you think of every action before you do it.
Of course, written roleplay has its own merits, you tackle more slice of life situations, spend more time extending scenes etc etc
But allow me to rant about a couple things.
First of all, i've mentioned before that Ferenir's open cheerfulness was a coping mechanism of the harships he went through, and battling depressive feelings. But real Ferenir is a lot more reserved, matter of fact and pragmatic person.
He is polite and kind to those he deems deserving, but will turn sour very quick and very easily if he is annoyed. He has a temper, and it ignites with a spark. He is fair, loyal and dependable, but he also likes to take risks, is deathly curious, and enjoys challenges and testing himself.
He is the person that will go touch that weird pedestal, go drop blood on the altar, or hold the rope for everyone to climb down before having to jump 60 feet down himself with no aid.
He does crazy shit, because he knows he can take it, and he likes pushing the limits of that.
Although he enjoys social interactions with the right people, he is also generally low on social energy, so he prefers to spend the time more quietly and productive.
When there is a job to do, he doesn't beat around the bush, gets straight to the point and tackles it in the most direct way possible.
He will pick a fight with anyone that pisses him off at the drop of a hat, and doesn't back down easily either. Most of the times his teamates have to calm him down and speak some sense to him to avoid conflict.
He can be cold as hell, crushing the bones of a person one by one in an interogation, without as much as batting an eye, but he is also fair and merciful, and will honor his deal and word. If he can, he will always prefer to spare a life.
Lastly, he is very, very competitive, and that translates to fights, where he LOATHS leaving one half finished, or having to run from it. He will do it if it's the right or smart thing to do, but he will not like it one bit, he will sulk all day.
