“…TK?”

Groggily, he tried to take in the room. It was too bright, everything was a little fuzzy around the edges, and he was struggling to focus on anything for longer than two seconds at a time, but he tried. Something was wrong. Something was really wrong, here. He wasn’t sure where he was, or what had happened, or what exactly was going on, but he knew that much.

Natasha. Coulson. Kate. Cap. Their faces floated sluggishly through his mind. He should be seeing one of them, shouldn’t he? TK wasn’t the one that was supposed to be here with him.

Not that he wasn’t happy to see TK, but shouldn’t someone else at least be here too?

“Where…wha’s…?” With a groan, his eyes squeezed shut. He lifted a hand to rub at them, only to feel something tug. Furrowing his brow, he looked down, stared at his hand—something was sticking out of the back of it. A long, skinny tube disappeared under some tape, the other end attached to…something. Clint frowned. What was that doing there? Things didn’t belong in his hands.

Wordlessly, he moved to pull it out.

And finally, to round out the main cast, we have Re-verse Sabrina and Zoe!

A lot of you have been asking about Sabrina and sharing your ideas. She's subject to change, but the current version of her that exists in my head is that this is a Sabrina that was never friends with Chloe and is more of like a Marinette equivalent of her world. Her dad recently lost his job as a police officer because he refused to cover up a crime related to the Supreme. Her family has been struggling financially ever since, and Sabrina has to work part-time jobs to sustain herself. I'm tossing around the idea of Sabrina working at Marinette's bakery, but I'm not super attached to it.

This version of Zoe was born in Paris and grew up along with her sister. Like I said in my Chloe post, the Bourgeois family is heavily involved with the Supreme and is basically trying to raise the next holder of the bee miraculous. Chloe and Zoe were constantly being pitted against each other by their parents, and their childhood was pretty much one big competition to see who gets to be the favorite daughter that'll be the Supreme's bee miraculous holder. Zoe was always the more rebellious daughter, and one day she had enough of her parents' control and ran away from home. Two years later, she returned to Paris with a completely new appearance, sporting tattoos, piercings and pink hair. Nobody is sure what exactly she did during the two years she was gone and her parents are still looking for her. She's currently living with Sabrina

And with that, we're done with the main characters! I might draw more characters like Felix and Nathalie, but they most likely wouldn't be involved with the "main plot", or they would just be the same as their canon counterparts. The next thing I'm planning is drawing kamikotized forms for the entire resistence, as well as transformed designs for everyone who has a miraculous. After that, I'll finally try drawing my interpretation of the Supreme.

what're, like, your sentai recs? i've mostly gotten recommended carranger, kiramager (or was it magiranger?), and eiher changeman or flashman, and the only series i've SEEN is Donbrothers. which. uh. help

I'm actually not as versed in sentai, which I am gradually changing but 50 ep series are very long. my absolutely top pick much watch shows are:

Ressha Sentai ToQger: REALLY LOVE THIS SERIES!!! SUPER FUN DYNAMIC OF CHILDHOOD FRIENDS!!!! THE 6TH RANGER IS MY FAVE OF ALL TIME!!!!!! GENUINELY COMPELLING OVERARCHING PLOT WITH VERY WELL-PACED DEVELOPMENTS!!!!! THE VILLAIN POLITICS ARE REALLY INTERESTING AND THERE ARE A LOT OF VIBES!!!!!!! THE AESTHETIC IS REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!! MADAME NOIR IS THERE!!!!!!!!! MISS KOBAYASHI WROTE IT!!!!!!!!!! genuinely while watching the show there's a lot of moments where I go. wow. I'm glad kids watched this, there's a very positive message that's delivered in a gentle, kind, and entertaining way.

Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger: super fun. SUPER fun. all of the characters are lovable dumbasses in varying and overlapping flavors. everyone has super strong Just Some Guy energy and it's really interesting to have the majority of the sentai team be suit actors. I think one of the staff said something to the effect of the zenkaiger team being basically a team of losers and they are and it's very endearing. I also really like the writing here, not only is it REALLY funny, there's a lot of good drama with family stuff and one of the antagonists accidentally adopting himself to the main character's grandma, and the space pirates are also there being a nuisance. in general there's a really good variety of dynamics. Miss Komura is the lead writer if I remember right.

I'm in the middle of watching kaizoku sentai gokaiger right now, which is really entertaining. miss komura described the pirates in zenkai as 'pirates playing at being heroes' and the gokais as 'heroes playing at being pirates' and she's so right. the gokais are all like heh!!! we're pirates!!! we don't care about anyone but ourselves!!! and then they go and do stuff like pawn their jewelry so they can pay for meals at a restaurant

001 This is an independent roleplay blog for the character of Jagi from the manga / anime / game, Fist of the North Star aka Hokuto No Ken. Obviously, this character doesn't belong to me. The character of Jagi is a mean, villainous character and his backstory has a good amount of triggering content. Please keep this in mind when interacting. This blog is 18+ (adults only) and low activity.

002 Triggering content that you can expect to see frequently on this blog will be violence, murder, aggression, blood and general fighting / battle themes. Sexual content will be present, as will consensual-rough sex. Explicitly dark themes such as rape / sexual violence / dubcon etc, will be alluded to in terms of backstory but not necessarily written. Everything will be tagged. Example is - 'tw.triggerhere'. I, myself, have no triggers.

003 Mun's name is Han, you may know me from such blogs as 'cwarscars' (a badly written attempt at a military general in a fantasy world) and 'mencnfire' (a multimuse attempt at some veteran type characters who all have issues). Are you noticing a theme? Lol. I'm 29, work full time and like to do all sorts of stuff so I wont be super active. I'm pretty friendly and very chilled out, discord is available on the carrd - just tell me who you are if you add me please.

004 This blog is low activity; primarily because I work full-time hours and have other stuff going on outside of the online world. Generally, I like to restrict myself from being online too much. It's never anything personal if I'm not online, don't reply to a message or favour one thread over another. I just have limited time to work with and am terrible at messages. I do like communication, but I also appreciate realism, understanding and patience. I give exactly what I expect of partners. Be laid-back and just have fun!

005 Generally, I prefer longer threads and planned threads. I will do the odd starter or random thread about random thing, but I love a good, juicy, well-thought-out thing. If we're going to plot, I love to have a beginning, middle and end. They are my favourite kinds of threads to write. I don't like too much exposition and prefer a slow burn when it comes to all manner of relationships etc. I can't be bothered to use icons and fancy formatting gives me migraines, so I'll just stick to standard small text.

006 In terms of character / shipping. I base my Jagi's backstory off of his story in Jagi Gaiden. If you're not a fan of HNK / barely know it, don't worry - Jagi has a tonne of verses I have thrown him into and I am more than open to writing a new verse to base around our muses! Regarding shipping - I am open to it! But keep in mind that Jagi is a sociopath and a dangerous murderer. As you can imagine, I'm willing to write most kinds of ships, be they romantic, dark, family, dark-romance etc. However, Jagi will not sexually assault or rape your muse. I've got ten years+ of writing villains under my belt and people trying to force that on you is never enjoyable.

007 Please don't block-evade, hound me for replies, do any creepy shit like stalk my blog / discord, talk shit etc. This is a weird, slightly vague rule but I'm just not down for the high-school side of the RPC nor am I down for the weird things such as block-evading and the like. Please don't pretend to be someone you're not to me (as in, literally pretend to be another person), it's very unsettling behaviour.

008 I have approximately minus interest in getting involved in any slapfights between pro-ship & anti-ship content. I believe in freedom of expression and am anti-censorship, but I also believe that people are allowed to be unsettled / turned-off by certain content. Generally, I'm open-minded but also do my best to be respectful. As said previously, stuff is tagged, dark content will be written, but I also have limits and I respect others' limits, too.

009 My main blog is CWARSCARS and generally, I'll be over there. I just needed to get the rascal that is Jagi off of my chest for a little while as I replenish my writing juices (gross lol).Have fun and I hope we have good rp times! :-)

I am basically rewriting all these series through this one. Because the original ones are...... meh.

Warnings: This series is going to get Riverdale and The Amazing World of Gumball levels of crazy. There will be many hijinks, wacky adventures, chaos, (hopefully a lot of laughs) and dimensional travel. So if crazy, off the rails (and sometimes emotional) adventures with bleeding heart (I mean this in a positive way), super-powered teenagers are your thing, you've come to the right place. There will also more than likely be crackfics. Lots of them. Memes too. Whole stories dedicated to them.

Notes:

The Timeline is also more than likely fucked. I make references to media that shouldn't even exist yet by the MCU's timeline and some characters are younger than they should be (Like Jason) while still having their backstories (Like Jason). All in all, the timeline is fucked, nothing matters, characters (like Carol and The Guardians) show up way before they're supposed to but we're gonna ignore it all in the spirit of fun.

P.S. when I say nothing matters, I mean canon. Canon doesn't exist in this series, we're all just along for the ride. Welcome to fanfiction, baby! Hope you all enjoy this goofy, sometimes serious, sometimes emotional, sometimes utterly ridiculous series!

Why It Worked: The Princess and The Frog

Introduction: The Princess and The Frog is an animated musical fantasy romantic comedy film. Directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, the film stars Anika Noni Rose, Bruno Campos, Keith David, Michael-Leon Wooley, Jim Cummings, Jennifer Lewis, Jennifer Cody, John Goodman, Oprah Winfrey and Terrence Howard. The film was released on December 11, 2009 and recieved very positive reviews from critics and audiences (85% of 200 reviews agregated by Rotten Tomatoes gave an average rating of 7.4/10). The film grossed $269 million on a budget of $105 million. For the past decade, I've grown to love this movie more and more with each passing year. Having rewatched it recently, I now firmly believe this is one of Disney's best films. In this post, I'd like to go into detail as to why.

The Plot: Based on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, The Frog Prince, mixed with the material in The Frog Princess by E.D. Maker, this film tells the story of Tiana, a waitress trying to earn enough money to start her own restaurtant. She encounters a talking frog, who's actually Prince Naveen turned into a frog by Dr. Facilier. He agrees to help Tiana get her her restaurant if she helps him turn back into a prince by recreating the classic tale of The Frog Prince. This backfires and now they're both frogs hopping around the buyou with their gator friend, Louis and a cajun firefly named Ray, to find a way to reverse the spell they were put under. The film is really a subversion of classic fairy tale tropes that makes the film feel fresh and new. The goal for our leading lady is not to fall in love with a prince but to make her childhood dream come true. What also makes this film standout is how magical they make New Orleans, paying tributes to jazz music and cajun cuisine. I also found the humor to be very funny, with many of the jokes getting a great laugh out of me. One of the funniest scenes in the film is when Tiana and Naveen outwit a trio of frog hunters. The slapstick and perfect timing had me in stitches. What really makes the story so engaging is the animation. It's too bad Disney hasn't used 2D animation in their recent films (not to say they don't look amazing in 3D) because the animation in the Princess and The Frog is amazing. The character movements feel so smooth and fluid and they're designs are unique and well defined. It should also be noted that some 3D was used for background elements yet are coated with a 2D paint so well you never would've noticed.

Cast and Characters: The cast of this movie did outstanding jobs voicing these characters, who are all well developed and very likable. Starting with our leading lady, Tiana is a smart hardworking woman that's determined to start up her restaurant. She's also sassy, funny and a great cook. Anika Noni Rose was perfect as Tiana as gives the character a very determined and no-nonsense tone in her voice. Prince Naveen starts off as an arrogant playboy that only wants to live a carefree life. However, the more time he spends with Tiana, the more he realizes that not everything is just going to be handed to him. This is especially true during the scene when he and Tiana are making gumbo and he comes to realize he's so used to having everything be done for him that he doesn't even know how to take care of himself. Bruno Campos gave a very stellar performance as Naveen, giving him such charm and funny lines while also selling the more personal aspects of his character. Louis the gator is such a fun comic relief that plays a mean trumpet. He easily brings out some of the best laughs and Michael-Leon Wooley gave a very memorable performance as the character. Ray the cajun firefly just might be one of Jim Cummings' best vocal performances, up there with Darkwing Duck, Pete, and (of course) Winnie The Pooh and Tigger. Ray might appear to have a screw or too loose, but he's actually a really smart, brave and reliable ally who's more than willing to help his friends. His love for Evangeline (which is actually the North Star) feels very genuine even if it might come across as odd at first. Then there's the film's made baddie, Dr. Facilier (often referred to as The Shadow Man). Dr. Facilier is every bit as charming as he is sinister. He's manipulative, he's smart, he's charsmatic and he loves what he does. Keith David was excellent in the role, giving him a deep yet unsettling tone in his voice.

Super Supporting Players: This film has one of the strongest supporting cast I have ever seen. Each of the supporting and even minor characters leave a lasting impression and make the film feel lived in. Lawrence, Naveen's butler, acts as the secondary antagonist of the film, being the catalyst of Naveen's desire for a carefree lifestyle. He sides with the Shadow Man and poses as Naveen while the prince is a frog in order to marry Charlotte La Bouff. Speaking of Charlotte, is very much nothing like the standard spoiled brat. Rather than be snobbish, selfish and rude, Lottie is a true friend to Tiana and is willing to help her get her restaurant. Believe me folks, after having to deal with the likes of Gem Stone, Princess Morbucks, Sincerity (What About Mimi), and Tricia Holmes (6teen), Charlotte is a breath of fresh air. Her father, Eli (aka Big Daddy) is also a very kind and caring figure who, despite spoiling his daughter, clearly raised her well as she gets her generosity from him. Mama Odie is a wise 197 year old blind lady that not only helps our heroes on their journey, but helps them understand the difference between what they want vs what they need. This is echoed by Eudora (Tiana's Mom) earlier in the film, who even in the limited amount of screen time she had exerts such a motherly personality and has authentic chemistry with her daughter. Then there's James (Tiana's Dad), the main driving force behind Tiana's desire to open her restaurant. Despite succumbing to the frequently used "dead parent" trope, every second he's on screen is imperative to the story. He's a kind hard working man who dreamed of opening his own restaurtant with his daughter Tiana. When she tells her Dad about the wishing star, he gives her great advice: "that little star can only take you part of the way. You got to help it along with some hard work of your own and then you can do anything you set your mind to." What truly makes this supporting cast come alive are the stupendous voice work from the actors who portrayed them. Jennifer Cody was fantastic as Lottie, making her sound so energetic and lively. John Goodman is always a treat to hear and he brings such a humble fatherly presence to Eli. Jennifer Lewis perfectly captures the sass and erratic nature of Mama Odie and is an amazing singer. Peter Bartlett right captured the bumbling mannerisms of Lawrence and when he's disguised as Naveen he exerts more confidence in his voice. Oprah Winfrey, who was also a consultant for the film, played Eudora beautifully as a kind and caring mother and they couldn't have picked a better actor than Terence Howard for the role of James.

Songs and Music: Randy Newman is a musical genius! Every single song in this film is written wonderfully with an awesome beat, wonderful lyrics and the amazing vocal talents of the stars. Starting with the opening track after the lovely melody prologue, Down in New Orleans perfectly introduces the audience to this city and what it's like to live here. The late Dr. John brought such authenticity to the song being a New Orleans native and he had great singing chops. Almost There, Tiana's number, is not so much an I want song, but more like "I'm so close I can almost taste it." Anika Noni Rose has great singing talents and carried that long final note like a champ. The villain song, Friends From The Other Side is (in my opinion) one of the best Disney villain songs. It perfectly captures the charismatic and manipulative nature if Dr. Facilier and Keith David's baritone singing makes this all the more memorable. When We're Human is an upbeat song that showcases the excellent singing talents of Anika Noni Rose, Bruno Campos and Michael-Leon Wooley as they sing about what they'll do when they're human. It also makes great use of the trumpet, the go-to instrument for jazz. Ray is given the distinct honor of singing 2 songs, which are polar opposites yet are both wonderfully well crafted musical numbers. The first is Gonna Take You There, which is a classic cajun song in with Ray sings while he and his firefly family take our heroes to Mama Odie's. It's bounce, it's fun, it's makes great use of the accordion, it's just a great song to listen to. The second is Ma Belle Evangeline, a slow yet beautiful love ballad Ray sings for Evangeline. Even though Ray is singing to a star, it feels very genuine with his mix of French compliments and Louis' slow trumpet playing. Than there's the last musical number before the reprise of the opening track, Dig A Little Deeper. This is my personal favorite song in the film, and that's saying something because they're all great. Dig A Little Deeper incorporates a choir of roseate spoonbills to make it look like a church service on Sunday. It also has a great message behind it about finding what you need versus trying to get what you want. Also, Anika Noni Rose coming in with that extra verse was the perfect cherry on top. In addition to these spectacular musical numbers, Randy Newman also made a very memorable score incorporating strings and strong brass for intense scenes and some soft, subtle tunes for the quiet moments. Where the score truly shines is during Ray's death and funeral. From the sad reprise of Ma Belle Evangeline all the way up to the music slowy but surely picking up as Ray essentially becomes the brightness star in the sky next to Evangeline, this scene best showcases what a great score this film has. The song that plays during the credits, Never Knew I Needed by Ne-Yo, was also the picture bookend to the film, capturing the film's central message in a wonderfully crafted pop ballad with a beautiful piano tune.

Where It Falters: 👆. No, seriously this film is still a 10/10 in my book, but I personally would've amended this response from Lottie to "Travis, when I said later, I really meant not ever." Still shoots the guy down but without making her speak for all women. This concludes my meaningless nitpick.

Conclusion: The Princess and The Frog is without a doubt one of Disney's best films and Tiana is my personal favorite Disney Princess. The animation is spectacular, the characters are great, the songs are all wonderful, the voice acting is superb and it delivers a great message of finding what you need versus trying to get what you want. If you haven't seen this film, I highly recommend giving this film a watch on Disney+ if you have it. Thank you so much for reading and I'll see you soon ;)

her mother was still very much suffocating her always wanting her to be the perfect golden girl

Introducing Juste Belmont into Netflixvania

With the recent announcement of a Castlevania spinoff featuring Richter Belmont and Rondo of Blood, it got me a little sad that they were skipping a few Belmonts such as Christopher, Soleil, Simon, and Juste.

Until it came to me that they didn't have to skip Juste Belmont and that they could easily incorporate him into the show. I'll be talking about why and how Netflix can actually include this super underrated (plus my favourite) Belmont.

Firstly, let's have a little get-to-know section for everyone whose knowledge of Castlevania is limited to the animated series.

This is Juste Belmont:

He's the protagonist of the game, Harmony of Dissonance. He is Simon Belmont's grandson and there is debate on whether or not he is Richter's father or grandfather. His main hobbies include studying magic and interior design (very important).

Why should we include Juste?

First, we're already missing a huge portion of the Greatest 5. Leon was only mentioned once, and Netflix is presumably skipping Simon and Juste, which leaves Richter and Trevor. That's just two of the Greatest 5 and two of eight possible Belmonts, why not add another one?

Secondly, Harmony of Dissonance (1748) and Rondo of Blood (1792) happen so chronologically close to each other that it is possible for Juste and Richter to interact with each other

It's really easy to introduce Juste too, and here's why:

Like mentioned before, time. Juste is 18 in the events of Harmony of Dissonance, which puts him at 62 years old in Rondo of Blood. He could be Richter's mentor that teaches him the history and magic of the Speakers, since he is known to be well-versed in it. In fact, Richter's Item Crash Ability and Hydrostorm spell can be attributed to Juste Belmont's knowledge of the arcane.

Also, the name Juste is French. He could very well be the reason why Richter is in France. Fun Fact: Juste means "just" and Richter means judge, I think that's pretty cool

Netflix confirmed that the new series is taking place during the French Revolution, and one of the biggest aspects of the Belmont clan is that they all have bank. The entire family was born into money, and it is confirmed that Juste (and consequently, Richter) lived a privileged life. Imagine what Netflix can do with that kind of information.

Remember when I said that Juste liked interior design? He has an eye for aesthetics, especially in furniture and clothes. I know for sure that Richter Belmont did not choose to go outside cosplaying as medieval Troy Bolton.

Juste would have designed that outfit himself. (This point is just for fun)

If it were up to me, this is how I would introduce Juste into the show. I am going to take a few creative liberties just because and none of you will stop me.

Juste Belmont, Richter's father (he'll also be younger here too) has had many visions of bad things happening to his son ever since the child was born. Knowing what happened to him when he was 18 not only motivates Juste to train Richter rigorously in mind, body, and spirit, but to also become a bit of an overbearing parent. As a result, Richter is raised sheltered.

When the uprisings start, Juste's visions become more frequent, causing him to act even more paranoid. He forbids Richter from leaving the property altogether, not even for errands or to see Annette, his childhood best friend. On top of that, Richter's training increases in intensity and and frequency, making it even more difficult to communicate to Annette through letters.

All of a sudden, the Big Bad Evil Guy (TM) appears. His name is Shaft, and upon learning about Dracula, wishes to merge Earth and Hell together to create a world full of death and chaos. He gathers many vampires, and together, they ransack several cities for blood and negative energy that will fuel the Hell-merger spell.

Richter wants to go out and save people/make sure Annette is okay, and while his father heavily opposes the idea at first, he has no choice but to let his son go because Richter is more capable than Juste, who is growing frail due to sickness. Richter is so happy that he finally gets to leave his suffocating, crazy father for once. Cue Rondo of Blood.

Rondo of Blood bit: At first, Richter is a little cocky because he believes defeating Shaft is nothing compared to the training he suffered through. At first he is right, as he manages to rescue Annette from a den of vampires, a young mage named Maria Renard, and other girls with ease. At the same time, though, Richter witnesses the suffering of the French peasants and how bloody this whole mess is.

Shaft, upon finding out that Richter is advancing a little too fast for his liking, devises a plot to stop the vampire hunter, or at the very least, stall him. Knowing humans and their tendency to turn on each other, spreads a little rumour about the Belmont clan. Because they were so afraid of losing their wealth and power during the war, the Belmont witch, Juste summoned the very demons and vampires that were killing everyone.

When Richter arrives, Shaft greets him with a giant mirror that would livestream his father's public execution. Richter screams at Shaft to stop, but to no avail. When the peasants demand the truth, Juste admits that he is a witch*, knowing that he won't be able to escape due to his declining health. In his last vision before death, Juste sees his son sitting on a dark throne, in castle, smiling wickedly. He cries out to Richter, apologizing for everything, and telling him he was so afraid of losing his only child. The people cheer at his tears, and when his head finally comes off, they mount it on a stick, Miki Makimura style. This causes Richter to finally start taking everything seriously, and he beats the shit out of Shaft.

After Rondo of Blood, Richter develops depression, and goes to fighting to cope. Cue Symphony of the Night

Futher Notes:

*Witchcraft accusations and burning stopped in the early 1700s. The peasants aren't mad at the usage of magic, but more the reason it's being used.

I wanted to foreshadow the events of Symphony of the Night through Juste. It would be pretty cool to do, because animated series only people would believe Juste is crazy while game fans would be even more hyped at the idea of SotN Richter.

A really cool plot point that can be explored is Juste's inner conflict on the French Revolution. While he managed to save humanity from Dracula's evil influence (or something similar), he was ultimately blind to the suffering of the people at the hands of the rich.

I'm a worried, anxious bitch, so here are my fears!!:

Netflix Castlevania is notorious for having poorly written dialogue full of swears, so I am pretty scared if they decide to tackle Juste Belmont. You see, Juste is known to speak/act classy, and he's also an educated nobleman. I don't want to see him or Richter be reduced to Trevor 2 and 3 because the both of them (Juste especially) are put-together people. I pray the new writer won't riddle the script with curses.
