▪︎ REDESIGNING UBERCORN ☆

What if I made an Ubercorn design?? Well, imagine no more, because I just did!! When I redesign the characters, it's always to add more detail and flair, NEVER because I hate a design. Plus, the canon outfits are a little too plain for my art style. So here's what's hopefully the first post in my new redesign series, of Ubercorn!!

I stuck mostly to Ubercorn's 70s and 80s inspired disco look, giving his jumpsuit a bit of an upgrade, making it look a little bit less like a baby's onesie. The top half resembles the canon one a little, still being white with a star pattern, but I deviated from there with a purple star button, a deep neck with a popped collar, blue diamond patches on the arms, and Rainbow sleeve cuffs. The bottom half of the suit deviates a little more from the canon suit, but I encorporated the canon suit's blue into this part, creating a blue-to-teal glittery gradient that stands out amongst the Go Jetters' solid-colour suits. His pants also have the same Rainbow cuffs, creating a bit of unity in the look.

I also tried to encorperate some more modern aesthetics into the look, to account for Ubercorn's love of high technology. I replaced his goggles with a star-shaped visor, with a purple and red gradient which pays homage to his old goggles. Additionally, I decided to give him a protective hairstyle, as in flashbacks or photographs in the episodes, we see that Ubercorn has 4C hair !! I wanted to bring that into his modern look, while still keeping a similar energy to his original hairstyle, so I chose to give him braids, which he wears half put-up, and half down! His tail is also braided, to match ! He also has a little bit of a beard because I just think it looks nice. Don't question how it works if he's covered in fur. Shh. The rest of the design is pretty much the same, with his horn receiving a slight curve, his hooves staying shiny, and giving him some cheek fluff, and earrings. His eyes are a cyan-blue, as I headcanon that Unicorns and other antro horse species to have thevprinter-ink colours as their natural eye colour options. And that's the deep dive into my design !!! ♡♡♡

I really hope that you like my redesign, I'm very proud of it!! I love to create these redesigns, and would eventually like to do the whole cast in this style. This would mean also drawing the Funky Four; Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz, then Grandmaster Glitch (& the Grimbots!!) and Tala. I would also love to include my design for JetPad's holographic human form, as to include her in the main group too. If I wanted to further extend it, I could also do Professor Wave, Professor Nouveau, or Finn! I will have to see how I go for time, could take a couple months until I am actually free enough to do all of this, if any. If there's enough positive reception on this, I'll have to get to work sooner !!

As a bonus, I have also made a "Funky Fact File" version, which includes some of my headcanons for Ubercorn (plus some canon stuff!!), and a fun alternate layout. Thank you for reading through this whole post!! ♡♡

The two met when all of the next gen defenders were gathered at the Wu Shi Academy; Satoshi was there as it's mandatory for future Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu grandmasters to participate while Yoomi was there because her coven thought it would be beneficial for letting someone familiar with threats beyond what Earthrealm's defenders know to be trained under them as well as intel of other realms with their universe such as Edenia, Chaosrealm and Outworld.

The pair met when everyone was asked to partner up during a team exercise, they were the only ones left. Satoshi was supposed to be with Takeda but he went with Frost instead while Yoomi doesn't know anyone here just yet, standing there dumbfounded. So, out of reluctance they pair up cause Satoshi thought she was being left out while Yoomi was happy that there's finally someone to willingly pair up with her.

They had a civilized relationship as acquaintances in the beginning, and had shown a lot of respect for each other as future grandmaster and diplomat in training respectively.

Then they began talking about their interests in between the breaks in training, how their respective pasts were like. The more they learned the other had opposite personalities, the more they clashed, thus began a friendly rivalry.

They compete for the most dumbest ridiculous shit known to man, though it had to be held back since Yoomi was getting a bit too far with the bets. Despite being similar to Satoshi, he didn't grow up the same way she does.

When he has the chance, Satoshi sometimes brings Yoomi along to visit his home island. Spending time hunting and gathering in its lush forests, sometimes his father comes along and when nightfall arrives, they both tell Yoomi tales from their home country, ainu and their clan alike while eating the s'mores she packed to be toasted along with the edible plants in the campfire.

They also draw stuff together in their free time, often leading to collaborative pieces that had the charming beauty of having clashing and entirely different artstyles; Satoshi had a more semi realistic expressionist look while Yoomi has a more colorful and cartoony look. Satoshi kept one and hung it framed in his room back home.

Satoshi has dimples that he's very insecure about. He always covers them when he laughs and does a small smile for a genuine smile. Yoomi was sad that he felt that way and told him that his showing dimples would make him a more handsome man anyways. Which made him a bit more confident.

This led to him laughing without covering his face for the first time, Yoomi was right and she started to fall in love. She'd always make sure he laughs, even if it meant at least a day.

Satoshi came second to fall in love with her when he came to watch her practice her magic with her elders and he's beginning to be fascinated by the user rather than the magic they use.

Yoomi and Satoshi are both unaware that it's actually mutual but to everyone else it's really painfully obvious. Yoomi sometimes gives him a nice small bouquet that says 'I love you' in flower language that he always keeps in his room back home, taken care by his parents and in return gives her random doodles to express his love.

Speaking of parents, Satoshi even began to approach them for relationship advice but hides the actual reason why, always using 'just in case it happens one day.' and many of its variations as an excuse. Little did he know that they playfully teased him behind his back about how it reminds of them when they were his age, and was really rooting for him.

Odette, Yoomi's legal guardian and mother figure knew of this from them during a parent-teacher conference. So she began doing mock training tests on Yoomi's ideology towards romantic relationships to teach and train her about its ups and downs whenever she can, so Yoomi would have experience on what to do when the time comes. Yoomi on the other hand genuinely thought these were actual tests and took it seriously to which Odette doesn't mind.

When they visited the Fire Gardens during a field trip for their class. They were together, all alone. Yoomi was the first to initiate the confession by nervously rambling about how much she loves him more than a friend to which Satoshi hugs her making her speechless, telling that it's mutual.

Their first date was visiting an art museum in Earth-222 (the world designation number of her legal guardian's home dimension) with all of the old paintings in it, from across various cultures. Along with modern works that used those art styles as a way to preserve the culture, they even saw an old ainu painting featuring a samurai and a babaylan portrayed as a romantic couple to which Satoshi points out that it reminds of them.

Their overall dynamic is 'cute artistic couple that's mistaken as besties' which confused some of their peers and thought the whole crush thing was a dare until one day Yoomi gave flowers and referred to him as 'jonquille' (daffodil in french) while Satoshi in return referring her as 'amai haru' (sweet spring in japanese)

Satoshi isn't a big fan of pda but when he does, he often kisses all over Yoomi's scars as a form of affection and knowing that he found the person he was destined with. Meanwhile Yoomi just randomly sneaks in some small pda whenever she can

death note microsoft solitaire ( collection ) headcanons bcuz i have a problem

starting w ryuk first ♡ plays on random mode exclusively, likely 2 lose interest half-way through and leave the game unfinished - if he wasn't constantly using light's account his level would likely still be in 1 or 2; his cards backing is set to a custom realistic apple theme and yes he has been so apple deprived that he tried to eat the computer— isn't aware you can change the card draw

SPEAKING OF LIGHT THOUGH... during surveillance or when he's playing infront of someone he only picks grandmaster ( and may or may not pretend to run out of time / get distracted so no one knows he can't beat the level ) - when alone though, he either leaves it on random due 2 ryuk, or switches between hard & expert mode — he uses standard draw3,+ the lvl 100 freecell card backing ( he only played freecell for the crown / king theme . ) around level 100+ on solitaire as well, he has 2 much free time.

L plays grandmaster, next question. no but – he's aware that Light is unable 2 beat it, so when around him ( esp in yotsuba arc ) every chance he gets he plays grandmaster, and wins. when on his own though, he tends 2 mainly play random as they have a higher chance of being unbeatable ( which in a way, is much more fun 4 him . ) never bothered changing the backing so it's stuck on classic - has far more free time then light and is often multitasking, lvl500+ in solitaire with 300misc lvls in the other collection card games; switches card draw when bored ( usually sticks with misc-draw3 though )

Mello only ever bothers playing with Matt, often trading places when the other gets bored just to make it through one match. Matt prefers easy / normal mode as he doesn't take it that seriously nor does he care much for leveling up, while Mello sets it to grandmaster every time ( only to then rage quit 5 seconds in because he keeps refreshing the match and losing each time . ) Mello insists on using standard draw3 but Matt changes it back to draw1 every time... low level due to rage quitting & apathy towards the game – retro card backing.

Near thinks its a bit pointless, but has moments of boredom where he gives in nonetheless, the most basic of settings ( doesn't change anything literally set on the classic / default options ), interchanges between collection games and plays on random always— prefers spider over solitaire, low level but could be higher if the effort was put in.

Misa is another one who prefers something other then solitaire, mainly choosing to play spider or freecell, doesn't have much time to play due to modeling and surveillance but post-timeskip when she's left alone for most if not the entire day, she doesn't really have much of a choice. mostly plays normal mode, level is in the low 30s as she is another one who doesn't care much for leveling up and is just looking for a quick game, around lvl9 on solitaire due 2 lack of playing — uses the kitten themed card backings:)

MATSUDA!!!! he's almost always pushed around n treated as the intern so oftentimes when they're not making him do coffee runs he's playing solitaire on his 'puter!! mainly plays normal / hard, but every now n then plays a few games up in expert <3 completes almost all of his daily / weekly challenges and due 2 the exp boosts they give he's reached a higher level then light ( being up in the lvl200s via sheer will & boredom alone lmfao ). doesn't really understand most of the other games 'how 2 play' rules so exclusively plays solitaire, literally the only one out of all of them that has a fully customized layout. i'm talking western background, puppy card backings with the autumn deck, and ofc he has the leaves effect ( although sometimes he changes it 2 the fireworks when he's feeling down... )

He could be severely damaged, distorted, and deranged in all forms and still force himself to move onward and forward, as if he was on the path to conquer the eternal war to make the Shirai Ryu the greatest and most respected clan of Earthrealm.

Perhaps Grandmaster Hasashi has succeeded in making himself formidable and valuable, amidst the plethora of flaws and imperfections which make him painfully human. For there is something big living in his chest; as it aches with hunger, longing, inspiration, as he continues to feed them with defiant and resilient strength and intensity of his everburning fire. So long as he is trying, and completely aware that his destiny and success are the things only he can declare.

Hanzo Hasashi has lived with the well-known implication of the ‘way’ of the sword, which is a complete philosophy as well as a military technique which centers on the sword. In its simplest, the Way of the Sword is an intense focus on learning how to use the samurai sword in the most effective way. In a more complex meaning, this Way is a complete devotion to a view of life based on the sword, its mystical qualities, and techniques of its use. To the Shirai Ryu Grandmaster, swordsmanship, combined with his essentric and unique use of the chained kunai became an art, with grace and discipline adding a focus on practice and perfecting movement. It is the unknown predictability which distinguishes the other warriors and instills unadulterated fear for those unprepared for his arsenal of skillsets.

“I am whatever Earthrealm requires me to be,” for Hanzo Hasashi is stronger because he had to be, he is smarter because of his mistakes, he is content because he has overcome the sadness he has forever known and he is wiser because he has learned from his life, filled with strife and tribulations. Hanzo may ponder in thought, diving into the fathomless sea of emotions. Everlasting, neverending, much like the questions left unanswered by his old immature past life without somber quietness yet beautiful imperfections, as Hanzo poured his heart into the intricacy of kombat involved more than simply drawing the first blood and emerging victorious.

Kuai Liang should know this, for engrossing in vicious kombat entitles more than one-dimensional destruction and rebirth, but of pleasure and desire, which remain plentiful in his life. Almost simplistic are the demands of the life as the Shirai Ryu Grandmaster; grow, achieve, desire, learn, adapt. 6. Hana No Mizo Shiru

I read this a long time ago but I remember really enjoying it. It has beautiful art including character design and background design. I like how the characters are doing research in a lab, since I'm a science major myself it makes me happy to see it 😂 The romance is really cute not too rushed or graph🥰 But like everything else I read it's also sad due to past relationships 😭 but not as sad as some others I have read so it is balanced.

5. Acid Town

I love this story so much! Though it isn't for everyone. It is a yakuza gang type story with lots of violence including both male and female "rape scenes". Quotations because you don't see the rape scenes full on, more like a memory but they're still heart breaking to see. It's sad but the plot is really good, in my opinion haha. The art is also really good which just adds on another reason why I love it so much. 😭💙

Wow what a surprise another sad one! I somehow always end up loving the stories of characters with tragic pasts, I think it adds something special. I don't think I need to rant and rave about it too much because I think most people have seen this anime and or read the manga and know why it is so amazing! I wont spoil anything but it's really sad and cute? At the same time. I also like this one because it deals with mental health which I think is really important 💙🥰 and the soundtrack is amazing of course 😭👍🏻

3. Ten Count

There is a pattern here haha. Another sad one turned romantic turned sort of kinky? 😂 I also don't need to say much about this one since it is so popular! Can't wait for the anime 😭 I like this one especially because of the psychology involved.

2. Sekaiichi Hatsukoi

Aah, memories. I have been following this manga/anime almost since it came out. It's one of my old time favorites and I don't think anything can completely replace it. 🥰 I love that it has multiple stories that all interconnect and it shows different sides to the relationships. This one is more frustrating than sad because you just want the two characters to be together 😭 Although it is still cute and very romantic (and steamy 🙃). Also the soundtrack is bomb, I am constantly listening to it while I write, draw, or do homework!

1. The Untamed/Mo Dao Zu Shi/Grandmaster of Demon Cultivation

Oh god don't even me get me started on how much I love this anime, graphic novel, novel, and drama! 😢 All of it is perfect! I can't believe I waited so long to get into this! Now it is probably my favorite yaoi/BL series ever 🥰 Even though the drama, anime, and graphic novel are more censored than the original novel, they are all still so good! I haven't finished the novel or graphic novel but I'm greatly enjoying them so far and don't want them to end. It has a tragic back story beautiful characters, developed likable characters, romance, kinky stuff (not my favorite aspect but hey its there), and an interesting plot / universe. I am going to be so depressed once I finish everything! 😭💙
