@fairytalearista here's the second half of your ask response. I answered Reuben already. As for Mr. Bastian Dennel, well . . .
looks: somewhat attractive | eh | not really my type | pretty | handsome | beautiful | stud | gorgeous | SWEET LORD MERCY
can you relate to this character on a personal level?: no | not really | somewhat | yes | they are me
would you date/be friends with this character in real life if they were real?: total bros | friends | best friends | date | become their steady boyfriend/ girlfriend | neither | i don’t kno
Look. Look. This man walked into a literal nightmare for a gal to whom he owed nothing but professional courtesy. In fact, he did it twice. He faced down an angry fae powerful enough to create a city-wide blizzard for his sister, and he acted on the truth when he knew it would put him on the bad side of multiple mafias. And you think there's half a chance I wouldn't be interested in him as a friend or more?
And, to be clear — if Dayo's in the picture, it probably is only friendship, probably something that comes out of a certain writer-of-mystery-novels (me) repeatedly consulting him during the process of writing said books. Eventually, we start chatting about more than our respective professions and it becomes a genuine friendship. And in the AU where Dayo isn't around, or if this took place long before TMS, well . . . it would be the longest and slowest of all crock-pot romances (given that I'm oblivious and he's a gentleman who wouldn't want to push past what I'm comfortable with), but I could see something happening . . . at least until AU-me writes something that makes the Fair Family mad and I have to flee the city, leaving Mr. Dennel free for the events of TMS.
(Years later, Bastian gets a book in the mail. There's no return address, but he recognizes the name on the cover and the signature on the first page, and he knows that, wherever I am, I'm doing all right.)

I won't lie, the fact that enduring the stalactite falling through the roof of the Horticultural Society's greenhouse has a Dangerous requirement of "No" and a Wounds requirement of "Not even you" is very good. You may be a god among men but that is in fact not a man. It is, in fact, a big-ass rock. You cannot take a giant rock to the face and not be quite badly hurt by it, even by Fallen London's illustrious standards that simply does not physics.

Werewolf "I'm gonna rip out your throat" Dabi, and Werewolf "I'd like to see you try" Touya, and Beauty "oh my god the brothers are fighting and I don't know if I can stop them" Abiteth.

definitely the guys from the elijah wood and samuel barnett show
It's funny, sometimes I think aaaah I'm out of my fixation phase with Dirk Gently I guess I don't really care anymore; and then I read a fic/post where the author implies Dirk likes coffee and I have to hastily click out of the fic lest I go on some unhinged rant about how No He Fucking Doesn't
(This is in response to an ask game about which characters yall think I'm the authority on btw, if anyone has any others send em my way this is fun lmao)

Listen, if I had a nickel for every time I got insanely attached to a character who suffered most his life and then did something bad because he snapped, only to be later on taken control by an evil entity whose plans he tried (and succeded) to foil (all while blamed of being the mind behind it all although he wasn’t), and he died after performing redemption after redemption and ultimately sacrificing to save the person he loved the most and have the most unsatisfying endings in the history of storytelling... I’d have two nickels, which aren’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
