Sure :] Cameron (right) is a barista living in her hometown with her younger sister she and is not thrilled about any of these things. Ari (left) writes articles about paranormal/hokey true crime stuff for a buzzfeed-knockoff type of website after quitting her phd. Theyre both mid-20s and also both gay but Cameron is very closeted

Ari's phd program was in vertebrate evolution, specifically feline phylogenetics, which segues into my worldbuilding that I've also wanted to talk about lol. All the characters in this world are based on cats from subfamily Felinae – basically all small wildcats combined into one sapient species instead of humans. The characters I've designed so far are inspired by specific cats (Cameron is based on a serval and Ari on a pampas cat) but I'm not trying to stick too closely to that since they're all meant to be the same species from a worldbuilding perspective. No domestic cats (furry or animal) but regular big cats are still a thing, basically akin to great apes vs humans. Anthropomorphic cougars and cheetahs are a thing but are extinct, like extinct hominids. Basically my effort to shove cats into a human evolution parallel lol

#this sounds boring but just know that I am withholding kind of the most important part and premise of the story LOL #the worldbuilding aspect is plot relevant also at least from a conceptual perspective #ask #aerielart #oc: ari #oc: cameron #from a technical perspective pulling designs from multiple cat species helps with more design variation #which I liken to how humans are extremely phenotypically diverse esp with a relative lack of genetic diversity compared to other species

When watching The amazing Digital Circus and seeing Jax the asshole of rabbits mannerisms and I thought to myself “He somewhat reminds me of the old Tom & Jerry cartoons based on his actions, why not create a cat Oc that has the dynamic of Tom and Jerry, who actually gets back at him the same way he treats everyone else at the circus….By being an asshole to him back.”

Anyways her name is Felina who is a humanoid black cat that normally does not have a mouth or nose on her face unless circumstances let her have it only for a few seconds before disappearing.

Applying my luck cats for the entry!

Ella is an afro-brazillian punk cat with extreme bad luck that works part-time on her hyperfixation as a barber and full-time as a folkloric dancer and singer in a circus she organized with her friends, she's the dance and singing partner to her soulmate, Jayden the calico. Ella is very passionate bold person who is allergic to rules, but is extremally kind and easily embarassed and socially awkward and very very loyal to her family. Jayden, an indigenous-brazillian cat, with extreme good luck, is very kind, gentle and calm, loves to take care of others and make sure they know they are loved, but due to that nature it's easy to overlook how he's equally as punk and a chaos lover as her(despite his chronic anxiety)

Honestly, they love being anarchists so must that they can't keep a job, because on every job of theirs on their first day they start a union and get kicked out. They're also t4t relationship anarquists, not even their relationship is safe from their love of anarchy. They used to be toons in 1920 with their own cartoon, with Jayden being the hero and Ella being the villain, they hated each other and were enemies, but bonded at their passion for not letting others tell them what to be. When their rule-defying behaviour got the show cancelled, they were put to frozen animation, only to be rebooted in 2020, alongside Jayden's love interest, love rival, and two "fan favourite" secondary characters for an experimental first season. 

During the reboot, they were re-written so drastically that they suffered amnesia, with eventual flashbacks of the past, and stood up to be more than what their roles told them they could be.

Aditional information: They’re on their 20s (or rather, they’re 120 years old)

22. Partly answered in a general post for the others, but for C'oretta, her jobs of Monk, Dancer, Summoner, and Scholar follow the in game storylines.

She learned how to use a sword and shield from growing up around the Coliseum Gladiators, but she does not do the 30-60 Paladin story; she learns to free paladin in Ishgard.

She also knows Machinist and Rogue skills, but those were learned from friends, as other OCs do those stories.

13. Dark's pals with most of the senior Scions, though her friendship with Urianger was a little awkward after his return from the First and it took a bit for her to get an answer why (I need to finish writing that scene sometime; he had a sorta almost Thing going with Dark's shard and doppelgänger, Felina).

But Dark actually gets along best with the junior Scions like the Boulder brothers, the Cockburne sisters, Alianne and her grandpa, Ephemie, that elusive roegadyn duo, etc.

16. Iyna reads or trains her various combat and magic skills. She also tends to sit at a cafe somewhere, sunglasses on, and people watches out of long habit as a spy herself. She doesn't really have hobbies, so it gets close to overworking cuz she has nothing else to do.

girlll i get so excited every time you post oc doodles.. it is like a tiny little super bowl for me. i spent like all of today reading depressing post-felina fics where jesse goes to prison (which, yes, could have benefitted him in some ways but. like skinny pete said, they r just putting him in another cage! so not okay!!!) and then i was like oh right never mind… i forgot that demi and baby are very real and canon and supporting him and they are happy forever. sometimes alaskan little dudes just deserve to be peaceful and Free

the idea of voluntarily reading a fic where jesse goes to prison after felina makes me want to put myself in a brazen bull so props to u for Enduring that. like free my man, he did some of that but he also didnt do any of it and they cannot put him in another cage, he was too broken for that. thank fucking god none of that happened and he is in alaska hanging out with his family :) taking some tylenol and watching bad local tv and kissing his wife, as per my visions which are real and true and correct
