"the grass is brown everywhere."

had a bad week leading to a horrible weekend. long story short, the self-doubt caught up to me again. mental fatigue led to physical exhaustion in a sense. i slept too much, crawling into bed as soon as i got home. stopped eating and drinking because i'd just sleep instead. got to the point where going up the stairs in the hospital started becoming more difficult.

culminated in my silver weekend being 16 hours straight in bed. i swear i got hypotensive when i got up to pee. don't talk to me about how concentrated my urine was. finally looked up "sig e caps" again and was shocked to realize that i was hitting like, every single one of them. oops.

called my program director. got monday off from work, dragged myself into the hospital to meet. got set up with a therapy appointment (tomorrow).

honestly, this is the lowest i've ever been. i've struggled before, but never to this point. physically not taking care of myself this way is new.

went rock climbing today with someone who recently graduated from fellowship. i needed the time outside the hospital, the exercise, and the opportunity to talk to someone who gets it but also isn't someone i work with. that quote stuck. because the system is broken and unfair and it just fucking sucks that this is what we have to go through. i'm through the worst of it (for now), but i'm still crying a lot randomly and i don't know when things will get worse again.

it's just all so fucked up.
