Found a fix for Fall Guys' Windows crashes… I think.

The way I remember it, and which I ran foul of myself repeatedly for a year-ish, was that Fall Guys would randomly crash to desktop in mid-round from out of nowhere.

The crashes always happened while I was playing at 160Hz. Capping the game and the PC monitor (in the Windows settings) to 60Hz, appears to have fixed it completely.

I have yet to test with 120Hz at the time of writing; you will hear back from me once I have.

良い音がするのは判った

しかしソース自体が時代的にそんなに低域が無いのもあるけど、それにしても低域が出ないね・・・。 160Hz以下が緩やかにロールオフそんな感じ。 ソースをPROTOOLSに入れてEQかけて出してみた。

おおお。EQすればよいかんじじゃん！

低域の感じは余計なモワツキがなくて、歯切れのいいかんじ。低域を持ち上げてもへんなボワツキがない。 ライブでAMCRONでNEXOをドライブしたようなダンピングの印象。低音楽器の音がバシッと終わるべきところで終わる感じ。ダンピング特性がよいのか？とかんがえたけど、ダンピングできるほどの電源容量もキャパシタも持ってないので違う。良い具合に歪んだ高調波でそう感じるのか？とおもったけどそういうのとは違��気がする。

よくよく考えたら、デジタルアンプなのでアナログアンプでは付き物の低域の位相進行が無いからだと思う。 アナログアンプはどうしても低域位相が進んでしまうので位相補償回路を入れるか、無視して位相は進んだままの場合が多いので、どうしても低域の印象が多少なりともかわる。デジタルアンプの場合、原理的にPWM変調でスイッチングされる電力をそのまま出力する。位相への影響が少ないのでこういう印象になったのだとおもう。

ということで「良い音するのはわかった。そのうちトンコン付けてみるかー」とおもってBGM用に放置。
