"Yeah it's...Yeah it is. It's very.. It feels very different. It was.. It felt very different when we were recording it and stuff. Um... Um.. and you know, there's.. there's a couple of songs on there, that... that are special to me. There's another one as well called "When the Body Speaks," which, um, you know is basically Martin and myself... Martin playing guitar, We, I recorded the vocal and he recorded guitar, and we.. together. It was a real special little moment in the studio and um...we to keep it like that, as much as we could. And we added strings and like this throbbing sort of bass thing underneath@. - Dave Gahan (13 марта, 2001, interviewed in the studio by Kevin & Bean)

"I think some of the sort of quieter more intimate stuff might be interesting to try, you know? It doesn't necessarily have to be exactly as it is on the album. Maybe we'll try some different things, breaking it down a bit more. For instance, when Martin sings maybe he'll do something more acoustic with the songs that he chooses. Maybe we'll do that together with other things as well. Like, for instance, "When the Body Speaks", when we recorded that initially, the first atmosphere that was set for the album was basically Martin playing guitar and me singing. На другом концерте в Анахайме (Калифорния, США, 19.08.2001) он написал следующее: During "When The Body Speaks", David told Martin to get real close to him, since it was the last show.

Я просто хочу обратить внимание, как часто Дейв возвращался к этой песне, рассказывая о ней в своих интервью. Для него это было очень важно и интимно. Например, еще его высказывание на пресс-конференции в Таллине:

"Songs from our new album like "When The Body Speaks" when Martin plays guitar with me - in the studio we recorded that song when pretty much it was Martin playing a riff on guitar and me singing and Mark Bell was producing the album. We could feel the energy in the room was good, so we just recorded it quickly. And that became the really the basis of that song... and it’s pretty much like it’s live too. Changed as a little live - Martin comes right over next to me to play guitar, we’re together, it’s cool, I like that". - Dave Gahan (27.08.2021, Press Conference, Tallinn, Estonia).

"Indeed, solo cellist Chandler and a five-piece string section were deployed with chilling effect on the dreamy When The Body Speaks, perfectly complementing Gahan's vocal and Gore's guitar without compromising the trademark Depeche Mode sound that Bell was determined to retain". Далее Марк Белл (Mark Bell) рассказывает, как шла студийная запись этой песни. И становится понятно, почему для них, особенно для Дейва, эта запись и сама композиция стала необычной, волшебной и важной. По сути, их дороги вновь сошлись и они ощутили свое музыкальное единство на тот момент:

Mark Bell: "In the past I think they would have got Martin to play the guitar as perfect as he could. Then it probably would have been edited to make in even more in time before Dave sang over the top. So I sat them in the studio and recorded them performing together. I don't think they've done that for 16 years or more - apart from live performance. Then we wanted to take the acoustic aspect further and make it sound even more like an 'Unplugged' - type thing. Dave said he's got this friend who's a string arranger, so Martin and myself put the chords together and Knox did the rest". (Stripped: Depeche mode by Jonathan Miller).

Dave Gahan: "I'm not one of the most confident singers in the world. Mark was really encouraging, and he liked what I was doing. I need a pat on the back; I need that encouragement; I need to know that I'm bringing something to Martin's songs. Otherwise I wouldn't bother. I know I am - in my heart, but sometimes it's like, 'What am I doing here? Martin can sing this song. Why doesn't he just do it himself?' I felt like that a few times during the recording of [the] album, but Mark said: 'What you bring here is important; it's really valuable; it's part of Depeche Mode; and it's part of what becomes the song'. 📣С 08.09.21г. стартовало голосование за общественные проекты (громадський бюджет)

🎥Ранее нами был реализован проект "Летний семейный кинотеатр" на территории "ДК Корабельный" проект успешно работает, мы настроены дальше его развивать, но без поддержки громады у нас ничего не получится, обращаемся к вам за поддержкой, поддержать наши проекты под номерами 33 (Корабельний) и 32 (Корабельний 2)

👉Что они из себя представляют?

❗Проект номер 33 (Корабельний)

Это парящие разноцветные зонтики в воздухе на территории ДК "Корабельный" главный вход, дворик между колоннами, они будут парить над искусственным газоном для кинотеатра 400шт. Размер 20 на 20 метров (400м2).

❗Проект номер 32 (Корабельний 2)

Это 14 фигур животных сделанные из металла, а сверху покрытые искусственным газоном, высота примерно 2,5 метра, которые также будут находиться на территории ДК "Корабельный"

🙂Все проекты которые были ранее реализованы и будущее имеют свободный и бесплатный доступ для всех желающих.
