Kusai-San (3M)
The Alien Maid
She is based off of the Flatwoods Monster. She is nicknamed 3M, because she stands 3 meters tall. She is very self conscious about her height, and has a very insecure, reserved, shy demeanor.
Tumblr media
She is able to do housework, but her odor is so horrendous that people within her radius will faint. It is said to smell similar to that of milk.
Tumblr media
Despite her insecurities, she is very good-natured and will tend to get upset and cry if anyone close to her even if they are just sick with a cold or a fever.

Late jazz legend Dave Brubeck's 1953 MCM cantilevered house in Oakland, California is on the market for $3M. It has 4bds, 4ba, and is cantilevered 16 ft. in the air. Designed by architect Beverley D. Thorne.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Five steel beams project in two directions allowing the house to "float" above the challenging hillside lot, while preserving the natural beauty of a site that commands a magnificent panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The spacious living room features glass walls for a great view, plus a stone fireplace.
Tumblr media
This deck has the best view of San Francisco Bay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a dinette now, but it used to be the music room where the Dave Brubeck Quartet practiced. It's famous for the rock projecting out of the center of the house.
Tumblr media
I think the rock is the coolest feature. It sort of looks like a frog.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The large kitchen has been updated, but the cabinetry looks like original MCM style.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A small area of the kitchen has a bistro table set and opens to this deck.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Large primary bedroom is divided into 2 areas.
Tumblr media
Bedroom #2 has a nook with a desk.
Tumblr media
Bedroom #3 is smaller and painted a pleasant blue.
Tumblr media
Small exercise space has a nice view.
Tumblr media
This patio looks like it's almost as high as the roof.
Tumblr media
The drive leading up to the front door has a carport.
Tumblr media
You can see here how the house is built among the rocks.
Tumblr media
Check out the view at night.
Tumblr media
Attractive home balanced above a rocky .29 acre lot.
Tumblr media
Aerial view showing the location.

"America's Top Young Scientist" is a 14-year-old who invented a soap that treats skin cancer.
Heman Bekele, a ninth grader from Annandale, Virginia, won the prestigious award from 3M and Discovery Education, considered one of the country's top middle school science competitions.
"I believe that young minds can make a positive impact on the world," Heman said in his submission for the award.
"I have always been interested in biology and technology, and this challenge gave me the perfect platform to showcase my ideas," he said.
What is the 'America's Top Young Scientist' competition?
Heman spent the past four months competing against nine other finalists to be named "America's Top Young Scientist." The competition was created to help student between the fifth and eighth grades create an innovative idea that to change their world.
In addition to the prestigious title, young scientists who win the award get a $25,000 cash prize.
Heman won this year's grand prize at 3M's headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Oct. 9 and 10, according to a news release announcing the award.
Shripriya Kalbhavi, a ninth-grader from San Jose, California, won second place for developing a cost-effective patch that allows for self-automated medication delivery without pills or needles.
Sarah Wang, a seventh-grader from Andover, Massachusetts, came in third place for developing a glove that can detect certain epileptic seizures with common hand movements.
Shripriya and Sarah each won $2,000, while the students who placed fourth through 10th won a $1,000 prize and a $500 gift card. The other students recognized hail from Portland, Oregon, Baltimore, New Rochelle, New York, Austin, Texas, and Oviedo, Florida, among others.
More about Heman Bekele's invention to treat skin cancer
Heman developed a compound-based bar of soap designed to treat melanoma. The bar of soap costs about $.50 to make.
Heman hopes to refine his innovation and create a non-profit organization to distribute the soap to communities in need over the next five years, according to 3M and Discovery Education.
Competition organizers didn't immediately respond to USA TODAY's request to interview Heman on Monday.

La Mode nationale, no. 40, 9 octobre 1897, Paris. Notre patron découpé (Grandeur naturelle). Jupe slave. Bibliothèque nationale de France
Explications du patron découpé:
Cette jupe toute nouvelle pour la saison d'automne se compose de 2 morceaux:
No. 1. — Tablier se taille double sans couture; le milieu du tablier se pose sur le pli de l'étoffe.
No. 2.
This brand new skirt for the fall season consists of 2 pieces:
No. 1. — Apron is double cut without sewing; the middle of the apron rests on the fold of the fabric.
No. 2. — Back strip; the side connecting to the apron rests on the edge of the fabric.
This length relates to the front one by 1 notch in the pattern and following the letters AB in the drawing.
This skirt can be trimmed with strips of satin or wavy velvet in the same color as the fabric, all around the skirt, or only from the sides, leaving the front apron all plain. Our engravings give both aspects.
You need 3.6 meters of 120 fabric to make this skirt.

"We are fundraising to purchase 288,000 3M 9501+ KN95 masks from government surplus!
Our goal is $9,000 to win the auction and pay for transportation of the masks from VA to mask blocs across the country.
These include mask blocs in DC, Northern Southern and Central Virginia, New Orleans, St. Louis, and Champaign Urbana, New York City, Kansas City, Tulsa, Knoxville, Long Island and more.
Currently, a pallet of 12,000 KN95 masks is 200 dollars each. We are aiming to buy as many pallets as possible and deliver them to whoever wants them! If you want to support but can't contribute, consider sharing this to your socials.
#MaskBloc #MaskDistribution fundraising #COVIDIsntOver #MutualAid"
"We’ve made contact with the seller, and they’ve agreed to sell them directly at $200/palette!
By buying directly instead of through the auction, we will definitely be getting these masks. The only question is how many.
The more money we raise, the more palettes we can buy, and the more transportation we can pay for to get these masks to communities across the country!
ALMOST HALFWAY THERE!!! LETS GOOO!!!! Thank you all for your support, sharing and contributions. Speaking on behalf of all of the organizers, we are so stoked that this campaign is going well and about how many masks we are going to be able to get. Thank you!!!
Alt text: Flyer with periwinkle and orange color scheme. Text at the top says “Mask Fundraiser. Joint mask bloc effort (14+ blocs). Bulk discount on high-quality KN95s at surplus sale. Every dollar makes a dent. Asterisks. $4=240 masks. $200=12,000 masks. Goal: 280,000 masks.”
Underneath is an image of a large metal shipping container with 10 big visible cardboard boxes. Next to that is an illustration of a hand holding a white respirator with ear-loop straps that shows the text “kn95 gb2626-2019.”
Text at the bottom of the flyer says “donate: tinyurl.com/bulk-kn95s. Going to mask blocs in: DC, Northern/Southern/Central Virginia, New Orleans, St. Louis, Champaign Urbana, Chicago, New York City, Kansas City, Tulsa, Knoxville, Long Island, Cincinnati, San Jose & more. To be distributed for free to all of our communities.” Asterisks mentioned at top of flyer are resolved here, with an asterisk next to text that says “Portion of money also going toward transport and associated costs.""

I need to prune the followers a bit. What are my most important controversial takes.
I am an anarchist. Yes this includes your favorite heirarchy. The United States is an evil of unprecendented power. Abolish class. Civilization was a bad move, the mesopotamians really fucked us on that one.
I follow the transfem style of agender kung fu. I think gender and sexuality is socially constructed bullshit without inherent meaning. I have opinions on transmisogyny and think it's an important axis of societal oppression unique to transfemininity. Also DIY HRT is fucking based.
I have type 1 diabetes. I wear a P100 grade 3m particulate respirator whenever I'm in enclosed public spaces because covid is still among the most deadly transmissible diseases in world history killing millions, vaccines and previous immunity have only temporary benefits when a virus is allowed to mutate unchecked, and masks fucking work. If you don't wear one I don't trust you and think you're being an asshole. Wear a fucking mask.
I'm not vegan and won't be. Even outside of the dietary challenges diabetes poses, I've only gotten less inclined to it as I've aged and gotten more conscious of where my meat comes from. My family are fishers, my extended family are cattle farmers, you don't need to tell me about what meat cultivation actually looks like, I'm familiar. I've also been trying to get my hunting license. Nonetheless, you have a right to choose what you put in your body, and access to vegan alternatives should be available to all who need with with the same convenience and price as animal products.
On that note: guns are based, and anti-gun legislation is cringe. I'm not American. Any law is evil when it's enforced by the pigs, but even if it weren't, the only reasonable restriction to gun ownership should be showing an ability to use it safely, as you do a car. Which is similar to the setup we had in Canada, sans a couple of nonsensical gun bans and magazine limits.
Speaking of legalization, drugs are morally neutral. You should be allowed to put whatever you want in your body. In fact you should be given unrestricted access to knowledge to make a completely informed decision, equipment to do so safely, and strong support systems if you need to kick the habit.
And finally: Bad movies are the greatest things ever made. An inspired failure is always more interesting than an uninspired success. Make art freely, take critique easily. Believe it to be the greatest thing in the world while you create it and when someone says it's trash say yeah I see why you'd think that it's not perfect. The time for ego is in the creation and the time for critique is in the consumption do NOT reverse the two.

🌲🍁🥧 Harvestfest 🌲🍁🥧
(Valentina's POV)(AN: These next few posts out to be LONG since there's so many kids)
Tumblr media
This year we all made the trip to my parents house for Harvestfest, every year the family grows by a few that it's hard to believe that 10 years ago none of us were married and all 10 of us lived at home. 10 years later there's 6 of us married (with 2 on the road to marriage), and 16 grandchildren with a few more on the way! It's all proof of God's endless goodness and undeserved kindness in our lives! We decided to do an all grandkids picture so my parents can update the framed pictures they've got (and so my mum can have an updated picture to boast about all her grandbabies on Simbook 😂) Trying to get all the kids to stand still was definitely a massive effort, there were almost 15 of us standing behind the camera making noises and waving toys to keep their attention. The older kids did great at crowd control, we just had to move quick so no one started crying, because one crying child sets them all off and it would've been disaster.
Tumblr media
My parents have been loving having all of us at home again, my mum has been prepping for the past week to have us descend on her house. She's in the last few years of homeschooling the twins, and once that's done then she'll be able to retire herself as a homeschool mum. Dad is still running his tech business, and when mum isn't homeschooling she's actively working on her music as she has commitments to teach at various music camps. Zachary missed Kelsey this Harvestfest, she had arrangements with her family but they'll be seeing each other soon after so he'll be travelling back to Brindleton Bay with us.
Tumblr media
The Paulson Family: Carter (32) and Madelynn (29), with Lester (7), Fitzwilliam (2), and Alana (1)
Carter and his family are doing great! Carter continues to work for Willowcreek PD, there's been mention of him transferring out to move back to Newcrest but it's a decision that they're praying on right now. Madelynn is homeschooling Lester through a homeschool co-op, so the other two get to tag along and hang out with the other kids whilst their older brother learns. Little Alana definitely keeps the family on their toes, she's just like her cousins and loves a good runaround!
Tumblr media
The Townsend Family: Aria (8), Valentina (29), Abbott (2), Adele (1), Eric (32), Ansel (7), with Asher (2) and Abigail (1) in the front
We're very thankful for each other and for our little (or not to little) family! I'm so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with a family that has filled our hearts and our home, Eric and I thank the Lord everyday for his blessings on us.
Tumblr media
The Paulson Family: Alan (28), Tessa (23), Charity (3), Edgar (2), Jonathan (11m)
Alan and Tessa still live in San Myshuno and are raising their 3 beautiful children. Alan continues to work as a critic whilst Tessa stays home to watch the kids. Their family are always so encouraging in our various group chats, and they're always keeping us up to date with the on-goings of the pro-life ministry they work with. Tessa is always in Willowcreek to see her parents and her twin sister Tabitha (who is married to cousin Tanner), so the cousins (both 3rd and 4th generation) are always getting to see each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Celeste (27) and Reid (25) have much to be thankful for - they're engaged! Reid proposed a few days before Harvestfest and Celeste was overjoyed. The couple have already planned for a winter wedding before Christmas time, so Celeste has used the opportunity of having us all at home to immediately ask all of us sisters and as well as our sister-in-laws Madelynn and Tessa to be in her bridal party. Reid's parents video called our parents so they could greet the couple together when they got back to my parents house. Celeste is over the moon to be engaged and can hardly wait to be married!
Tumblr media
The Crocker Family: Gregory (28), Kristyn (25), Kayla (2), and Wyatt (3m)
The highlight of the year for Kristyn and her family was when little Wyatt joined them! Kayla is enamoured by her little brother and the family thank the Lord for his safe arrival. Gregory continues to work as a lawyer with his father's firm, and Kristyn now has two kids to keep her occupied.
Tumblr media
The Crawford Family: Tucker (26), Sabrina (25), and Campbell (1)
The Crawfords are ecstatic to be expecting to use another blessing from the Lord, Sabrina is almost in her second trimester and they're almost able to find out the baby's gender. By next easter they're going to have a new member of the family to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord in the spring! Sabrina said they'd announce baby's gender when we're next all together for Celeste's wedding. Little Campbell is such a smart little boy who is working towards gaining more skills, since they're around animals a lot he's great at recognition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Paulson Family: Jarrod (21), Madison (19), and Myles (1)
Jarrod and Madison announced to the family that they're also expecting - and its twins! They've recently found out and Madison already has the cutest little bump, little Myles doesn't understand yet but he's about to get a 2 for 1 deal on siblings and be a big brother two times over. Madison is going through the motions of a twin pregnancy, thankfully for her she's got me and my mother who have experienced multiple pregnancies more than once, with the way twins run in the family I'd be shocked if we didn't get any more twin pregnancies.

Kaixo neskak, have y'all already read the new thing about the Guardia Civil and Navarra?
Kaixo anon!!
Oh yes, and we're having such a nice time reading the headlines of the rightwing press!
For context: Basque party EH Bildu has negotiated with the Spanish government and, in exchange for their respresentatives' votes to approve the Spanish budget for next year, they got:
Basque and Navarrese governments will have a say in managing the income and administration of the taxes of banks and energy companies.
600,000€ to create a monument to the victims of March 3rd, and 3M € to turn the fort of San Cristóbal - a brutal prison during the dictatorship - into a remembrance place.
1M € to help Basque-speaking radio stations become online radios too, and 250,000€ more to promote Basque-speaking circus schools and shows.
2M € for the Mondragon University, 1.5M € for the UPV-EHU, and 1M € for the University of Navarre.
12M € for the pensions for the affected by Thalidomide.
1,200 resident posts for 2023.
15% rise in non-contributory paids until Dec. 2023
And the one that has broken the righties' hearts:
Retreat of the Guardia Civiles with traffic duties: now everything regarding traffic security will be responsability of the Navarrese Foral Police. This means that 220 Guardia Civiles have to leave their jobs and Nafarroa and this is completely unacceptable for the conservatives.
They're throwing their arms up in horror, sobbing oh after this is only chaos ahead, what will be of Nafarroa now without these poor 220 souls and their families! They're describing this as a drama, oh poor things!, they're even holding a rallie this weekend, it's all such a sad sh*tshow it's actually embarrassing.
If only conservative media were as concerned as they feel now towards the Guardia Civiles when workers lose their jobs, are underpaid, work unpaid extra hours, are forced by their companies to relocate or lose their jobs, are evicted, etc. These fellas just will be relocated and, oh surprise, many of them weren't even from Nafarroa to begin with.
We can tell you they won't be missed.

Itai-San
The Cringe Maid
Itai-San is a middle school student who loves dark magic. She says she's 100,000 years old, but she's actually 14.
Tumblr media
She is extremely childish (No shock there), and has chuunibyou-like expressionisms (term typically used to describe early teens who have grandiose delusions, who desperately want to stand out, and who have convinced themselves that they have hidden knowledge or secret powers). She often takes up the role of the protagonist, becoming a narrator of her own life or the actions of others around her. She does whatever seems the most fun at the moment, or what will cause the biggest scene that will get her the most attention.
Tumblr media
But despite her interactions with the strange incidents in Nijiura Town, among gods, demons, monsters, robots, and other supernatural beings, she often faints and does not remember any of them actually happening to her. This makes her believe that a lot of the events in the town were a part of her vibrant imagination.
Otherwise, she is very oblivious to the strange happenings around her especially with particular individuals she interacts with. (She would over-rationalize her situations. For example, 3M would just be a very tall lady to her.)
Tumblr media
She attends Megaku (The school for the maids) as a junior high student, and is a central figure within her school due to her expressionate behavior. She tends to study dark history and black magic, in order to practice her skillsets.
Tumblr media
She isn't a very good maid due to her young age and ignorance in housekeeping, but she is very good at arts and crafts. She enjoys creating and decorating replica weaponry.
Tumblr media
She carries around a dark history notebook that she uses to recite her spells. Though, it only does menial things such as making somebody's stomach hurt.
She is mortal enemies with Fanshii-San (Fancy-San), who stalks her, thinking Itai to be a soulmate from a previous life. Whenever they meet, they always battle.
Tumblr media
Itai is often treated like a younger sister by everybody in Nijiura Town.
She has authentic white hair due to her Germanic heritage from her grandmother, but her heterochromatic eyes are done by contact lenses.

Stunning fancy 1882 Victorian lady in San Francisco, California has 6bds. 3.5ba. and is listed for $3M. (I could go over there and hit the next door neighbors on the head w/my shoe for putting that horrid stone on their house.)

The architectural details are magnificent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a little dark inside, but it could be absolutely beautiful w/a little brightening up. If you like dark goth, just leave it.

Fancy lamp on the beautiful newel post. I like the carpet- it works.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge sitting room. They left the piano, but took the mirror over the fabulous original fireplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What is with these people removing the damned mirrors? We will have to go to the architectural salvage yard to try to replace them. Look at the pediment over the door, though, and the built-in cabinet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, the kitchen is a blank slate. The bones are here, though, and that wonderful drainboard sink. As long as some fool doesn’t come in and make it ultra modern.
Tumblr media
Cute little pantry.

Guest powder room is also a blank slate.

Wow, this is dramatic.

A 14-year-old in San Diego, California, was named the grand prize winner of this year’s 3M Young Scientist Challenge, the nation’s premier middle school science competition.
Leanne Fan developed Finsen Headphones, a low-cost headphone device that uses machine learning and blue light therapy to detect and treat mid-ear infections in children—potentially preventing up to 60% of hearing loss in children.
As a finalist, Leanne had been assigned a mentor—Dr. Ross Behling, a research specialist in 3M’s material laboratory—who worked with her one-on-one to transform her idea from concept to prototype over the summer.
Then, for two days in October, the nine finalists competed at the 3M headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, giving their final presentations of their innovations.
The world sees 700 million cases of mid-ear infections and nearly 21,000 deaths annually. Many of those impacted are children in underprivileged populations. Without medical access and or healthcare, diagnosis and treatment are often difficult. Leanne’s invention aims to provide an antibiotic free, low-cost option to detect—and treat—any mid-ear infection.

Yahou, bonjour tout le monde !
Tumblr media
