Hello!

Just an update that Chapter 17, “Dawn,” will not arrive tomorrow! Alas! Instead I’m shooting to post it on January 13th. :3

While I was thumbnailing I realized the art deserved more weight than I was originally planning to give it, and this short chapter was more important that I originally thought it would be. No spoilers (lol) but this is the last chapter where Bilbo will be in Bag End for a very very long time. There are lots of moments throughout the book where Bilbo nostalgically remembers Bag End and wants to return, and so it felt like I needed to give his little house more attention!

Please appreciate the background art in the next chapter, is what I’m saying 😂🤣

I’ll post some preview images tomorrow!

But the full chapter will (hopefully) arrive on January 13th!

hi i am going to ramble about builds once more LOL 🤸🏻‍♀️

currently running a draconic bloodline sorceror (red, fire) which - although i am not very good at playing sorceror, LOL - is actually quite badass, i am digging the dialogue options so far 😁 i may or may not be modelling him off zuko, LOL 😁 but unfortunately i fear adding in dual-wielding martialness somewhere may not be prudent 😔

but in any case, i really want the rest of the team to be heavily stealth and to try and exploit Darkness... (while my guy blasts from afar LMAO)

so far i've got:

karlach as a tavern brawler circle of the moon druid (mostly for panther)

astarion as assassin rogue

but i NEED A MONK 👁️👁️🤲 lol. my fingers are itching... i need to Unarmed Strike......... 😆😶 so i think i'll end up respeccing astarion to way of shadow monk (eyes the ritual of profane ascension sneakily) ? and then wyll can round out the team as an assassin rogue/ranger/fighter? (practice for when we delete his pact and he goes ranger 😁)

i miss my dream team (gale/wyll/lae'zel) 😞 but i really need to bench gale (1. i romanced him in 2 playthroughs basically back to back 💀 2. a sorceror AND a wizard might be too much lmao)... astarion will get his saucy bonus so he needs to be in the a team... i'm trying the karlachmance for the achievement... so no room for bae'zel :(

It's very possible that the only way to ensure you don't become a conservative old person is to keep checking whether you're wrong. Every time. Genuinely mull over the opposing viewpoint even and especially when it's uncomfortable. You absolutely cannot a) consider yourself safely incapable of terrible principles because you're a good person, or b) treat a your disgust reaction to something as a moral truth. You can't get comfortable. Tiring! But you'd rather be tired and choose the right path, you know?
