Inheritance: Adventure’s Call

With all potential hire-ons met and introduced, Madoc Parnell once again called them to the Broken Horn for business. He explained to all those present the nature of the expedition, one that would need all types of folks and a lot of preparing. They were headed to an uncharted island, led only by coordinates scribbled on the map left to him by his father-figure, Wolf.

Despite being incomplete, Madoc's map still provided enough information for the group to chart their destination. They were able to ascertain that the coordinates lay somewhere near the western side of the Sirensong Sea, though it could not be found on any official atlas or globe... They would simply have to see the location for themselves.

They planned to head out in a sennight via airship.

Brendemir Fenwick - Welcome Home

At long last, here is my half of an art trade with the wonderful @hithren, titled “Welcome Home”.

Firstly, thank you for being so patient! This was such a fun piece to work on because it contains elements of Limsa Lominsa and the Azim Steppes. I spent hours listening to Mongolian music and now I have a new-found appreciation for it. It pushed me to try out new ways of writing for the violin and I’m very happy with how it came out, having learned a few new tricks along the way.

Thank you for the art trade, Hithren. It was a great experience. :)

Scale Noun; a distinctive relative size, extent, or degree Character(s): Arshtat Ejinn, ft. Madoc Parnell @thrillofbattle

They had found each other, despite it all. Two souls set adrift from the same place and yet a place completely different. Each walking a path of their own making. And despite it all, again and again despite it all, their paths had collided.

Everything of them was different. The opposite. To compare any part of them would give vast degrees of contrast. A breach easily seen at a glance. Polarity.

He was a man of her homeland, yet he had never known it. His life had been harsh, shaded by a monster that haunted his steps. He was raised near the sea. The salt air was familiar to him. She was a woman of her kin. Destined to lead, destined for many things. She had only ever known the wind upon the plains, the feel of the river.

She was slight and quick. She drew arrows across her bow as if it was an extension of herself. The skill she carried was never flaunted. Was usually hidden by a demure smile and a gentle word. He was strong and solid. He wielded axes with the ferocity of a beast. He was loud, yet playful. Confident yet not foolishly so.

Her hand fit against his. It was small, pale, tender . Like the rest of her. Skin like silk, littered in soft scales that glittered like water under the moonlight. They were the colors of the sea, deep blues and violets.

His arms could easily hold her. Coiled strength reserved for times not with her. He was branded in a story of scars. The sun had aged him, muscles colored in the shades of earth. When her exploring touch trailed across his scales, they were hard, broken. Deep and dark.

If she was water, calm and cool, then he was fire, destructive and passionate.

Yet despite it all such differences, when they looked upon each other, they could not see them. It was not a scale they used to measure the force that had brought them one another.

They could not be more different. But what did that matter.

⭐ What is your OC afraid of? Any crippling phobias or some such? How do they act when scared and what helps them calm down? Does anyone ever find your OC scary? Why? (Arsh!)

Arshtat does not have anything that could be considered a crippling phobia, however she does have some lingering fears that she has yet to fully move on from. Due to what happened to her brother, and later Madoc, Arshtat has a fear of possession, or lack of control. In a lesser sense, Voidsent on whole also are harder to face down than any other beast. The fear most often manifests in the form of nightmares involving the night she was forced to cut down her brother.

If she has a nightmare, often Madoc's presence at her side is enough to calm her again. If it is not, sometimes a swim or a walk along the beach can also ease her enough.

She's also not aware if anyone is frightened of her, though it is probably doubtful.

The first and my longest standing OTP. Ya’ll knew this was coming. These dumb disgusting lizards. Madoc belongs to @locke-rinannis. I miss them. They deserved better than a silly sketchy doodle like this but I’m coming off of a lot of meds, and am extremely tired.

Another simple one just to catch up. This week is probably gunna be tough for me but I’m determined.

My tallest OC currently is Njola, who is a max height viera (though I think slightly taller than the in-game model) at 6′3′’. And Arshtat, of course, is my smol. She’s min height, but also a bit under than the in-game at 4′6′’. She a bab.

Day 3: Favorite OC(s) Using the OCtober2020 list by thepeachjane __________________________________

Something a little less refined and sketchy today, spent a good portion of the day at the doctor’s and I’m just happy to finish something.

It’s really hard for me to pick a favorite of all my characters. I love them all pretty equally. However, these three will always have a special place. Ellere and Kaz have been with me a really long time, and Arshtat wormed her way into my heart pretty easily and I love how far she’s come.
