So I had a few people ask for my thoughts on the upcoming “ash people” or fire na’vi so here is a concept of a cute couple and headcannons:
I think they will be a people associated with fire because their clans are located at the base of volcanos, benefitting from the volcanic earth.
bioluminescent dots glow red/orange
Eyes have adapted to extreme light and heat and in situations will turn into small slits.
Called ash people because of volcanic ash being constantly on their feet, they also have adapted to have thicker skin on hands and feet that can handle heat.
Charcoal and ash are commonly used in body paint and decoration.
Weapons and jewelry are made from obsidian like rocks and leather from large Komodo like lizards that dwell near volcanic openings.
OH YES their ikrans are basically large Komodo dragons that can run across volcanic plains. Initiation to becoming a warrior includes venturing into an inactive cave system to trap and tame your mount.
They actually have a very rich diet as volcanic soil is extremely fertile, very diverse and wild plant like grows from large inactive volcanic cracks.
this is all my thoughts based on the idea of “ash people” I have not done any actual research into what my man james in planning.

My anticipation for these two is insane and I can’t wait to see them.
More versions of the drawing under the cut.
The feeling when you Finally finish that WIP that’s been haunting your files lol.
Some clearer images without the background and overlays. Plus a version without the body paint.

Spider and the Ash People
A big thanks to @fictionramblings, this is the result of our brainstorming!
From what we already know the Ash People behave differently from what we’ve seen up until now. Apparently they have an antagonist behaviour towards the other tribes. It’s also relevant that in the comic books we are told that there’s a tribe who is known to accept outcasts and it might be them.
Ash is the symbol of death and penitence just as it’s the symbol of purification and rebirth. Aspects very fitting to a tribe that openly accepts those who were shunned by their people.
Eywa is used in many ways by the Na’vi we encountered and one is basically a moral compass. Eywa is tradition over progress, her three laws are what keep the Na’vi stuck in what by Earth’s standards would be a Palaeolithic epoch.
Actively seeking a knowledge outside of what is permitted could be one of the common factors in the shunning of these people, making them resentful towards this deity and reject her.
Taking into account the rejection of Eywa opens up a lot of possibilities.
Like for example their own coming of age ritual, they could be burning off their queues. This means that in order to use animals for transportation they would have to actually tame and domesticate them. Their rejection of the laws of Eywa permits them to advance technologically and I see them being fascinated with what the humans have to offer, or maybe see them as useful for their own agenda.
Here enters Spider, he’s human but able to communicate perfectly with them, he knows how to use human technology and most importantly he wants to be accepted by the Na’vi. Let’s say that after the Sully discover he saved Quaritch he ends up running away or gets shunned and meets with this tribe. He would have a chance to actually be part of the People as they are already accepting of outcasts and have an interest in having a Human between them for the aforementioned reasons and negotiating with the RDA. Not only that, but their burning of the queue and taming animals means he has the possibility of being the rider of the warrior mount this tribe uses. One could say that in the Ash clan he is Seen by the People. And he would be able to gain actual agency over his life. Spider could also be taking up a role as ambassador/ intermediary for negotiations.
Now if this was the case it would also make for a great reunion ground between him and Quaritch, as they would be standing basically as equals.

Who are the “Ash People?”
We’ve already potentially been given hints about the so-called “Ash People” that have been hinted at for the next film installment. In “The Next Shadow,” a comic centering around Jake’s first couple of weeks post-first movie, we see a conflict develop between Tsu’tey’s family and Jake. Tsu’tey’s mother, Artsut, is unhappy with her late son’s decision to have Jake lead, and attempts to dethrone him via a “first blood” rite. After having her youngest son, Arvok, unknowingly fight Jake with a poisoned blade, Artsut attempts to offer a solution to her child. This is what she says:
Tumblr media
“Clans, out there in the ashes.” Seems like a definite thread that will lead us to our next clan. These people are seemingly ones to not judge outcasts, ones who’ve gone so far as murder/attempted murder like Arvok.
Given that the clan is by a volcano, could they have a more volatile state of living due to the changing and growing nature of volcanoes? I dislike the notion of them being “evil,” so I hope that isn’t the direction this will take. I do understand, though, that having an entirely positive view of a people isn’t always the best either.
Now, their name. This isn’t confirmed by any means, and could be a totally different clan from what Artsut mentions here, but it does seem like the Ash People could be the Mangkwan Clan.

Miles and Zukriyä from A New Mission: Ash to Fire on AO3
Tumblr media
This incredible commissioned art for A New Mission: Ash to Fire was made by the talented and wonderful @quaritchsgirl! Her work is so phenomenal and really brings these two to life. I love them so much!
Accompanying text from my story~~
"Miles was intensely gazing into the fire with his arms crossed, the flames dancing in his unblinking eyes. Suddenly, he felt two slender hands emerge behind him under his arms and a soft warm body pressed against his back. His love. Zu said nothing, she just held him from behind and Miles looked back to the fire, content. Both carried focused, intense expressions at thoughts of what was to come tomorrow." ~Chapter 42, The Edge
Check out my massive Avatar 3 through Quaritch's eyes story if you'd like to see these two grow close and contend with incredible conflict together!

Avatar 3 script leaks
Potential spoilers ahead! If you don't want to know anything about Avatar 3, this is not the post for you. And for those of you who have seen the leaks, this is not new info, I'm like super late with this, I'm just trying to compile all the script pages into one post. Plus there is one page that I feel like has not been discussed enough, hence this post.
Spoilers under the read more, you have been warned!
Okay, first of all, yes, I'm well aware the script leaks might be fake to throw us off, or at the very least no longer true because some rewrites have happened. I get it. But, in this post, I will treat them as an accidental leak, so bear with me.
I think most of you are now aware of the first two pages, I have seen a lot of posts with them, so I'm not gonna dwell too much on those. Here are the transcripts, by reddit user hdk759:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another reddit user, Ereska, was able to transcribe a little bit more from the second page, so combined, these two pretty much give us the whole page:
Tumblr media
Right, so Jake and Quaritch have a little talk about Spider, who can now breathe Pandoran air, and for once these two are not actively trying to kill each other, so that's pretty interesting. What is also interesting is that all the kids are also supposedly there, when they rush to a wounded Neytiri (and on that note, where has she been? Who was she fighting?). Neytiri hugs her kids (excluding Spider, might I point out), then we cut to them all returning to High Camp where Tuk and Mo'at hug. And we have seen that scene in the behind the scenes footage, which is another reason why I really don't think the script is fake.
Note: Avatar Theory also did a video on these script leaks and in the comment section someone mentioned Va'ru is an old name for Tarsem, the new chief of the Omatikaya. So it's not a new character, just good old Tarsem, very wise for his young age :)
Onto pages 3 and 4!
These are sadly harder to read, since a lot of the text is covered, but a twitter user AkumuHoshi did their best to transcribe them too:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's a lot of stuff missing, but I found this screenshot from reddit user BentusFr which is in pretty high definition and you can read more of the text there:
Tumblr media
So we start off with Jake and Neytiri in a Biolab in High camp, looking at Spider, who's probably being looked at by the scientists. Jake talks about how Spider is now in danger and can't stay there, because he will become RDA's target if they find out he can breathe the air, and then Neytiri suggests: "If he is so dangerous [text hidden], you should just kill him." Cool cool cool. Guess she ain't warming up to Spider anytime soon. Jake, understandably, does not like that idea, to which Neytiri replies: "Toruk Makto knows [blurred text, but to me it seems like duty? I dunno, it's one short word, that one made the most sense to me.]"
The rest of the text is too hidden to make much sense of, but we do cut to a different scene - the Tree of Souls. Kiri is trying to connect to Eywa, but gets another seizure and Mo'at has to disconnect her from the tree. And then we have a scene with Mo'at and Kiri, where we find out it was Kiri who made it possible for Spider to breathe the air, and she did so without any sacred trees nearby, she just made the roots to obey her and performed the miracle. She doesn't remember actually doing it, but Mo'at tells her she knows in her heart, and Kiri admits she did it herself. Mo'at then warns her to tell no one about it.
So here's what I want to know, were Kiri and Spider the only ones included in that miracle, or was Jake and the kids, possibly even Quaritch, there to see it? Remember, on the first script page, Jake tells Quaritch "You witnessed it tonight." and then a "long night of horrors and miracles" is mentioned on the second page. So who all knows what Kiri did? Who is Mo'at trying to protect her from?
And finally, we get to the last somewhat readable page, there is still one more that is unfortunately too blurry to be readable, at least I never saw any mention of anything else happening. So, page 5 it is!
I have no idea when the scene on that page happens, could be before the events on the first four script pages we have seen here, could be after. Personally, I think it's before. But it's just a guess. Here's the previous screenshot by BentusFr cropped and rotated to get a better look at it:
Tumblr media
As far as I know, nobody has transcribed the text, and it does get more blurry as it goes, but the beginning is somewhat readable, so here's my best attempt at transcribing it:
VARANG WILLS Quaritch's arm to [text hidden] bulging, as his HAND OPENS and he [text hidden]
WAINFLEET takes a [text too blurry for me to read] untangling his head and arms, [can't read this one] He drops two WILD [blurry and hidden text] slams into the first na'vi to him [hidden text]
Another BOLO entangles his legs and [hidden text]
Honestly, from this point the text becoms too blurry for me to read, I do recognise a word here or there, but can't really make out a sentence from that. However, JAKE is mentioned in the next paragraph, so he's probably also there. Varang also goes on to have a bunch of lines that I sadly can't read. But if any of you can make sense of this text, by all means, feel free to let me know!
So it appears Quaritch and Wainfleet (and possibly Jake) get captured by the Ash Na'vi led by Varang. And somehow, Varang is able to control Quaritch's hand. Tsaheylu, anyone? Though probably not very consensual. But the idea of Ash people being willing to use their kuru for taking control of their enemies is quite interesting, and also really disturbing. And barely anyone talks about this! (And yes, I did make this whole post because of this one snippet of script, sue me.)
So why do I think this scene happens before the whole Spider can breathe Pandoran air miracle? The leaked image from Jon Landau's video. You know, this one:
Tumblr media
Here's Quaritch talking to Varang, still in his RDA military gear, with Spider, Lo'ak and either Kiri or Tsireya (probably Kiri) being held by the Ash na'vi in the background.
What if this is what leads to Wainfleet showing up to help Quaritch, and Jake and probably Neytiri (and other Omatikaya) coming in to save their kids, they fight with Ash na'vi, Neytiri stays behind which might be when she gets injured, while Jake and Quaritch get the kids out of there. And maybe, somewhere along the line, Spider's mask gets broken, they don't have a spare, he starts suffocating and Kiri saves him.
Tumblr media
So yeah. That's my take on it. Thoughts?

Ok, I kinda have a really out there prompt idea. It’s legit been in my head for so long. So it’s Spider-centric, I’ve read somewhere prompts where he is he gets yelled at or hurt and somehow ends up lost and caught up in a storm. He ends up in another tribe, most likely the Metka’yina and lives a new and better life.
Buuuuttt (here’s where my mind comes in) what if Spider is found by none other than the Ash Na’vi? Spider is found by them on an island or washed up on shore. Of course the Ash People immediately want to end the meek sky person’s life, I see them being pretty ruthless and deadly, but then the leader (Varang if I’m correct) sees an opportunity. Spider, so young and hurt, simply wants to be one of The People and have someone who truly cares for him. Varang, sees that, and so gives him that, at least somewhat.
Now a young Spider becomes trained by the dreaded clan of ruthless warriors, barely surviving the rigorous test but never giving up all for the hopes of finally being seen. And he really does keep up, fueled by his drive to belong and his tenacity. Combined with Varang’s brainwashing, Spider comes out as a deadly and formidable foe, one of the Ash People. Barely a shred of innocence and kindness remains, only the sense of duty and drive to fulfill the wishes of his stand-in mother (Varang).
So time goes on, and the Sully’s have established themselves in Awatlu. But instead of humans attacking, the since-dormant Ash People do. And it is in all the fighting where the Sully’s seem to notice a rather short Na’vi, wielding two short dual blades and donning a wrap around his entire face, but appearing to be coated in a layer of gray paint and dark stripes all over his body. What’s worse is all the scars and marks he has, like an experienced soldier. He falls in a large battle with the Metka’yina tribe, and it is when he is tied and captured when they realize who the masked warrior is. He doesn’t speak at all but they identify the ‘Na’vi’ the one who felled numerous warriors even at disadvantage, as their long lost friend and ‘brother’. But when they begin to try to connect to him again, they find so little remains of their best friend now. All the members of the family, even Neytiri and others try to bring back the sweet boy that once existed. But they find it shockingly difficult, for all that seems to remain is the warrior of the Ash People, Yo’ (“be perfect, flawless” according to the dictionary). But there possibly seems a shred of hope when the metaphorical mask begins to crack.
So sorry bout all this but I’ve had this idea for a while and wanted to share it 😅 Quote a few holes in the story but I like the idea of Spider becoming somewhat ‘different’ per say, and the Sully’s reconciling over the last when they see what happens to a supposed brother and son. A sort of ‘what have we done’ with a ‘what has he become’ kind of thing. But Spider angst to Spider love is all I crave.
Ash Spider AU
Oh my goodness, I want this story in my life so much!
I have so many ideas rattling around in my head for this story. It really could start similar to Storms of the Past, with Neytiri freaking out and throwing Spider out. But instead of the kids going after him and comforting him they are stopped, told Spider will be fine and to give him time.
Maybe Spider got lost, he was so upset he wasn't paying attention and before he knew it...
Night hits and Spider is still lost but now he is also surrounded by nocturnal predators, hungry ones. I'm picturing something similar to Jake and the Palulukan from the first Avatar. Not a Palulukan chasing Spider but a similar 'flee for your life' moment with a smaller predator. Difference is where Jake made the choice to jump Spider didn't see the cliff and ended up falling.
Norm and Max back at base finally realise Spider is missing and start looking for him. They call Jake where they find out Spider had left HOURS before. He should have been back to Hell's Gate before noon but never turned up.
The scientists and a few Na'vi start looking for the kid, only a few Na'vi because of who Spider was. Despite looking for days they never find him.
This idea also gives me a lot of ideas about the Ash Clan. Where they would live, their culture, how much the volcano is a part of their lives, etc... I've always pictured them in a coastal area, whether an island or not I'm not sure yet. Either way I've always pictured something similar to this...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is always lava flowing into the ocean, always smoke and ash billowing from the volcano. Big erruptions are rare but the Ash People know what to do, how to handle them so it isn't a big deal.
Even with the threat of the volcano hanging over their heads the Ash People will not leave. Their island is bountiful, plants and other life flourish there thanks to the volcano and the nutrient rich soil.
I really want to write this story but won't start it until I finish one of my other WIPs. Two on going stories is enough at one time. If anyone has thoughts or ideas I would love to hear them. I want to brainstorm this idea and try to get an outline going so when it is time to write I can.

Status: PROLOGUE (0/?)
Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4
Parings: Neteyam x Fem!UnknownOriginsNa’vi!Reader
Genre/Warnings: ANGST, sorrow, mentions of nearly death, romance, adventure, soulmate love, destined lovers, possible suggestive content NSFW/MDNI later on, no use of Y/N, clans never seen in films yet. All characters are AGED-UP.
Summary: During the battle with the SeaDragon, gunfire struck Neteyam’s heart. A mortal wound that heals itself under the astonished eyes of his brother, as if the Great Mother still did not want him with her. She has other plans for Toruk Makto's eldest son.
Nevertheless, his body is weak, and he falls into a slumber from which he can no longer wake up. His vital signs are stable, yet Neteyam is slowly slipping away.
He is waiting.
Waiting for the girl who has been appearing in his dreams since he went into a coma.
Sneakpick on the fem protagonist: Mi'niri is a Na’vi of unknown origins and singular appearance: very fair skin in shades of gray with desaturated stripes, auburn hair, and pearly irises with pale magenta highlights. She is raised within the Tawkami Clan by a couple who have never been blessed with a child. Her parents are held in high regard by the entire clan as skilled scholars and chemists. It is suspected that Mi'niri is originally from the Kekunan Clan, although she doesn’t share their somatic features, as she was found as an infant in the border area between the two clans and wore a bracelet on her wrist made of the typical garish colors of the Kekunan. She also had a toy ikran in her cradle, usually used by the clan as an educational tool. Mi'niri is sharp and intelligent, very curious about the ecosystem and an animals lover, but she never fully integrated among the Tawkami despite the peaceful nature of the clan.
Author's note: The idea of writing something related to Avatar TWOW has been floating around for a while now.
Like so many of you, Neteyam's death left a bitter taste in my mouth, so I started fantasizing about an alternative ending where the Prince of the Omatikaya overcomes death.
And, again, like so many of you, the anticipations about the Ash People gave rise to so many ideas that, alas, I can no longer ignore.
The story in question, although it has a plot already outlined, is still in the early stages of writing, to the extent that it doesn’t have a definitive title yet. And for this, I ask for your kind help.
Even if this is my first post in a very long - too long - time I hope you'll like it.
If you want to be tagged in the next posts, just write it in the comments. I’ll gladly add y'all💕

PS: I'm not a native speaker. Therefore, at times, my choice of style and vocabulary may be odd. Nevertheless, chapters will always undergo proofreading before being posted.
Let's cut to the chase and enjoy your reading!
PROLOGUE
The thunderous rumble of rain pelting the ground. The violent howl of the wind shaking the trees.  The desperate cry of a woman blended with the growl of a wounded animal.
Then nothing more.
Only the quietude of the eclipse and the reverberation of that roar fading into a wail.
Acala awoke with a start. She rarely dreamed, but never was there a dream that was so full of sorrow that it kept her from getting any rest. It was so vivid, so authentic. So vibrantly real. A choked sob betrayed her, causing an abrupt jerk by her side.
“Are you okay?" firm fingers held her wrists in the faint dimness of the night. She turned, her sight lost in keeping track of the glowing freckles that speckled that much-loved face. She couldn’t meet his eyes, but she could surmise the look on his face. His weary voice left no doubt; full of concerned, yet reassuring.
Minute shudders ran through her body, prepping her lungs to vent air in muted whimpers, before they descended into weeping.
“Hey, hey,” strong arms cocooned her, tenderly stroking her back with one hand, while smoothing her unbraided hair with the other. “Shhh, it’s alright. You are alright. It was just a nightmare.” “No!” she gasped against his chest, “We have to go. We have to go now!” “... Go where?” "With conviction, she affirmed “Into the forest!” as she fiddled with something. “Acala, you’re upset. Go back to sleep, it’s the wee hours,” he asserted, not in the least bit fazed by his mate’s irrational behaviour. She was all too familiar with such happenings after -- “Hurry up,” she insisted with more fervor.
Now that the woman had lit a torch, he could watch her closely. Slender fingers on the shoulder strap, her expression showed a seriousness and confidence about the terrible thing to come.
“Can’t it wait until tomorrow?” “They will die if we wait until tomorrow.” “Who--?” “Trust me,” she stoned, staring him straight in the eye in that peculiar way only she had, “Please.”
He couldn’t win against those eyes.
As they reached Greenhouse entrance, a voice called Acala. A gaunt figure emerged from the darkness; finely woven beads veiling her abdomen tinkled with each step. “Tsahìk,” she winced, “Oel ngati kameie (I see you),” she greeted, bringing two fingers to her forehead, right in the middle of her eyes. Her torso bent in reverence as those two fingers drew an arc in front of her. The old woman flashed her a smile, her gaze was affectionate and sympathetic, but bothered by the evident wrinkles. “Go, child,” she granted simply, releasing some of the tension that stiffened Acala’s posture.
Approval. The proof that what she was doing was the right thing. That what was occurring was actual and not a fabrication of her mind. For Eywa had also whispered to the one who interpreted the Great Mother’s decree.
“Fulfill your destiny.” “I don’t know in which direction.” “Nawna Sa’nok (Great Mother) will show you the way. Listen to her voice.” Her eyes, of a bright yellow with green around the pupil, met Sílron’zem’s, “Stand by her and be prepared”. “Prepared for what?” the frustration now impossible to control, despite being before the elder. “Providence can appear in enigmatic guises and its gifts may be found in the oddest of places. Yet a blessing must welcomed with an open spirit in spite of the fear.” “Blessing? What blessing might be concealed for us in the heart of the forest, when predators are at their most active?”
In stark contrast to expectation, Sílron’zem was unafraid of the forest. He ventured into the lush greenery of Eywa’eveng (Pandora), eager to absorb her absolute magnificence. He had undertaken such a journey as his calling, to which he had dedicated himself with every fiber of his being, regardless of the risks. But something in him changed upon meeting his mate. A compassionate and talented woman with a vocation for looking after children. However, it never attained her greatest longing.
The desire for motherhood.
A sense of incompleteness devoured her. What was once an exuberant girl, thrill-seeking and inquisitive, has dwindled into a mere shadow of her former self.  The whole village provided her with aid in confronting the unfathomable sadness that overwhelmed her. A sort of inexplicable melancholy. The nostalgic and poignant suffering of a mother whose child had been torn from her arms. How could you miss something you never had? It was something Sílron’zem couldn’t get, not entirely. He couldn’t grasp the feeling of being denied the purpose of a lifetime, the path you had mapped out for yourself. And surely, he could not estimate the magnitude of the damage caused by an anomaly no one else had undergone before. It’d never happened a couple united by tsaheylu didn’t beget offspring, their own palpable evidence for the continuity of the clan. The Tawkami were shaken to its core when this impossibility had befallen on the very person who most deeply wished for a family of her own.
Amidst the grief, rage was also present.
Why?
Why did Eywa mould Acala to be a mother if she had no intention in making her one? Why did Sílron’zem have to stand there still, witnessing the love of his life turn into an empty shell?
Finally, one last thought crept into his heart. If she ached so immensely over the loss of a baby she never had, what would happen if she also lost her mate?
Frightened, the man resorted to a drastic shift in his scientific pursuit. Explorations no longer held the same intrepidness they once did; he stopped staying away from Greenhouse for several days. He wouldn’t expose himself to danger anymore, so he would take better care of Acala.
He was willing to sacrifice everything for her, to make her beam with joy once more, to bring back the sweet smile he was so fond of. And now all his efforts were about to be in vain. Not only did his wife have a sudden urge to plunge into the forest, at night, under the threat of predators, Tsahìk was encouraging her. No matter his high regard for her, she had to give him a valid reason to go along with this madness.
“To become a father.”
Heavy raindrops pelted the leaves that sheltered them. The soft purring of a guarding animal. The distressed gasp of a terrified woman. The rustle of a bow ready to shoot.
The txumre' (slinth) snorted irritably, as if to rebuke them for their tardiness, before leaving.

So I saw Avatar 2: The Way of Water. 10/10 visuals and 6.5/10 for story. But I’m looking forward to #3 in a few years which is supposedly going to feature a tribe or clan(s) of fire Na’vi/ ‘ash people’. There is next to nothing on these guys in terms of info at the moment besides the fact that they are gonna be the bad guys of the Na’vi.
So everything after this point is basically my head-cannon/speculation/fanfic. Enjoy :)
Tumblr media
So I interpreted them as having a nomadic warrior society, not like other Na’vi but far more bloodthirsty in fighting other Na’vi tribes, who live near and around volcanoes.
They have a greyish-purple skin tone with sharp, dark stripes that sometimes form crude spiral shapes with darkened fingertips that end in sharpened claws, filing their nails to needle sharpness with volcanic rock. Their muscular and powerful tails have armoured plates, heavily clustered around the end of the tail and evolved from hair, which can be used as a bludgeoning weapon that can easily crush a human rib cage and femur whilst inflicted deep wounds (picture ancient Aztec obsidian clubs or ankylosaurus). The fire Na’vi tend to have amber to red eyes with dark grey/ black sclera. Compared to other Na’vi sub-species and variants, the fire Na’vi have a larger set of double fangs, a large pair of canines on their upper jaw and a smaller but pronounced set on their lower jaw, they also possess larger pointed ears that are often pierced when they pass the trials of adulthood.
The ash people prefer to keep their hair loose with typically only a few beaded braids and chunky plaits to stylise and manage, each bead has a significance to the person wearing it usually marking a hunt or battle, but sometimes can mark other things like the birth of a child or death of a loved one. When going to battle they will tie their hair into tight styles like braided buns, some even braid their hair around their tswins/queues an extra layer of protection due to inter-clan disputes involving the decapitation of queues as a savage battle tactic or prisoner of war’s punishment. The gesture is more symbolic than practical, even though some swear by the practice. When a person is exiled from the clan their hair is cut short to the scalp as a sign of dishonour, marking them as outcast. (Shorter styles are okay but anything above the ears is an exiles mark).
The fire Na’vi often choose to ride upon large creatures that resemble earth salamanders and some dare to ride upon a rare species of feathered Ikran. Many tribes are almost always accompanied by several large tortoise-like animals, twice the size of the direhorse/ Pa’li, these creatures are much slower but are great beats of burden as the clans often has to pack up their sites to avoid the ever shifting lava flows that litter the region they call home. In times of great hardship ones of these animals will sustain an entire clan for over a week. Moving great distances isn’t common but will happen in the event of larger eruptions which occurs once every few generations so the clans make a habit of moving semi-regularly in order to avoid overusing the lands which would incur Eywa’s wrath.
The ‘ash people’ decorate themselves in fiery colours that reflect the lava that spews from Pandora like blood, using a mixture of glass beads, gems and feathers, an amber like mineral being particularly popular among them.
Due to their warring nature, the warriors of these Na’vi take to wearing the bones of slain enemies as trophies, jewellery and sometimes even fashioned/ incorporated into weapons and tools. Nearly every adult fire Na’vi has scars from hunting or fighting and it is encouraged to have wounds from battle scar over, a member’s first scar from a conflict or life & death struggle is often celebrated by close family and friends as an unofficial first step into adulthood (Their first literal steps being a walk over hot lava rocks).
The ash Na’vi also create their signature red war paint using volcanic ash mixed with blood from a kill, either a great beast they hunted or an enemy Na’vi.
Contrary to popular belief from other Na’vi groups, the ash people do not practice cannibalism though they do use their very sharp double fanged bites to tear out throats should their hands be otherwise occupied.
Their interpretation of Eywa differs greatly from most other Na’vi as they feel that they are subject to her true fury and are thus stronger for it, they believe that all life must be preceded and followed by destruction and death for there to be rebirth or renewal. The fire Na’vi believe that they must always adapt or die, as their way of life requires for them to never be complacent or set too heavily in their ways, though strong cultural traditions have remained for thousands of millennia such as their weaving and culinary techniques.
Hope you enjoyed that little bit of cultural speculation of a fictional alien cat species.

This is my take on how the Ash Na’vi would look like and this the first time I actually name a character and give them a little side story so I guess I can called them my OC 😂😂 ¿
They still look bad 😂😂 and my anatomy it’s not very good but I’m working on improving it ☺️

Let me tell you a story about Mansk
Well, more like a story about me, lmao. Please look forward to a fantastic post on creature design for the Txepiva clan I made up and have been posting about. Soon! @straydaddy has been making my little creatures come alive, and I can't wait for you to see them, they look pulled out of a book on Pandoran wildlife.
Anyway, as we were doing some back and forth about them, how they evolved, how the clans use them, etc. Straydaddy kept making jabs about Mansk grilling on lava. And I figured that yes, it'd be great for him actually. He could evolve from grillmaster Mansk to firemaster Mansk. IDK.
Then I remembered I have two pieces of art in the same development stage...

So yes, I guess the Txepiva have a year long period where a youth proves themselves by exploring the world, and this one could well have gone to the sea side, and plucked Mansk out of a pile of seaweed.

But then, you know what, I think I still favour Sex Positive Ace Mansk, and I feel like he'd be happier in a trouple.
And you know who go to the Ash clans? Outcasts. So how about this Txepiva warrior gets himself a huge, scared, ice clan outcast wife?
She's got a head on them minimum. Big woman and her two malewives.

Mansk is the shortest, yes.

You do NOT fuck with her husbands.
