GALLADRABBLES : TRADITION 🥞

I did get in to learning Ukrainian traditions and forgot I was supposed to finding something to write about but I did finally get to writing and I feel like this is a very fitting tradition that Mickey would partake in :) @galladrabbles

Although Mickey never tapped into his Ukrainian heritage he remembered one tradition his mother would partake in and this stuck with Mickey after her disappearance.

Now he celebrates it with his husband - Maslenitsa, A week of pancakes in March.

Mickey doesn't really care about the send off of winter and welcoming of the spring but he does care that he can officially have a week for different types of pancakes that he forces his husband to make and he can call it a tradition with out Ian complaining ..too much at least about how he need to eat something health.

My besties have both said they may make an appearance on Saturday!!! So i intend to cook something delicious for them!!

#Ham and chicken lasagne with lightly spiced potato wedges and some roast seasonal veg. With garlic bread obvs. And maybe a creme brulee #Even if they cancel on me.... Its one of my family's favourite meals. So it will be fine. #I need to go get my ingredients tomorrow. #Well worth my final coins for the month. #I cannot wait to see my precious babies. #I will be absolutely gutted if they cancel (same as every other time but times 2 bc they both agreed to visit at the same time)

Today was such a godawful shift but took a bunch of free stuff 😭😭

#so started off pretty bad #my manager messaged me like hey can you do a 6-cls instead of 6-10 #and I literally called it #I eventually messaged no when I was on the train back #so I get to my work and was going to eat before I started #since I’ve barely eaten anything since we were in a rush this morning #but it was too busy I decided to eat after #and holy moly #as soon as you had like a few orders backed up #it would go increase by 10 😭😭 #it got to the point where this guy I was working with went on break #and a supervisor hopped on to cover him #but she disappeared #so I was by myself and had like 30 orders to do #I wanted to cry it was rough #and I have another manager asking if I want to close and it’s like I’ve already said no #there was one incident where food came back cold #and since it’s a veg option it’s going to take longer #and we put it on the grill and like 2 secs late this person asks how long it’s going to take #like baby girl we have literally just put it on the grill it’s going to take more than a minute #it just seems people lack some sort of awareness (?) #like you’ll do this remake then they’ll say why is this other order taking long like maybe because I’m making this remake that was inputed #wrong from the get go 😭😭😭😭 #like jesus fucking christ #it’s painful it really is #I guess the only good thing about today is I got a fiver from doing the guy I was working with dates #gatherrambles #g/work #thegapyeardiaries

I love my flavor of GI disease how do you explain to a dietician that stir fry and salad made you vomit and bloat to the point of looking pregnant and have explosive [redacted] for 3 days but you had a family-size portion of dandan noodles (rice) no problem provided you took digestive enzymes first. My gym teacher didn't believe I couldn't run the mile because she thought exercise-induced asthma was made up and the ways in which I am afraid this dietician will refuse to believe I can't digest Plants unless they are fully cooked until denatured & then Pureed or Liquefied,

Gotta start adding like 2 sachets of broccoli zucchini carrot baby food to my eggs or something

"a strict vegan diet of raw fruits and veggies" thats not a vegan diet. thats raw plant based eating. there is no such thing as strict veganism nor a vegan diet.

strict veganism isnt part of veganism. it would simply be strict plant based eating. i mean what even would be strict veganism? killing yourself if you accidentally step on an ant?

and there is no vegan diet because veganism isnt a diet, its a mindset and philosophy heavily based in facts. diet is part of veganism, but its a byproduct of said philosphy(?).

a vegan diet can look 100% plant based, or it can look omnivorous, because its about doing what you personally are able to do, which looks different for everyone. not everyone can go 100% plant based, which veganism recognizes.

#this is about that horrible situation of a family killing their child through malnutrition #like say what it is as abuse and neglect #but stop putting vegan in the title for clickbait #cant even say 'claims to be vegan' #it might seem like whats the big deal that shouldn't be my focus #which its not! but its inevitable that someone is going to use that situation as a gotcha #bc it happens every time which isnt much but still #anytime i see vegan in an article of abuse or wtvr the description is always plant based #and it makes sense. its diet culture #people dont want their babies getting fat or they dont do proper research into actual healthy meals for children #they just look at fruits and veg and look up diet videos and then feed their kid lettuce #anyway its sad. idk how anyone could claim to love their child and then basically starve them #like you can raise a baby vegan thats been done and theres info and studies done #but like maybe talk with a doctor??
