AITA for talking shit about and leaving a friend with severe mental health issues?

For context, everyone in this story is pretty young, in Year 11/12 (American equivalent would be sophomore/junior year) and we live in a pretty religious country

I (16M) met a friend (15F) through her approaching me and saying my pins (including a pride pin) was cool. We clicked immediately, i went over for sleepovers and became close with even her mom. I only once brought up politics offhandedly, and she got quite uncomfortable, but i thought nothing of it at the time.

She constantly told me that I was her only friend who "understood" her, and would be there for her, so I never brought it up again. However, when I was introducing her to another friend (who is very gnc and identified as transfemme at the time) we opened up her youtube reccomended and it was quite literally disgusting.

JK rowling, terf videos and tradwifes galore. Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro, you name it, she had literally nothing except videos titled shit like "trans people mutilate themselves".

I was very hurt, because I happen to be trans, as well as most of my friends and my partner. I questioned her, but she pulled the "mental illness" defense. I was scared of her hurting herself so i apologised (to my other friend) and tried distancing myself from her, admittedly made a few jokes at her expense to others.

She began being more radicalised, positing insane, borderline qanon stories, but my plan to cut her off was interrupted by her going missing and me having to be the one coaxing her back to school, i felt she was too dependant on me to be as harsh as i shouldve been.

The final straw came when she 1) said she thought of my (healed) scars as something that encouraged her to self harm and 2) when i found out she outed me and my partner as T4T and queer to a random transphobic youtuber to put in a cringe compilation. this was not only immature but really dangerous to us.

Heres where I might be TA: my partner confronted her because he was worried about my mental health, and she apparently showed up to school and cried. I felt bad, but when i first found about it i laughed about it, and didnt support her even when i knew she had no other friends.

My partner asked her to either stay away from me or not express her beliefs, and as a result she called me crying that night, borderline suicidal, and in a panic I soothed her and said I wasnt going anywhere. A couple days later, a mutual friend sent me the screenshots of her outing us, and I think that sort of made me snap.

She used her religion as a shield against finding us "disgusting" and wanted a video made against us etc etc, describing horrible statistics and threats, describing "mutilation" and I felt like i couldnt endorse that attitude towards trans people in good faith, so i argued with her over text, with her accusing me of manipulating her multiple times.

Again, I mightve fucked up here because I called my friends while texting her and talked shit about her during this confrontation, sending screenshots of our private dms to them, and afterwards she became a bit of an inside joke within our friend group- she also left the school because i think she had barely any other friends.

I cant help but feel like i shoudve been more mature about it, and especially because she was ill, i dont want to be That Guy that makes fun of vulnerable people, even if she sucked herself. So, tumblr, AITA?

ok some quick warm up doodles this morning to go with the chat i got... tw for torture, stalking, really sad stuff.

ok to start off with, jane/liu aren't TOO present in my story because jane and liu live really normal lives. most of their personal story is about recovery and growth, they were victims not aggressors. they're more involved in ninas story, rather than the overarching slender/operator paranormal problems...

jane grew up in an upper middle class household with incredibly loving parents. she was majoring in criminal psychology and lived with her parents, since they were close to the uni. it was during her second year in university that jeff began stalking her. he'd leave dead animals on her doorstep, light fires in her garbage cans, shatter windows without even entering the house, key her car, leave cryptic writings on her car that say stuff like '1f' (1female) to further scare her.

it wasn't that there was anything special about jane, but she had a super easy, very strict schedule to follow. her uni classes were all in the same building at the time, her car had a few cute stickers and decorations on/in her car that made it easy to spot, she only worked sat-mon at a cafe near her university. she was a happy person. easy victim he thought

eventually, while jane was out, he broke into her home and assaulted her parents. whether he used drugs or just stabbed them in the right place to make them immobile idk, but he got them tied up in the kitchen at some point. he was torturing them, doing the typical carved out smile bullshit, and he planned on leaving them for jane to find that night -- but, for the first time, her schedule was different. she came home from work while he was drenching the house in gasoline.

he panicked upon hearing her absolutely gutwrenching scream and quickly lit the trail of gasoline while she was trying to untie her dad (her mom was long gone by this point, her dad was barely managing a few wheezed breathes). he went to go finish jane off. he slashed her face, from her right temple, down her cheek, splitting her mouth in half and getting down to her left jaw. but the fire was spreading way faster than he anticipated, and he already heard sirens, so he bolted.

jane suffered 3rd degree burns covering her entire right leg and arm, it reached up her neck and her face, alongside some other parts of her body. she was pulled out of the fire, rushed to the hospital, and barely managed to survive.

jane had some outside family to support her, but her biggest supporter was her friend from middleschool mary vaugn. she moved into mary's house, took a semester off of school for recovery. the second she felt physically able to, she tried to drive herself right back into school, regardless of her mental condition.

she changed her major to criminal justice. she eventually graduated, fell in love with mary, got married, became a private investigator, etc. she spent a while working on jeff's case, losing sleep and hair over it- she was getting into some sketchy things to try and figure it out, because by this point jeff and ben were friends, and slenderman needs ben's help, so jeff's now protected by slenderman

but jane is one stubborn fucking woman and kept going. instead of sending the proxies to subdue jane, he sent sally.

sally was another poltergeist that kept haunting homes with newborn babies. she was attracting some attention, but slenderman cant physically stop a ghost - so he spent some time talking to sally, connecting with this little ghost girl and convincing her 'you're doing such a great job protecting all these infants, but this one needs you now'

he sent sally off to live with jane. mary's sister was staying with jane/mary after having a baby, so sally agreed to protect the baby. jane quickly welcomed sallys presense, always having believed good things of protective spirits. her mom used to tell her stories of how her grandmother's ghost would always come and soothe jane in her infancy (whether its true or not doesnt matter to jane) .

sally eventually became more than a presence to jane, almost completely integrating herself into her household's daily life. even after mary's sister and her baby left, sally stayed with jane. she felt safe there. (it helped that there were no men in the house too)

jane cares for sally like a daughter for a long time, and begins to redirect her life towards sally, rather than hatred for jeff. she never fully recovers from that night, and she never ever ever ever fucking 'forgives' jeff in any way, but she puts it aside for a while.

but sally is still a spirit, and does her fair share of wandering. she's always landing herself in the cornfields, the forest, etc, and jane goes frantic looking for her -- which is where she eventually bumps into the proxies. it's a huge mess, but she finds out what the fuck slenderman is and whats happening in that forest, but she just . . cant do anything about it. for sallys sake

eventually they get to the point where jane commonly finds herself walking in the forest with sally, or the proxies have to call jane and tell her to 'get her ghost kid' from the forest, etc.

at some point in this she also connects with liu. i don't know who reaches out first, whether it be liu desperately wanting to apologize for everything, or jane trying to figure out anything about jeff she can use to find him. this is how she finds out about nina.

jane smacked the shit out of nina when she first met her, in front of the proxies, who had to pull them apart. (i love nina but she deserved it after idolizing jeff). but nina is really fucking weird and began to idolize jane as well, and sally liked nina, which made it even more complicated, and that's why jane is the first person nina calls after jeff stabbed her ...

by this point janes hoping nina can heal, hoping liu can heal, hoping she herself can heal. ITS VERY HARD. its so unbelievably painful. that's basically where her story is at right now...

on a more positive note, she has a beautiful relationship with mary, and was hugely accepted in mary's family. she does poetry, creative writing, and is passionate about her career. she takes some extra creative writing/art courses at the local community college, just out of pure interest. she does her best to live a peaceful life

a bit off topic, but here's a little thing i copy and pasted from an old hc post too:

i cannot explain how close jane and her parents were. she was an only child in a upper middle class house to a lawyer and a real estate agent so she was always spoiled rotten, taken care of, always told how beautiful and smart she was. hence why losing them is the most fucking detrimental shit to ever happen to her. she literally worhsips her parents. she’s wore mothers wedding dress to her own wedding. her uncle(dads brother) walked her down the aisle holding a framed photo of her dad. she almost refused to walk during her university graduation because her parents couldn’t be there, despite the years worth of hardwork and dedication she put into it.

Shanks and mihawk frequent the same gym. It's mostly a boxing club/gym kinda. And really, it was Shanks' gym first, he's been going here since forever. He met Ben, the owner, during college days. They were decent mates and when he moved back to the city and was looking for the local gym, Ben offered him a free trial in his boxing club and that's how he started doing box as a stress relief instead of just your regular gym activities.

He's become quite the name in the gym. For a hobby, he was quite good at it and people from other clubs came to challenge him sometimes and check what's the fuss about. It was safe to say he lived up to the hype.

So really, post work activities were greatly stress relieving. That is untill the new guy came in.

He usually got to know all the new faces even tho he had a specific time where he visited the club. He usually goes in straight after work, so let's say from 6pm to 8pm? (Or something along those lines) so usually newbies, even with different gym time, made sure to visit at least a couple of times during his visiting time just out of curiosity towards red head shanks everyone speaks about, and usually, everyone ends up satisfied even if they get their ass kicked by him, he was just so friendly that you cant resist him even if he hands you your ass back on a platter.

So when he hears about the new arrival that's quite as good as him at kicking ass and he hasn't met him even tho he's been hearing about him for a month now, he's intrigued and miffed. He's not egotistical to the point of being bitter that this new guy didnt visit during shanks' gym time like everyone else, but he couldn't help but take it as a challenge.

So shanks, for once, changes his gym schedule and goes at 9pm (not that he annoyed ben to tell him what time the new guy is around usually..) When he goes in, it's a happy surprise, everyone's going "hey red!" And "What's up man?" And "let's go for a round, red!" And he feels as happy as a king liked by his people which is silly, he reminds himself he's no king, the boxing club is not his kingdom, these are not his people and he's so not here to prove himself as the true boss of the gym, he's just here out of mere curiosity.

So really, he didnt know what to expect but the man in the ring with piercing yellow eyes and dark furrowed brows, skin so pale that the dark moles mapped on it looked like constellation, and curly fluffy hair held in some sort of tiny ponytail with some wild strands sticking to his sweaty forehead just took his breath away as he landed his opponent on his ass with a swift punch.

Ben, who appeared out of nowhere next to him, snorts at his friend's startruck expression and shanks' annoyed because "you didnt tell me he's a pretty boy, ben!!!" And ben's like that's hardly a boy, that's a full grown man in his 40's and shanks' interest is piqued. So it turns out, ben knows the guy, his name is mihawk and he's new around, recently moved in for a job.

Mihawk was an upcoming icon in the ballet world from his teens to his late twenties. The reason he stopped is due to a career ending injury. He was such a big name in the industry tho, his talent couldn't go to waste so he received multiple invites to teach at prestigious schools which he accepted, but at some point in his career ballet instructor, he got tired of the drama and pressure that comes from big named schools, he decided to settle in a smaller caliber establishment instead.

The reason ben knows all this is because his daughter goes to the ballet school mihawk works at, and while getting to know the man and his interests, he invited him to check the club out. To his surprise, the man ended up being great and making up quite the stir among the regulars. He was so sure it would tickle shanks one way or another and he was right.

Shanks is completely amazed that this guy in front of him is actually not a professional boxer and instead a fucking ballerina. Like this man dances in tights for a living instead of punching people in shorts like he's doing right now. Shanks is literally having a whiplash and dont know which is hotter, all he knows is that the guy is fucking hot and he wants to both fight him and get in his pants!

So he enters the ring after mihawk's opponent leaves, and with the intention of being charming and full of rizz, he opens his mouth, except he's still under the whiplash effect so instead of saying smthn normal, his brain to mouth filter disappears and says "I bet you look hotter punching that guy while wearing your pink tutu" (you can totally hear ben facepalming) and mihawk snaps his head at him, one eye twitching then a scowl takes over his face right away and he goes "if you come up here, I'll show you just what i can do in a pink tutu." (Mihawk meant it in a threatening way, shanks got that but it still didn't stop him from popping a boner right there.)

Mihawk has been frequenting this boxing club for a month now after one of his students' parent suggested it and he's been liking it just fine. People dont engage with him unless it's for a match (probably because they tried to talk to him and barely got anything more than grunts back as an answer, so they just assume he's not the most social of lads out there) and even though there's no worthy opponent of his time, he still finds it decent. Untill this red haired jerk appeared out of nowhere, having the audacity to mock his career? How dare he? What does he mean by pink tutu? Mihawk is a fucking male ballet dancer, he wears fucking tights not tutus! He's genuinely offended at this knobhead who's looking at him weirdly (shanks is NOT drooling.)

Ok idk how to do this so ill just start with myself (or better my parent)

Bcs we all know im a whore for op characters and I really didn’t wanna go basic and just be mals sister or smth I decided to put wanda aka scarlet witch into this universe (basically after the whole no more mutants thing she was banned into the universe by dr strange and professor x or smth yk idk and she tried to get back and that caused some trouble so she was put on the isle of the lost) haha my dad is hades btw but I don’t know it, my mum doesn’t know him either it was more of a ons gone wrong situation

Nowww some stuff about me, my name is scarlet pietra maximoff (yes after Pietro) and im 16 in the first movie. I basically have my mums powers but cant use them on the isle obviously soo idk that I have them until i get to auradon. Also wanda is more like her comic version but since idk the comic events bcs I haven’t read them there are probably inaccuracies lmao. I speak sokovian and exclusively sokovian with my mum and its my first language but English with everyone else. I have red hair in the first movie (but like scarlet red not ginger) and then in the 2nd at the start I have dark auburn / brown hair and in the third I have like dark red hair with like black roots? Idk how to describe it. In the first and 2nd movie I have like red eyes (not in a creepy way) and in the 3rd I get blue eyes, ill say why later.  My main color is red yk scarlet witch and shit and idk what else to say haha but feel free to ask questions

Plot of movie 1: I go with all the other vks (its just 4 but ok) to auradon but except like 1 month to the coronation like in the movies it’s for the whole school year (idk when the coronation was but id say like June or smth) soo from august on. Since my mum is kinda yk abandoning me and being a shit parent bcs shes still grieving and some shit I basically was always around the other 4. Then once there everything kinda plays out like it does in the original movie except for my powers embarrassing me around ben haha idk I think its funny to have my powers go cray cray when im around him (also we dream of each other before we meet bcs *soulmates* but like without seeing faces and stuff). Then mal comes up with the whole love spell thing but it’s a bit different, it only works if the person casting the spell loves the person theyre casting it on (idk I needed an excuse for why mal would let me cast the spell) soo yeah I do the spell and then I basically take mals place for a bit. The whole parent day thing comes up (in the zoom thing they do with the villains my mum doesn’t show up tho) and audreys grandma still grabs mal and stuff and my powers kinda work subconsciously and yk pull them apart and make chad fall into the sleep thing so then everyone hates us (especially me) again and I feel terrible. Coronation day, same thing, love spell gets dissolved bla bla bla. Jane takes the wand, I take the wand from jane, maleficent comes and I give the wand to mal and mal gives it to the fairy godmother, maleficent freezes everyone. Now it strays from the movie basically mal fails to turn maleficent into a lizard like in the movies and she gets also like frozen then I come in and save the day and then fall into like a small coma bcs my powers feed on my life force / energy yk and that was too much. But then I wake up again.

Movie 2: beginning is the same except I replace mal as yk future queen but mal still feels overwhelmed and misunderstood and runs away after the picnic scene (its me and her in the scene, I replace ben in that one). Basically i find out and tell evie and she tells ben and they convince me to stay put while they go get mal bcs yk the coronation thing was scary and im not the most popular over there atm. Ben gets captured, the boys get me to make the wand bcs printing it takes too long, we go back to the isle and we save ben. I use my powers but not that much yk just I know my boundaries. Fast forward to cotillion, uma still spells ben, she turns into a sea monster and I start idk fighting her but since I used so much of my powers the day before already to make the wand and in the fight so yk im nearing the edge of too much. Mal turns into a dragon, ben jumps into the water, does a less y/n pick me version of his speech, uma goes, mal turns back but doesn’t have the big purple dress moment, just a small purple dress moment (like not the big ass gown but more of a cocktail party dress) bcs theres no way shell steal my moment haha

Movie 3: same thing the whole time basically except that when Audrey shows up and spells ben, I go after him immediately and the boys find me while they search for ben in the woods. Mal still gets hades ember (and finds out im her sister during it) and also still promises uma that she’ll free the villains but since shes not the future queen in my dr she doesn’t have jurisdiction to push that through and when I tell that to mal and uma and that I cant just do that uma gets angry and leaves like in the movie. Also since imo the whole ‘we’re not evil anymore and all are happy to go to auradon’ plot doesn’t happen in my dr bcs its stupid haha. In the end I fight with Audrey and get my wandavision scarlet witch transformation moment and yk basically shes agatha and im wanda (she not only took maleficents wand and the crown in my dr but also the darkhold which is still like a dark magic book but without the corruption part, its kinda like the ring from lotr, it corrupts everyone except the owner yk so I don’t get corrupted if I use it but Audrey does) and I absorb hades ember during that thing (Audrey is holding it) which gives me *drum roll* blue eyes. In the end the exchange program will be continued but yk not the barrier lifted bcs the villains are still villains and wanna get revenge (I believe in character development but that whole plot was just stupid af on Disney part sorry not sorry).

mike loves animals and shows off all the farm animals to the other losers and also def has a dog that eddie loves but pretends not to even though the dog also loves him

ben loves the act of designing buildings but was never that good at math so college was a little rough. also his interest in archeology started after he read percy jackson in middle school cuz annabeth loved archeology

-shes very stuck in the 60s, before she met max and assumed her more dignified appearance she used to be a wild party girl stopping by planets and assuming different skinsuits to fit in. she stopped by earth one day and loved it so much she decided to stay and play with what her identity should b

-she takes ben and gwen to buffets a lot mostly because she likes to eat a lot of food even though she doesnt need to, and she always encourages gwen to eat more bc shes 'so skinny' which she thinks is hilarous bc gwen cant gain body fat. verdona is usaully the one laughing at her own jokes but she doesnt care bc shes having a great time

-living on earth for so long did a number on her, as she became depressed and tired all the time and became a shell of her former self, but she can never bear to part from it bc she loves the culture and the people so much. its the easiest place for her to assume a new identity and make up a new role for herself. she cant really understand gwen bc gwen sees her person as who she really is and doesnt want to change or switch around, and verdonas never felt like that before. she cant understand why gwen stays in a body that will constantly betray her and that she can never fully love, and verdona wants to free her from this bc she wants gwen to be happy, along w putting more anodites into the world. verdona cant get past how she felt when she was trapped on earth and assumes gwen feels the same way, and cant comprehend why she doesnt.

the story of emma goes as follows

at 18 she moved to london to work at a small online music publication. this was about 10y ago

she fairly quickly became involved with her boss - a man in his 30s, who had lived in london all his life

he seems to have money (my mum says emma's mum doesn't know where it comes from)

they stay together. i have no idea what happened in the interim really except that in the past few years they've bought a boat + have been travelling the world via boat. she has no job or income of any kind; he has all the money; they are both just like. on this boat at all times. if she wanted to leave i have no idea how she'd do it

all of this would be concerning but less horrifying if they did not have a FIVE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER together. he is an extreme antivaxxer and anti-school etc so this girl has never been to school or had a single shot. she just lives with them on the boat. currently they're moored in zanzibar. there is no safety equipment on the boat so she just wanders around freely on top of the water. the closest thing to an education she gets is emma's mum talking to her on skype and trying to teach her basic letters + numbers

anyway basically: what the fuck!! i literally cant stop thinking about this - she was SO smart, so cool, so nice, so RATIONAL!! like what on EARTH happened in the interim?? idk which option is more disturbing out of the two options of her either being controlled entirely by this awful man or that she's bought into all the shit he's selling

⋆ maybe its just me, but i feel like a lot of what sieun listens to would depend on his mood or what hes doing in the moment !

⋆ when hes going about his daily life or needs a mood-lifter ? definitely gravitates to genres like soft pop + indie ! for studying ? hes probably got those lofi music streams pulled up in the background- always has the volume super low though, otherwise he finds it hard to focus :,)

⋆ still, whenever hes missing suho or feeling down, he tends to put on some of suhos favorite songs :(( in a way its healing for him; it reminds him of the good times they shared, and even if he cant exactly be around him now, he can still be connected with him through song~

⋆ since i think hes more of a genre person than an artist person, i dont think he rlly has any favorite singers/groups ! but i do think hed like stuff by IU, Heize and a lil bit of Clairo, and other similar artists~

ben park / park humin

⋆ definitely a pop enthusiast imo !! i feel like he would enjoy more upbeat stuff that gets him in a good mood, or that he can work out to lol- (also would love listening to stuff he can do impromptu karaoke or fall over dancing to when nobodys around lmaooo) hes a pretty energetic guy, so it only fits that hed enjoy energetic music as well !

⋆ would also love latin music, w a soft spot for the oldies (and reggaeton) :)) i see him having been raised on a lot of his mommas favorite artists from her teenage years and enjoying them together being a fond memory from his childhood~ but also i think he would enjoy a lot of older music in general, as its very nostalgic for him (and who doesnt love indulging in a bit of that ?)

⋆ i dont think he has a lot of favorite artists, nor is he a superfan of any, but some of them would be Crystal Kay, Selena, Kali Uchis, Red Velvet and 1st gen groups like S.E.S + Shinhwa ! but a lot of what he listens to is whatevers popular or playing on the radio (or even songs his sisters show him !) lol, so he isnt too picky :,)

⋆ listen . this guy canonically had an emo phase (if u can call loitering by the ocean "emo") so if that doesnt tell u where im going w this, thennn .. :,)

⋆ listened to a lot of classic emo/screamo bands like Pierce the Veil, Of Mice & Men, Asking Alexandria, as well as Bursters ! probably found the mv for caraphernelia while scrolling through youtube one night and fell down a major rabbit hole, but it introduced him to a lot of bands that got him through middle school :D

⋆ though hes older now i dont think he would ever really grow out of that phase, so his tastes are still similar ! definitely listens to a lot of rock/metal subgenres (post-hardcore, nu-metal, alt-rock, etc-), but i also think hed really like hip-hop too ! doesnt listen to much outside of these genres tho :,)

⋆ imo, some of his favorite artists + bands would be ones like Seotaiji (including his stuff in Seo Taiji & Boys), Bursters, Dynamicduo, Sevendust, Girugamesh and a bit of Pierce the Veil !

gerard jin / jin gayool

⋆ being the music junkie that he is, gayools likes would be broad for sure !! considering the fact that music overall is such a big part of his life and his arc in wh, i cant see him being picky about what he listens to~

⋆ still, he would definitely have his preferences ! ive always headcanoned Slam as being an alt-rock/indie-rock band and so i think a lot of their style would be heavily influenced by all sorts of rock and metal subgenres (i have many opinions about this if anyone was interested in hearing lmao), so i think his own musical interests would be similar to that ! would enjoy anything from stoner metal to midwest emo to post-hardcore lol

⋆ but again, his overall taste would be pretty expansive, so he definitely has a little of everything (pop, r&b, jazz, etc. etc.) rolling around in his spotify likes :,)

⋆ his favorite bands would probably be stuff like FTIsland, The Smiths (yeah ...), Citizen, The Rose, with a dash of Deftones thrown in there for good measure (mainly their stuff post atf tho) :D

rowan im / im juyang

⋆ similarly to how his personal style + interests would be, juyangs music taste is very eclectic !! not only because i think he would love engaging with a wide varity of genres (and just a variety of things in general; he gets bored easy lol), but partly thanks to the friends he made in aus- through them and his own pursuits, hes found PLENTY of killer songs + artists-

⋆ doesnt have a favorite genre/s either ! what he does love tho is obscure music- its become a hobby of his to spend his nights avoiding studying so he can deep dive on youtube for the most underground stuff :,) rlly good at finding it too !!

⋆ although he isnt picky, i think hed gravitate a lil more towards rock + r&b :,) with dashes of indie + reggae + hiphop thrown in there for fun !

⋆ i can see him enjoying artists like Brandy, 311, Blood Orange, Missy Elliott, Tame Impala, and The Strokes !

stephen ahn / ahn suho

⋆ ive mentioned it before in the bedroom post, but i wholeheartedly believe suho would be a major gg fan </3 probably has lightsticks and signed photocards and all the like from his favorite groups lmaooo- he esp gravitates towards a lot of the more fun and feel-good concepts a lot of ggs do, and has stayed up wayyy into the night learning the choreographies more than once :,)

⋆ outside of that though, i think hed be a big fan of dramatic pop ballads + acoustic, coffee shop type music :))) hes also a frequent enjoyer of having world tours in the shower, so songs of that genre are always his go to- but also, imo, he really appreciates the actual talent that goes into some of his favorite songs, and loves listening to ones with meaning or that he can relate to~

⋆ some of his favorite artists would be soloists like BoA and groups like Wonder Girls, GWSN, 9Muses, and some bgs like Seventeen + TXT (probably has some western pop divas in his likes for good measure tho lmao)! but overall ?? he would be a die-hard Twice fan , case closed :,)

jimmy bae / bae jihoon

⋆ undercover boy group stan for SURE. saw Tvxq’s performance of mirotic on music core when he was little and it absolutely changed the trajectory of his life- hes not embarrassed about liking the music but he IS embarrassed about being a fanboy :,) so his signed Shinee album and misc bg posters are kept wellllll hidden lmao (only jack knows about this, and has gone w him to many a concert as moral support-)

⋆ he likes other stuff tho !! mainly rap + hiphop, western or korean- so think Drake + Kanyes older stuff, Gang Starr, Drunken Tiger, Jinusean, etc~ stuff that gets him pumped up when hes working out, or that he can blast when taking his motorcycle out for a ride into the darkness lmao

⋆ his favorite bgs tho ? i can see him rlly liking groups like Shinee, Block B, Exo, and BTS !! (probably has a few of their earlier albums collecting dust on his bookshelf tbh-)

⋆ this is one where i feel like yall are gonna fight me on it but ... hear me out :D between an cluster of things — union stress, caffeine, heavy smoking + drinking, etc — i headcanon seongje as being rllly prone to headaches + migraines, which noise-heavy music wouldnt exactly help-

⋆ w that being said, i can see him gravitating a lot towards more softer, chill, easy listening type tunes ! i dont think hed be too picky about genres, surprisingly (?), rather the sound itself, so his likes range anywhere from old ballads he grew up hearing, to soft rock, to rap !

⋆ because of that, i dont think hed have many favorite artists either, if any lmao- but i also dont think hed listen to music a lot outside of like,, maybe studying/focus purposes, or more often as background noise when things are just a lil too quiet for him, soooooo :,)

⋆ (that being said if i had to name an artist/group ?? i think he wouldve listened to a lot of epik high in middle school, so he still has a soft spot for their music lol)
