Summary: Y/N is cast to play Mia Reed in ‘The Fallout’ and her feelings for her costar, Jenna Ortega, start to resemble those of her characters. Love. ~ Word Count: 1887 ~ Warnings: tiny bit of angst if u squintttttt

A/N: Hello everyone!! Firstly I want to say thank you for all the support shown on my first few posts, and I also wanted to give you guys an update. I’m currently travelling overseas with very busy days so my time for writing is limited but I am writing I PROMISE. This one took a little longer than expected but I hope you enjoy it <3

It's your first day working on the set of ‘The Fallout’, your newest film in which you play Mia Reed. You are a little nervous despite having an impressive collection of films under your belt. When it comes to new sets, new environments, and more importantly new people, you were always anxious about how you would fit in. Your nerves certainly weren’t helped when you learned that Jenna Ortega had joined the cast. You are a huge admirer of hers. Since you've seen pretty much everything she's been in and respect her as an actress, the idea of sharing the screen with her was undeniably daunting.

You pull up to the ‘base camp’ of the film, where all the trailers are located, in an attempt to find yours and get a head start settling in. As you get out of the car your Y/E/C eyes scan the area in search of your trailer, your eyes instead landing on a girl. She appears to be about a foot shorter than you and has long, dark hair. She is dressed in baggy pants and a black singlet with headphones around her neck. Your breath hitches in your throat as you realise, “Holy shit… it’s her oh my god ok” you breathe as you hesitantly start walking in her direction, attempting to calm yourself down. ‘Relax Y/N it’s fine you got this just don’t be weird’.

The sound of your approaching footsteps catch her attention as she turns her head in your direction. Her brown eyes meet yours causing your breath to catch in your throat once again. To your surprise, a genuine smile crosses her face as she too starts walking towards you. “Hey, I’m Y/N. I’m your costar it’s really nice to finally meet you.” you start, giving her a little wave, thrilled you somehow managed to not stumble over your words. “It’s amazing to finally meet you too! I’m Jenna, and I have to say I’m a really big fan of your work” she smiles at you as you feel your cheeks start to burn. Your brain can’t even fathom the idea of THE Jenna Ortega knowing who you are, let alone being a big fan.

“Really?!?” “Of course I am I’ve seen almost everything your in.” she giggles at the disbelief painted all over your face. “And here I thought I was going to be the one fangirling. I’ve also seen pretty much all your stuff and you are incredible. Im still in disbelief that I get to work with you.” you rant, the words flying out of your mouth faster than you ever thought possible. “You are so adorable” she giggles, your cheeks at this point on fire. “Trust me the honour is all mine” she concludes.

You spent the remainder of the day talking to Jenna whilst walking around set, meeting all the important people who you will be working with over the next few weeks. To your delight, whilst exploring the set, you discover that Jenna’s trailer is right next to yours. If there was one thing you were sure of in this moment it was that you couldn’t wait to get to know her better.

*time skip*

You jump as you are awoken suddenly by a loud banging on your trailer door. “Sh*t what the hell” you mumble, rubbing at your tired eyes as you sit up. Your eyes glance towards the clock hanging on your wall, the hands reading 9:17. That’s odd your supposed to be at hair and makeup by 9. “Oh sh*t. I’m coming!” you launch off your trailer couch realising you must have fallen asleep whilst memorising your lines, meaning you didn’t set an alarm. You quickly attempt to fix your disheveled hair as you swing your door open, met with the disappointed glance of your makeup artist. “Sorry! I’m so sorry give me five minutes I’ll be right there I swear” you apologise rapidly, chucking on a random hoodie and running into the bathroom to check you don’t look too much like a corpse.

*small time skip*

Jenna jumps slightly as the door to the makeup trailer swings open, revealing a very cute and disheveled Y/N wearing… wait is that her hoodie? “Morning sleepyhead. I like your hoodie I’m surprised it fits you” Jenna chuckles as you look down and realise that you are actually wearing one of her hoodies. “Huh. I didn’t even notice.” “It looks cute on you” she flirts, your cheeks gaining their familiar warmth, one you often feel when you are around her. You drop into your makeup chair letting out a sigh as you allow your slightly irritated artist to get you ready for your scenes.

“You ready for today?” Jenna asks, smirking as she makes eye contact with you in the mirror. “As always. Why wouldn’t I be?” “We are filming the kiss scene today remember”. As soon as the words left her mouth you felt your stomach drop. “Oh. Right. Yeah I totally forgot about that haha” you chuckle nervously. Being completely honest with yourself, you had been harbouring a crush on Jenna for quite a while now, and whilst the idea of kissing her should fill you with excitement, you can’t help but be terrified. “You okay?” she asks sincerely, noticing the slight change in your demeanour. “Yeah! yeah no I’m fine I just had a rough sleep last night. I feel asleep on my couch memorising my lines so it wasn’t the most pleasant.” you ramble, trying to cover up your nerves, your attempt appearing to work.

“I think the way Megan has set the scene up is really smart.” she says whilst glancing towards you. Noticing the slight confusion on your face she elaborates, “I mean the way she has us kiss whilst we are both lying down. It gets rid of the whole height difference issue. Not that I have anything against it, I love it.” “Good to know” you reply, attempting to diffuse the tension by jokingly winking at her causing her to laugh and quickly hide her face with her hands. ‘Is she flustered?’ ‘Is there a chance she likes me back?’ you thought. However, just as quick as the thoughts came to your mind, you shut them down, ‘No Y/N stop. Don’t get your hopes up’.

*time skip*

“Action!”. You are lying on the floor of Mia’s bedroom as Jenna, or Vada, rolls towards you. You stare deep into her eyes as she can’t stop giggling. Once she finally settles down, her face is only a few inches away from yours. She starts, “What?… ok I know your a woman of very little words… but I know you got some deep shit happening in this nice little head of yours.” she recites her lines perfectly as you giggle on cue. “God… ugh” you sigh. “Anything? Ok. Lets say this. Lets say you die tomorrow, ok, and what if you die sad because you regret not saying what you wanted to say… then what?”.

Those words, although scripted, make your heart sink, because as true as it is, you can’t tell her. You can’t ruin what you have with Jenna over some stupid crush. They say you should always pick roles you relate to, and you hate to agree that you relate to the fear that Mia is feeling right now, absolutely terrified of losing her best friend. You lie there in silence for a few seconds whilst your mind races. “I can’t say it” you whisper, drawing your eyes off of her. “Why?” she immediately responds. You can feel her eyes burning into the side of your face which both comforts and unsettles you.

When you finally pluck up the courage to face her, she looks almost ethereal in the ambient lighting of the room and you regret ever taking your eyes off of her. You aren’t able to seperate your own feelings from your characters, all you feel is love. You notice Jenna glance at your lips, as she is directed to, and the next thing you know she is leaning in. Your heart is racing faster than it ever has before, so much so you are worried she can hear it. When her lips touch yours, you feel warmth blossom in your chest. She pulls away slightly asking “Is this okay?” to which you nod softly. As she connects her lips to mine once more, her lips part slightly allowing my tongue to slip inside. Before I know it she is climbing on top of me, our bodies pressed together as our lips moved passionately against one another’s. Her hands begin exploring your body as your fingers travel through her hair as you breathed her in. It was utter bliss. Until it wasn’t.

“Cut! That was perfect girls well done. The chemistry was amazing, very believable.” “Thanks” you murmur as you seperate yourself from Jenna and get to your feet, avoiding all eye contact with her. “I think we got it guys you can head back to your trailers”. With that you made your way swiftly out of the room, attempting to avoid Jenna’s concerned stare and get to your trailer as quickly as possible. “Y/N! Y/N wait!” Jenna calls from behind you as you hear her rapidly approaching footsteps. She eventually catches up to you, stopping you when she grabs hold of your hand, swinging you around.

“Hey what’s wrong?” she asks, her hand still holding yours with concern written all over her face. You couldn’t help but think about how pretty she looked which didn’t help with your current predicament. “Nothing. I just… I need to be alone right now” you say, turning on your heels attempting to avoid having the conversation you have been dreading. She grabs ahold of your other hand in order to pull you back, not allowing you to avoid her and suffer in silence. “Hey.” she comforts softly “You can talk to me you know. Just tell me what’s wrong we can figure it out together.” “I can’t say it” you quote Mia as a tear rolls down your cheek, the weight of the conversation finally taking its toll on you as the fear of losing your best friend overcomes you.

You witness the moment it clicks in Jenna’s eyes, her gaze immediately softening as she wipes away your stray tear with her thumb. You see her lips twitch into a smile as her hands land on your cheeks, the two of you having a silent conversation with your eyes. Her eyes flicker down to your lips which doesn’t go unnoticed, but before you can comment on it she is guiding your face down to meet hers as her lips brush against yours tentatively. You were taken over by pure desire as you close the remaining distance, leaning into the kiss as you place your hands around her neck. The familiar feeling of her warm lips against yours makes your heart flutter as you begin to comprehend what is happening, she likes you back. Your lips slowly parted as your foreheads remained against each others. “I love you too Y/N” Jenna intimately whispered, placing a chaste kiss on your lips before pulling back completely. “So you really do love the height difference?” you joke, unable to take your eyes off of her. “Of course I do. I love everything about you”.

Summary: Y/N is an actress on Supernatural. After becoming pregnant, her boyfriend leaves her, not wanting anything to do with the baby. Unsure of what the future holds, her male co-stars show her that she’s not alone.

Author’s Note: I only have two parts of this story written, and unless it gets major traction, I’m not sure I’ll be writing more. I didn’t want to be a tease and leave y’all hanging, but those who’ve responded said they don’t care and would like to read anyway. Let me know if I should keep going!

Filming had only resumed one week ago, and you were already having difficulty hiding your pregnancy. Hiatus had come at the perfect time, right when you were really starting to show, but now that you were in your fifth month, loose sweaters and baggy shirts were no longer able to conceal your constantly expanding stomach. You had told wardrobe and the show’s producers, but the life growing inside of you was still a secret to most of the cast and crew.

It had been a hectic day on set, and you were beyond grateful when Bob called for lunch. You saw some of the guys head into Jensen’s trailer and figured now was as good a time as any to tell them you were expecting. Before you could lose the gumption, you marched up to the door, pausing only briefly before knocking.

“Hey, Y/N/N!” Jensen smiled as he opened the door and stepped aside for you to come in. A loud roar of laughter filled the air.

“I’m not interrupting anything, am I?”

“Not at all!” Jensen picked up his plate and pulled out the chair he had been using. “Have a seat.”

Along with the featured cast, many guest actors were in town to shoot a special episode. Jared and Misha were sitting at the kitchenette table with Rob while Alex and Rich enjoyed their lunch on the sofa.

“I think I’ll stand. Thanks, though, Jay.” The palpable apprehension coursing through you was in stark contrast to the lighthearted atmosphere in Jensen’s trailer, and your mood didn’t go unnoticed.

“Everything okay, Y/N?” Misha asked. Before the break, most of the cast had noticed and even discussed your unusually reserved and distant nature. Misha wondered if your current trepidation had anything to do with your pre-hiatus behavior.

“Yes.” You answered with uncertainty.

You had shared your pregnancy with some of the women in the cast earlier that week, and while their support and advice had been immensely heartening, it was emotionally exhausting going over your story again and again. You thought it’d be easier telling all the guys at once. Now, as your eyes scanned the room, you grew increasingly anxious seeing everyone’s attention on you. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea, after all.

“I have some news to share.” you said hesitantly.

“Good news, I hope?” Rob cautioned, his voice full of anticipation.

“Great news, actually.” You took a deep breath, uncrossed your arms, and opened your sweatshirt. “I’m pregnant.”

You smiled tentatively, not knowing how everyone would take the news. After what felt like ages, Alex stood to place a gentle hand on your shoulder.

“Congratulations, Y/N/N!” He beamed, kissing you on the cheek.

Rob and Rich were close behind, both of them pulling you into a warm hug.

“How far along are you?” Rob smiled as he leaned out of the embrace. He held you at arm’s length, taking in the sight of your bump.

“I’m just over five months along.”

“You look great!” Rich exclaimed.

“You really do.” Rob affirmed, giving your shoulder an encouraging squeeze. “I’m amazed you were able to hide this from us for so long. Now that I know, I can’t believe I didn’t see it before!”

“The ladies in wardrobe were very helpful.” You smiled coyly.

You were relieved that Rob, Rich, and Alex seemed genuinely happy, but you couldn’t shake the deafening silence radiating from the table behind you.

Jared, Jensen, and Misha still hadn’t said anything, so you turned to face them. When your eyes met theirs you could see their shock. They were the big brothers you never had, and you told each other everything. The most painful part of keeping your pregnancy a secret was lying to the three of them, but you had to process your own feelings before telling everyone else. You never imagined you’d find yourself alone and pregnant. In an instant, you went from being a responsible twenty-something who made all of the right decisions to a statistic mothers tell their daughters to scare them into abstinence. It had taken you months to come to terms with your new future. You had no idea how the boys would react.

“Do you know who the father is?” Jared questioned, breaking through the nervous silence.

“Jare.” Jensen chastised, reaching over and smacking Jared upside the head.

“It’s okay.” You flashed them both a soft smile, trying to ease some of the tension. You knew Jared didn’t mean any harm; it was a legitimate question that came from a place of sincere curiosity and not of judgment or ridicule. You hadn’t mentioned to them that you’d been seeing someone for a few months prior to getting pregnant. Your male cast mates tended to be a little too overprotective in the boyfriend department, so you didn’t usually go out of your way to share stories about your dating life.

“I do.” you confirmed.

“Does he know?” Jared followed up.

“Now that deserves a hit.” you joked, raising your eyebrows and nodding your head toward Jared. As if rehearsed, Jensen brought his hand down across the back of Jared’s head, ruffling his hair in the process.

Everyone snickered, but their laughter quickly faded when they noticed your somber expression.

“He said he isn’t ready to be a father,” your hands instinctively moved to your stomach, “and he doesn’t want any part of this.”

“Y/N, I didn’t…”

“It’s okay, Jare.” you assured, cutting his apology short. Your heart fell at the sight of his sheepish face. The looks of pity you received when telling your story never got easier.

Jensen walked over and placed a hand on the small of your back. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to your temple. “Are you okay?” he asked, unsure of what else to say.

“I am.” Jensen looked at you suspiciously. “Really, I am.”

Your response was truthful. Life circumstances had taught to be strong and capable, and while you knew it would be the greatest challenge you ever faced, you felt prepared to handle life as a single mother. You were built for it.

After a moment of contemplation, you let out a deep sigh. “I just feel bad this little one won’t have a father.”

Your voice was almost a whisper, but everyone in the room heard your concern. A shadow of sadness cast over their faces, each of their hearts quietly breaking at the thought of you and your baby on your own.

“Y/N, you don’t have to do this alone.” Misha reached across the table and took your hand in his. “I will always be here for you.” His blue eyes were full of kindness.

“We will always be here for you.” Jared emphasized, standing to pull you into a hug.

Their sentiments were beyond touching, but you knew the inordinate amount of work that went into raising a baby, and it was a responsibility you had come to accept alone. You were never one to burden others with your needs, and all of these men had their own families. The last thing you wanted was to interject into their already busy lives.

Not wanting to fight their well intentions, you simply said “Thank you,” and leaned further into Jared’s comforting embrace.

The second you closed the trailer door behind you, everyone let out an audible sigh.

“That explains a lot.” Alex said.

“I’m really worried about her.” Rob confessed, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Me too,” Jensen agreed, “She has such a hard time asking for help, and she’s definitely going to need it.”

“We have to show her we’re serious about being there for her and being a part of this baby’s life.” Misha asserted.

A broad smile spread across Rich’s face, and he stood up from the sofa.

“I think I have an idea.”

i just learned that the hazbin cast wasn’t replaced for legal reasons and that it was all a decision

i will admit i am slightly disappointed, but then again, it was a pilot episode and people were bound to get recast—i just didn’t expect it to be the whole cast, and while i am a bit sad about that, i’m honestly hopeful. the new cast so far seems great and i’m sure they’ll do an amazing job.

a lot of people are still saying that it was a popularity contest, and you COULD make that argument about any cast replacement besides angel dust’s replacement. blake roman is not a well-known name at all, and the reason why people know his name now is because of hazbin. google lists him as a musician, but as far as i know (i could be wrong! please correct me if so!) all of his stuff that is available to stream are past theater roles with like ten other people per song, and some of his og songs on soundcloud. that is not a well-known name, simply and plainly, so michael kovach clearly wasn’t replaced so that they could have a bigger name play angel dust. i assume it was to have someone with musical experience play angel dust. i love michael kovach and his work so so so much but at this point i can’t deny how good of an angel dust blake roman is, and i’m excited to hear how he’ll do on the full show even if i’ll miss michael. plus, blake roman sounds awfully similar to pilot angel dust, only with a slight difference. it sounds more natural in my opinion, and i really like it.

(i have seen a lot of people say that michael was replaced because of his association with ashley, but i could not find concrete evidence of this so i’m not going to believe that just yet.)

with husk’s replacement, i assume that keith david being such a big name was actually a factor in that, and his voice for husk is pretty different from mick’s—but hey, it’s keith david. i love keith david, and i’m going to give him a chance. i am sad that it sounds so different and i am sad that mick was replaced but i’m going to give keith a chance.

so far i’m most upset with ed bosco being replaced, but in the same way that michael has stated that he doesn’t think he could go on with the show without ed, i don’t think ed would either. i’m not saying he was offered the role and he turned it down, in fact i genuinely do not think that that is the case, but with angel dust being replaced i don’t see it very possible that alastor wouldn’t be as well so i’m going to stop being sad about it. once again, i’m going to give amir talai a chance, and so far he’s doing a good job—even if i don’t personally like it as much as bosco’s alastor.

i’m confused as to why vivziepop stated that she didn’t want any of the cast replaced and then replaced all of them—she implied that she was going to at least try to keep them so i’m disappointed in the false promises. but, the show must go on, and while i am disappointed, i am not upset and i have not lost hope. i will forever miss the original cast but i cannot wait to see how the new cast does.

i also want to talk about the trailer formatting for hazbin. i see a lot of people upset that it was formatted like “omg big name you should watch!!” but trailers are advertisements, and the point of advertisements is to get people to watch, and showing big names in a trailer is a way to get people to watch…? idk, a lot of people seem surprised and disappointed that a trailer did this when that’s kind of the point?

all in all, i don’t think that the cast got replaced solely because the new actors are more famous—i think the biggest factor is that the new cast are all very talented in the music world, and that’s why they’re famous. while i am upset that they replaced everyone, and i’m sure the fame is a factor, i can understand how exciting it would be for a tv series creator (who is definitely a theater kid) to have their entire cast for a musical cartoon be broadway actors. if you’re disappointed, that’s okay. if you’re upset, that’s okay. but i urge you to give the new actors a chance and try to remain positive—don’t we already have enough negativity in our world? especially surrounding hazbin hotel?

The sweet @kiyonogashilc asked me something under a ryoutasu post and since my answer will be long and I wanted also to share my opinion on ships too.. I wanted to dedicated s long post to that. She asked this:

“We'll still have some ichiryou scenes from what we can see in the hidive trailer. I don't know if this means that Ryou is gonna break her heart, if Lettuce won't know or won't care about Ryou's interest in Ichigo (if there is one, that is)”

So, here we are. From my personal pov, Ryou is a character that isn’t really romantically interested in someone, nor Retasu or Ichigo, and I think that he won’t end up with someone specifically, maybe hints or interest or affection, but nothing more. With Retasu I can see affection, care and a genuine interest in her that MAYBE it is romantic, maybe it is not; with Ichigo I see the flirting and the teasing and the mocking her and of course being worried about her… MAYBE it is romantic, maybe it is not.

The fact that I prefer a ship over another is just a matter of personal taste in character and storytelling, in this particular case I do not have anything against ichryou, which is such a cute ship, but I prefer ryoutasu over that cause I like their dynamic better, I find that more interesting: the main concept and what started ichigo and Ryou in the first place, is the main girl blushing at the good looking and mysterious guy, so having him worrying about her and flirting and teasing her … it truly makes her lose her mind EVEN THOUGH SHE IS CANONICALLY IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. It is a cute concept and I can totally see why shippers like that kind of dynamic, such a fun and cute ship, one of the best in the show if you ask me…. But I personally don’t like it so much as a concept, the hot guy and the main girl, but that’s just me.

I like Ryoutasu better just because of the development: she hadn’t really a crush on him because he was a handsome guy standing there, she fell for him the moment he was kind and encouraging and truly cared about her and I find this beautiful. Him on the other side, really worries about her and it is happy everytime she really is genuinely happy … and I find his beautiful too, it is one of the strongest foundations of a good relationship, wanting the other one to be happy and being happy because of that.

I know there will be lots of ichiryou teasing scene because of the main plot, as you said we saw those in the hidive trailer, those scenes are in the manga, are part of the story, are teasing and funny and I like that and I see no reason why that should change, I am actually so excited to see how New will handle those and I cannot wait to see that part cause it is one major part of the plot, Ryou’s backstory, and I am happy that ichiryou fans will have something so good 😎 I don’t know how and if Retasu’s falling for Ryou is gonna be affected by that, cause we don’t know not only how Ryou feels about Retasu and also about Ichigo too.. and, as I already said, imo he really isn’t into someone specifically, at least romantically speaking.

So, in the end, that is why I always say that I don’t care my couple being canon and that I am fine with every ship even if it is in contrast to my fav, that is why I hate ship wars, thinking that your non canon ship is superior to another, trying to find excuses and justification why one ship is plausible and another not.

And yes, answering to your question. I am worried that my girl will be heartbroken, I truly am, cause she deserves all the happiness in the world, but in my personal experience… being in love is not someone’s fault and it is always beautiful even though it can makes you suffer. Also the main concept of the serie (from production and screenwriters interview, ask the amazing @berrychanx about that) is proving girls that they do not have to give up on something to achieve something else, it is also said in the trailer, so I hope that Retasu’s journey will make her realize that she won’t have to give up on her love, not now, not yet… that she deserves love, every kind of love.

I was asked to share my thoughts on the new Godzilla trailer, so here we go! Of course, this all comes down to my personal preference and opinion, and I do want to say that I am looking forward to seeing the movie, no matter how much I might not seem like it, lol.

• I miss when Godzilla had this presence about him. He moved slowly, heavily, with a certain gravity that was as terrifying as it was awesome, in the traditional sense. The running scene in the trailer just really didn’t do it for me. Neither did the pink spines and stuff.

• I like the Hollow Earth in theory, but seeing it in the trailer… I’m a bit more meh on it now. The 2014/2019 movies felt grounded in reality, silly as that may sound considering giant monsters are involved. But it was still an otherwise normal earth, just with Titans roaming around. The whole world inside our world takes the story into a more fantasy-based direction that just isn’t what I’m looking for in these movies.

• THEY PUT MY BOY IN ICE

• Where’s the mystery, where’s the majesty, where’s the beauty in these incredible creatures? KotM especially nailed the vibe that the Titans are these absolute forces of nature, and I watched the first KotM trailer for comparison before writing this and oh my gosh, I wish I could see KotM for the first time again. The trailer was amazing.

• It’s too early to tell, but I’m leery of how the human characters will be handled. The decrease in Monarch’s presence in GvK was a big disappointment for me (and the increase in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is why I am so far loving the show). It’s no secret that I think KotM handled the human to Titan balance really, really well, but I loved it in Kong: Skull Island too, and even 2014 didn’t butcher it that badly. GvK did not inspire confidence in me, however.

• PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THERE ARE SO MANY INTERESTING TITANS ON EARTH WHY ARE YOU GIVING US ANOTHER APE. No but really, RIP to anyone who had a favorite Titan who isn’t Godzilla or Kong.

• It’s a change. There’s a change happening in MonsterVerse in the tone of the Godzilla movies, and that isn’t automatically a bad thing. I’m just set in my ways, and I’m fully aware of that. I’m absolutely positive that there’s a ton of people who are really into what this trailer showed us, and I’m thrilled! I hope this series keeps getting more and more interest and fans because that will give us more movies and shows. Just based on this one trailer, it’s not what I would want in a new Godzilla movie. And that’s okay. I genuinely hope I’ll get more hyped about it as the release date gets closer and we hopefully get another trailer or two. I’m excited to see more of Jia, and I will take literally any scrap of Godzilla I can get because I still love him a whole lot, even when he looks kinda silly.

NPMD ACT 2 AND OVERALL THOUGHTS!!!!

AAAAA that was so good! I really really liked it, I don't really think my opinion changed from Act 1 all that much, but still.

Short, non spoilery review: 8/10 overall! Loved the songs and the serious parts, and all the characters were interesting, but the comedy didn't really hit for me. I had a few issues with the ending, but nothing terrible. Otherwise it was amazing!

Spoilery thoughts ahead!

Let's start story wise. As I said in my Act 1 notes, I didn't really enjoy the more comedic scenes. Not all of the comedy hit for me (some of it did, admittedly), but it felt like a very slow start and wasn't all that entertaining. I did like the fact that the miscommunication between Steph and Pete got sorted out really fast though, that was appreciated. I preferred Act 2's storytelling over Act 1's, absolutely. I really enjoyed the serious scenes.

Character wise, my favourite has to be Max. I knew from the trailer I'd really like him, I'm a sucker for 'vaguely sympathetic villains', especially since it was implied 1) Max could be kind if he wanted to be 2) He was being mentally affected. I just love his character, okay? And Branner did an excellent job of playing him. All the characters were well written, and I'll admit I didn't really like Ruth at first but Act 2 really humanised her (right before killing her, but that's typical of slashers). I also, while I'm not sure I like him, really want to see more of Solomon Lauter. I feel like there's a lot more to be explored with him.

Also, the Lords in Black were amazing. They were AMAZING. I wish they'd come on stage during the scene where Max is vanquished and dragged him off stage, I think that would've been a really potent visual, but I understand why that couldn't have been done. I think I might draw that as fan art! Maybe.

The songs were all pretty good along the board! I don't think my top 2 have changed from Act 1, Nerdy Prudes Must Die and Hatchet Town are still my favourites. But I think Literal Monster Part 2 and As Cool As I Am Reprise are tied for my 3rd favourite. There were some songs I didn't really love, but I think I liked all of them (except for one, but that was more for narrative reasons - more on that later.) I have to say though, I think the Barbeque Monologues has been the only 'show within a show' that has actually worked for me. Even if the song wasn't great, it worked really well to further Ruth's character, and is the reason I ended up liking her in the end. Oh, and it was actually funny.

I only really have 3 things I didn't really 'like', and the last one is just a minor thing that I can probably get answered anyway, so it's closer to 2 things.

Shapiro should've died or at least been seriously injured. I think the fact she lived lessened the impact of that scene, which showed just how powerful Max had become, and he shoved her head through the windshield!! Even if she was to live, she should've at least shown some injury, like a bandage around her head. I just didn't find it believable that she lived.

Grace shouldn't have reprised Nerdy Prudes Must Die / Dirty Dudes Must Die. Now don't get me wrong, I did like the fact that Grace was paralleling Max at the end, showing how she was the new Max, but I just felt like Dirty Dudes Must Die hammered that in too hard, especially since that was the song that established Max as genuinely Dangerous with a capital D. I would've probably preferred Literal Monster or maybe Highschool is Killing Me as the reprise (or hell, even Best Of You!). Honestly part of me thinks there shouldn't have even been a reprise of any song at all. Didn't really lessen the impact of the ending for me, but I just think it would've worked better. (also yay Jason lived, I liked Jason)

How did Ruth die. Max just gave her a wedgie. Did he tear off her back skin and suffocate her with her own skin, or like suffocate her with her underpants or something? But like she died before that so? How did she die

That's really it though. I loved the singing and the acting, it was all super well done! 8/10 overall for me!

Eddie Falling For You

New theme anyone?? Cause I already did it 👀 Also this is super fucking fluffy and I am in love with it. I really woke up this morning and thought “I’m in love with Eddie”.

• When Eddie first met you he had no idea just how important you’d become in his life

• He had butterflies right away (or bats as he likes to call them because more metal ya know?)

• At first, he thought it was just because of the nasty school lunch he’d munched on from Dustin's tray earlier that day

• It wasn’t until others around him started mentioning how much he was off in his own world

• Putting together what he was thinking about wasn’t difficult when taking notice of how his attention always goes to you when you walk into a room

• Of course, he was teased by the whole group of Hellfire and he’d try to brush it off acting like he didn’t like you that much

• Boy when he finally got the courage to talk to you his heart was racing so fast

• His words got all mixed up making you laugh at how cute he was all flustered

• Your smile and laughter made his nerves go down a little as it was the sweetest thing he’d heard

• Sure he was embarrassed but seeing your beautiful smile made him forget about how skittish he was

• Through Eddie’s nervous talking he eventually asked you if you would like to go out together sometime

• (here’s the part where you say yes)

• Totally played it cool when you accepted but when he was by himself he’d be in shock that someone as sweet as you wanted to go out with him

• If you think he was thinking about you a lot before then he’s thinking a hell of a lot more about you now

• The plan was for a movie night at his trailer

• Scenarios of how he wanted the night to go played through his mind on repeat and he even asked for advice from others

• His uncle was the most helpful in calming his nerves

• He’d never seen Eddie so worried about what someone was going to think of him and he reminded him that he’s a good kid and there was nothing to worry about

• When the big night came Eddie was thinking about it all-day

• He even cleaned up the trailer to his best ability

• (Later that week when Hellfire came over they were shocked that he was going out of his way to do all of this and thought you must be a pretty amazing person)

• Once you arrived and started talking with each other it was like you were long-lost friends

• There was no discomfort in each other's presence and the conversation flowed perfectly

• Even when there was silence while you were watching a movie and eating pizza everything felt right

• From that night on Eddie called you every night and you hung out more and more until he officially asked you to be his

• (here’s the part where you say yes again)

• The relationship was nothing like he could have dreamed of

• He loved the way you’d talk about your interests, the little quirks he’d discover about you, and the way you genuinely showed care towards him

• It was obvious that he was falling for you

• Like hard

• Every day he’d look forward to seeing you or hearing your voice

• When you took interest in what he loved too his heart felt so whole

• He hadn’t ever felt someone care about him and his opinions so much

• It made him all nervous again

• A good nervous though, the exciting and scary nervous of a new feeling

• When he fell for you all the way it was when he introduced you to his uncle

• He loved how you and Wayne were getting along

• He had no doubt that you would but seeing the two people he felt were most important to him together just clicked something in him

• When he returned to the trailer after taking you home for the night he talked with Wayne about you

• Wayne could tell that Eddie was smitten with you and you were just the same

• It made him happy to see his nephew find someone that cared for him as he deserved

• When Eddie thought about the talk with his uncle that night he realized what that click in him was

I'm of the assumption that you're a Shiver fan do you wanna explain some HCs or reasons you like her?👂👂 I'm interested (I like her too 😋)

oh boy. do you even know what you've done? I am going to talk about this blue creature SO MUCH!!!!! (no but fr thank you for enabling me to talk about one of my fav characters!!!)

I'm just gonna be rambling with no general direction, so i apologize if this gets a smidge confusing..... Everything else will be under a read more since i don't want this post to make it hard to scroll through my blog if it gets too long.

so.. Splat 3 was my first game in the series. I knew about the other splatoon games obviously, and i was eagerly awaiting splatoon 3 since by the time i got a switch it would have been a waste to buy splat 2. So i went into splatoon 3 with very minimal knowledge of the characters/setting.

But when i saw Shiver in the Deep Cut announcement trailer??? It was love at first sight. Blue is my favorite color and the swag Shiver has is off the charts. Plus the hype around a potentially nonbinary character?? And imma be honest, i'm a sucker for smug characters. Especially the ones who are secretly failures. It's just one of my fav tropes.

So in short: Shiver was a character who had a lot of appeal for me in the beginning. But slowly over time as i came to learn more about her and the rest of Deep Cut, i came to appreciate them even more in new ways. Shiver is smug, sarcastic, and can come off as mean or over the top. But she is also silly, quirky, and has a lot of love in her heart for others. She cares about Frye, Bug Man, and all of Splatsville. She says silly things that don't make sense. She likes puns. She takes the time to listen to Sheldon's rambles. She is so much more than what you see on the surface. And it can be so easy to see her teasing her bandmates and assume she is mean or cold hearted. But she genuinely is such a fun character!!!!

Her grace, her gnc swag, her cringefail aura, everything about her makes her an amazing character.

And now, for some headcanons in no particular order:

I kinda see Shivers gender as "whatever is funniest/best in the moment. Commit to the bit of genders. But if i had to pick one thing to headcanon them as it would be pangender or maybe genderfluid. Uses all pronouns plus some shark themed neos like bite/biteself and fin/finself and anything else like that. Im gonna be mostly sticking to she/her and they/them for this post just cuz i think that's what people will be most used to. But really any gender hc for Shiver is correct in my head. MTF? Correct. Nonbinary? Correct. FTM? Correct. Genderfluid? Correct/ Bigender? Correct. Anything and anything goes an i love seeing everyone's takes on it!

I'm gonna go ahead and say trans woman Shiver has a special place in my heart. I just feel like i never see anyone hc this but i also feel like it works?? Idk... The same can be said for genderfluid Shiver. I myself am genderfluid so i rlly like that hc!

Mayhaps has a touch of the tism. (me too) I just feel like she doesn't read social cues well. Can mask really well but doesn't do it around Frye and Big Man for the most part. I think all of Deep Cut is autistic tbh. With Frye having ADHD as well. (ME TOO)

I'm caught between the headcanons of "secretly rlly strong cuz of archery" and "lowkey weak cuz it would be funny to contrast w Frye being strong". But i lean more on the side of both of them being strong. Just Frye having more obvious muscles. But if you look at Shiver she def if strong. And graceful. Like a predator built for ambush or stalking. She moves with purpose. Ya know what i mean? Like she seems very graceful and delicate at first but that is NOT the case.

I gotta be careful or this will turn into general Deep Cut hcs cuz i wanna talk about Big Man and Frye as well lol

Loses her temper easily. Can be petty when things don't go her way.

Master Mega is very special to them. She spent a lot of time with him when she was younger and her parents were busy.

Shiver whistles a lot as a stim/just for fun.

Big Man and Frye are the best hype men ever for Shiver. There are certain points in the game where she says absolute nonsense but those two are right there to back her up. They also don't understand what he's saying, but they are gonna act as if it's the smartest thing ever. Shiver thinks she is the coolest thing ever and those two only enable her. (dw. every once in a while they knock her down a peg by returning her teasing)

Shiver is the type of person to spend 30 minutes making her food look pretty before she serves it. It has to look good or else.

Is a decent cook. Frye likes to steal bits of food from whatever she is working on so Shiver will playfully smack her with her fan and shoo her out of the kitchen.

Is very proud of her singing. She worked very hard to get it as perfect as it is.

Probably used to have a violent streak in middle school, would bite people. Has since learned to control her anger better.

Very confident. Isn't afraid of things like public speaking.

Gets annoyed easily when overstimulated. Sometimes snaps at people when the environment is too noisy/bright or if she is tired. Tries to apologizes afterwards.

Speaking of apologies, she is the type of person to do something nice for you or get you food/a present for you rather tha admit she is wrong. Is embarrassed easily and instead prefers wordless apologies.

Is flustered easily. One of the ways to easily make her lose her cool is to do anything remotely flirty or to bring up something embarrassing she did in the past.

I could probably ramble more but it's LATE and i should head to bed. Thank you so much for the ask!!!! I had a fun time talking about my favorite blue goofball. <3

“Auntie!” Your niece came flying at you from the pickup line at school.

“Baby!” You dropped down to scoop her up. She became very clingy in the last three months. She was still young but you figured the trauma was starting to hit her that her parents really weren’t coming back and so she clung that much more to you.

“I colored, and learned more letters today!” She began to tell you all about her day at school, and you were thankful she liked it so much. She was such a good girl and you were so thankful for her even temper. Something from her father. Her sassiness came from her mother, your sister. Though she could be a force to reckon with, it was nice to see your sister sometimes. It kept her alive.

“That’s amazing, Morgan, tell me more.” You had her buckled in and went home. Once there you explained to her your new job, how you would be playing “dress up” with people for them to be on tv and she was captivated. She loved doing makeup, something she got from you, at least you took credit for it.

“Good morning baby, it’s time to get up” You said the next morning. It was your little routine you had begun almost a year prior and it was beneficial for both of you to find some consistency, even in a morning routine.

“I don’t want to, Mommy.” She mumbled. It both made you happy and sad to hear her call you mommy. She was three when her parents died and she understood the idea of them but the memory was fading, and so she switched back and forth with calling you auntie and mommy. You didn’t know how much to try to correct her, because really, you were her ‘mommy’ now.

“I know, love, but we gotta go. Promise to tell you all about my first day playing makeup with everyone after school today.” You tried to entice her.

“Okay, but can I stay home?”

“Not today, sorry baby.” You didn’t have any day care, her parents didn’t need it and you didn’t know any good babysitters because her grandma used to help before she passed shortly before her parents so it really was just the two of you.

You got her up and going, had a quick breakfast, and left for your first day.

Once at the set, you got your pass and quick tour, but it was already 8 so the set had been bustling for hours. You wanted to get here earlier like most people, but you had to drop Morgan at school so it wasn’t possible.

“You must be Y/N” A kind, middle aged woman said to you, once you entered the makeup trailer.

“Yes I am, you must be Carol.” You shook hands.

“Yep, and I have been here since day one so trust me when I tell you, the rules they tell you can mostly be thrown out the window. Schedules change, and you find your own groove so honestly, do what you need and we will find our groove.” She told you. You were thankful for her helpful guidance, and she didn’t seem at all threatened by a new member. It was mostly her for a long time your position was a glorious assistant but would mostly be on level footing with her.

“Thanks, I will be thankful for the guidance.”

“Happy to help. By the way, speaking of helpful, you should be aware that pranks are a must around here at this point so once the actors find out more about you, just be prepared.” She laughed like it was a good thing.

“Oh, um I guess I will have to keep my head down then.”

“Nonsense, we are a family here, and you will soon be comfortable around us.” She seemed genuine and you appreciated it. You were just trying to not drown in both your personal and professional life.

You ended up talking to Carol for a long time, getting to know each other. She had a way about her that made you open up like you’d known her forever, and she was almost like a mother, though too young. You quickly understood that she had that effect on everyone. So no surprise, by the end of the day she knew all about Morgan, and the situation surrounding her.

“So I apologize in advance that I may have to leave to get her. I want to try to find someone, like a nanny or something but I can’t afford that and I’m not sure how she would like that or if it would be good for her. I just don’t know.”

“Oh hon, I get it, my kids are in highschool but I remember trying to figure out carpool and all that. I would love to meet your little girl sometime.”

“She really is an angel.” You couldn’t help but smile. You were there when she was born and knew you’d die for her. Not the best choice of words, but it was true.

“Good, then sometime we will have to meet.” With that, you went back to be taught how the trailer was set up. You were thankful your first day was just being allowed to figure out how it all works.

“Goodnight, Y/N, and make sure to check your schedule!” Carol called out to you. You were amazed at the kindness of this woman. And that she was a little pushy, not in a bad way but she knew what she wanted and what was for the best. And you couldn’t help but smile and know that she would be good for you.

GMMTV 2023

Sorry BL fam, it’s been a while. I was involved in creating content for TIKTOK, so I couldn’t make time for Tumblr. However, as you know, GMMTV announced its 2023 lineup last month. I wanted to write a post talking about my thoughts about each series.

1. Cooking Crush

OffGun is one pairing where I trust the actors 100%. I trust their choice in the series they choose to act in. Cooking Crush wouldn’t be a series I usually watch, mainly because I am not that into cooking or culinary stories. However, Gun, Off, Neo and Mark will be in this series, along with Victor, who will play a side character. I am honestly looking forward to this. After Not Me, which was a series very serious, demanding a lot from the actors that were on it, this will be more lighthearted. Honestly, sometimes, all we need is a good rom-com. I hope they don’t make the humorous moments whacky since I don’t laugh at slapstick comedy. I prefer subtle humour or innuendos. Lastly, its great that Off and Gun want to work together even after years of being a pairing. I really admire their bond and the energy they bring to the table. Nothing can replace that for me, no new ship.

2. A Boss and a Babe

A boss and a what? The title honestly made me laugh when I was watching the live. I couldn’t believe it. I really hope they change the title to something less “babe” LMAO.

Let me be honest; I don’t like the Boss and Employee dynamic. Mainly because I have a full-time job in a company where they really follow these structures, and often you hear about harassment from directors and partners to senior associates or associates. When I heard the storyline, I wasn’t happy. This is the same reason I don’t watch any secretary Korean dramas because I can’t romanticise them.

However, Force and Book as actors are amazing. I wish GMMTV would give them a good storyline (cough Only Friends). Book and Force, if you are reading this, please know that I love you both as actors, but this storyline isn’t something I am looking forward to. We also get to see Drake, Mike, Fluke and Ohm as side characters in this series. Really looking forward to seeing them shine as well. Also, GMMTV, when are you going to give Drake a main role? I’m waiting.

3. 23.5

THE FIRST GIRL LOVE FROM GMMTV. Honestly, I have been waiting for this. Ever since Bad Buddy ended, I have had this emptiness in me. LOL seriously. I have been thinking, what kind of storyline would they give MilkLove?! Ongsa (played by Milk) is a loner who falls in love at first sight with Sun (played by Love). Thinking she would get rejected, she creates another identity - Earth and approaches Sun. As things develop between Sun and Earth, will Ongsa get the courage to be honest?

While I would’ve preferred only MilkLove in the series but they also decided to introduce a side couple in the series. I love GeminiFourth but I hope they let MilkLove shine over here.

I also love the trope for this series, its simple and to the point. I hope the director is able to convey the emotions properly as GLs are different from BLs. Lastly, I’m excited to see the industry take an interest in GLs. Excited to see this come through 🙈

4. Last Twilight

Directed by the greatest - P'Aof is coming back with an ORIGINAL series. Last Twilight talks about how Mork (played by Jimmy), a mechanic by tradition, is forced to take a job as a caretaker of Day (played by Sea), who has partial blindness. Not only is the premise of the story beautiful, but even from the mock trailer, we can see spectacular cinematography, which only makes me curious about the end result. I enjoyed Jimmy and Sea's acting in Vice Versa (which is underrated). I am excited to see them come back together with another show. P'Aof is known to make some of the best series in GMMTV, so my expectations for this are genuinely HIGH. Also, I hope I don't come across as creepy, but I want to know what P'Aof is thinking when he is directing a series or planning a new one. He truly comes up with the best pairings and the best shows. I hope Last Twilight gets to be a success and JimmySea gets the recognition they deserve.

5. Dangerous Romance

Perth and Chimon are playing leading roles in this series, so you can be assured that I am EXCITED. Firstly, I have been watching Never Let Me Go, and both of them are a side couple/roles, but they play their parts well. Specially seeing Perth on the screen after so many years has been refreshing. Dangerous romance is a story about Sailom (played by Chimon) who is a poor but studious student who starts tutoring Kanghan (Perth) who is a school bully. The series also has Pawin and Marc playing side characters.

6. Only Friends

Three friends Mew (played by Book), Ray (played by Khaotung) and Boston (played by Neo), run a hostel together. Does that sound good to you so far? Remember this info because it gets messy. Mew has no interest in sex or relationship because he has been focusing on his studies. However, Boston introduces Mew to Top (played by Force) so that Mew can experience a one-night stand. However, Mew and Top get more serious, leaving Boston unhappy. Ray is a rich lad who is also a fuckboi. He meets Saen (played by First), and they probably hook up/see each other a few times. Eventually, Saen wants to start an exclusive relationship with Ray. However, Ray has feelings for Mew and isn't keen on getting exclusive. Nick (played by Mark) finds a sex tape in Boston's phone, and they start a friend-with-benefits relationship things take a terrible turn when he starts falling for Boston, but Boston won't return his feelings. Firstly, one of my favourite directors - P'Jojo Tichakorn Phukhatong, is directing this masterpiece with P'Ninew Pinua Chookamsri (he has been an acting coach for many GMMTV projects). I trust P'Jojo would be an understatement. I worship him. I genuinely believe both directors can make this series into something we will absolutely enjoy. Honestly, this is the series I am looking forward to the most. Most of my queer friends, including me, have experienced similar relationship dynamics. Seeing these actors play a more serious and realistic role will be fantastic. Lastly, I look forward to seeing First and Khaotung again in a leading role. Also curious to see bad boi Neo and Force! :D

7. Cherry Magic (Thai Version)

Tay and New are back. Honestly, I never thought I'd be repeating this sentence ever again. If anyone has been following BL for a long time, they know what went down and how bad things had become at a point, but I had faith that one day...one day, we would get to see TayNew again, and now we get to see them in leading roles. Tay will play Karan (yes, they've changed the Japanese names to be close to Thai ideals), and New will play Achi. We also have Sing and Jan as a side couple, Mark (a different one than the one in only friends), and Junior. We don't know much about the storyline yet (not sure if they are changing it much or keeping it original) since this trailer wasn't released due to some licensing issue. However, I will update my thoughts on this once the trailer is released. Welcome back, TAYNEW! Sending you lots of love, Tay. He is an excellent actor and will ace this role. Tay is a ball of sunshine, and I fully believe in him. I know people have been sceptical because it is a remake but hear me out - remakes do take place, and we can't expect both series to be the same. An office setting in Thailand would be different from one in Japan. Let's just have some faith that we see ACE representation in this series. As someone asexual, I hope the side couple has an ace rep, just like in the Japanese version (although the Japanese version didn't have a side couple).

8. Hidden Agenda

Zo (played by Dunk), a university student, wants to date someone (for the first time in his life), and he settles for Nita (a trendy girl - played by Jamie). He asks Nita's ex, Joke (Joong), for advice. We have seen this or a similar trope many times, and it has always been successful. Look at BrightWin's 2gether. I am sure this series will be a hit. Honestly, it doesn't excite me as much as other series because it doesn't feel original. I am excited to see them all, especially EarthMix and OhmNanon since they don't get a complete BL series this year. I am curious to see how they play out the story of The Eclipse and Bad Buddy because they felt like a complete ending to me.

Lastly, I hope there is no cheating, breakup and such sadness involved because I am not sure if I will be able to handle it. I just want full sugary content - give me diabetes.

Lastly, some of the series are yet to air (as of 4th Jan 2023), so I assume this will air in the latter half of the year. Many directors are coming together to work on this, so I am excited to see what happens :)

Is Rise of the TMNT really that good? I was a fan of the 2012 series and was wary to try it out because from the trailers it seemed like another Teen Titans Go situation. What do you like the most about it?

I'm sorry anon, I'm sure you meant no harm, but reading this made me have a visceral reaction because NO! NONONO! Rottmnt and Teen Titans Go have nothing in common!! Nothing! Nada! Nichts!

Do these look ANYTHING like they might even be remotely similar shows??? ?

And I am so sad and mad that talk like that and thinking like that by "old" fans caused them to not give this show a proper chance and in turn is one of the (many unfair) reasons why the show ended way before its time. And also, I mean, all these "old" fans who watched the movie and are now suddenly like "OMG this is so great, I regret not watching this sooner, where is season 3" are pretty telling, aren't they?

I genuinely find it just sad. The rottmnt crew wanted to do something new. Watching this show you can just tell that these people had FUN with the material, they were adventurous and innovative, using old concepts and putting a new spin on them. They took risks, some of them bigger than others. Splinter was admittedly a big risk but goddamn, it payed off big time! They played the long game (which was forcibly cut short) and they fucking won, but because people took one look and were like "Ew not my Splinter, not my turtles, not watching that" almost no one witnessed them winning by a landslide which is such a shame.

Yes the show is silly. Yes the show is goofy and fun and fast paced. But it's not JUST that! It's also heartfelt, has some of the best action scenes I've ever seen, is genuinely suspenseful at times and it has amazing character developments.

Which brings me to your actual question and again I'm sorry for ranting at you anon but back to your question: what do I like most about it?

Apart from the technical stuff, like the animation, the writing and the color palette they are using (some of those backgrounds are breathtakingly beautiful) I love the family aspect of this.

This show is all about family to me. Those brothers fight and they annoy each other but not for a single second you doubt that they love each other so so much. They are goofy guys but they will commit murder if you hurt one of them. The love just pours out of every pore in this show. There are so many hugs and moments where they encourage each other and it's just *chefskiss* Also love how they treat April and her interactions with them. Never has there been an April (to me!) that felt more like their sister.

Contrary to many, I also really love Splinter in this one. More than in all the other versions actually. This Splinter just feels real to me in a way the others never really did. And also (and again this is just my opinion, there are many ways to interpret his character) I think the team did a really good job portraying his depression. Yes I think Splinter has depression. And I mean wouldn't you? You are a moviestar and suddenly have to fight for your life in an pit and then get turned into a rat who has to live in hiding.

Like I said, there is so much character development with Splinter throughout the show and I wish more people had stuck around to actually see it.

So to actually circle back to your question anon (and sorry again for rambling I'm sure you didn't ask for that) is rottmnt really that good?

So I’m thinking abt watching the new td season. I’m prob gonna split it into chunks bc it’ll be my reactions to all the episodes plus pre & post thoughts of the season, so if you wanna know my thoughts, just go to the 'total drama revival episode rambles' tag

Firstly, let’s start off with some pre-watching thoughts. These are just bullet points based on the trailers and promo pics I’ve seen. (I’ve only seen part of one trailer—I forgot which one—and some of the promo pics.)

I know most of the major details of the season bc of spoilers but I’ll try to pretend like I don’t lmao though there might be some occasions when I reference smth—I’ll put those in brackets ( [ ] ).

Now onto my thoughts!!

PRE-WATCHING THE TD SEASON:

PRIYAAA!!! [ A lot of ppl on here initially brushed her off as the Nice Girl, but I was with her from the frigging start and wanted her to go far in the season! ] As a desi female, I was so so happy to see desi rep AND her name is Priya!! It’s so pretty and ties into cultural heritage, and fgdgdgdgd I’d already hc her as bi fyi (yeah it could be me projecting on her, that’s okay. That’s f i n e. She seems like such a bisexual though)

Axel should be a lesbian. It’s what she deserves

Tbh I never rlly vibed with Ripper. Sure he seemed cool and ppl kept calling him the ‘nowen child’ but he’s pretty meh to me

I didn’t rlly try to guess who the gay couple would be ngl. But I lowkey wanted one half of it to be Chase bc it would’ve been so funny if the one person most ppl labeled as The Token Straight was n o t like imagine how many mouths that would’ve shut 😂

Chase & Zee would’ve been a v cute pair. Plus the shipname Chazee is adorable hhfgdgd if they don’t end up canon, it could be a good noncanon ship 🤷‍♀️

Julia and Nichelle would be so. amazing. together.

I think I’m the minority who believed that the Hockey Duo wouldn’t end up together. Idk they give off a bros/bromance vibe, and that’s it lmaooo

I’m so so interested in Scary Girl and how her character will be like!!

Bowie’s style is odd but funky—10/10, love it!! Def gives me gay vibes

Caleb seems like a Justin. Plus of c o u r s e his name is Caleb smh (no offense to ppl named Caleb)

Chase was only in the trailer for like less than five seconds but if anything happens to him, I’d kill everyone in the room and then myself. Idk man, he seems like Such A Guy, I just know he’ll be one of the ppl on the show I’ll be fixated on. Plus I love the name Chase.

[ I saw a post calling Chase a ‘boyfail’ and cryinggdgd lmao ] [ Chase overall seems to have mixed reactions among fans, so I’m gonna tread lightly around him. I just hope he doesn’t end up like Dave. I adored Dave when I started PI, but then…all that happened and he’s hated so much. Genuinely hope Chase doesn’t end up like that, pls pls pls I’m counting on you buddy. Don’t fuck it up *cue that one meme I know you guys are thinking abt* ]

Chase & Priya seems like such a popular ship. Ngl their dynamic interested me too-

I saw a post comparing Zee to Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and I’m like :0 fr though?? makes me love Zee even more!

So where exactly will this take place? Camp Wawanakwa?

so, new episode thoughts:

first and foremost, my boy lewin is finally here!! i was worried i'd have to wait another week but the pulled through i am going to be so annoying about him

they skipped like A Lot from the manga

like the scene with angel and lightning was a lot shorter, no amaimon with rin and mephisto

the seven mysteries being just one - i don't really mind that much but i liked the bit with yukio and the portrait in the manga

the gehenna gate and vatican meeting stuff was in the trailer so that probably just got moved around

and of course no kraken but i get that they didn't want to start the season off with that

damn i forgot how much of a dumbass rin can be like it genuinely caught me off guard a little no i don't know why

also i'm not really sure about rin's updated design... like some scenes are fine but others are kinda meh

on the other hand, the rest of the gang looks amazing

yknow i never really found mephisto hot before but I Get It Now

glad to see the shitty cgi hasn't changed after what 15 years?

the music and voice acting is great

also i love that they used the completely unchanged scenes from previous seasons as flashbacks (i don't blame them in the slightest i would do the same)

overall it was fine, the pacing was a little weird and a bit rushed, and it's too bad a lot of scenes got cut, (some just moved around i hope) but hey i'm still gonna be tuning in next week

saw wish just now!! i can confirm that youtube absolutely compressed the hell out of the effects in the trailer and it visually looked a million times better irl lol. still not as beautiful and unique as i expected it to look, but i love asha's gorgeous textured braids and i am glad that disney is trying new things with their art and animation. i hope this isn't the first and last movie they do this with, because i feel like it really could look amazing if it had been more polished.

unfortunately i also just... didn't enjoy wish anywhere near as much as i expected to. i didn't really like most of the songs, and while i was annoyed to see people judging asha and calling her a generic quirky girl before the movie even came out, i now have to admit that i don't find her very unique or interesting either :( same goes for rosas itself, it didn't feel like there was anything special about the setting. magnifico was the most fun part of this movie to me and that's not something i'd normally say--usually in disney movies i do love a good villain but i prefer to talk about the heroes and their journeys. but magnifico was a fun departure from the "no villain" trend we're currently on and the "every villain is a twist villain" trend we had before that. he only seemed like a good guy for about 10 minutes and was very obviously ruthlessly evil the rest of the time. i wish the queen had stayed evil too tbh, and i guess if i had listened to the soundtrack before watching the movie i would've known she wouldn't, but oh well. i just think a true villain couple would've been more fun than her turning on him once he went too far.

anyway uh... this was supposed to just be a few sentences and not a full review lol. so i guess i'll just say that it takes very little to make me tear up during a really good animated movie but wish barely made me feel anything and i was expecting a lot more out of it. even after seeing it get mixed reviews, i was still really hoping to love it because i've seen some of my favorite movies get trashed by critics while movies i either hated or thought were very mid were treated like the greatest thing ever. but in this case i find myself agreeing that it wasn't all that special. i also think that it was very obviously trying to utilize the nostalgia of longtime disney fans to get us to love it, with things like asha wearing a cape that made her resemble the fairy godmother, a boy named peter dressed in all green at the end wishing to invent a flying machine, and one of the wishes showing a girl sewing aurora's dress... but i can honestly say that the "once upon a studio" short felt to me like a more genuine, heartfelt, and emotional celebration of disney's history than wish did. wish kind of just made me wish i was watching encanto or elemental again.

if you're reading this and you love wish then don't let me stop you!! this is just what i'm feeling right now after getting out of the theater. i was very excited for this movie and wanted to love it so much more than i did, but in the end i guess it just wasn't for me.
