Saw a clip this morning of Ally behind the scenes of VIP concerned that it may actually be a game changer episode.
But what if that is the final twist? The final episode of this season has been here the whole time. Behind the scenes of every other show this year they all have slyly been asked questions or presented challenges. The Dropout extended cast all show up to the finale not to play Game Changer but to discover they have been playing all year and now we tally up the score.
I feel like it's a crazy month to be a fan of independent youtube* companies
1. Watcher was streaming-ified and then un-streaming-ified
2. The ghost files tour starts this week
3. Shayne and Courtney from smosh announced, not only they are dating, but married on April fools of all days
4. Smosh announced their live show
5. Game Changer is adding lore???
6. Bingo might be the best Game Changer episode yet (hot take, I know)
7. The Dimension 20 tour is going on right now
8. The drama about Dimension 20 tour tickets being sold on ticket Master for THOUSANDS of dollars
9. There's at least one new Dropout show coming out this week, as well as rumors of another
10. Starkid realsed a trailer for a live show with Dropout and Smosh (it's called The Great Debate (Smosh vs Dropout) if you're looking for it) Edit: Tin Can Bros, bit Starkid. I saw Joey and assumed, lol, my bad.
I know I missed some, the sheer volume and variety is actually crazy
Genuinely why doesn’t dropout (college humor) do sketch comedy anymore?? Like as someone who’s watched them for abt 8 years I LOVE their stuff so much now but also I miss their sketches?? They were fun funky fresh and functional- just like whyd they stop full send??
My favourite part of Sam Reich meeting Alex Horne is seeing which of my Taskmaster mutuals are Dropout fans and which of my Dropout mutuals are Taskmaster fans.
The Venn diagram of Taskmaster fans and Dropout fans is very close to just being a circle.
The first season has a couple...strange episodes, but the really find their footing in the second season and it becomes so fucking funny. The ideas this crew comes up with are actually genius, like the episode where they fool their contestants into participating in an escape room involuntarily. Or the many iterations of Sam Says where they push the bar further and further as to what can be considered a command. I don't think there's a better game show out there than Game Changer, worth the subscription to Dropout on its own.
