"We can't get married today."

Lucci's hands stopped from finishing the buttoning of his shirt. He turned around with a frown on his face and stared at Sabo with confusion on his face.

Sabo was only in his button-up and his hair was still not finished as there's still clips and pins on it. He looked nervous and was close to tears, looking like devastated child.

Usually one would give a hug to ease away the devastation but Lucci knows well that if he even wrap a single arm around Sabo, he would be more agitated. So, he just stayed in his spot and gave the blond a loving look.

"Do you want to fill me in on why we can't get married today?" he asked calmly as he leaned back to the vanity table behind him. Sabo continued to fidget.

"The cake, our cake, is fucked." Sabo started, his voice heavy with emotions as his fingers are starting to fidget with one another. "The.. the waiter fucked it up and it's now destroyed and Luffy is probably eating everything off the floor now!"

He ignored Lucci's disgusted look as he continued on.

"And the flowers! Our flowers- the delivery misunderstood our message and they say they can't send it now because of the lack of transportation and the fucking catering is trying to fucking kill me because everything has fucking nuts in it" he all but sobbed as he pulled his hair from the scalp.

"Everyone told me about the story of the 17th bad luck, but I ignored them because I thought it was stupid! now every thing is falling apart and it was all because of me!"

Sabo didn't flinched when he looked up and saw Lucci in front of him with a stern look. his bottom lips wobbled and his hand twitched before bringing it up and pulled his soon-to-be husband into his arms.

Lucci brought Sabo closer to him and tried his best to stroke the latter's blond hair, trying to calm him down a little. "Well, if today's shit, then we can just change the date. I don't mind"

The blond groaned from where he's burying his face into Lucci's shoulder and tightened his hold on the shirt the raven is wearing. "But you spent so much on this wedding alone. I can't do that to you"

He felt a feint kiss on his wavy blond hair and lets out a small sigh.

"You can take all of my money and I'd still marry you," Lucci assured lowly to him, making his heart flutter. "I don't care for anything in this life but your smile. I would do anything just to make you happy and if not getting married until you're old and grey is the only way you can be happy, then so be it. As long as I'm by your side, loving you"

Sabo finally brought his head up and look into Lucci's dark eyes and he could literally feel butterflies fluttering in his stomach when he sees love in Lucci's eyes.

And it was all for him too.

Getting onto his tiptoe, Sabo gave a hard yet loving kiss onto Lucci's lips and pulling away with a sigh. "What did I do to deserve you?"

"Maybe you killed someone before, we don't know"

Sabo snort, incredulous. "God, you're so stupid."

Another kiss onto Sabo's blond locks. "And yet, you still would want to be with me"

it’s not the first time a quinzel has been in the front seat of the batmobile drunk and angry,  though it’s been over a decade since it last happened. jackie lets out a frustrated sound that’s somewhere between an ugh and a scream,  slamming her head back against the headrest. it’s teenager for you’re ruining my life. “ ow -- ”  and she’s glaring at @godblooded​ like it’s somehow his fault. it doesn’t even hurt.  she’s a drink too deep for it to hurt. “ y’know you don’t have to come runnin’ every time my mom calls,  y'know. it’s kind of pathetic.  don’t you have better things to be doing than chasing a teenager down?  you’re fucking batman. it’s pathetic. batman . . . ”

she twists as much as she can in the seat,  trying to turn her entire body towards the window.  the seatbelt locks at the sudden movement and she ends up more trapped than before,  but she keeps her body contorted,  watching the city fly by outside the window.  as they take a turn that she knows leads to her house,  jackie’s head snaps back towards the bat so quickly that the world starts to spin. “ harley’s . .  ‘s’working. if you bring me home,  she’s gonna have to . . . ”  and the thoughts slip away,  her head far too fuzzy. “ come home . . . you could drop me off at the waynes . . . was supposed to meet trish,  and she’s gonna worry,  and her dad’ll be home,  and mom won’t have to come home. do you have my phone? ”

i was thinking about that post comparing Jessica Rabbit as an asexual to Barbie and an asexual and then i thought of the Neil Gaiman post (was it a post?) about Crowley and Aziraphale being asexual sexless and then this happened.
