Portrait of a magician working in Da'at: The Exempt Adept Advances. This was another watercolor I did to accompany the article I recently wrote on Thelema. I was inspired by a lot of the charming witchy art out there showing off witches and their craft. There is simply not enough art portraying women and their occult work, so I made this from the heart.

Daath correspond au franchissement du deuxième voile, celui de l'individualité. Le principe fécondant mâle de Chokmah s'unit au principe féminin de Binah, pour donner naissance à l'être manifesté. Daath est le point où chacun des dix séphiroth, dans l'arbre de vie, est incorporé dans l’unité. Daath est parfois, de façon controversée, décrit comme le onzième séphira. Dans ce dernier, tous les autres existent dans leur état de perfection dans un partage infini. Les trois sphères de la colonne de gauche ont pour but de recevoir et cacher la lumière. Dans la présente finalité, l’action est inversée et la part divine est clairement désignée. Avec cette onzième sphère active, toutes les autres rayonnent la lumière divine en une seule et unique dans une telle fusion qu’il devient impossible de distinguer une sphère des autres. Dans la doctrine Kabbalistique, la lumière divine brille toujours, mais tous les humains ne peuvent la voir.

Les humains devenant ‘individus-donnants’ obtiennent la capacité de distinguer cette clarté afin de recevoir les avantages de Daath. En échange, les humains restés égoïstes ne peuvent ni la voir ni bénéficier des avantages qui leur restent ‘cachés’. Il est donc remarquable de voir cette ‘lumière divine’ présente dans le cimetière, le royaume des âmes! Cependant, dans la Kabbale, on considère que la mission de l'homme est d’aboutir à cet état durant sa vie. En échange, c’est dans la mort que Daath est naturellement omniprésent. Ces détails balaient définitivement le dernier doute sur le fait que Saunière ait utilisé en toute conscience le dessin de l'arbre de vie. Ce ‘voile de l'abîme’ est précisément dépeint au milieu du cimetière. Par rapport au corps humain, cette séphira est associé au lobe frontal qui permet d’aller chercher des informations, d’analyser puis de faire des choix et de décider. Dieu a donné à l’homme le libre arbitre à l’homme pour que celui-ci puisse devenir créateur comme Lui, devenir le créateur de sa propre vie. Son pouvoir de création est dans la pensée. L’homme devient ce à quoi il pense. La pensée est créatrice. L’émotion est formatrice.
