I picked that name back when I first got into Undertale and the story behind it is that someone misspelled my name like that... It's not a hard name at all, I'm not sure why it happened lol

Fun fact: All my S/I's names start with E, because that's my actual initial and it feels right to have that and my F/Os' initials together!

Nope! All my self inserts are pansexual, genderfluid and ambiamorous, just like me!

In fact, I also headcanon all my F/Os with the same gender and sexuality as me, because I always feel a bit underrepresented by their sources

Yes yes yes, we all love how much Camilo loves his mom and he's a total Momma's Boy. But, like, this kid would throw hands for their entire family. Obviously all of them would but Camilo??

Putting aside the trickster cousin thing for a sec, he was the only grandson for 10 YEARS! Like, no one got to insult Mirabel as a kid because they were already there ready to pounce. Someone calls Luisa something? Gremlin Cousin Mode ACTIVATED.

Someone starts squeaking and making fun of Dolores? Camilo follows that idiot around all day mimicking their mannerisms to a T and getting them into trouble!

Like, yes Camilo is the cousin making kissy faces and getting his cousins into trouble but he was also the cousin getting in all the fights so no one else got in trouble for it? And I just absolutely love that.

Yes, Luisa is family protector cuz Strong. But Camilo is family protector cuz Feral and that's just some top shelf stuff you guys might not be ready for.

A comparison of Ermengale (right) and her older sister Gweneviere. I honestly love the headcanon from this post that because of their humanoid (therefore faerie-like) features Usuls are considered the conventional standard of beauty in Neopia. So Usuls are generally like barbie-dolls and the further from that you get the uglier you are.  

Gwen is considered to be very attractive (like a usuki) while Ermie isn’t ugly per-say but she’s just not at the level of prettiness one would expect from an Usul.

I think all of Agustín's kids inherited his clumsiness but Mirabel is the only one you can tell.

Luisa is indestructible but prior to age five? Constantly broken.

Isabela's solution is to just not walk. Uses vines as her main means of transport. Constantly aware of where her feet and hands are.

Julieta had clumsy babies and I just think it's cute.

I like to think all the cousins do the thing Mirabel did of "That's why you're my favorite _". And sometimes they just stop at favorite, only for another cousin/family member to gasp in indignation. But also they sometimes make it incredibly specific, like, "Wow, and that's why you're my absolute favorite cousin with curly hair and no bow who can shapeshift."

Some of my "Grown Up" Encanto Headcanons

I told you guys I would get you more headcanons so here we go, all the grown-ups!

General

There is very little definition in Cool Kids versus Warm Kids, just Weather Mom vs Cooking Mom. All these adults will comfort any child in the way they can.

They don't have Favorites, just ones that they end up comforting/relating to the easiest.

All the 50 yr olds are super close. Like, they would hang out on the weekends just because close.

Abuela

She thinks of all these adults as her kids. Her sons-in-law were just later additions.

Has never gotten over the Single Mom of Three mentality of "if I hear a thump it's fine, if I hear a thump and crash it's less fine, if I hear a thump and screaming it's Not Fine, if I hear a thump and silence something is Very Wrong".

Absolutely peeks into people's rooms sometimes to be sure they're okay. Especially Bruno now that he's back.

Was an absolute worrywort whenever someone got sick pre-Julieta. Like, very comforting and doting.

IS the entire criminal justice system of the Encanto.

Follows the old school "don't get caught" way of getting back at someone that has wronged someone else. Says "be the bigger person" and hands Camilo a bat at the same time.

Julieta

Cooks everything with Loooveeeeee~.

The parent that rolls with everything. Oh? Camilo is "Juan" today? Well tell "Juan" he better come have dinner. Oh? Dolores is nowhere to be found? Well let's hope these COOKIES DON'T SUDDENLY GO MISSING FROM THE COUNTER.

Was the tiebreaker triplet. Not meaning she was the peacekeeper, because they all took turns with that, but she would cast the deciding vote.

Has a very corny sense of humor. Like, Pepa and Bruno learned how to roll their eyes specifically because Julieta isn't funny but she's so earnest you have to laugh.

Graceful to a fault. Could balance twelve plates on her person and walk a tightrope just fine. She just married clumsy.

Her confidence is purely from age. She was not confident as a kid.

Pepa

Was very sad to not get to share the nursery anymore. What do you mean she spends her entire life with those two and now they live in different rooms? No.

Random pile of blankets spotted around the house? A Pepa nest, do not disturb for she may be in it.

The fastest to anger triplet. Anytime she saw someone in town even remotely being mean to another Madrigal she nipped it in the bud with a glance. Not even because of the weather, just because she's spicy.

The worst at offering comforting words so the best to go to if you just want to be held and rocked, you're never too old in Pepa's eyes.

Has anxiety but is actually really rational. But when your every emotion is on display it doesn't matter how rational you are, people call you emotional.

Feels bad every time a regular storm passes through the Encanto because she can't really stop it.

Bruno

The funny triplet. His jokes are hit or miss but his method of comfort is 'lightening the mood'.

Was terrified he'd break and drop Isabela but by the time Camilo rolls around he was an absolute pro. Very sad he never got to hold Antonio.

Would do plays and performances for the sobrinos. And let them participate if they wanted to. (Was the best story reader for a similar reason.)

Has a backup ruana because the sobrinos would steal it with the hood up and say "No, I'm Bruno," then give each other futures. (Like, 'you'll have a papaya with breakfast' or 'you're going to give me all your cookies'.)

Mirabel is his favorite, but he loves all of them. Has a special connection to the Big Kids because he helped raise them, but wants to connect to the Little Kids since he feels like he missed a lot.

Don't want to talk about why you're sad? Go sit with Bruno and hear childhood triplet stories or him read a book in a silly voice.

Agustín

People thought he was getting hurt on purpose to hang out with Julieta every day for months before he figured out he liked her. He's just clumsy.

Julieta thinks his glasses are cute and he always wonders if maybe that's why he still needs them. (Not in a resentful way, just a cutesy way.)

Cooks for Julieta whenever he can. Is actually a really good cook and less accident-prone in Casita's kitchen.

Camilo tried to eat his glasses multiple times as a baby. Agustín doesn't bring it up but still has a soft spot for him because of it.

Taught all the kids piano but Luisa took to it the best. He misses having her sit on his lap and pretend to play.

Asks Isabela for a new shirt flower every day, because it started mostly cute and at this point if he didn't ask she would think he's dying.

Félix

Kid: Saw this redheaded girl sobbing in a field, asked why she was sitting in the rain and didn't understand why she looked so mad at him. Teen: Oh! That's why she was so mad. Adult: If I don't marry this woman my life has been for nothing.

Absolutely charmed Abuela and Julieta while he was starting to date Pepa because he knew he couldn't without their permission. Also tried to be nice to Bruno but was pretty sure Bruno hated him (spoiler: Bruno did not.)

Chastises the kids the most because they know Pepa has a bleeding heart and unless it's Really Serious they can get away with it.

Used to dance with all the nietas, letting them step on his feet and never letting them know it hurt.

He and Agustín made a good team because together they had music and dance. They're also bros.

ABSOLUTELY tells every story like it was amazing and Pepa is pointing out what went wrong but Félix is just beaming like "okay so?"

Next up will probably be the Warm Siblings, then finally the Cool Sisters! 🤔I haven't really decided yet!

I'm gonna be real guys.

I don't think Camilo is actually describing his Tío during "We Don't Talk About Bruno".

I think he's describing a caricature he made up of the monster that ruined his Mami's wedding day. Because his parents are head-over-heels, he's heard the story. He's also a Momma's Boy. I think he is literally making this up as he goes because he is a theatre kid and he thinks his Tío ruined his Mami's wedding.

Camilo was FIVE.

Okay but Abuela Alma isn't Homophobic??

And if she was it would be the "Oh mija, everyone thinks other girls are pretty but one day you'll meet a nice man and he'll be so pretty you forget anyone else exists." and her kids just go "Oh, Mamá is bi?" And just roll with that?

Like, you saw young 20something Alma and thought homophobe?? Your honor, she used to think girls were so pretty and wanted to be "friends" with every single one and braid their hair and give them besitos but then she locked eyes with Pedro and that was it. Fireworks. A Zing. Whatever you want to call it. He was her soulmate.

(Not to mention when she was born, but that's neither here nor that.)

So her grandkid being an enby? Totally fine. Just please tell her. Oh, it's a she/her day, okay mija you look lovely, cosa linda. Oh? He/him? Ay tan guapo como tu abuelo. They/them? Uh, please she is old and trying and will say "Camilo" 70 times in the same conversation just to avoid misgendering her grandkid.

Her granddaughters loving women? Okay, great. Does she want more Madrigals? Yes. Does she love her granddaughters-in-law? ABSOLUTELY! And hey, there are 6 kids, SOMEONE will end up with kids, hopefully, please, her fingers are crossed but it's their decisions.

This is more a joke than an actual headcanon because I just think it would be funny. Because there are 12 Madrigals, right?

3 of which are triplets. And it got confirmed on twitter that Felix is a little older than the triplets and Agustin is a little younger.

So just humor me for a moment and imagine that all the Madrigal birthdays are condensed into 4 months of the year. Leaving 8 months of the year birthday free. Cuz I think it would be funny.

So here's how it could shake out:

Month 1: Isabela - Felix - Abuela

Month 2: Triplets

Month 3: Agustin - Dolores - Luisa

Month 4: Camilo - Mirabel - Antonio

Luisa and Abuela are the most mutable, because nothing has ever been said about it. I have my reasons for this shake down but here it is. It's just a funny idea to me.

Some of my Encanto headcanons

I'm gonna break this down by character because I have feelings.

Starting with General Family Things

Casita is herself a gift and isn't in charge of the miracle. She is a by-product and a family member and we love her.

As a result of the above, that's why Casita can't interfere in the rooms, because the rooms are the result of the miracle and are adjacent to her, not a part of her.

Every time a new family member got a door, the other rooms shifted to make room and this lead to children walking into the wrong rooms for a little bit after birthdays.

The candle is kinda like a light house! Everyone can always see it no matter the weather.

Camilo was a screaming baby but his Tío Agustín? FAVORITE. Would take this man's glasses. Agustín was beside himself with how cute this kid was.

The warms and cools thing was accidental. Like, no one enforced a dress code and one day Camilo points it out with that same voice he said "what's that? not a house" just "why do we wear yellow? Why's Luisa wearing purple? Nobody knows we just do it."

There are like, four bathrooms in Casita and depending on the number of people the number of bathrooms change. During a party? An entire wall of bathrooms.

This is a fun fact not a headcanon but there are never more than three kids in the nursery at a time! So Isabela-Dolores-Luisa then Luisa-Camilo-Mirabel then Mirabel-Antonio. So, I just think it would be neat if even with the great grandkids (and future generations) there are never more than 3 of them!

(OH! And, I don't think anyone has been in or out of the Encanto since it was made. I don't think Abuela could emotionally handle that.)
