Sleeping Beauties of Leonor Fini (1907-1996). The painter explained in an interview the reason why she portraited many of her male character asleep: "The man in my painting sleeps because he refuses the animus role of the social and constructed and has rejected the responsibility of working in society toward those ends."

Accidental visit to the semi-fancy store (it's former Sephora, okay):
Feminité du Bois by Serge Lutens - returning to this one and in this warmer weather I finally felt some fruits - I can very well imagine the famous plum here. The spices here are not too bright for my nose still - maybe they'll show themselves more on the skin, but I still wouldn't say it's awfully interesting...
Fleurs d'Oranger by Serge Lutens - well, this sure is orange flowers but they are leaning much more into sweetness - I'd bet somewhat noticeable cumin - than into citruses (despite having them in the pyramid). I'd also say other white flowers are not silent, but they are much more in the background.
Un Jardin Sur La Lagune by Hermès - I actually walked out wearing this and it was very pleasant - aquatic fresh magnolia, gave a bit of fancy soap on my skin but it doesn't make it worse. Definitely had some sillage (mother first noticed the soapiness coming form me) and very decent longevity. Definitely enjoyed wearing this. (By the way, reminded me of "Moon light" by Cosmogony.)
Le Jardin de Monsieur Li by Hermès - I remember one perfume in this line by Hermes that was described as citrus juice being sprayed in your face and while this is not that one perfume, I got a bit of that impression here as well. (I don't know what kumquat smells like - I've only ever seen dried ones.) After a while gets pretty jasmine-ish - not soap, no indole, simple and pleasant.
Osmanthus - this has no link because this is not a perfume - I just smelled dried osmanthus at the tea store and guess what - it actually smells like very nice sweet ripe apricots, which shows that I don't like the perfume interpretation of osmanthus, not the smell of the plant itself.

Fancy store, here we go!
Fleurs d'Oranger by Serge Lutens - opens with very sweet orange blossom which still feels very realistic. Then, it remains mainly fleur d'orange but somewhere in the middle of it development you start feeling citruses in the background - you breath in and feel them at the very end of the inhale. At the base gives me more tuberose than anything. Very nice fragrance!
La Religieuse by Serge Lutens - this one is very curious, because at the tops it's literally just jasmine - pure, no soap or indolic tones (or almost none of these), but then it seemingly seamlessly starts becoming incense and at the end it's almost pure incense/amber which I guess would justify calling it "The Nun". Worn that one - it remained on me for a long time and gave very decent diffusion/sillage. Loved it.
Feminité du Bois by Serge Lutens - this one is a little unclear for me, since - yeah it opens up spicy and warm and al little sweet it fades into pretty much nothing - maybe a little sandal. Might have sprayed too little, not sure.
La Couche du Diable by Serge Lutens - labdanum! And a lot of wood, but mostly labdanum at least from how I remember it from "Marquis de Sade" but maybe a little less leathery than there. Not too bitter for my tastes, despite what people on Fragrantica say.
Angel Nova Eau de Toilette by Mugler - decided to tiptoe to Mugler and it met me with a fruit jam! The funny thing is that I have no clue what litchis smells like in real life (I was in close proximity with fresh litchis like once) but I've already learned what a perfume interpretation of litchi, because I've guessed it here immediately. It's pleasant and fun, if very simple.
Ganymede by Marc-Antoine Barrois - alright, this one is odd, because it was actually not at the fancy store but at a suspicious decant shop which I accidentally stumbled upon and I didn't even choose it - the shopping assistant gave me a blotter without me asking for it. The other thing is that I'm not even sure this is real "Ganymede" and not a fake since it wasn't in it's own bottle. Well, either way - it's tricky, because I've heard it's supposed to be literally screaming at you and yet I almost didn't feel it from the blotter. However. When I brought it home it filled out the whole room and overpowered everything else and I didn't really like it. There are some metallic slash ozone notes there for sure but at some point it just gave me men's deodorant. Might try it again at some point just to figure out if this was a fake.
