I'm extremely confused as to what Kira's goal even is at this point. He's just having Takada spew out nonsensical commands that go against his entire MO. He's acting as if he's ruling the world when there are still so many people standing against him. He thinks he has the right to make things like lawyers cutting deals and corporations not holding themselves accountable for their own actions illegal when it's obvious he doesn't have that power yet.

Kira, if by some miracle you follow my blog or go through your own tags, please stop whatever phase you're going through right now. It's annoying. I just want to do my job.

Overprotective Father

Of all the things that Danny imagined when he decided to release Dan from his prison, he never thought that he would become his father. And while it was a little weird, he could see the point in it. Dan wasn't his future self, he was a combination between him and Vlad (something he really hated to think about), meaning, technically his son.

Dan also seemed uncomfortable with the new arrangement but he seemed much happier, and since being given access to the castle garden he was actually quite calm. Probably because of his unlimited access to ghost fruits. Who knew that all it took to stop his attempts of world conquest was a couple of ghost strawberries?

The father/son thing continued to be awkward, but they actually grew to like it (as much as Dan denied it). And that was okay, until Dan started... dating people.

And that was fine, really, Dan could date whoever he wanted (although he was too young in the halfa's opinion) but his choices weren't ideal: King Shark, Metron, Constantine, Darkseid, Bane, Morpheus, Brainiac, Deadshot, and more were added to the list. Even as the Ghost King Danny had a headache just thinking about it.

Danny didn't know what the hell Dan was seeing in them, but he decided it was time to interfere. Unfortunately for the Justice League, Danny decided to act like a father just as Dan started dating one of their members. So now an overprotective Ghost King was giving the entire meeting a shovel talk. Ellie was laughing in the background as Dan covered his face, his father was fucking embarrassing.

I'm not going to say anything for or against Kira in this post, but can I just say that the people behind all of those Kira fansites are so fucking talented? I was looking through some of them today during work and the graphics are marvelously done. Even the originals still hold up. They're so intricate and unique that you can tell how much care they put into each pixel.

Wow, I never thought I'd be praising the art from fansites for a mass murderer... But still, I appreciate the creative visions.

do you ever think about the parallels between Dora and Harry, and Cuno and Cunoesse. The way both pairs of people are in this horrid codependent relationship that they keep spiralling back towards no matter what happens. Until things have gone on long enough that it's so abundantly obvious that there is no way out of this reality but into a single grave together. And then Dora and Cuno are presented with an opportunity to leave this hell. To move on and live in a brighter world. To leave your other half behind, yes, to leave them in hell, yes, but you alone, because of the background you come from (Dora coming from a middle-class family, Cuno not having that inherent distrust for the police that Cunoesse does), you alone can rise out of this and leave it all behind. You can become a better version of yourself. The fact that Main-verse Ooo is as good and as kind as it is (relative to the other universes shown so far, at least, it's obviously not perfect) all because of the same character that starts off as the OG series' antagonist, the person we were made to see as the bad guy (albeit an often ineffectual one) for several seasons, is making me lose my mind.

Imagine finding out the guy you spent your childhood beating up and saving princesses from is in fact a driving catalyst behind you being able to exist, and not only exist but also live in a world that knows what kindness is. All because that man, the same man who you've witnessed do terrible things, once met a little girl and taught her how to be good.

Simon's story really shows us that even if you lose your way and forget how it is to be good yourself, the world keeps the memory for you. That act of love Simon showed Marcy by protecting her and seeing her as more than the monster she thought herself to be created ripples upon ripples, small at first but eventually enough to help give their wreckage of a world—a world that easily could have been forsaken, its goodness overlooked because of its inhospitable remains—a chance to grow into something beautiful. Because of those very same ripples Simon created, the people of Ooo grew up in a world where they know enough about kindness that they were able and willing to spare the 'bad guy' some, to see beyond the wreckage and allow him to grow too.

In saving Marceline, Simon helped to not only to save the world, but also himself.
