The first member of the Power Pills. He's shy, awkward, and is somehow the unofficial leader of the Power Pills. Mostly everyone looks to him to make the final call on stuff because he's been around the longest.
GUY FOUST
Caleb's roommate and best friend. Went with Caleb during his first superhero mission and got physically shot while there.
KATE DHANANI
A friend of Guy's who eventually became a friend of Caleb's. She's the martial arts trainer for the Power Pills.
AVERY RODRIGUEZ
The first supervillain created by Future Tech. He's 16 years old and was given to Future Tech as an experiment by his parents in exchange for promotions.
TRAVIS BIRMAN
Guy's childhood friend and Merri's boyfriend. He's just the only friend character who doesn't know that his friend is a superhero.
TEAM WAX GUISE
DAN WIRSCH | WAX GUISE
The second member of the Power Pills. He's the literal embodiment of a theater kid. Despite his energetic and carefree attitude, he's one of the smartest members of the team.
JASON KENDI
Jason is Dan's roommate and the go-to costume designer for the Power Pills. He's a MASSIVE nerd and loves doing closet cosplay. He seems to have some kind of connection to Lightbringer.
LUCY CIPHER
The manager (and drum player) of Dan's band. She matches him in energy and personality.
NICO HYLAND
Lucy's fiancee and the keyboardist for Dan's band. He's the type to sit back and listen to Lucy's energetic ramblings for hours.
MAX ARMIJO
Dan's second roommate and lead guitarist for Dan's band. He's a more successful actor than Dan and does his best to help Dan get roles.
TEAM BULLETPROOF
MERRI BODKIN | BULLETPROOF
The third member of the Power Pills. She's a sweet-hearted individual with boundless optimism. She's the heart of the group. However a lot of her personality DOES come from the fact that she's a Catholic and her suppressed frustration tends to come out when she's fighting as Bulletproof in the form of a SUPER brutal fighting style.
AMBER LUPE
One of Merri's best friends. She is just as kind and sweet as Merri, but much less energetic.
PERCY VAN STONE
Merri's foil. She is energetic, she is bold, she loves everything Merri hates.
TEAM QUICKWIT
KRISTY EDA | QUICKWIT
The fourth member of the Power Pills and the resident "basically normal guy but with a bow" of the team. She's an independent artist trying to make it in the art world.
GEMMA VOSS
The sculptor to Kristy's painter. She has almost no shame and has no problems both speaking and acting her mind.
JAKE WESTLAKE
Probably also an artist of some kind but we haven't seen them do any sort of art so I'm not sure. They're relentlessly supportive of their friends.
TEAM STREAMLINE
Hahaaaa oh god sorry, Tate.
TATE PALMER | STREAMLINE
Tate is the fifth member of the Power Pills as well as the most energetic. She's a massive cosplayer and makes her living selling her work online.
TEAM THE WEB

SIBYL DEMIR | THE WEB
Sibyl is the sixth and newest member of the Power Pills. He's the resident scientist, studying biology. He's been through a lot, but once he settles into a network of supporting friends, he reveals that he is a a snarky, strong-willed man.
SEBASTIAN CROWL
A superpowered cult member who saved Sibyl and Caleb's lives when they were captured. He sacrificed himself to help the two of them escape. His status is unknown though he reassured Sibyl that the cult wouldn't kill him.
BENNY O'KEEFE
Benny is Sibyl's biology teacher and is the person who helped Sibyl through the darkest moment of his life.
VINNY RAMONE
Not seen onscreen, but he's Sibyl's ex.
JENNA BEGER
Sibyl's childhood friend who tried to trade away his life in order to join The Cult of Lacrima. Her status is also unknown.
TEAM ███████
MATT NOTTON
The recipient of the Pink Pill who needs to be put on a GODDAMN LEASH. The only pill candidate who decided to use their powers for selfish reasons.
DAMIEN BRIDGES
A man that Matt kidnapped in an attempt to learn how to control his powers. He's... god he's still there.
DALTON RENTFRO
Matt's teammate and a MASSIVE Matt hater.
OTHERS

The person who gives out the pills to the candidates. He's stoic but generally friendly.

Only called "Scarecrow Lady" in comic so far, this is the woman who broke into Merri's dressing room in book 3 trying to kidnap her. Caleb erased her memory of their identities but she hinted that she had something "Way better" than her memories.
LONDON KURTZ
A mean girl who peeked in high school. She is obsessed with status.
PHYLLIS WORRALL
One of London's obligatory lackeys. The other of which, Lilith, apparently left London very recently for unknown reasons and has not been seen onscreen.
KRAVEN GREEVES
The owner of the martial arts dojo that the Power Pills train at. He knows what's going on with the superheroes, but he knows it's not his place to say anything.

Beautiful Low mashup — VoicePlay music video

One of my favorite aspects of a good mashup is when the lyrics of the component songs are placed in conversation with one another. For this arrangement, the guys combined two different perspectives on struggles with self-esteem and the ways external factors can affect the way we see ourselves.
Whether the greatest influence is something intimate like the disolution of a personal relationship leading to depression, or something more pervasive like the judgment of society at large for physical diversity that doesn't match arbitrary beauty standards, it can be difficult to feel self-love in the moments when it doesn't feel like anyone else loves you either. But even at our lowest, there are people willing to help lift us up. Sometimes in the form of a song.

Trivia:
This recording was part of the audition process for VoicePlay's new member to replace Tony. Since J had already been performing in that capacity at live shows with the guys for a couple months, he was tapped to go first. Consensus among many of the YouTube commenters was that he was a great fit.
The lyrics were particularly resonant for Earl, which made him a little nervous on the eve of filming day.
J recorded his vocals with Layne at Rayne's Room. He was surprised at not having to memorize his part first, and how freeform the process was, allowing him to noodle around with different dynamics, rhythms, and riffs. I'd say he adjusted to VP's methods pretty well.
The guys usually coordinate their own clothes for non-costume outfits, but for this video they enlisted a local stylist named Tanya Buzu. J.None certainly seemed to enjoy his wardrobe.
The video description on YouTube reiterates that "You should know you're beautiful just the way you are." Very sweet of them.
A fan was inspired to create drawings of some of the guys.
A couple weeks after its initial release, this mashup was played on University of Nebraska – Lincoln's campus radio station during their weekly Vocal Chords show that features a cappella music.
They garnered a bit of praise from their friend and colleague, Tim Foust. (Sadly, the potential collaboration didn't happen, but most of the guys did get to attend the Home Free show that brought him to their hometown.)
This track was later included on VoicePlay's "Citrus" album, which compiled most of the songs they recorded from 2017-19. Because the individual songs had already been made available digitally, that album is exclusively a physical item that can only be purchased at live shows or through their website.

Voiceplay Visuals: Frozen 2 Medley
I really love Frozen 2 (i like it more than the original actually), the animation is great, and the soundtrack is 10/10 awesome, and Voiceplay's medley video for it is just as good! This video features Adriana Arellano, not just in her first appearance in a Voiceplay video, but her first video performance ever? And she was only 15 when this was released?? Man
This video was actually a Christmas Day upload for Voiceplay (for my timezone anyway) back in 2019, and it's a rare case of having 6 vocalists in a video instead of the average 5 (but it you're gonna do a Frozen Medley, you're almost definitely gonna need a female singer). But anyway, let's get into this!
So obviously Adriana is taking dual roles of both Anna and Elsa (in white pants and a cute periwinkle(?) top), Eli is "Disneybounding" as Olaf, Layne is being just a little bit Extra with his Sven outfit, and Earl, J, and Geoff are sharing the role of Kristoff (also Geoff in a scarf again, which he also wears in Baby Its Cold Outside, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and his cover of White Christmas (different scarves though))
Also neat background! I'm guessing this was filmed at Pattycake Productions, but the description doesn't say

At first I was only pausing to see what Geoff was doing with his hands (air bass again? or some other air-instrument?) but uhh there's a lot going on in this picture 😂
Layne back at it again with the carrots! (Seriously him chopping and peeling carrots and using it as actual percussion/foley is honestly iconic and will never not be the funniest thing to me)
Making this post and looking for screencaps has really elevated the hilarity of this video for me honestly XD

And that's all I have to say for this video! Man, what a freaking awesome medley. Really well done on all levels, and the enjoyment that Adriana and the guys had in making this is absolutely palpable (Also Geoff was very pretty in this video okay)

He's really doing this back then and it's a massively powerful bike no it's aerodynamics and it's his idea and the thinner tire worked it's hard to control but at speed it works pretty good until you reach a certain speed but they weren't going that fast he's much faster than they were and he knew it he did that many races he finally asked him to stop showing up he said why because I'm winning that's really a bunch of losers you have races that aren't racist it's open class who can't ask me not to show up and they said we really want you not to show up so he said what if someone came up with competition what then I said we'll see you when that happens so Brad called up and he says I have a bike like yours and I want to compete and so they kick me out and I said no I found something to do with it so he calls up and that says I'm like him and I am fast and said good so they showed up at the same race and they raced and they're not talking about native Americans no they are and they were talking about riding us they think that's what they're doing and they don't know where we are but anyways Mac is still one but he came in like second and it's an Open class and you can put a bigger motor since then for Brad to put bigger tires in a bigger motor and to scooch down like that and he is and he goes way back so he laid down on it and he put some Patty and Max side and said no way and he made a special cow and they started racing back and forth and the bigger tires started to win couple races as it where is this coming from is coming from the future apparently says yeah and we're mentioning it the Yankee foust of Jonathan Moulton is upset I guess I said you're going to miss Tron and it's his futuristic problem we're having with the Mac proper and he says he's going to be there and he's really over the top and needs to be rained in and he just refuses to be but I guess that's what wild horses are all about so they smiled and says you're actually right so they raised for a while and they won and other people started doing it and the tires weren't that big but he he said I can handle it better and he lowered it the thing was enormously fast Matt tried the same thing and said I can beat him hands down and he just doesn't have the guts for it he said he's not that old and he doesn't know what happens and so he said this is true but then he said he's old but really doesn't know so they're racing and they loved it and he gave Indian a Hallmark name this is what do I do about it I said you can try a fatter tires and smaller Wheels believe it or not wouldn't hurt but like look like they they like this big the tires with the other ones like that so he did it and he said what the hell is this I'm going much faster so you're low to the ground anyway no way so he's flying and I mean flying into and wouldn't hurt to put a little teeny visor he did that and the thing started taking off is after the Indian and he said I can't even release this and he is going like about 300 miles an hour and said yeah you probably shouldn't but he had his guys with them and they're flying around the road and then you go faster than that and he knew the secret but he saw yours he went no way he saw the v he said what is that contraption heard you and he got down low on it and move things around and he went about 500 miles an hour and he said you got to be kidding this guy is going to kick our ass and we are and nobody knows it though

The Chicken Song — VoicePlay live performances
For this post, I want to let you do a bit of compare-and-contrast. Below are two performances of the same piece, two years apart. As with a lot of VoicePlay's more theatrical skit-songs, every iteration is a little different, and delightful in its own way. Especially in comedic numbers like this, "Elvira", and "Road Trip", where the guys are trying to make each other laugh almost as much as they're trying to entertain their audience.

Trivia:
Tony's improvised dialog, "Hey, my name is Maggie. Welcome to Matt's," is a reference to Matt's Bar in Minneapolis, where the guys had been very excited to go for a lunch of "juicy lucy" burgers before the show.
Since they were in Home Free's neck of the woods for the conference, the guys had a chance to catch up with Rob Lundquist and Tim Foust.
Tim live-tweeted the show in his typical wry fashion, including some arboreal appreciation for his fellow bass singer.

This performance was part of a benefit concert for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation hosted by the Alpha Epsilon Phi fraternity at Stanford University. Tony got stuck in Florida because of Hurricane Matthew, so their old friend Paul from Vox Audio agreed to pinch hit. Which made it even more chaotic than usual.

Trivia:
The "California cow" / "happy cow" / "best cheese" banter was referencing a series of ads from the California Milk Advisory Board that aired in the early 2000s.
The Chiclets gum question was asked at least in part because that brand had recently been discontinued.
Young lads Layne, Earl, Geoff, and James May recorded a live audio version (without the waitress verse) for 4:2:Five's album "Time Machine" way back in 2004.
