Later that same day when humprey is reunited with his body and in one piece, he meets up with cap and gives him an awkward hug. Cap is like "?? what's all this now" and humph shrugs and goes "idk sometimes I have these feelings that someone's said something important but I never quite know for sure" and Cap has a mini moment of good lord did he actually hear me come out and it's slight panic but he feels relieved once humphrey just smiles because he told someone, he's finally told someone out loud and it wasn't a disaster

Thinking about how this is nothing new. That we should have expected q!roier to reach this point in his spiral. That q!cellbit pretty much warned us about this back during his conversation with q!bagi when he asked if she had looked deeply into q!roier’s eyes and seeing the emptiness in his soul. That q!roier agreeing with q!cellbit in being tired of losing and wanting to go against the federation through bloodshed even if meant having to go against the whole island was just as much of a declaration of love as was him expression a want for self destruction that has sat and festered at least since bobby died.

Thinking about how q!cellbit was one of the only people who could effectively tear down the walls and facades that q!roier puts up. How everyone’s want to return to normal life works for everyone but him, because it hasn’t been normal life since richarlyson went missing. How it feels somehow worst than when the only worry was finding the eggs because at least everyone talked about and did something about that. How in their acceptance of the three new eggs and their refusal to acknowledge purgatory past jokes, to acknowledge how so many people on the island still haven’t returned from purgatory has isolated q!roier. How it has only caused his self-destructive spiral to worsen. How he is sabotaging his relationship with pepito because he simultaneously thinks he’s a distraction and someone he cares about and trying to prepare himself to lose.

Thinking about how when q!bad, the only other person on this island arguably doing close to just as bad as q!roier in his acknowledgment of how bad he’s doing has been the only own to notice that q!roier still isnt smiling, i dont know how the hell he’s supposed to escape this spiral.

Something needs to change, someone needs to realize that q!roier is doing fucking horribly if things are ever gonna get better.

look, as someone who uses a walking cane i fucking love aids that are/turn into weapons. kaz and his lead lined cane hold a special place in my heart, as does the entire concept of sword canes as a whole.

with matt specifically it's, hold on let me see if i can use some of my english essay writing skill here

it's about the symbolism. it's about taking something most people view as a weakness and turning it into a strength. it's about how his main weapons as daredevil, one of the things that make people notice and perceive daredevil as a threat turns into one of the main reasons people overlook and write matt murdock off. it's about turning something mundane into something extraordinary, it's about how it ties back to his identity and how he allows himself to be perceived, how he wants people to see matt murdock, versus how he wants them to see daredevil. it's about bridging that gap via an object that is equally crucial to both identities but in different ways, as either a weapon or an aid.

Design notes for Lighthouse-120 and Vanguard:

Lighthouse-120

-Purple eyes are commonly seen in reality benders, and 120 also answers to Department of Ontokinetics. Her sigil in on her eyepatch… I don’t know how she lost the other eye, but she’s the oldest Polish personif under Vanguard so that probably has something to do with it. She’s not a type green herself.

-Her compass-necklace is from the Multiversal Reality Compass (6172), which she invented.

-The wings are from her lighthouse sigil.

-The base of her hair is the color of her lighthouse sigil, the oranges and reds on one side are from her motto (fighting fire with fire), and the red and green on the other side are from 3001 and her pre-Veilfall cover story. The blonde bits are from the photo of her aboveground true body.

-Watchtower-43 (I’m not sure if she’s a Lighthouse or Watchtower, but hey, acromatic abatement) was supposed to be in this picture too, she and 120 are girlfriends, but I got tired. I have a design for her though, she’s probably the first person-adjacent entity in history to wear a labcoat over a plumber outfit.

Vanguard

-His hair was as white as his mother’s pre-debut and the green and yellow only started coming in once he killed her. It’s like blonde hair darkening with age.

-His eye colors are for the Nälkä and Maxwellist Collective.

-The snake looking thing coiled around one of his side bangs is for the Serpent’s Hand, and also makes his hair look more like his sigil.

-He doesn’t actually need those glasses, it’s a PR thing.

-Foundation was an awful parent and personif in general and he is perfectly justified in posing in front of her grave.
