Hoppy, Kickin, and an OC!
In this supposed AU their names are Scotch Hoppfield, Ken Hen, and Maya Mirthful the moth athletically involved of the Smiling Critters (the oc is not considered part of the main gang), Hoppy and Kickin spend the most time on the mainland involved in a lot of big city sporting events and bringing back trophies and sponsorships and the like. Not many can rival their abilities, especially Hoppy who always seems to come out on top with Maya and Kickin being an item for a fair time.
One day Maya fell off the radar, coming back 2 years later out of the blue asking Kickin for help. With what? He's concerned and pretty T'd off about being ghosted for two years but for some reason he can't say no. But when his kinda sorta almost ex gf asks him to help her explore the abandoned toy factory, Kickin doesn't know what to expect.
Hoppy is a winner and everyone loves her. She is on top of the world! Nothing can stop her. Except for her heart. She is feeling indescribable pains lately, like something in her chest is unwinding but no doctor can tell her what is wrong. The pain is very fleeting and maybe that's why she ignores it, until she gets a letter in her mailbox asking her to come to the abandoned Playtime Co. "for review", nothing she is reading makes sense. And yet it does.

Into, Across and Beyond! Cast: The Smiling Critters (or "Smiling Buddies")
Please refer to the below post as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Attached link is for both halves of the art, designed by togebora)
A colourful band of friends, these are who you may (or may not) know as the Smiling Critters! Well, they are different in the IAB! continuity than you may know them in Poppy Playtime, especially over in Dimension MP-2021, where their roles are most prominent.
In this universe, they are NOT fictional characters from a TV show or toy lineup, but they are instead real characters in-universe who co-exist alongside everyone else in MP-2021. As it happened, all eight had applied for Bumper High School at the beginning of One More Hero and were getting ready to study alongside OMT!Tails and the ApocalypseTitan kid characters.
Daylight the Pup (DogDay)
The leader of the friend group and one of the most optimistic of the eight. He's shown to be very loyal to his friends, and he's one of the first OMT!Tails passes by on the open week at the school.
Bubba the Elephant (Bubba Bubbaphant)
The blue elephant member and one of the top students in classes, up there with OMT!Tails (mainly in math and science) and Max Cartwright. He's naturally smart and has a really good memory for things, and he's sometimes about to keep check on the below-mentioned petition and see how it's coming along.
Kickroyale the Chicken (Kickin' Chicken)
The yellow chicken member who is full of radical attitude for those around him and can be pretty smug about stuff. Though it does cause trouble on occasion for those around him, he's still got a good heart, and he's a bit of a softie deep down. Though he is the "cool kid" of his gang, he is pretty prone to fear, and is open to asking others for help if he really needs it.
As it happens, in One More Hero, he's the first to come to OMT!Tails and Bobby's aid when Benny starts bullying them for the heck of it (and even had the gall to mock Bobby's all-loving status), and he kept his trap shut when Richard attacked the school in More than One Universe to avoid being noticed.
Picky Patch the Pig (PickyPiggy)
The pink pig member and the big eater of the bunch. Contrary to her name, she isn't picky, but she enjoys lunchtimes at school and usually picks something filling and healthy to have for her daily meals. Of course, she can be picky about trying light snacks or fast foods, due to not wanting to be unhealthy in her life.
Picky is also one of the most optimistic and level-headed in the group, and is there to calm the others down if things are getting out of hand. And out of the goodness in her heart, when she heard that OMT!Tails was off sick, she shared some apples she had picked from an orchard for him to enjoy.
Hoppy Scotch the Bunny (Hoppy Hopscotch)
The green rabbit member and the most excitable of the bunch. She gives a lot of enthusiasm to friends around her, though can come off as loud or impatient sometimes because of this, so she does make time to slow down for her friends.
Of the bunch, she was one of the bigger fans of OMT!Sonic when he was still alive, and aspired to be able to run fast like him, hence her decision to ask OMT!Tails to give running or hopping a shot with her whenever they got the chance to hang out.
Crafty "CraftyCorn" Canvas the Unicorn
The white, yet colourful, unicorn member and one of the more shy members. She is shy around meeting new people, but especially enjoys art and the vast wonders it can create. As an aspiring artist, she finds it very important to share the art she creates with others and finding beauty in pretty much anything around her.
She's the Smiling Buddy who has the most influence in points of One More Hero's plot, as she had heard about the rising prevalence of AI in art theft and disliked the idea, so she enlisted OMT!Tails's help to go and get people to sign her petition to make AI art outright illegal in Dimension MP-2021.
OMT!Tails did find some difficulty in getting all the required signatures at first, but when the alternate crew from the Blur Gang came along, that's when he made excellent progress, and he handed the finished petition back to Crafty at the end of the story for her to put forward. She even painted a picture of him (including one with his nano-suit) and sent it to him as a thank you for what he did.
Bobby Hugster the Bear (Bobby Bearhug)
The young red bear member and the all-loving part of the gang. She's a young girl who shows love and compassion for pretty much anybody, no matter who they are. However, this all-loving status doesn't come without its flaws, as it leaves her vulnerable to bullying, which she wouldn't have made it through if not for people like OMT!Tails and Kickroyale having her back.
In One More Hero, she's the first to see how nervous Tails is about settling into his new school in those next six months, and offers him some starting companionship while he gets to grips with the place. And once she heard about what went down with Uma, she's the first to comfort OMT!Tails once he returns to the school dorms, knowing just how difficult it must be for him to cope with.
Of course, thanks to her being there whilst OMT!Tails was being comforted by the Blur Gang, it meant she also got caught up in the crazy hide-and-seek when Danny entered the room, and then pinned in the room with OMT!Tails when the Blur Gang headed out to shut down Eggman Nega's invention themselves, though she was freed once Tails got his heroic second wind.
Naksh the Cat (CatNap)
The last member of the Smiling Buddies, and arguably the one who's changed THE MOST from his original counterpart. He's not constantly sleepy, but he is selectively mute and hasn't smiled a lot, even when with his friends. He had a rough home life and finds comfort in being around people who genuinely get it.
He does show up to help comfort OMT!Tails after Uma is hospitalised, though due to being more nervous, he doesn't stick around after the Blur Gang arrive at his dorm, though does show fascination when he witnesses proof of the multiverse from them.
Through this knowledge, he saw about his portrayals from Playtime Co. and the horrors of the factory, and isn't afraid to show his dislike for BOTH portrayals, feeling they don't capture who he really is at all.
And in general...
Each of them enjoy being around OMT!Tails and have all supported him from the sidelines in his quest to protect Mobius from destruction at the hands of crazed villains. Though their roles are not as major as anyone from the Blur Gang, Quill Society or rogues gallery, they all still make sure to do their part where it counts.
Small Note
For all you Poppy Playtime fans that saw this post and liked it, welcome to my blog, where I post stuff related to a story based on Spider-Verse, but with hedgehogs, foxes and other characters from the Sonic multiverse. Be sure to stick around here to see more!
And as a side-note to you guys, the Smiling Critters (who I'll admit are my personal favourites from the game) are going to be the ONLY representation of Poppy Playtime in ALL of IAB!. That means the rest of the characters are absent in Dimension MP-2021 outright.

The Smiling Critters Theory Part 1 (HoppyHop Scotch, PickyPiggy, Bubbaphant, beary bearhug)
This is a continuation from the last post. I wanna discuss the smiling critters and what I think what happened to them.
If you aren't aware, in Poppy playtime Chapter 3. A line of characters was introduced as the smiling critters. Their names are Bubba Bubbaphant, KickinChicken, Beary BearHug, PickyPiggy, HoppyHop Scotch, DogDay and Catnap. Not only we're they sold as toys with each of their signature scent. They were also given their very own tv show. However, parents start to express their concern about the catnap plushie because while making the toys instead of the lavender scent that catnap was supposed to have, instead, he was given a poppy scent That even the bigger body catnap has to make the kids go to sleep. Parents express their concerns because their kids kept having hallucigenic nightmares. We even hear this when a woman named Clare Harper talks about how one of the orphans, Marie, had a nightmare involving a colourless monster.
Just like how many of the toys were made by playtime Co. Each of them ended up being part of the bigger bodies initiative. We saw Catnap in that form as well as dogday, so it would be that far-fetched that the other smiling critters were bigger bodies as well. But the question is what happened to them since DogDay says that he is the last of the smiling critters.
We need to talk about where we found DogDay. After managing to get power back on for the school area. We manage to find ourselves in the playhouse. Ollie appears to not like the playhouse, and when we get there, we know why. While the other places have destroyed with blood stains all over. The playhouse looks unsettling, especially when we meet DogDay. He is chained to, but also, he's in a prison cell. The first time we saw the prison cells was a surveillance camera in project playtime. While finding DogDay, we do see some sort of underground lare, which is where catnap used to be in. This is where they kept the bigger bodies of the smiling critters.
Now, let's talk about what happened to each of them. During the playthrough, you come across a cardboard cutout of one of the smiling critters. It starts with them introducing themselves, and we get to know a little about their personality, but things take a dark turn where they say things that are unsettling. While cardboard cutouts have been there since the beginning that never really introduced themselves. Huggy Wuggy expresses the importance of hugs, CatBee makes bee puns, and Bunzo Bunny talks about birthdays.
The reason why this is important is because if you listen to their cardboard cutouts, you'll notice that it sounds like they are at the brink of insanity. Since CatNap was already devoted to the prototype since the prototype saved his life. He is pretty much aware that there is a plan since he tells Lieth Pierre about the prototype saving them. If you look at the promotion of the smiling critters. The other smiling critters express emotions even if they have grinning faces except for Catnap, which still keeps the same emotion. CatNap's personality revealed that he has a calming presence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Catnap does worship the prototype because of what he did for him. CatNap accepts the influence that the prototype has on him. Meanwhile, DogDay says that him and the other tried to resist the control of the prototype and how if someone disagrees with the prototype, Catnap eliminates them. The other smiling critters are trying to keep their personality intact, but because they are trying to resist the control of the prototype, their sanity becomes a problem.
The cut-outs even give us in-depth what happened to the smiling critters, and we may even figure out what happened afterwards. We'll start with hoppy hopscotch. She introduces herself and asks if we want to go jump on to the moon. This is basically a generic cartoon way since HoppyHop Scotch is described as being energetic and wants to go on adventures. However, the more we hear, the more it sounds like she is determined to jump on the moon. She's also appears frustrated with the player for supposedly messing it up and that looking at feet doesn't matter. When she does jump, you hear the sound of falling. Since we know that they were trying to resist the control of the prototype, it is likely that hoppyhop Scotch couldn't deal with it and she really want to go the moon so she unalive herself for the process.
Next up is PickyPiggy. Hers is interesting because It tells us what happened to 3 of the smiling critters but not hers. It is heavily implied that KickinChicken, Bubba Bubbaphant, and CraftyCorn were eaten by PickyPiggy herself. However, I see them as an offering by catnap since its a knowledge that pigs eat everything that they see as food. PickyPiggy talks about how she's still hungry despite eating an elephant. It is likely that picky piggy died of starvation because if she was eating her friends in front of her friends, they probably saw it as a punishment if they tried to escape.
Bobby BearHug is next on. We are going to look into it. Bobby BearHug is the compassionate of the smiling critters where she appears to care a lot about her friends. In her cardboard cut-out, it appears that she has abandonment issues where she asks the player if they are going to leave her. This is leaning towards that Bobby BearHug died of a broken heart. It is like that when some of the smiling critters tried to escape, which led to their deaths, they abandoned Bobby bearhug. While yes, it sounds absurd that a toy can die in such a way, but these toys have organs where they can eat, breathe, and even die. So, I don't think it would be out of the ordinary that a toy like Bobby bearhug who is known for her compassion but also trying to break free of the prototype's control would end up dying of a broken-heart.
Bubba Bubbaphant was the first cardboard cutout we saw in the game, and because of this, it is likely that he was the first to die. Bubba Bubbaphant's cardboard cutout doesn't act weird until the end when he is screaming. He expresses that he remembers the player, which could be because we know the main protagonist used to work here while also stating that elephants always remember. If you listen closely to his screams, it sounds like he's also laughing at the same time. The only time he's done this is when him and the smiling critters are given the red smoke at CatNap in that episode.
While Bubbaphant is laughing and screaming, it sounds like he's saying, "Grandma." I looked up, and grandmothers take the role as the matriarch of the elephant and make sure that the baby elephants grow into adulthood and that the mama elephant gets the support she needs. It's so interesting because it appears as though Bubba Bubbaphant was given the knowledge as an elephant itself. Since the red smoke is known for the person showing hallucinations. It is likely that when Bubba Bubbaphant got the red smoke, he may have been hallucinating an elderly female elephant, which was probably catnap in disguised, who ended up killing him and offered him to PickyPiggy.

Oh my gosh the drunk headcanons for Takeshi were so cute! Can I request you also do drunk headcanons for Adult!Reborn?
Aww, thank you for the compliment! I’m so glad you enjoyed them! And thank you for the apology for sending these in at the wrong time. I have no problem doing them up for you though, especially where you were so polite, and I hope you’ll enjoy these ones too!
Reborn actually started drinking quite young and he has a rather impressive alcohol tolerance. It also helps that he’s smart when he drinks, only getting drunk around those very, very few people he trusts, and waiting in between drinks, just maintaining a slightly buzzed, pleasant feeling rather than drinking to get drunk.
He likes beer, preferring a lighter ale or something hoppy. He’s also a bit of a wine snob and enjoys the occasional single-malt scotch, neat.
Reborn can pretty easily tell when he’s starting to get drunk, as he’ll develop a bit of a mental stutter, with his thought’s kind of half-repeating right after he’s finished saying them, with him not fully remembering if he has said them or not.
His reactions slow down considerably when he’s drunk, so he will never drink more than one or two drinks when he’s on the job or when there is a possibility of danger. He can still operate based on muscle memory, but he is slower in his speed and mental processes and that affects his ability to fight properly.
When he can let loose and get drunk though, he will sit down with the express purpose of getting drunk and getting drunk as quickly as he can. Which, considering that he does have that fearsome alcohol tolerance, isn’t all that quick. He is a bit of a sloppy drunk when fully drunk, to be honest.
He tells the best jokes when he gets fully drunk, at least in his opinion, and he’s rather a happy drunk.
Reborn gets strangely physically affectionate when drunk. He never means anything flirty or sexual by it, most definitely not, but he’s just super affectionate and gets very touchy and hangs all over people.

Pairing Wagyu Beef with Beverages
Tumblr media
Indulging in the rich, buttery texture of Wagyu beef is an experience that elevates the senses. However, you must consider pairing wagyu beef online Ipswich with the perfect beverage to enhance this culinary journey. For example, with the subtle complexities of wine, the boldness of whiskey, or the refreshing notes of other beverages, the right pairing can elevate the flavours of the Wagyu beef you buy to new heights.
The taste of Wagyu beef can be described as incredibly Savory, with a complex flavor profile encompassing hints of umami, sweetness, and nuttiness. Each bite is an experience, with layers of flavor that unfold with every chew. The exceptional marbling of the meat allows it to baste itself as it cooks, resulting in exceptional juiciness and richness.
Pairing with Wine
When pairing wagyu beef online with wine, focus on the richness and depth of both components. Opting for full-bodied red wines with robust flavors and ample tannins is often the preferred choice. Varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Syrah complement the rich marbling and Savory notes of Wagyu beef, increasing its inherent flavors without overpowering them.
For example, a well-aged Cabernet Sauvignon with its bold fruit flavors and structured tannins provides a perfect balance to the succulence of Wagyu beef. The acidity of the wine cuts through the richness of the meat, while its tannic backbone accentuates the umami flavours, resulting in a harmonious pairing that delights the palate.
Alternatively, for those who prefer a lighter wine, Pinot Noir with its elegant profile and soft tannins can also complement Wagyu beef beautifully. Its vibrant red fruit flavors and earthy undertones enhance the natural sweetness of the meat, creating a nuanced pairing that showcases the intricacies of both wine and beef.
Pairing with Whiskey
The bold, complex flavors of whiskey present another enticing option for pairing with Wagyu beef. Whether it is the smoky notes of Scotch whisky, the caramel sweetness of bourbon, or the spicy complexity of rye whiskey, each expression offers a unique interplay of flavors that can elevate the dining experience.
For example, the smoky peat of an Islay Scotch whisky can harmonize with the rich, Savory profile of wagyu beef online, creating a sensory journey with each sip and bite. The smoky undertones of the whisky complement the umami flavors of the meat, while its robust character provides a satisfying contrast to the buttery texture of the beef.
Similarly, a bourbon with its sweet caramel and vanilla notes can offer a delightful counterbalance to the richness of Wagyu beef. The smooth finish and warm undertones of the whisky accentuate the natural sweetness of the meat, resulting in a satisfying pairing.
Pairing with Other Beverages
While wine and whiskey are popular choices for pairing with Wagyu beef, there are plenty of other beverages that can complement this decadent meat. For example, craft beers with their diverse flavor profiles and refreshing effervescence can provide a delightful contrast to the richness of Wagyu beef. From hoppy IPAs to malty stouts, the possibilities are endless when it comes to beer pairing.
In addition, non-alcoholic options such as sparkling water or artisanal sodas can also offer a refreshing palate cleanser between bites, allowing diners to fully appreciate the nuances of wagyu beef online without overwhelming their senses.

Alcoholic Beverages Market: Understanding the Impact of Regulatory Changes and Policies
Alcoholic Beverages: Types, Effects and Regulations Introduction Alcoholic beverages have been consumed by humans for thousands of years across different cultures and civilizations. While moderate consumption can provide some health benefits, excessive drinking can lead to serious health, social and legal problems. This article discusses the various types of commonly consumed alcoholic drinks, their effects on health as well as regulations around their production and consumption. Types of Alcoholic Beverages Alcoholic beverages are broadly classified into three main categories based on the source of alcohol - beer, wine and spirits. Each category has many sub-types. Beer Beer is one of the most popular and oldest alcoholic beverages, consumed across the world. It is made by fermenting grains like barley, which yields 3-8% alcohol by volume. Some common beer styles include: - Lager: Pale lager is the most widely consumed beer style worldwide accounting for over 80% of global beer production. Examples include Budweiser, Coors, etc. - Ale: Ales have a long fermentation time resulting in various flavors. India Pale Ales (IPA) are very popular today due to their hoppy taste. Ales also include stouts like Guinness. - Wheat beer: As the name suggests, wheat beers use a large proportion of malted wheat along with barley. Examples are Hoegaarden and Blue Moon. Wine Wine is produced by fermenting grapes and can be red, white or rose depending on the variety of grapes used. The alcohol content ranges between 11-14% by volume. Some popular wine varieties include: - Still wines: These mature in bottles and include varieties like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir etc. - Sparkling wines: Champagne is the most famous sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France using the tradition method. Other varieties are Prosecco and Cava. Spirits Spirits have a higher alcohol content compared to beer and wine, in the range of 25-60%. They are produced by distilling fermented mixtures. - Whiskey: Made from malted barley or other grains that are fermented and distilled. Varieties are Scotch, Irish, American, Canadian, Japanese whiskies based on country of origin. - Rum: Produced by fermenting and distilling sugarcane molasses or sugarcane juice. Darker rums are aged for a longer period. - Tequila: Made from blue agave plants, primarily around Jalisco, Mexico. Can be white, reposado or añejo based on aging. - Gin: Flavored with juniper berries along with other botanicals and derived from neutral grain spirits. Health Effects of Alcohol Consumption Moderate consumption of alcohol, defined as one drink per day for women and 2 drinks per day for men, has been linked to some health benefits like reduced risk of heart disease. However, heavier drinking can cause serious health issues: - Liver diseases: Excessive long term drinking places a huge burden on the liver and may lead to fatty liver, hepatitis or cirrhosis over the years. - Cancer risk: The International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified alcohol as a Group 1 carcinogen. Studies show a link between heavy drinking and increased risk of cancers like breast, liver, esophagus and colon cancers. - Brain impairment: Binge drinking or alcoholism can damage brain regions affecting memory, emotional control and motor functions causing conditions like dementia or Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome in severe cases. - Social issues: Alcohol misuse often contributes to problems like domestic violence, abusive behavior, lost productivity and road traffic accidents when combined with driving. Conclusion In summary, while moderate alcohol consumption may provide some benefits, excessive drinking should definitely be avoided considering its significant health, social and legal risks. Understanding the types of alcoholic drinks, their effects as well as regulations around production and consumption is important to promote responsible usage.

Best Burgers in Royston
Learning the Craft:
Here are some basic rules to keep in mind before we start our trip through British burger and beer pairings. Finding the right mix between the burger and beer flavours is the goal. It will create a symphony on the palate that you will remember for a long time.
Preserve Burger History:
Think about where the burger you're eating came from for a moment. Is it a traditional British beef patty, a mix of world flavours, or a speciality from the area? Knowing where the burger came from can help you decide what kind of beer to pair it with.
Understanding Burger Toppings and Condiments:
What goes on top of the burger and what goes on top of it are significant influences on its personality. Every part of the flavour profile, from traditional British chutneys to foreign relishes, affects the choice of beer to go with it.
Level up the difficulty and intensity:
Think about how strong and complicated the burger and the beer are. A robust and hearty burger might need a solid beer to go with it, while a lighter choice would do better with a milder brew. It would be best if you tried to find a balance that lets each part shine.
Pairings for Burgers with British Beer -
Traditional beef burger with a bitter:
Classic beef burgers go well with the famous British Bitter, which has a balanced maltiness and mild hop bitterness. There is a long history of this combo because the caramel notes in the beer go well with the char-grilled flavours of the patty.
Plowman's Burger with Golden Ale:
Choose a Golden Ale for a burger that looks like a traditional Ploughman's lunch and has cheese, pickles, and Branston pickles. The crisp and cool ale went well with the rich cheese and pickle, making the whole thing taste better.
Indian Pale Ale (IPA) and a Curry Lamb Burger:
An adventurous meal with a curry-flavoured lamb burger and a strong IPA will add some spice. The hoppy acidity of the IPA goes well with the robust flavours of the curry, making a lively and tasty combination.
With a Scotch Ale and a Scottish Haggis Burger:
With a Haggis burger and a Scotch Ale, you can feel like you're in Scotland. The sweet maltiness of the ale goes well with the salty, rich flavour of the haggis, making for a very satisfying mix.
Fish & Chips Burger with Pale Lager:
Make a burger out of the traditional fish and chips and serve it with a crisp Pale Lager. A lager's fizz goes well with fish that is thin, and a clean finish from the beer brings out the subtle flavours in the batter.
A Welsh Rarebit Burger and a Porter drink:
Improve the burger that is based on Welsh Rarebit by adding a dark and rich Porter. It's a rich and decadent match, with the roasted maltiness of the beer going well with the salty cheese sauce.
Beer and a vegetarian pasty burger:
Enjoy veggie tastes with a burger that tastes like a pasty and a Mild Ale. The natural flavors of the vegetables are brought out by the ale's malty flavor, making for a satisfying and well-rounded experience.
King James Royston Pub Burgers and Drinks –
It is one of the best burgers in Royston you'll ever eat. Enjoy! People who eat our burgers with extra hot sauce love them, whether they are veggies or not. King James Pub is known for having some of the most searing burgers, which our customers are excited to try. "Can you handle me Burger" Burger is the hottest burger that has ever been given in Hertfordshire, so come here if you want to try it.
We serve some of the best beers and drinks, which go well with all of our burgers. Please feel free to ask our staff what they think about the food and beverages that go well together. We're here to give you the best food and drinks in a place where you'll remember great times.
In Conclusion:
There are as many possible combinations of British burgers and beers as there are British cooking styles. Each pairing shows a different side of British food, from the traditional comforts of a beef burger and Bitter to the bold mix of curry lamb and IPA. Enjoy the art of mixing burgers with British beers as you search for your new favourite foods. Let your taste buds enjoy the symphony of flavours that unfolds with each bite and sip. There's nothing better than burgers and the best beers in Britain together!

How-To Order Wine at a Bar/Restaurant With Limited Wine List
When there is no wine list, tread with caution. I realized only recently that the main reason I don't like Chardonnay or Merlot very much boils down to the fact that most bars and restaurants without an extensive wine menu will still offer a red and white wine by the glass (called, "the house wine")-and it's typically Merlot and Chardonnay. It's also typically quite cheap, and almost always tastes that way, too. The Merlot will be hard to drink and will leave a bitter finish, and the Chardonnay will be thick and almost slimy on the tongue, with a somewhat sweet yet tinny taste. Ring a bell? No wonder these grapes have gotten a bad rap over the years-albeit false! Imagine swearing off kissing because you didn't enjoy your first kiss. You know inherently that, with trial-and-error, you could find a good kiss. Something about the wine industry confuses us, though: I, too, fell into the trap, assuming that a grape was a grape was a grape, or, that Chardonnay and Merlot wines will be pretty much the same. That's simply not true. I've recently been experimenting with both grapes, after a recent trip to Sonoma that proved these grapes can be so much more complex and delicious than ever expected, especially for those of us used to the house wines.
So, when you're faced with a decision about what to drink at a restaurant/bar without a scotch full wine menu, what do you do? A few considerations:
Accept that wine may be your first choice, but instead order beer. Beer is as diverse an industry as wine, and something I've grown to appreciate myself. If you consider yourself someone who avoids beer, ask the bartender for something very light, not hoppy. It's the beer's hops that go into beer that give it that yeasty, beer-like taste and make it difficult to drink. And, food accompanies beer quite well, unlike many cocktails.
If you really want a glass of wine, order it with food. It will make it more drinkable. I would not recommend these wines as sipping wines.
Ask for sangria, where the wine will have been mixed with other ingredients including rum and fruit. I've never had bad sangria. Just be careful it's not artificially made with syrups behind the bar. You want something that's been brewing for hours. I should add that some bars offer limited, but good, wine selections. How do you know? The wine will be listed alongside its vintage (year) and producer (winery). I give the green light on ordering from such a list. If you don't have this information, and even if the venue offers more varietals (Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are popular), I would avoid ordering the wine. Of course, experiment a little yourself, see what you like. As we've said before, a good wine is one that you personally enjoy, not one that someone else tells you to drink.

All You Need To Know About All Types Of Alcohol Brands And Their Unique Flavours
Tumblr media
Raise your glasses, it's time to explore the wonderful world of alcohol! From light lagers to dark stouts, and everything in between, there are countless types of alcohol brands out there waiting to be tasted. Whether you're a connoisseur or just starting out on your journey of discovering new flavors, this ultimate guide has got you covered. And for those looking to indulge in luxury tastes, we've also compiled a list of the world's most expensive alcohol brands that are sure to make any occasion extra special. So sit back, grab a drink (if you're old enough!) and let's dive into the exciting world of all types of alcohol brands and their unique flavors!
From Lager To Stout: The Ultimate Guide To All Types Of Alcohol Brands
First up, let's start with the basics: lagers and ales. Lagers are known for their crisp, clean taste and are often light in color. They're typically brewed using bottom-fermenting yeast at cooler temperatures. Ales, on the other hand, have a wider range of flavors and colors thanks to top-fermenting yeast that works at warmer temperatures.
Moving on to darker beers like stouts and porters, these types of alcohol brands pack a punch in terms of flavor. Stouts are characterized by their roasted malt flavor and creamy texture while porters tend to be less bitter but still full-bodied.
If you're looking for something hoppy with a strong bitterness, IPAs (India Pale Ales) might just be your thing. These types of beer originated from England but gained popularity in India during colonial times due to its high alcohol content which helped preserve it during long voyages.
For those who prefer sweeter drinks or cocktails, there are plenty of options available too - from fruity wines like Moscato to dessert-like liqueurs such as Bailey's Irish Cream.
No matter what your taste preferences may be, there is an endless variety when it comes to all types of alcohol brands out there waiting for you to explore!
The Luxurious Taste Of The World's Most Expensive Alcohol Brands
When it comes to enjoying a luxurious night, nothing beats the exquisite taste of the world's most expensive alcohol brands. These premium beverages are crafted with precision and made from the finest ingredients, resulting in exceptional flavours that tantalize your palate.
One of these finest bottles is the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne that has been aged for over 100 years, making it one of a kind. It's presented in an elegant bottle made of fine crystal and adorned with 24-carat gold and sterling platinum.
Another option is Isabella’s Islay whisky which comes in a handcrafted decanter encrusted with diamonds. This rare Scotch whiskey was distilled back in 1856, making it more than just a drink but also an investment due to its rarity.
For those who enjoy vodka, Billionaire Vodka might be worth trying out as its bottle features over 3,000 diamonds along with solid white-gold decoration on each bottle. The vodka itself is created using purest spring water from France and filtered through Nordic birch charcoal before being bottled into this luxurious presentation.
If you're looking to indulge yourself or impress someone special on occasion then these elite alcohol brands are definitely worth considering for their exceptional quality and luxury appeal.
The Most Expensive Alcohol Brands You Can Buy Right Now
Alcohol connoisseurs are always seeking the finest, rarest and most expensive alcoholic drinks to add to their collection. Here are some of the world's most expensive alcohol brands that you can buy right now.
First on our list is the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne. This cognac has been aged for over 100 years and comes in a bottle made of 24-karat gold and sterling platinum. It costs around $2 million!
Next up is Isabella's Islay, which is considered to be one of the best whiskies ever produced. This single malt whisky was distilled in 1850 and bottled in 2018, making it almost two centuries old! A bottle of this whisky will cost you around $6 million.
Another luxurious drink on our list is The Macallan 1946 Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Only twelve bottles were released, each costing about $460,000! The scotch has been matured for sixty-two years before being bottled at cask strength.
There's Diva Vodka which boasts a diamond-shaped bottle that contains pure wheat vodka filtered through ice and Nordic birch charcoal using an ancient Nordic recipe from Finland. Each bottle costs approximately $1 million!
These expensive alcohol brands may not be accessible to everyone but they do provide a glimpse into how far people would go for luxury goods like these exquisite drinks.

Head-Canon: Ikesen Warlords as drinks
Premise: Nobody asked for this, but Mitsuhide just occurred to me, and wouldn’t shut up until I thought about everyone else too. The Ikesen Warlords and their signature drinks.
Rating: Jalapeno (See Masterlist for rating descriptions)
Oda Forces
Nobunaga - Old Fashioned. Strong dark liquor, a lot of sugar, and a boozy cherry. Honestly, it kind of sounds like a recipe for Nobunaga himself, doesn’t it?
Hideyoshi - Mint julep. Light, refreshing, and at its best when the ingredients are a little bruised.
Mitsunari - A cocktail invented by a friend of mine back in college, the Green. Make your standard vodka screwdriver, but replace ⅓ to ½ of the vodka with Blue Curacao. The result is a beautiful pale green drink with a gentle sweet citrusy flavour and no kick whatsoever.
Mitsuhide - Long Island Ice Tea, because when properly made the alcohol can’t be tasted until you’re on your ass.
Masamune - The Iced Ginger and Green Tea Mocktail. For when you know you can’t hold your booze, but water is just no fun. The green tea and mint are delicious, and the ginger gives it a serious kick. It may not be alcoholic, but there is nothing bland about this drink.
Ieyasu - Bloody Caesar. Spicy - and the clam/clamato makes it a very acquired taste, just like our porcupine!
Uesugi-Takeda Forces
Kenshin - Vodka, neat. Kenshin has no time or desire to be anything other than what he is. (Also, I store my vodka in the freezer, and he just looks like winter.)
Shingen - Sangria, the preferred beverage of hot and heavy summer nights on patios. Bold, sweet, fruity, and designed to be shared.
Sasuke - Isn’t really the cocktail type; rather, he’s stable, reliable, and adaptable for all occasions, making him a solid pint of wheat beer or lager. He’d never be an IPA; the current trend for aggressiveness hoppiness would make him stand out far too much.
Yukimura - Here’s your IPA. Yukimura’s not the cocktail type either, but blending in isn’t his forte.
Yoshimoto - French 75. Dastardly strong, but elegant AF.
Wildcards
Kennyo - An Islay scotch, probably Laphroaig. It’s a little like drinking a campfire. Another very acquired taste, the flavour of a scotch that’s seen some shit.
Ranmaru - A slutty Cuba Libre.
Okay, I guess I do have to explain that one. A Cuba Libre is coke, lime, and rum. A virgin Cuba Libre is just a coke with a lime wedge (i.e.: what most restaurants will give you if you just order a coke). There was an episode of the The Big Bang Theory back when it still had redeeming qualities in which Penny was bartending and insisted on making the boys cocktails. Sheldon, not being a drinking man, got around this requirement by ordering a virgin Cuba Libre.
Later in the episode it became apparent that those Cuba Libres were pretty slutty.
Anyways, Ranmaru appears to be all sugar and spice, but it’s lurking in there, man.
Motonari - Screech. Because he is precisely the sort of asshole to make you kiss a cod for the lulz.

New look, same cans. Brewery Oskar Blues announces a brand refresh.
Press Release
Tumblr media
Longmont, Colo. … Dale’s Pale Ale just scored new duds. Oskar Blues Brewery introduces a fresh look for Dale’s and its entire lineup of adventure-crushing, boundary-stomping craft beers. A pioneer in the craft beer space, Oskar Blues was the first brewery to cram craft beer into a can in 2002, starting with Dale’s Pale Ale, the Original Craft Beer in a Can. In its first major design update in over a decade, Oskar Blues has combined its iconic imagery with a clean, bold new system. New packaging is now being distributed nationwide.
“Since the very beginning, we’ve focused on liquid innovation and making the freshest, biggest, most stoke-worthy beers for our fans,” said Oskar Blues Soul-Founder Dale Katechis. “And now the packaging is just as fresh as the beer.”
All Oskar Blues packaging is new in 2020, including cans, secondary packaging and the brewery’s logo. The new look embodies the spirit of Oskar Blues - bold, brash, inspiring - with stars and stripes emblazoned on each can, flanking a badge brewery logo. The badge, a seal-of-adventure, retains the funky font stylings of Oskar Blues’ beginnings, locked within a crest of craft beer credibility. The new system puts a modern twist on enduring design elements to create cohesion across the lineup, while still allowing each beer its own unique character.
Dale’s Pale Ale, The Original Craft Beer in a Can, debuted in 2002. Packaging a bold, hoppy pale ale in a can was unprecedented, earning Dale’s Pale Ale an enduring place in the history of craft beer. Dale's Pale Ale was called “Best Pale Ale” by the New York Times in 2005 and one of the “Best Canned Beers to Drink Now” by Esquire in 2012. The new-look Dale’s Pale Ale embraces its all-American identity in bolder-than-ever red, white and blue, and is stylistically called out for the first time as an “American Pale Ale.”
Mama’s Little Yella Pils has been reimagined with retro 1970’s vibes that affirm the drinkability of this Czech-style pilsner from sunrise to sunset and vice-versa. Old Chub Scotch Ale returns to its roots as a malt-forward, tartan-sporting ale for public houses everywhere. G’Knight Imperial Red IPA honors the story of real-life legend Gordon Knight (brewer, friend of Oskar Blues, and hero firefighter) with a forested backdrop of vibrant green.
On the innovative side of the lineup, the Can-O-Bliss IPA series cans project psychedelic amounts of hop oils in a heady swirl to highlight premier hop varieties that appear throughout the series. This month, the series will transition from Can-O-Bliss Citrus IPA to Can-O-Bliss Tropical IPA, a tropical paradise in a can made with Mosaic, Azacca, Galaxy, El Dorado and Idaho 7 hops.
Newcomers One-y 100 Calorie Hazy IPA and Rosé for Daze Rosé Ale hit shelves in 2019 with the new design format. A hopped-up event horizon surrounds a utilitarian black hole on the One-y can - a hint at the cosmic brewing wizardry required to pack a massive payload of hops into a 100-calorie spaceship. The petal pink of the Rosé for Daze can matches the spritzy, rosé-inspired beer inside.
Oskar Blues Brewery’s design update offers a bold new look with the same righteous attitude that the maker of the Original Craft Beer in a Can has been known for all along. New packaging is rolling out now.
About Oskar Blues Brewery Founded by Dale Katechis in 1997 in Lyons, Colorado, Oskar Blues Brewery launched the craft-beer-in-a-can apocalypse with their hand-canned flagship brew, Dale’s Pale Ale. Today, Oskar Blues operates breweries in Colorado, North Carolina and Texas featuring Dale’s Pale Ale as the nation’s #3 top-selling craft can six-pack at U.S. supermarkets. Oskar Blues is available nationwide in the US and in over 20 countries. Oskar Blues Brewery is a proud member of CANarchy, a disruptive collective of like-minded craft brewers dedicated to bringing high-quality, innovative flavors to drinkers in the name of independent craft beer.
