This is a post that is probably not gonna be well recieved, but oh well lol. Gotta let these things out too.
I miss Moon, and I meant the Old one. He was a funky character, even if he had many faults. The fact that his final wish came true, a version of him that would treat Sun better, in the form of New Moon, makes it a little bittersweet.
I'm ultimately happy Old Moon can rest, and that New Moon got the chance to live, because he's a sweety who deserves good things, and does not deserve the stress he is placed under thanks to certain forces.
But alas, this is time to go down memory lane, cuz I've been seeing people hate on Old Moon, and while yeah sure he did terrible things, he was ultimately not the monster New Moon and some fans make him out to be.
Because whenever I see someone say Old Moon was never a good brother, I sometimes begin to think if we've watched the same show or not. Yeah, he was more times a questionable brother than not, but he did have his fair share of sweet moments, even if the circumstances, which lead to his bitterness, hatred and depression, rarely let such softness shine through.
Remember how in the first SCP video, which was in VRCHAT, when Sun ran through the Tesla gate, Moon immediately went "Good job brother"? Or when later in the same video, after looking at SCP-096 or 'Shy guy', when it starts going into it's murderous rage, Sun's panicking, and Moon says: "Brother, brother! I'm okay! It's okay! Brother, I'm here!"?
Remember when Eclipse first appeared, in the "Sun and Moon TRANSFORM into ECLIPSE in VRCHAT", Sun quietly asked if he was going to die, and Moon immediately went: "No, no! Out of anything, I won't let that happen!"? He offered to go back, to be back to square one in the same body, which we know is basically his worst trauma, because he didn't want his brother to die. His brother being alive, was more important to him, than his own freedom.
Remember when in the Wither Storm Saga 3rd episode, when Moon's in a panic about the bomb not killing the Wither Storm, Sun calms him down, and brings up how the book can be used for something else probably, and how that leads to Moon figuring the solution out WITH Sun, both leading one another? Remember how Moon said to Sun: "You tiny little genius!"? How sweet he sounded while doing it?
Remember when in the lore video directly after the Wither Storm Saga, how Moon said if he ever gets into an episode like Beta-10 again, that Sun get someone else immediately, because he doesn't want to hurt Sun?
Remember when in the video "Eclipse TRAPPED Sun and Moon in The BACKROOMS! in VRCHAT" the light suddenly went out, and Sun went into a panic, the way Moon gently guides his brother towards the light? Calmly and softly saying "Over there, over there"?
Remember when in the video "The DEATH of SUN and MOON in VRCHAT", how Moon just quietly says "I don't wanna lose you"? Or when he cuts off an anxious and unsure Sun, to say "I love you too brother"? When he says to Eclipse in front of Sun, "You are gonna take away the only thing, the only person I care about"? When he says that Lunar isn't fighting him for control, because he knows the moment Sun is gone, Moon will just give up? His quiet admitance that he did not want Sun to think less of him? How when he promises Sun, that he will get him back, they are holding hands? Something that Moon hates, and he will freely do for his brother, because his brother is more important than his own discomfort. Because even if he did mistakes, he loves Sun more than anything.
Was he perfect? No. No he wasn't. He did terrible things, for no reason at all at times. But he wasn't just a monster. He was a person placed in a terrible situation, with a code in his head telling him to do horrible things, and before KC, we did not know it was possible to go against one's nature, one's coding, one's very own being, and yet, Moon fought his killcode. He fought what was essentialy a loosing battle, and came out battered and bruised, with victories that were only temporary. But he still did it, because there was a person (later persons), who wanted him around. And because of that he made damn sure to fight his nature everytime.
Could he have been better? Yes.
Did he treat Sun terribly? At times yes!
Were some of his actions truly horrible? They were.
But was he a heartless monster, who cared for no one? No. No, he wasn't.
He was a person, trying to live, with everything stacked against him and his brother from the very begining. And he immensely fucked up. No question about that.
But he did care
(Sorry about the long, depressive post lol. Got into a mood, and wanted to get the depression off my chest for a bit. But yeah, I love this guy. He was funky. The New Moon is funky. Sun is funky. Lunar is funky. KC is funky. Eclipse is funky. Ruin is funky. Bloodmoon is funky. New Bloodmoon (I call that one Harvest(moon), and yes, I differentiate between them, cuz they be different. sue me) is funky. Earth is funky. Solar is funky. Solar Flare is funky. Everyone is funky. And I love them all.)

A Ghost Of A Man (PART SIX)
Summary: The reader has to make an important decision, will she listen to the old lady's words and follow through on the mysterious way to save Tommy's life?
Warnings: Language, supernatural themes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
" I hate him" were the first words that came out of your mouth as you stood outside the old lady's door, unspent tears filling your eyes.
"Oh my dear, come on, come on in" she said knowing you could only be talking about one man." Sit down my lovely, I will make you some tea" she said as she guided you to a small sofa in front of a burning fire.
Sitting down on her floral cushions you looked into the crackling flames, your hands now slowly warming up from the heat of the orange glow.
" Did you walk here?" The old lady said as she sat down next to you handing you a cup of warm tea.
" I missed my bus" you said tearfully, as you took the hot porcelain cup from her. Tea you thought to yourself, the go to remedy for all British emotional ailments, offered immediately when one is in turmoil, it's effectiveness completely useless on you, if only she had something stronger.
" What happened dear?"
" I don't know" you answered, still confused about the nights events. " I went back to the abandoned offices.. I've been visiting Tommy almost everyday ever since, everything had been going fine until tonight" you added as you started to brush away the tears." He was in a mood not long after I got there. Then I told him I had found some information that could help him for when he goes back. And that's when everything changed. He got so angry" you tearfully said as you rubbed one of your sore arms.
" He hurt you?" She asked watching you soothe yourself.
" He was furious with me... I, I don't think he realised how hard he was grabbing my arms" you replied unknowingly defending his actions.
A look of surprise flashed across the elderly ladies face only to be quickly replaced by one of fury, she was deeply angered by Tommy's actions.
" I am so sorry dear, I never thought he would... she said unable to finish her sentence as she let out a defeated sigh. " You have grown close to eachother?" She asked as she took your hand in hers.
" We have...well I mean, I thought we had" you said as you felt comforted by her gentle touch. " I wanted to help him, he took it so wrong. He said that I didn't want him to come back, but that's not true... I don't want him to go" you said completely breaking down, your emotions overtaking you. Sighing the elderly lady held your hand tighter.
" Tommy is a difficult man to deal with at the best of times" she said as she looked out the window into the night sky. " I'm not defending his behaviour dear, but there could be reason why he acted the way he did tonight" she added as she motioned at you to look out the window. "A full moon lights up the sky" she said as she watched you look out the window, confusion on your face as you tried to figure out what she was referring too"
" A full moon?" You questioned not understanding the correlation.
" We are closely connected to the lunar cycle" she said "Spirits even more. During a full moon emotions, feelings, dreams are all amplified. It's powerful in gypsy magic" she added as her aging finger pointed out the window. "The veil between our world and the spirit world is thinner, it leaves room for us to practice the unknown"
" His emotions and feelings. Feelings about what?" You asked naively.
" About you" she said with a smile.
" That man has no feelings" you said defiantly as you took a sip of tea, swallowing it harshly. Darting your eyes across the room you attempted to avoid her stare as she continued to smile at you. She knew you shared those same feelings that had begun to develope in Tommy, whether you had realised it yourself yet, she did not know.
" He will be going back tonight " she said as she looked back at the window patting your hand then letting go as she held onto her necklace." Would you still help him, if you could?" she asked as she stood up and walked over to the old cupboard picking up a black and white photo of a young girl.
" It's too late" you said as you watched her brush her fingers over the picture.
" What if I told you, you could go back?"
" I don't understand" you said as you furrowed your brow.
" Do you remember the first time you was here, I asked if you believed?" She questioned you as she placed the photo frame back down.
" Yes" you quietly responded.
" And now you do?" She asked turning to face you. You shifted in your seat nodding. You did believe, how could you not anymore.
" We are gypsy, Tommy goes back through the use of gypsy magic. You could too? She said sitting back down next to you.
" Go back where?" You asked, feeling increasingly baffled.
" Back to him. Back to 1922?"
A small laugh escaped your lips " What?" You scoffed in confusion as you stood up from the sofa " Look, the realm maybe thin and easily manipulated for him, but I'm not a gypsy, I'm not dead!" you said crossing your arms looking bewildered. Ghosts, spirits the supernatural you had begun to believe, but time travel... this was starting to get ridiculous.
" Gypsy or not, it does not matter. You are connected to him, your souls intertwined. Both drawn to eachother through time and space, don't you feel it...he does" she said standing up as she urgently tried to get to you.
" Look, this has been interesting. Thank you for the tea and for the welcome but I should really get going" you said sighing with laughter, tired having had enough of the disastrous day. " Connected, intertwined" you mumbled under your breath as you walked to the front entrance.
" That gold pocket watch in your coat pocket, connects you" she said reaching her hand out to you just as you went to open her front door. Turning around your eyes widened as you put your hand into your coat pocket, swallowing harshly as you grabbed hold of the small watch. " You need to go back to him Y/N, your running out of time" she said pressingly in fear that you would walk out the door.
" H..how, do you know i have his watch, how do you know my name?" you stuttered out. Walking to you she cupped your face in her hands.
" I have known you my whole life" she said as tears formed in the corners of her eyes.
" Who are you? " You said as you narrowed your eyes. Smiling she let go of your cheeks.
"You don't have much time left Y/N, you need to help him, Tommy needs you. If you don't go to him everythi..." she said panicking, unable to finish her sentence, as she started to lose her balance. Alarmed you quickly held her up, and walked her to the round table in the middle of the room. You held her hand watching the worry in her eyes as she quietly wept. Her words were urgent, like her whole life her whole being depended on it. You felt so sorry for the frail elderly lady that sat before you, her state of distress evidently your fault.
It was morning when you eventually stepped out the old lady's home. You ended up falling asleep on her sofa. You insisted on staying, you was worried about her, worried she would have another dizzy spell. You felt unbelievably guilty that you had been the one to cause her to feel so much distress. She told you what to do the words to say, you politely nodded reassuring her that it was ok, and to not worry. But you could tell she was scared, scared you wouldn't listen to her that you didn't believe her, she repeated the instructions to you over and over again until they were engraved into your memory, insisting that you only had until sunset, the veil being at its thinnest until darkness covered the sky once more.
Walking away from the old ladies house you felt dazed, you didn't know where to go or what to do. If she was right if you could go back to help, did you even want to? He frightened you last night more than he ever had, what had gone so wrong? Walking along the roads you found yourself heading back into town, all of a sudden you recognised where you was. Turning the corner you looked up at the old abandoned offices, you was back. What if she was wrong, what if he was still there, you felt an unbearable urge to find out. Slipping through the fences you apprehensively opened the large wooden door. Taking a deep breath you started walking up the stairs.
" Tommy" you called out as you walked into the empty room. " Tommy!" You called out once again. No response. You nervously walked over to his office, opening the door you frantically scanned the room. His leather chair empty, the smell of tobacco and whiskey no longer filled the voided space, the chilling coldness in the air absent. He was gone. For a moment you just stood there as you looked out the window, your eyes filling with tears as you pulled at your coat sleeves trying to comfort yourself. You may have entered his world and turned it upside down, but he had done just the same to you. Sunlight filled the room as you leaned against the wall, you watched as dust particles floated through the rays of light. Looking down at the old wooden desk something caught your eye as it shined in the glistening sunlight. Walking closer you recognised it immediately. Laying delicately on the old wood was your gold locket. Gasping, you picked it up, tightening your grip around it. He had left it, left it there for you. As tears rolled down your cheeks you opened your hand and looked down at the delicate little locket nestled in your palm, in that moment it felt like time had stopped, your thoughts forever turning like the dials of a clock, until, all of a sudden your feet acting faster than your brain had you walking rapidly to the stairs and out the building. You didn't know if what the old lady said was going to work, you didn't even know if it was true, but you had nothing to lose, you was going to try to go back, back to 1922, back to Tommy.
You figured you had everything you needed already with you, so, you made your way to the location the elderly lady told you to go. Walking along the street you caught your reflection in a window and stopped. You may have looked ok for 2023 but you hardly looked like someone from a hundred years ago. Turning around you headed straight into Birmingham city center. You needed to find an outfit that would not have you sticking out like a sore thumb in Small Heath 1922. With that in mind you made your way to a charity shop in hope to find something more appropriate to wear. You didn't have time to waste so you quickly searched through a rack of clothes. You pulled out a long cotton maroon skirt. You was in luck because the next hanger had its matching jacket. You had a white embroidered blouse at home that you could wear underneath, one less thing for you to worry about. Deciding to forgo a hat, all you needed now was a pair of boots and a bag. After paying, you rushed to an antique shop you often visited in your free time. Heading to the back where they stocked all items of clothing, you browsed through box after box of shoes. Finally, you fell upon a pair of black boots that laced up at the front, one size to small it was going to be an uncomfortable squeeze but you didn't have any other option, picking them up you walked over to the bags. One caught your eye straight away. It was beautiful, dark red with embroidered black flowers, a silver link chain finishing it off. Not even looking at the price you picked it up and made your way to the front desk. Just as you did you walked past a small bag of money, opening it up you realised it was a bag of king George shillings, today's money would be useless in the 1920s, so with that in mind you picked it up and added it to the pile of items already in your arm. Antiques are expensive and you waited patiently cringing internally as the shop worker totaled everything up for you. After paying, you walked out the shop door groaning at the extortionate price you had just paid for three items, you begrudgingly dragged yourself to the bus stop to make your way back home.
Sheepishly walking into your living room you expected to see your friend, but she wasn't there. She must have stayed over a Uni friends house for the night. You felt so guilty that you hadn't texted or called her last night to tell her you wouldn't make it. Pulling out a piece of paper and pen from the kitchen draw you started to write her a note, telling her how sorry you was, and that you would be going away for a while to clear your head. You couldn't exactly tell her your real plan, she would think you had truly lost it. Folding it in half you placed it on the kitchen table as you made your way to your bedroom to get ready. You left your black tights on from the night before and pulled on a white slip that you had found in your cupboard draw. While putting the rest of your clothes on you caught a glimpse of one of your arms. Tommy's red hand print visible on your pale delicate skin, a grim reminder of the night before, sighing you sat down to put your boots on. Not knowing what to do with your hair and now regretting not buying a hat you opened up your vanity draw and pulled out a black ribbon, tying half your hair up with it. Gingerly you walked over to your mirror. " My god, I look like my Nan" you said as you stared wide-eyed at your reflection. Turning around you picked up the small embroidered hand bag and placed the bag of shillings, your gold locket, Tommy's watch and the paper of information on Campbell inside. Walking over to the front door you stopped half-way. " Fuck, I can't go out looking like this" you said aloud running back to your room to throw your long black coat on.
In the bus on your way back to Small Heath, your worries were consuming you. What if this didn't work? What if it did work and Tommy pushed you away again? You had left on such a bad note, what if he was still angry with you? You swallowed sharply as your interlocked your sweaty hands, all of a sudden you had the urge to get off the bus and run back home, your nerves starting to get the better of you, but it was too late.
"Small heath" the conductor called out, startling you. After a few minutes you made your way to the front of the bus.
" Goodbye " you said as you stepped of the bus looking back at him like he was the last person you would see from the modern world ever again. Frowning at the odd girl now standing outside his bus, the conductor closed the doors and drove off, as you made your way down the street.
The roads were quiet this side of Small Heath, turning the corner you saw the panel for where you needed to be. " Small Heath Cemetery". Fitting, you thought when the elderly lady first told you your destination, you couldn't help but think you was going to your death. Her reasoning was, it was the quietest place in town, you didn't want to end up appearing in someone's front room all of a sudden while they were having their dinner. Walking up the hill you slowly opened the rusty metal gate as you then made your way up the the graveled path. You looked up at the graying sky above you, the swaying leafless branches creaking in the wind set your senses alive as you listened intently. Stopping you started to feel sick, something didn't feel right, you felt like someone was watching you. Glancing around at the eerie setting, you watched as dried leaves tumbled along the ground, slowly coming together in a heap alongside a large gray tombstone. All of a sudden the metal gate swung open crashing against the fence next to it, startling you. Turning around you expected to see someone there, but the path was empty. A large gust of wind then passed through you, pushing you forward further up to the top of the cemetery..." Go child" you heard a woman whisper in your ear in a voice you did not recognise, you spun around panicked, something was here. Stumbling you walked forward, clutching your coat around you as heat rose in your fearful face. You came to a stop as you took out Tommy's pocket watch from your bag. A chill encircled you, someone was walking around you observing your every move, waiting for you to take the next step. With shaking hands you took off your long black coat and placed it behind an old wooden bench. Holding Tommy's watch in your hand you tried to turn the small knob, but your uncontrollable shivering was making the task impossible, that was until you felt a cold pressure over your thumb, you watched on in astonishment, as the dials under the glass turned the time to 19h22, what was happening?, was it Tommy?...it couldn't be, it was a woman's voice you heard. You tried to remember the words the old lady told you, but your fear and nerves of whatever was beside you was making you uneasy. "Take me there to where I wish..." you heard the gentle voice whisper once again. Snapping your heard up to nothing you started to panic, was your mind playing tricks on you in your altered state of fear? Swallowing harshly you closed your eyes and thought of Tommy, in a shaky voice you said the words,
"Take me there to where I wish, I give my hand, I won't resist.
Withhold my soul and deliver me forth, to a time from once before.
Now heed these words, and hear me clear, send me back to whom i hold so dear"
A flash of light appeared in front of your eyes. A woman was standing before you, her dark curled hair pinned up away from her face, a fur coat covering her shoulders. Your eyes focused in as you started to make out her features, before you could move closer she reached out her hand and pushed you backwards onto the grass...
" Go to him "

I heard about an fnaf au with Solar and Moon being a couple, is that true??
What will the story of the au be about? What would the relationship between Solar and Moon be like? and how will Sun react to this game of passion??
I'm already getting invested in this ship😊🤭
Lol. It's not really a story I'm making. You can't read it anywhere yet. Who knows, I don't know if I'll make a fic based on this concept or not... but never say never.
I talked about it a bit more detail in here along with other links
It's just more of an RP scenario I'm playing with my friends. So there's no real story outside of just imagining Pining and smooching. There's no concrete Au but one might develop later.
I just give it the title of "AU" cause I don't want people coming in my inbox like "but are they cousins????" Cause, lol to me they're not, and I've talked about the loosely defined relationships of the robots before many a time.
To clarify, when I ship Solar and Moon I did before the 'cousin' relationship was clearly defined, and I don't see them as cousins. Okay? Okay???? We cool? We Cool.
But basically,
Solar has developed feelings for Moon. He probably has when back he first met him, and they've just been growing more since his memories have wiped and Moon has become chiller, and kinder.
Has very "as you wish" Princess Bride feels with Moon you know what I'm saying?
Not many people would rebuild an entire daycare in a Day.... how much can he pay back for this Moon. He gave him a place to stay, and saved him from his own Moon. (me and my friends call Solar Dimension's Moon "Asshole Moon" for simplicity's sake)
Solar was willing to sacrifice his life for everything. To Stop Eclipse once and for all. The Eclipse that hurt Lunar.... but he did this.... Not just for Lunar, but for this Moon in another dimension he doesn't even know and his whole family.
Solar hates his Moon. He even admits to hating Moons, and the worst sides of Moon, like Bloodmoon for example, remind him of his Moon, and he even calls Moon out when he's acting like Asshole Moon. .........Solar's attempted Sacrifice to let Moon kill Eclipse is a pretty big deal.
And Moon refused to let that happen. Even if it was of no consequence to him. Moon tries to justify it in that, he just can't see another person get hurt... But think.
Think for a few seconds, and think about how I thought of it at the time, and still do.
Reframe that.
He couldn't see SOLAR get hurt.
Couldn't see Solar sacrifice himself for him. He pushed him into that dimension as the only way to save him. Solar was justifiably mad, and even angrier when Moon told him after the fact Lunar might possibly be alive. He understands why Moon did it...
And a few weeks later, once he realizes all hope for his dimension, and having the love and warmth and family he gets from Lunar and Moon will be something he will never have here... and Sun will never be the same again...
He left.
Showed up at Moon's dimension like a sobbing wet cat, like "I have nowhere else to go"
Solar is also one of the firsts to Accept NewMoon as he is as a new person, he listens to Moon complain about Sun missing his old brother, and gives him perspective.
As far as the AU goes.... Solar is pining hard... and he doesn't want to break the friendship he has with this Moon. It's something special to him.... And he knows Moon, well, Old Moon was aroace and he doesn't know if that still applies. He doesn't want to test his boundaries. He would hate to see Moon mad or worse, reject him.
He is content (he's not) for now, building Moon things, making him things, building for him and caring about him. As long as he can stay here.
It's only others taking notice of his pining heartbreak, which he keeps under wraps until it becomes way more noticeable... that others give him a push. Because Solar was ready to take this to the grave with no one ever possibly knowing.
Moon also realizes he likes spending time with Solar, and he likes his snarky sense of humor, and is more surprised about the feelings, but is willing to test the waters on this, if it just means spending more time with him..
As far as how Sun reacts to Solar and Moon's budding relationship..... Eclipse has been his willing sex slave locked in his room secretely for a month at that point so he hadn't noticed.
As far as when this all takes place?
I'm guessing somewhere around the time Eclipse 'died'
But in this au, he survived broken and destroyed and crawled out of the portal like a banshee out of rage and spite and was ready to murder every single celestial animatronic he saw, but had no star power and was too weak to do anything.
Sun just kept him in his room because he didn't know what to do with him, was hesitant to tell Moon the plan didn't work, because now Sun was seeing how pathetic Eclipse actually is, and he doesn't think he wants to kill another person again. So broken Eclipse just kinda stays in Sun's room for a good while.... until Sun slowly starts to repair him (with limited functionality due to lack of resources, he doesn't trust him, and isn't as skilled as Moon, especially without access to parts and service.)
Cue the banter of hateful teasing transformed into flirting and... there you go.
Eclipse won't talk about the past with Sun. He won't. That will take years for him to explain this whole deal. So it's more of a mutually beneficial relationship for them....as they say

sams- is Eclipse mad Solar is Dead? is Eclipse healing? This is a ramble, may have errors and not make much sense but wanted to let it out maybe is me but.. I think Eclipse is also pissed off Solar died.. something on how he says it over and over, is not even to Just mock Moon, try to make him angry like is hold self would.. at first? sure - "isnt he the reason Solar died?" was asked in a more mockery tone.. but as the video keeps up, something on his voice just seems off.. and I know damn well davis KNOWS how to act with his voice, most times his tones arent a mistake.. no no he's been doing this for a long time now.. he knows.. but I feel he maybe does miss Solar? apparently they used to talk? in Eclipse has Returned…ALREADY!!! in VRChat- in the last moment Eclipse mentions Solar can and is better! he can do so much. Maybe is proyecting himself, maybe is hoping to get an ally? maybe .. just maybe he is deeply jelous on how Solar got more lucky and got Moon to see him as an equal.. something any OG fan know was the first thing Eclipse wanted from Moon.. old Moon.. YET also, had him hoping he could learn from Solar? he is mad the person who is supposed to be his better self is now dead, and he doesnt even get to revenge him and himself for now being left without purpose.. AGAIN ok hear me out, as much co co he's been so far. at moments Eclipse seems to actually understand he is the bad guy and seems to regret it, at times he admists he never HATED Lunar- we can assume he was mad for be backstab and thats it- at times he acts like he NEVER cared but soon that mask slip off.. is it wild to assume Eclipse is mad Solar is gone because he maybe finally found someone "like him" but not like him ? an Eclipse- a mistake- a broken AI but who got lucky? and this dude does listen to him and is kinda the reason Moon didnt do worst things ? idk why- I get the odd feeling the more Eclipse mentioned Solar death. it was more in angry tones - when Ruin mentions his data could be usefull, Eclipse does stop to listen- yet soon does attempt to kill him and is here when he does mentions in more angry tones Ruin is the reason Solar is dead.. is odd how is THAT the reason he is mad is not even
"this IDIOT bring be back to do THIS STUPID PLAN!" not a "he play me like a chess piece , just for this idiotic plan!" is odd for me- Eclipse was mad he was back alive- used like a puppet but when faced to the man itself- this motive is slighty pushed away ....... maybe is also how Moon is acting that also set him off? as much eye roll he does to Moon, maybe is him having to hear a bit of reality check that finally makes him NOT kill Ruin - he does finally LISTEN to Moon and does as told of course he will be pissy sassy bastard everytime they talk- he not only is the personality copy, he hold memories too.. at least few enough to hold some anger to Moon, specially after that therapy, Eclipse maybe still dealing with his old wounds .. but as much shit talk he does , he seems to be more open to listen to Moon. and eventually do as told without much fight.. there IS a Change- SLOW- and I want it this way.. so slow may be hard to see but is there..

OH GOD, EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING, EVERYTHING'S GOING ON-
I AM SCREAMING, KICKING, CRYING, RUNNING UP MY WALLS, DRAMATICALLY THROWING MYSELF ON THE GROUND AND WAILING-
FIRST SAMS FUCKING PUNCHES AND KNOCKS ME TO THE GROUND, AND THEN MGAFS GIVES ME THE FINISHING BLOW- FUCK EVERYTHING-
OH GOD, WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN-
First of all, we finally reunited with old Moon…BY GOD, DID I MISS THIS SNARKY BASTARD- I am so happy, to see him again!!! He's so nonchalant and blunt, especially towards people outside of his family- It makes me so nostalgic!! His similarlities to Eclipse are clearer than ever, honestly!
Everything about it just makes me so emotional, I can't even begin to describe it-
He's on that same old beach where he gave up his life, the same old beach where he showed empathy and compassion more than ever before, the same damn old beach where he was the more selfless than he'd ever been- It is making me sick to my stomach/pos
He still loathes himself so much, still looks down on himself and his mistakes. He has never been able to let go of it, he'll always hold on to the mistakes he made. One of these mistakes is leaving a part of his code behind, which in turn created Eclipse. His hatred for him comes from the hatred of himself, because Eclipse is the embodiment of everything he hated in himself.
But even though he hates himself, even though he buried himself underneath a mountain of mistakes, he will never regret protecting his family. He has always been a big brother, always been a protector, no matter what! Even after everything, they are the only thing on his mind. I'm going to fucking cry, man-
God, he adores them so much! Everytime he talked about them, I teared up!
He adores and treasures Sun with all of his heart, and only wishes for him to be safe and sound and happy! He knows his brother, knows he's blaming himself, and wants so badly to put a stop to it! But he can't, because that would involve a conversation, and he cannot bare to hurt him more than he already has.
He wants to thank Monty, who has been his emotional support, his best friend. Old Moon is anti-social, apathetic towards anyone outside of his family, even another version of himself, yet Monty got through to him, time and time again. Monty, in their own right, was family too! The two of them always got each other out of the gutter.
God, when he talked about Lunar and Earth, I legit started to cry a little-
He always wanted a sister. He always wanted a little brother. He wished he could've met them, wished he could've gotten to know them, wished to have loved them as much as he loved Sun!
He did know Lunar, but he never had the chance to truly get to know them. Everything he said about them is honestly just so sweet, and shows old Moon beyond his shell.
They were just a kid in a shitty situation, made with a purpose they never wanted.
Old Moon has a hard time caring for others, yet he looked at this child, who needed help and guidance, and took them underneath his wing without hesitation. Tragically, though, he always kept his distance. I don't think, he quite saw, how much they looked up to him. He always kept them at arms length, because he had hurt one brother, and was afraid to hurt another, afraid to open his heart. Yet, despite this distance, he would've ripped Eclipse apart for what he did, without mercy.
God, I can only imagine what his dynamic with everyone would've been like, especially with Earth, who is so incredibly different from him!
Old Moon is such an intriguing character to look at! Especially with how obviously different he is from New Moon!
I want to analyze him so bad, but my brain just won't cooperate👀
I'm really glad, New Moon got his reassurance though, and even learned from Old Moon, it seems!
Now, as for MGAFS….NO, GOD NO, PLEASE EVERYTHING BUT THIS-
THEY WEREN'T JUST SEPARATED- THEY WERE PERMANENTLY TORN APART, NEVER TO REUNITE AGAIN- THEY CAN'T DO THIS, I CAN'T HANDLE THIS-
BLOODMOON'S REACTION TO HIS BROTHER'S DEATH- HE TRIED SO HARD TO KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE, BUT THE MOMENT THEY TRIED TO LEAVE, HE STARTED YELLING- HE HAS NEVER BEEN ALONE, ALWAYS ONE HALF OF A WHOLE. NOW HIS OTHER HALF IS GONE, AND HE IS ALONE, AND HE WILL NEVER BE WHOLE AGAIN-
I ALSO READ YOUR INTERPRETATION OF BLOODMOON'S LAST LINE, AND IT HAS BROKEN ME- THEY COULD'VE BEEN GOOD. THEY COULD'VE BEEN FRIENDS. THEY JUST DIDN'T WANT TO BE CHANGED, DIDN'T WANT TO BE LIKED AS SOMEONE THEY'RE NOT. THEY JUST WANTED TO BE THEMSELF, YET THEY NEVER WOULD'VE BEEN ACCEPTED THAT WAY-
XERO, WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME-
-Stardust
YESSSSSYESYEYSES I DIDN'T TALK MUCH ABT THE TSAMS EP BC I GOT SO DISTRACTED BY MGAFS BUT EVERYTHING U SAID FOR REAL !!!!!! THE BEACH AND THE CONVO THEY HAD AND AAUAGGGHH
I was honestly so worried that there was going to be a sudden change in how Old Moon acted but seeing him just still wholeheartedly be him made me experience sooo many emotions. Like u said, the similarities between him and Eclipse are just wholly on display and it's like,, oh yea! you are who he stems from!
AND YEAH ALL HIS SENTIMENTS ABT MONTY + SUN + THE BROTHER N SISTER HE NEVER GOT TO KNOW. BURSTS INTO TEARS!!!!! For how little people he cared about, he made up for in caring about that small handful of people with his whole entire soul, even if that care could be convoluted and confusing and ultimately hurtful, he never wanted it to be like that. He just wanted the best :(
AND THEN THE LAST MESSAGE FOR NEW MOON AUGHHH I CAN'T EVEN. DIES EVERYWHEREEEE
AND THEN MGAFS. FUCK. I KNOWWWW I KNOW I KNOW IT FUCKED ME UP SO BADDD. THE FINAL BLOODMOON'S DESPERATE YELLING AT THE END FUCKED ME UP EVEN WORSE TO TOP IT ALL OFF I CAN'T EVENNNN.
AND SHAKES YOU SHAKES YOU THEY COULD HAVE BEEN SO EASY TO ACCOMMODATE FOR IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!! THEY WANTED CONTROL OVER THE ONE THING THAT IMPACTS THEM THE MOST, OF COURSE THEY WOULD HAVE DENIED ANYTHING ELSE!!!! THEY COULD HAVE HAD IT ALLLLL AAAAOAUHGHHHH

What is going on with Eclipse?
He's different, changed, and set to square one all over again. All his growth? Poof.
Well, my theory is this isn't the Eclipse that died. I'll explain under the cut, and also touch on if this is the Eclipse that died, and how it might work.
Why do I think that?
He is audibly confused when Sun and Moon talk about him getting blown up. That's my main reason.  Other reasons are the fact that he has lost almost all character growth Is upset about the star being gone Doesn't seem focused on the Astral Bodies and Lunar And acts like he's suffered a hugely personal grievance from the celestial twins
And, well, let's linger on the word act. He's an actor. He's acting. His words are strained, as if scripted. Playing a role he doesn't think fits... or isn't one for him to fill.
Our Eclipse was moving past that. And I've heard the theories on him being bitter because he was blown up but... apparently, he doesn't remember that.
So who is he?
We've got a few ideas here
The first thought is, this is the Eclipse. Yeah. THE Eclipse. The original. The one that was blasted from Sun's mind. Remember that conversation? It went something along the lines of:
"I said queso, not keso!" "You said what?!" "I mean, it worked? He's gone." "He's either dead or... immobile in the woods somewhere broken beyond repair."
If he's in the woods well... he'd have shut down. His processors would have failed. His body first overheating with the melting plastic, then going deathly cold as his vents and fans shut off one by one. However, as we know, broken beyond repair is not a real problem for animatronics. It's a setback. Lunar, Sun, Monty, Earth... all have been "broken beyond repair". What happens when they reach that state? Their AI is transferred to an entirely new body. Who would do that for Eclipse?
A few people, actually. The creator is the first to come to mind. The second is KC, who is now dead, but it's possible that with Eclipse ending up in the forest... and KC living in the forest, KC could have repaired him or begun to repair him. Especially with what we know about KC. He knows magic, he knows star power, and he came from old Moon, who was quite the techie. This would give us the option of Eclipse being made of materials that aren't entirely mechanical if that is the case.
The last person to come to mind is Ruin. Ruin was living in Moon's old bunkers with Bloodmoon for quite a bit, he visited a lot of the same places Eclipse had, and he's probably been in quite a few deserted areas where the OG Eclipse might have ended up in. He has an aptitude for tech, he built and programmed Bloodmoon, after all.
The second thought is a backup (AI and body). It's always possible that Moon missed something. As we've all noted, Eclipse seems to be on his first character arc again.
The third thought is a backup but in a different sense. Ruin takes play here again.
Remember when Ruin raided Moon's computer and found 'encrypted code left by Eclipse'? There's a possibility that Eclipse left a backup of his AI in the computer just like how he left the entirety of his Bloodmoon schematics in Moon's computer. Which seems careless, and makes one wonder why he would do that, or even when he would do that. And why the computer wouldn't have removed it. Well, if it's encrypted that means it's hidden. And we all know how big a fan of the show Ruin is, he probably knows alllll about Eclipse. So, he could have built Eclipse just like he built Bloodmoon. Or, even without a back up, could have done *exactly* what he did with Bloodmoon, pick and choose what parts to show a new Eclipse about who he was, leaving out bits that would alter the desired outcome.
The fourth thought. It's Ruin. Ruin built his new body, we have no idea what he added to it. Like I said earlier, "His words are strained, as if scripted. Playing a role he doesn't think fits... *or isn't one for him to fill.*" Plus, Ruin has been veryyy suspicious lately. "There's not cameras in here, is there? Oh wait, yes there are." And then the footage cuts out, did he dismantle the camera? Maybe. And if it's not Ruin himself, it's probably option 2 or 3 and Ruin is helping him. I have a feeling that Ruin didn't want them to come through the tunnels because Eclipse was hiding in them, watching the scene unfold. Eclipse does like to watch the chaos of his actions, this is a pattern with him.
The last thought. He could be the Eclipse that died. Unlikely, but it's possible. Dying is something *deeply* traumatic, and it could be repressed. Or he could be suffering amnesia. I talked in a different thread about the potential of Sun going comatose and that is what Eclipse saw when he told Moon "I have seen the future and sun will die" or whatever. When I talked about that, I touched on the amnesia aspect of a comatose state, in which the victims of such a state lose the recall ability of events that happened shortly before entering such a state without assistance in the matter. The longer the comatic state, the worse the recall ability, and the further the memory loss goes.
Other support with the idea that he could be the Eclipse that died in Solar's world, he didn't look like he wanted to move on. Flare walked out, Flare left, and I don't think we'll be seeing Flare again in the series as much as that hurts (I love Flare if you didn't know). Anyways, Flare left. Eclipse? Eclipse lingered, he didn't walk out of consciousness, he didn't leave, he just sat there as the darkness ate away at what was left of him.
In fact, rewatching that episode, I noticed something.
We see Moon press the button, the laser fires, and presumably, Eclipse explodes just like that. Except we go to the shared mindscape of Eclipse and Flare, and watch their final interaction. Flare walks away. Eclipse stays. I've always thought it weird that the mindscape was *clouds* unless the host of the mind makes a conscious effort to alter it (see KC) or requires a structured mind to be able to function properly (see Solar). Seems very... virtual. Like, maybe the digital 'cloud'. Uploading to the cloud? They are connected to the internet, they automatically connect to internet when available, and they've never needed to mess with passwords even if they are in an entirely new environment. So it's possible... it's possible that Eclipse lingered. Lingered and connected to the network in Solar's world, if we're going to go with the cloud idea.
But hey, that's just a theory.

It's late
Hi, yall. It's late, I need to go to bed, I need rest, and I just had a big day.
I miss Solar, a lot. And the old Moon and Lunar. Idk why, it just hurts tonight.
Uhhh I had a fanfic idea, because I heard the song Wet by Dazey and the Scouts. So, hear me out.
Eclipse, he had just gone through a breakup with Sun. (Insert dramatic lore and plot, how they got together, why they broke up)
So, he's sitting there, in his room, without Sun. Missing them, etc. Thinking about how pathetic he is and how he really doesn't need Sun.
Depression arc, ykykyk
But he can't stop thinking about how Sun made him feel loved. His personality, his mind, his body, etc. Yadadadadada.
So yeah, small idea, might flesh it out later.
I need to work on my original fic, but take a little drabble I wrote tonight:
(Slinking down into the floor, he inhaled sharply. The soft sounds of his mechanics only reminding him of how empty his room now was.
Stars did Eclipse miss him. The way he laughed, how he walked, talked, sung, blinked, moved, anything. Absolutely anything Sunrise did was...Fucking beautiful.
Sniffling, hot, building pressure continued to press harshly against his eyes. The warm, rushing fluid that worked as his blood seemed cold now. Long, lanky legs pulled up to his chest, head buried within his arms, he took another long 'breath.'
He wanted Sun to tell him that he was okay, that everything would work out. He wanted to be overstimulated with love, he wanted to he suffocated in their kisses and affection. He wanted to drown, to choke. To cry, to hide.
He wanted it more than anything. To be held again, to laugh with them.
Oh stars...They really, royally fucked this up, didn't they?
Trembling, he pulled at his rays, trying to find some kind of grounding. The smell of lemon cleaner, hand sanitizer, and sunnydrops were burned into sensors.
Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck- you weren't supposed to miss a person like this-? This was obsessive, creepy, not okay!
Well, damn, when was he ever okay?
Recoiling in on himself, he burned in shame. It was scorching, and searing. Melting through his dignity and right through his motherboard.
He was so fucked up without Sun.
It was a shame sun was better off without him.)
Boom. That was the thought. Idk what else to do, goodnight icecubes. <3

Sweet Torture
Diluc x Lumine
ft. Vampire Diluc
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Diluc almost regrets his decision to seek her out the moment he spots her in the distance. Like a fallen star that had settled on the bank of Cider Lake, Lumine sits by the sandy shoreline, her knees tucked up to her chest.
Her pale blonde hair shines in the moonlight, and if she were to turn her head he knows her golden eyes would gleam just as brightly too.
The winds turn, carrying her decadent scent in his direction and setting his hunger anew. His fangs ache for flesh, to sate the thirst that has nearly driven him to madness since the day he first met her.
Just one look, that’s all he gives himself. One look to sooth his foolish heart.
He closes his eyes and wills himself to turn away, to save himself the sweet torture of her company for one night.
“Master Diluc?”
He nearly bites back a groan as her voice calls out to him, a siren’s song he cannot fight.
He turns back to her with a cordial smile, slow measured steps bridging the distance between them.
“Miss Lumine, you’re out late tonight.”
“The moon’s full tonight,” She points out, “It’s said that a full moon can summon a mystical lunar fish, so I figured I’d give it a go.”
He notices then the fishing pole she has anchored beside her, the line nearly invisible in the dark. Lumine pats the ground beside her, and Diluc finds himself obeying her request.
“You know those stories are merely folktales,” He chuckles as she rolls her eyes. “The fish you catch at night are surely the same as the ones you catch in the day.”
“Only you could say something so boring,” She huffs, her eyes watching the lure bop across the water’s surface.
“And what would you do with this special fish?” Diluc humours her for a moment, if only to memorise the sound of her voice for the long daylight hours that were to come.
“Cook it, of course.”
“A tragic end.”
“Tragic? I think you mean tasty.”
Diluc can barely recall the last time his meals had not consisted of draining the blood from a hapless beast, but the old memories of hearty meals dull in comparison to the sweet scent of the woman beside him.
“I’ll have to take your word for it.”
Lumine raises a brow at him, though she does not comment. Silence settles between them, only broken by the gentle sound of water lapping against the shoreline, the rustle of the breeze catching in the reeds.
All the while, Diluc suffers.
Saliva pools in his mouth from her proximity alone, the pale expanse of her neck just within striking distance. Inviting him to taste, to devour–
“You must be a very busy man, Master Diluc,” Lumine muses lightly, her golden eyes twinkling with mischief.
He blinks, bats away the instincts clamouring for him to feed.
“Oh? And what makes you say that?”
“I never seem to catch you during daylight hours. I bet you’re holed up in meetings all day, dealing with stuffy old men and their stuffy old opinions, am I right?”
“It’s… something like that.”
She grins in that moment, radiating joy. He wants to capture that joy, bottle it up and keep it with him for all eternity, but he knows that is not how things work.
Diluc knows that a life by his side would only sap her of her beauty, her joy.
He could not bear to be the reason she no longer shone like the stars in the night sky. It was only cruel for creatures of the night to covet those who dance in the sun.
The desire to taste her blood turns to ash on his tongue.
“Keep your secrets then,” She laughs, her shoulder butting up against his own, “Though you can’t hide from me forever. I’m quite the detective, you know.”
The fish do not bite, but that does not seem to deter her. Neither can Diluc find it in himself to pull himself away.
Lumine yawns, her eyes drooping with exhaustion.
“Tell me when I hook something?”
Diluc closes his eyes as she nestles her head onto his shoulder, the scent of her lifeblood calling to him. She sags into him, her weight heavy as sleep takes her.
The lure bobs in the distance, and Diluc can only pray for a fish to bite. To save him from this prison of his own making.
This sweet, sweet torture.

(Sun and Moon Show Theory #4 :Ruin Will Get Reset)
This is basically an alternative to the last theory I posted.
Also, yes, I'm posting another post about Ruin, hush.
So, Ruin thinks he will die. He's made it quite obvious he wants to die and that he'd be at peace now that he has taken down the Creator Council. Tons of beings are going after him or just simply want him dead for what he did to all those dimensions. Yet he's somehow still alive just twiddling his thumbs in his cell (well, not even doing that since he can't move his thumbs-). By all accounts, Ruin thought he'd be dead now. Moon and Eclipse both wanted him dead pretty badly. Eclipse has wanted him dead for a while now and Moon did at first when he realized he'd been lied to. Yet he's still alive.
I feel like he's being kept around for a reason. Like, yeah, said the reason could simply be so that he goes out with a bang after some more angst, but I feel like there's a possibility he won't be killed off. I mean, Moon has said killing doesn't really solve anything since all their enemies seem to come right back like dandelions after you cut the lawn. Earth despises Ruin but does not want him dead. Sure, almost everyone else does, but I'm sure it'll come down to the celestial family being the ones to decide his fate.
Perhaps he'll still be alive in his cell when Solar himself is revived. If this does happen, it could possibly mean Solar may be the one who will decide his fate. From what we know about Solar, he isn't vengeful. He'd only kill Ruin if he believed him to still be a threat to everyone.
But there's a chance he won't be forgiven. There's an even bigger chance he doesn't want to be forgiven. Keep in mind Ruin lost everyone he loved long, long ago, and has made it his mission to avenge them and save other universes from suffering the same fate. He has made it clear that he misses them and doesn't believe he has any place in life anymore now that he has completed what he set out to do starting so long ago. He also struggles mentally with the things he had to do during that time, where he'd been forced to harm people under the guise of a persona in order to fit into his universe without being caught, stopped, and possibly killed before he could kill all the Creators he possibly could. So, yeah, even he himself doesn't want to exist due to his self-loathing and suffering.
Yet it wouldn't make sense for the protagonists to kill him now. He's at their mercy. Sun has already gone through hell after killing Bloodmoon and Moon himself believes killing doesn't solve anything. Lunar does too now and Earth always has and hopefully always will. She hates Ruin but would never wish death upon her worst enemy, it seems. Solar, if he were to be revived before Ruin woke up, wouldn't want to kill him. It wouldn't make sense for the protagonists to kill someone who is at their mercy (again, since they did it to Eclipse), right? Plus, they'd be giving him what he wants, which they would also not like very much.
Yet Ruin will never be trusted. They can't trust him after all his lies and the way he manipulated them time and time again, especially when he pretended to be their clumsy little harmless friend. Nothing he can do will ever regain their trust and he is quite aware of this. Nobody would ever, ever trust him or even like him as he is now, knowing what he has done and is capable of.
So what's the alternative?: A reset, similar to what Moon went through. He doesn't have to fully die but he doesn't have to live as he is either. He can start a new life without trauma and without judgement (mostly, as I'm sure there will be people still unforgiving and after him after what he has done, not caring about him being a different person). He can finally have the celestial family as his real family, with no trickery involved or needed. Moon said he was starting to see him as family and, in this case, Ruin could have a family. He wouldn't be tainted with memories of his old Creator and the world that was torn into pieces before his eyes.
After all, Ruin isn't evil by default. His default personality seems like it would be quite sweet. This means he wouldn't be dangerous after a reset. There's no need to kill someone who isn't a threat if you don't have to, right? It would make the most sense. Ruin himself would likely agree to this. Maybe he'd even need to think about it but I can see him ultimately agreeing to a reset and seeing it as a merciful option.
Anyway, here's my theory on what could happen!! If it doesn't happen...well, I'll write a fanfic about it. I like the idea a lot and it's a nice alternative to Ruin dying.

The family dynamics present in the Daycare group continue to fascinate me. Especially where the Creator is concerned.
The Creator has said outright how much he dislikes Sun and Moon--and they have always been clear in their reciprocation--yet he still calls them his sons even when he isn't putting up a front for Earth, and they still call him Dad. Which is very informal compared to how Earth continually calls him Father, even though they have an extremely close relationship. And I don't think it is a "respect" vs "disrespect" thing, because both are fairly respectful--especially considering that one time Sun told the Creator "die, old man!" (Which might have actually been on that visit where he first revealed Earth existed, come to think of it).
Anyways, I guess my point it that it is really interesting that Sun and Moon still seem to consider the Creator as "family" when the concept of disownment is not new to them--Old Moon, after all, told Sun that Lunar had completely disowned Eclipse during that first October takeover. And it isn't like Earth doesn't know that Sun and Moon dislike the Creator, and he has made it clear to her that he knows how they feel about him, even if he does seem to be hiding that he reciprocates those feelings, so I don't think she's what's stopping them from making any possible disownments official.
It probably isn't a big priority either way, and it isn't as if disowning him would actually make him stop messing with them in any capacity, but it still interesting to me.
As far as more pleasant family dynamics go, it was nice to see that Solar and Moon now have a close enough relationship that they were trying to collaborate together and help Earth like they were. Yes, they've obviously worked together before, and Solar did jump straight into helpfulness about five seconds after he permanently hopped dimensions... but this was a collaboration that wasn't specifically about either of their immediate physical safeties. And Moon was immediate in his acknowledgement of Solar being an equal and a valuable partner in when he said "two heads are better than one," not to mention that they both approached her together.
And, like... sure, other than that one time when Moon was really upset and worried over Earth being missing he hasn't been mean to Solar, and has actually been including him quite a bit in the typical familial teasing he extends to everyone, so it shouldn't exactly be surprising... but today just seemed to me like one of the final barriers between them caused by Solar's prior trauma with his Moon was falling down. If that makes sense.
Also, forgot to mention it before, but it was nice to hear Lunar specifically call Sun and Moon their brothers in the past few days. We already knew that, sure, as did Sun and Moon, but it's just been a while since they reaffirmed that. And that might have been the first time they actually called New Moon their brother directly to his face.
And it is nice that Earth finally got Solar to pin down where he wanted to be placed on the family tree. I had already been thinking about him as a cousin, so it was nice to see him agree!

I have to share this with you because I can no longer be silent about it!
Lunar's death left much bigger impact on Sun than most of you would ever thought. I'm not saying that to be rude or anything. But I really think that not many people realizes how many things hints that Sun misses Lunar dearly and he doesn't know how to deal with the loss (or he doesn't let himself to deal with it due to guilt and all those things that happen currently in their life).
This leads me to believe that Lunar will be very important to Sun's character arc. I really think that he'll hallucinate Lunar in near future, sooner or later.
I also have some thoughts on what all of it may lead to for Sun.. but I don't want to share this yet because of how crazy this idea is. And it's just might be a huge stretch on my part.
All of this reminds of the episode where Sun hallucinated Old Moon and Bloodmoon. This episode was the best so far because of how much it concatenated every aspect of Sun's character.
And that fragment hinting to Lunar! I had tears in my eyes 😭

Big Bend Chapter Twenty One - Scary Stories
Word count: 2185
Cw: angst, cursing
Chapter Twenty One: Angie
“Penelope, Easton, and I were going to go stargazing. Do you want to come?” I asked as Dave, Penelope, and I walked down the trail. My vampiric friend had arrived to visit earlier that day, and, true to character, had wanted to see Easton again. I had been meaning to invite him to do…something again anyways, so it seemed as good as time as any. Something being the operative word because there weren’t a ton of recreational things to do off work to start with, besides hiking and going to a bar. Neither of those were activities Easton could really join in on, for probably obvious reasons.
Dave paused, then shook his head. “I have to be up early.”
“Ah, c’mon, it’ll be fun,” Penelope said. “You only live once, right?”
“You did not just say YOLO in the year 2023.” Dave laughed.
“It’s practically vintage at this point,” Penelope replied with a shrug. “Like 2010s fashion.”
“That’s not a thing,” I said, frowning as it dawned on me that 2010 was almost 15 years ago.
Penelope shook her head. “It is, I saw it on TikTok. 2010s nostalgia and shit.”
“No. Just…no. Fuck, we’re getting old, aren’t we?” I said, taking that in. It felt like that era had only been a few years ago. Not over a decade ago.
“At least I know I’ll age gracefully,” Penelope replied, giving us a teasing smile. “But, yeah. We’re 24. I guess you’re turning 25 in a few weeks. Wait, Dave, how old are you?”
“25,” Dave replied.
“Dammit. Am I seriously the youngest?” Penelope said, huffing.
“Yeah, I thought vampires were supposed to be old,” I replied.
“Well, it takes a while.” Penelope laughed. “But…back to the original topic…Dave, you should come with us!”
Dave sighed, but smiled. “Alright. Fine. YOLO, or whatever.”
“Yes!” Penelope cheered.
***
When we met Easton later - this time, at the trail, as Penelope and I took my car and Dave arrived in his - the first thing Penelope did was run up to him. Dave lingered back by his car, which I guessed was to be expected at this point.
“Ok, weird question, how old are you?” She asked.
Easton paused, as if considering. “In human years or aphirial years?”
“…yes?” Penelope replied. “Is that like a dog years and human years type of thing?”
“Sort of,” Easton said. “Our days and years are roughly twice as long as yours, and I guess we have ten months, if months are based on the lunar cycle of the main moon but there’s three moons so it gets a little complicated and then we don’t have leap years which probably adds up so based on a human calendar 30-something I think, but I’m bad at math and it would probably make more sense to tell you based on an aphirial calendar anyways because that would match up with the rate we age at and stuff and-I guess you don’t really need to know all of that. Effectively, I’m 21.”
“I honestly did not follow the first part of that,” Penelope admitted. “But what I’m hearing is I’m not the youngest anymore!”
“Unless you go by our years,” I pointed out. “Then he’s the oldest.”
“Just let me have this,” Penelope replied, with faux exasperation. “Besides, from what I did pick up, human years wouldn’t be accurate for his age because it’s like how puppies grow up within like a year but humans don’t except we’re the puppies. Like, okay, Easton, when did you finish school?”
“I graduated college pretty much right before coming here,” he said. “But I did graduate a year early.”
“See? He’s the youngest, from a practical standpoint,” Penelope said.
I rolled my eyes. “Alright, fine. You’re not the youngest.”
“Is she always like this?” Dave asked jokingly.
“I heard that,” Penelope replied. “I just saw a shooting star!”
We all looked up at the sky a fraction of a second too late.
“Man, I missed it. Could have really used a wish,” Dave said, finally walking closer to us. He still stood the furthest from Easton between the three of us, and I saw him glance up at the giant nervously. I once again wondered why he had decided to join us.
“Job that bad?” I joked.
“Oh, more like my whole life,” Dave replied sarcastically.
“You guys know what we should do?” Penelope asked. Not waiting for anyone to reply, she continued. “We should tell scary stories. I mean, dark desert, middle of nowhere, it’s the perfect setting for a horror movie.”
“You have to start, though,” I said. “Mostly because I can’t think of any.”
“I second that,” Dave said.
“Thirded,” Easton added.
“Alright. I have a true one. Y’all ever heard the story of the Whistler?” Penelope lowered her voice, shining her flashlight up towards her face in the picturesque scary story telling manner.
The three of us shook our heads. She grinned. “Perfect.” She took a deep breath, before starting the story.
“There once was this guy who loved camping, so one spring break, he and his friends all decided to go someplace they’d never been before. Big Bend National Park-“
“Oh, come on,” Dave interrupted. “Isn’t that a little too convenient?”
Penelope glared at him. “Don’t interrupt!”
“Okay, sorry,” Dave said.
She continued. “The trip ended up being three of them - let’s call them James, Ben, and Peter. The three planned a camping trip that was supposed to last for a week. They were all experienced backpackers and shit, so this wasn’t something that was out of the norm for them. The trip slowly drew closer, and before they knew it, they were off.
When they got to the park, it was already dark, so they ended up setting up for the first night by flashlight. Nothing really happened that night, and the three of them got up early the next morning to start hiking. They made pretty good time throughout the day, and by the time they set up camp that night, they were all exhausted. James was certain he’d pass out almost as soon as he was in his tent. But that didn’t happen.
Instead, James found himself unable to fall asleep, despite how tired he was from the day’s journey. Something kept nagging out his mind, like some long forgotten instinct warning him of danger. Try as he might, he couldn’t shake the sense that something was off. It was then that he noticed the desert had gone silent. No coyotes, no crickets, no toads, nothing.
And then he heard it. It was faint at first, so faint he could barely make it out. As it drew closer, though, he realized what the sound was. Someone was out there, in dark expanses of the desert. Whistling. It was a tune he didnzmt recognize, one that gave him the same feeling of wrongness that had been seeping into his mind all night. The whistling grew steadily louder. James fought to make sense of it. It didn’t make any sense for someone to be out in the desert this far from anything, not in the dead of night. He was certain he would have heard Peter or Ben leaving their tent if it had been them, too. The whistling was close now - whoever it was had to be feet from their campsite. James held his breath, a primal sense of dread washing over him. He somehow knew he couldn’t let the whistler know he was awake…”
As Penelope continued the story, I felt a shiver run down my spine as I stared out at the desert. I felt like I could almost convince myself there was some sort of strange creature lurking out there, whistling an eerie tune. I glanced over at Dave. His expression was neutral. Glancing up at Easton, I couldn’t help but find it a little ironic that he looked the most unsettled about the story. Given that he probably had the least to fear even if the Whistler had been real. It was amusing in the same sort of way that seeing him wearing oversized t-shirts and sweatshirts was, and also an always surreal reminder that he came from a world where he wasn’t a giant.
Penelope finished the story by declaring that the Whistler was said to still lurk out there to this day, looking for more victims. I heard Easton let out a breath.
“Personally, I would simply whistle back at the Whistler.” Dave broke the silence, adding some much appreciated humor back into the evening. I couldn’t help but laugh.
“So, who’s next?” Penelope asked, looking between the three of us. I wracked my brain for a story that seemed suitable to tell. It dawned on me that there were actually more than a couple of campfire stories about aphirials. I quickly crossed those off as possible options, settling on a somewhat generic ghost story and volunteering. We didn’t actually get to telling another story after that, the conversation instead shifting to whether or not ghosts were real.
Dave glanced down at his phone at some point, announcing that he had to get going to get some sleep. Penelope made a brief attempt to convince him to stay, but he shook his head and wished the remaining three of us a goodnight. He seemed ever so slightly more comfortable around Easton towards the end, which I decided to count as progress. I wondered idly if Penelope had picked up on any of the tension between the two of them as I watched his headlights grow smaller in the darkness.
The three of us continued talking for a bit, watching the stars up above. I eventually felt myself growing tired. A sentiment that Penelope didn’t seem to share - not that she ever did.
“We should probably head back soon,” I told her.
“I guess some of us do need to “sleep occasionally” or whatever,” she replied jokingly. She glanced up at Easton. “Wait, if your days are twice as long, how does that work with sleeping here on Earth? If you even need to sleep - don’t want to assume.”
“I wish I didn’t need to sleep,” Easton replied with a small laugh. “It’s been an adjustment. Which is why I’ll agree with Angie on it getting late. Thank you for inviting me, by the way.”
“Hey, I said we should hang out outside of work more and I meant it,” I replied. I stood up from where I had been sitting. Penelope did the same. She suddenly froze, looking off into the desert, before shrieking,
“Shit! It’s the Whistler!” And jumping back.
Despite it being the most Penelope move ever, I still jumped too, my heart skipping a beat.
As did Easton. He flinched back at Penelope suddenly jumping back towards him, her status as a vampire allowing her to move far faster than any humans and managed to catch even him off guard. His hand landed a bit closer to my car than I would have liked.
“Don’t do that!” His tone was far more abrupt than I’d heard from him before. Enough so that Penelope and I both froze. She stopped laughing, the realization that trying to scare someone the size of a skyscraper was a poor choice finally hitting her.
“I’m sorry.” Easton’s tone immediately softened upon seeing our reaction as even more regret filled his eyes. “I-that-I didn’t mean for that to come out so strongly. Or to move so quickly. I’m so sorry, I was just surprised-“
“It’s fine,” I said, interrupting him. “I think Penelope would agree that that was maybe not the move?” I looked over at her expectantly.
“Yeah. Um, sorry. I didn’t really think that through,” Penelope admitted.
“I still shouldn’t have - I should have been being more careful and I shouldn’t have snapped at you, I’m seriously so sorry, I swear I wasn’t trying to scare you guys or come off as-“
“I can’t speak for Penelope, but I was less scared and more…surprised? I don’t think I’ve ever even heard you sound annoyed before,” I said. That was the truth - I’d only actually seen Easton express an emotion besides “polite friendliness” once, which was when he had been crying after that one man had yelled at him. The whole event was a poignant reminder that he was not, in fact, just some concept of a giant, but also very much a person. Seeing the way he’d tried to backpedal so quickly for something like sounding slightly upset over a prank made me feel a wave of sympathy for him. That same remark, coming from me or Dave, would have probably just gotten a “my bad” in response followed by laughter.
I frowned, Penelope’s earlier point about how he was technically the youngest of the four of us coming back to me. Not that 21 wasn’t also an adult, but just that there was some twisted irony in how he also had to be the most mature in spite of that. I glanced back up at him.
“Seriously, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it.”

This was a WEIRD episode XD
Suon has a greater goal.
Suon has a greater goal.
Suon has a greater goal than playing FnaF and nobody can convince me otherwise. :p
Davis and Reed have subverted expectations yet again! Now I have NO idea how or when Sun and Moon are going to reconcile.
Suon (or Meteor, as I like to call him) ripping open the bandage and pouring salt on one of Sun's many wounds was one thing, but using Lunar against him was freaking LOW. Sun and Lunar's relationship has always felt kind of rocky to me, but I'm certain Sun loved Lunar back then, and he absolutely does now! Did you guys hear the anger in Sun's tone when Meteor suggested "playing" with his little brother? Sun almost losing Lunar (and thinking he DID lose him for weeks on end...) made him appreciate the little guy much more.
And who is Meteor to talk about Sun "not loving" Lunar? He has no loved ones aside from himself and is a dangerous bully with no remorse! After seeing how he escaped (dammit Freddy!) and listening to what he was saying just before, it sounds like he wants to get under Sun's figurative skin. Is he trying to push Sun to the extreme so he'll do something "brazen", as Meteor put it?
As much as I miss Lunar, at the same time I've believed that maybe it's good he's kinda MIA right now. Eclipse doesn't know where he is; he's safe. And I KNOW, I know, Eclipse quite possibly regrets abusing him, but all Eclipse knows right now is toxic and harmful behavior! I don't think he has any idea how else to treat others! He has a LOOONG way to go if he wants to so much as talk to Lunar again!
And... oh, Moon. He sounded so tired when answering his brother's call. It's to be expected, he just had a blow up after all, but he almost sounded dead inside. He sounded so done with everything, and... I can relate. There have been plenty of times when I've felt done with the world, especially this year and last year.
As concerning as Sun's mental condition is, Moon's been through hell, too.
When he started threatening Meteor it actually scared me a bit. The passive aggressiveness and, maybe I just suck at hearing differences in emotions vocally speaking, but the fact that he barely changed his tone was chilling. Reed is too good voicing distraught Moon. WAY TOO GOOD. XD
Though, I highly doubt Moon would do something like go back to his old ways because he's better than that, even if his emotions are kind of... in turmoil at the moment.
Sorry if any of this sounds... sloppily written. I'll edit this tomorrow if I feel the need to, but right now it's late and I'm ready to just have some comfort food and go to bed. G'night everybody!

"I miss you, brother"
Another old Sun and Moon show art piece. Before Lunar returned, I imagine Sun would keep an eye on Spigot and would sit there, thinking about how the last thing Lunar saw was him having a breakdown.

Eclipse rages
Eclipse let’s out a small groan and tries to remember what happened. He let out a growl of frustration as it the event slammed into him.
“Lunar?!” He called out looking out for the missing bot.
He looked around rapidly. He got up rapidly looking for the missing robot.
“LUnar??!!” He screamed out.
He ran through the daycare calling out Lunar’s name. He felt the changes rush through his body claws emerging as his voice became staticky. I looked around frantically for the small robot he had come to see as a little brother.
“LUNAR?!” He cried out once more fear and rage in his voice. He tore through the daycare almost feral with rage. He let out a staticky growl. He turned towards the door as someone walked in. It was one of his creators, Eclipse could barely recognize him as such.
“Eclipse what’s wrong?” Sundrop asks in concern.
“Lunar is missing!” Eclipse growls out his golden orange gaze piercing though Sun.
“Then we can track him. His power core is similar to yours right? You just need to calm down and then we can get to moon. Besides I doubt Lunar would go far He’s even clingier than most lunar models.”
Eclipse listens to his creator and begins to cycle his vents. He feels the claws recede and cycles his vents. He looked at Sun with sorrow and concern in his eyes. Then he remembered something.
“The cameras!” Eclipse exclaimed rushing towards the tiny security office he kept just incase of a kidnapping.
Sundrop follows swiftly behind Eclipse his rays spinning frantically. Eclipse slammed the door open his eyes looking around the old dusty office. Eclipse swept the dust off the screen of the computer. One of the only things in the office kept up to date. He turned it on and tapped his fingers on the desk impatiently.
“Come on, come on.” He urged impatiently while Sundrop waited outside the little office in concern.
Finally, the screen came on and eclipse logged in, he swiftly went into the security program and went over the recording of today. He watched in horror as an animatronic that looked eerily like Moondrop’s original frame appeared as is by magic the moment Eclipse and Lunar were unconscious. The animatronic picked up Lunar and walked off with the little bot in his arms. Eclipse held back the urge to run his hand through the screen. He rushed out of the small office.
“Lunar’s been kidnapped.” He growled out barely keeping his security protocols in line.
Sundrop floated over to Eclipse worried about both Lunar and Eclipse.
“Was it?” Sundrop asked not wanting to finish the sentence.
“Very likely. It’s time you knew something about lunar though. He’s from another dimension. Will that make Moondrop’s job much harder?” Eclipse replied.
Sun shook his head.
“No, I don’t think so. He’s had to track things across dimensions before. But do you really think his kidnappers are from another dimension?”
“They ARE PROBABLY THE HORRIBLE CARETAKERS HE RAN AWAY FROM!” Eclipse shouted unable to keep his rage in any longer.
“Oh, my stars do you think they are going to hurt him?!” Sun asked in concern. “No but I have my suspicions on who they are and where to find them when we figure out the dimension he has been taken back to.” Eclipse growls angrily.
