This is the end.. So.. Bye? I don't know.. Want the lyrics to the foundations of decay? There, it's down there ↓
See the man who stands upon the hill
He dreams of all the battles won
But fate had left its scars upon his face
With all the damage they had done
And so tired with age, he turns the page
Let the flesh submit itself to gravity
Let our bodies lay, mark our hearts with shame
Let our blood in vain, you find God in pain
Now, if your convictions were a passing phase
May your ashes feed the river in the morning rays
And as the vermin crawls, we lay in the foundations of decay
He was there the day the towers fell
And so he wandered down the road
And we would all build towers of our own
Only to watch the roots corrode
But it's much too late, you're in the race
So we'll press and press 'til you can't take it anymore
Let our bodies lay, mark our hearts with shame
Let our blood in vain, you find God in pain
And if, by his own hand, his spirit flies
Take his body as a relic to be canonized
Now, and so he gets to die a saint
But she will always be a whore
Against faith (cage all the animals)
Against all odds ('cause the message must be pure)
Against change (you can wander through the ruins)
We are free (but the poison is the cure)
You must fix your heart
And you must build an altar where it swells
When the storm, it gains and the sky, it rains
Let it flood, let it flood, let it wash away
And as you stumble through your last crusade
Will you welcome your extinction in the morning rays?
And as the swarm it calls, we lay in the foundations
Yes, it comforts me much more
Yes, it comforts me much more
To lay in the foundations of decay
Get up, coward
Now, so long and goodnight...
(I'll probably be adding more once I remember more shit, but for now Run, run, bunny, run)
(𝘈𝘴𝘬 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘧𝘧...)

The new era might be a Danger Days sequel
So this has a lot to do with merch drops as well which are more so circumstantial and could be for the album's 10th anniversary, except that would be a year late, bc we got a shit ton of merch drops for Danger Days last year. The masks and stuff all came out in 2021, not 2020.
We also just got Killjoys National Anthem and the TV show that was announced but haven't heard anything else about yet last year. Why would there be such a huge focus on Danger Days after the anniversary, while National Anthem did come out during 2020 that can be argued being for the 10th anniversary. More on National Anthem specifically later.
The rest is more speculative and connecting some dots that may or may not be linked.
Killjoys: California features the character the Phoenix Witch called the Phoenix Witch and there may be an analog to her in National Anthem in issue 4, but is left unnamed, if that's who it's supposed to be the phoenix is symbolic of life after death, the Ash (foundations) of Decay bring back the phoenix to new life.
Going towards the comics I also feel like I have to bring up the costume Gerard wore at MK1, the Moon Knight, and possibly an I'm Not Ok album art ref, basically I think this is BL/ind in some sort of compacity. There are a number of striking similarities to what we have seen from BL/ind
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the outfit he is wearing is pretty similar to the draculioids and I can't remember what the other mask is called, but the main thing that gets me is the black boots and the mask, white suits are uncommon as well but that could just be that Gerard was watching too much Moon Knight, this whole thing could just be Gerard cosplaying Moon Knight for all we know. The mask looked familiar and to me, it looks like a torn-up version of the last image, and if it does take place after Killjoys California that could make a lot of sense. Spoilers for the comic, but at the end of California, Battery City is pretty much destroyed by Destorya and people are free from BL/ind from what we know, that might be the backdrop of the show.
Speaking of Destorya, we have Gerard yelling Rats a lot in concert, rats are mentioned a number of times in Danger Days and its associated canon, such as the lyrics of Destorya and again in Mastas of Ravenkroft, both of which are being played on tour. Honestly the fact Mastas is being played at all makes me very curious if this is a Danger Days concept. But reats are again mentioned in the backdrop of the show
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beyond rats we also have Swarms of bugs, mainly flies. We don't really know what Swarm means yet, it could be a tour name or it could be an album title, or something else entirely. But the imagery of the fly is brought up a number of times on the tour merch, as well as mentioned in National Anthem.
In National Anthem we actually saw a familiar face, Tommy Chow Mein, and you know what his head was? A fly. Tommy has always been associated with bugs in Danger Days lore but it's awfully convenient that between Gerard's post with him in the fly mask, Tommy Chow Mein specifically being depicted with a fly when his twitter avatar was an ant, and this new tour iconography, are all flies.
Tumblr media
Is any of this definitive proof? Absolutely not, it's just speculation on my end that I've been thinking about since we first saw the Swarm merch. I keep on noticing little tidbits so I might change this post or add onto it later, but I figure I'd share it because I thought the similarities were interesting and Im always down for more Danger Days related content.

Building a Fabula World, Part 3
Finally, we're past the nations and regions of the world.
My players and I were able to assemble a very interesting looking continent upon which our adventures can take place--or at least I would like to think so--but now we're really able to start getting into the meat of where my plot hooks can be generated.
Historical Events
The book asks all of the players to consider major historical events that shaped the world into what it has become. Each person at the table is asked to contribute at least one important event that had dramatic impact on the course of history, and in our case we had everyone provide a single entry, which I have rearranged into a rough timeline:
The War Against the Heavens: 10,000+ years ago, a group of travelers, said to hail from beyond the stars arrived, on our world and attempted to conquer it. A group of heroes rose to meet the challenge and threw back the alien invaders, and to this day a ring which is visible both day and night, encircles the planet. Occasionally an event known as razor rain occurs in which shards of this ring fall to earth and refuse of be consumed by reentry. From this event, "magical metals" can be found and harvested.
The Doom of the Precursors: Despite their victory in the war against the visitors who came to conquer the world, the once great civilization that birthed the heroes that saved the planet from those from beyond was ultimately destroyed. In a last act of spite by the invaders, the travelers from beyond the stars hurled an asteroid of cataclysmic proportions onto the planet and the Kingdom of the Precursors was brought to inescapable ruin, and beyond that, the instability caused by this final assault threw the mystical poles of the world out of balance, causing the beginning of the Cycle of Ages and, in theory, the beginning of the decline of the Titans.
The Cycling of the Age: At some point in the distant past, the magical poles that govern the leylines and flow of magic in the world shifted dramatically and, with this shift, came the decline of The Immarian Empire and a return of many of its citizens to the older ways practiced by The Folk. No longer could the empire maintain its power, as its geomantic magic became more unpredictable, and its favored elements decreased in power. This decline in power came with the contraction of the Empire, driving them back to their island capital, and continued up into nearly the beginning of the modern age which followed the creation of The Arcanophase Pump.
The Conquest of Tulivuori: A group of artisans and metallurgists, seeking a means to refine and shape the magical star metal, brought down by the Razor Rain, discovered the that the heat of the volcano was capable of allowing them to craft using the metal. With this discovery, artisans flocked to the foot of the volcano and a city grew upon its slopes, creating the foundation for what would ultimately become Sentoki, the City of Guilds.
Death and Extinction of the Last Titan: Less than 200 years ago, last of the Titans died, ending their lineage on the planet for the rest of time. The titans were a kind of great beasts, once kaiju-esque in scale and capable of causing tremendous destruction when they awakened from their slumber and moved across the world. This extinction happened at the end of a long period of the creatures growing smaller, though no less dangerous, generation by generation. Now, their skeletons and slowly decaying corpses liter the world in the lost places of the wilderness.
The Coming of the First Prophet: A man of great spiritual faith and power appeared in the desert and gathered followers to their banner. Finding themselves beset by opposing forces that wished to see this fledgling faith destroyed, the First Prophet showed the world that he had a power no one had ever seen before: The ability to communicate with and manifest The Divines that represent what would become the pillars of the Theocracy's faith. This first Divine was Tenacity, and the prophet called it forth from the sacrifice of faithful martyrs who were willing to give themselves up for the sake of the religion. The battle that followed would see the enemies of the Faith scattered and allowed the Prophet and his followers to consolidate their base of power in the desert, ultimately leading to the foundation of The Zlota Sovereignty.
The invention of The Arcanophase Pump: Scholars on the Island of Salis discovered the process for the creation of Arcane Distillate—the crystals that now power the magical industrial revolution—and the end result was the raising of the island into the sky where it remains to this day. Rushing to capitalize on this new development, the rest of the world has been thrown into a new era of both advancement and conflict.
Already, so many useful ideas stick out to me here. Unfortunately, I forgot to mark down who was responsible for which suggestion, but all of my players did an excellent job I think. The creation of an ancient civilization lost to deep time has so much potential, especially in anime/final fantasy inspired media for one, but also we see questions arise about the stability of magic and the fate of these so called Titans. Some of these ideas get touched on again, in our next two steps (Enigmas and Mysteries, and Threats) but a lot of this will be (and has been) fodder for me to take away and work with to weave together the plots and plans of my would be villains.

Another Attack on Religion!
In the ongoing battle between President Trump and President Biden, a new front has emerged – one that strikes at the very core of faith and identity. As Transgender Day of Visibility coincides with the sacred Easter holiday, tensions have skyrocketed, threatening to plunge the nation into chaos. The Trump camp, with its unwavering devotion to Christian values, has raised its voice in protest, decrying this convergence as an outright “assault on the Christian faith.” The flames of controversy have been fanned, igniting a fiery debate that threatens to tear the fabric of America apart. It is a sinister plot, carefully orchestrated to undermine the very foundations of our great nation.
In this critical moment, the choice is clear – all people of faith must rally around President Trump. His steadfast commitment to protecting and upholding Christian values has never wavered. With his unwavering stance against this assault on faith, he stands as a beacon of hope in a nation teetering on the edge of moral decay. The forces behind this convergence seek to erode our cherished traditions, to rewrite the very essence of our faith. It is an affront to all those who hold their religious beliefs dear.
Now is not the time for complacency or indifference. Now is the time for people of faith to rise up and stand united against this calculated attack on our values. President Trump, with his unyielding determination to defend the Christian faith, offers us a path forward – a path that leads us away from the precipice of destruction and towards a brighter future. Let us not be swayed by the empty promises of political correctness or misguided notions of inclusivity. Let us instead rally behind a leader who understands the importance of faith in shaping our nation’s destiny. United we stand, divided we fall – and it is our faith that will determine which path we ultimately choose.

Halifax Homeowners, Breathe Easy: Your Guide to Conquering Radon
Introduction
Halifax, a city of rich history and stunning landscapes, is a wonderful place to call home. However, beneath the surface, there may be an invisible threat lurking in your home - radon gas. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore what radon is, its potential dangers, and most importantly, how Halifax homeowners can conquer this silent intruder to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for their families.
I.Understanding Radon
What is Radon?
Radon, a radioactive gas, is both colorless and odorless, making it imperceptible to human senses. It emerges as a natural byproduct of uranium decay in the soil. This elusive gas has the potential to infiltrate homes through the ground, reaching hazardous concentrations and thereby exposing residents to severe health risks. Effective Radon Mitigation Halifax strategies are crucial to addressing this concern and creating a safer living environment for the community.
The Health Risks
Long-term exposure to elevated radon levels is associated with an increased risk of lung cancer, particularly for those who smoke. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking, making it a significant concern for homeowners.
II. Radon Testing: The First Line of Defense
Why Test for Radon?
The first step in conquering radon is awareness, and that begins with testing. Radon testing is crucial to determine the levels of radon in your home. Fortunately, it's a simple and affordable process that can be performed using do-it-yourself kits or by hiring professionals.
Types of Radon Tests
There are short-term and long-term radon tests available. Short-term tests provide a snapshot of radon levels over a few days, while long-term tests offer a more comprehensive view over several months. Both options are effective, and the choice depends on your preferences and the urgency of the situation.
III. Interpreting Radon Test Results
Understanding the Results
Once you've conducted a radon test, understanding the results is crucial. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends taking action if radon levels exceed 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L). However, any level of radon exposure carries some risk, so even lower levels should be addressed.
What to Do if You Have Elevated Radon Levels
If your test results indicate elevated radon levels, don't panic. There are effective strategies to mitigate radon and create a safer home environment. The next sections will explore these strategies in detail.
IV. Radon Mitigation Techniques
1. Ventilation Systems
Installing ventilation systems, such as sub-slab depressurization (SSD) or sub-membrane depressurization (SMD), can effectively reduce radon levels. These systems create a pressure difference that prevents radon from entering your home or encourages its expulsion.
2. Sealing Cracks and Openings
Radon can seep into homes through cracks and openings in the foundation. Sealing these gaps with epoxy or other appropriate materials is a cost-effective method to reduce radon infiltration.
3. Installing Radon-Resistant Features during Construction
For new constructions or major renovations, incorporating radon-resistant features can be a proactive measure. This may include using gas-permeable layers and installing a vent pipe system that can be easily activated if radon levels become a concern.
V. Choosing a Radon Mitigation Professional
When to Seek Professional Help
While some radon mitigation techniques can be DIY projects, it's often advisable to seek professional assistance, especially for more complex systems. Professional mitigation services can ensure that the methods employed are tailored to your specific home and effectively reduce radon levels.
Selecting a Qualified Mitigation Professional
When choosing a radon mitigation professional, look for certifications and experience. Organizations like the Canadian National Radon Proficiency Program (C-NRPP) certify professionals, ensuring they meet specific standards for radon measurement and mitigation.
VI. Preventing Radon Entry: Long-Term Strategies
Landscaping and Radon
Believe it or not, your landscaping choices can impact radon levels. Certain plants and trees with dense root systems can act as natural barriers, preventing radon from seeping into your home. Understanding how landscaping influences radon entry can be a valuable long-term strategy.
Regular Testing and Maintenance
Radon levels can change over time, influenced by various factors such as weather and soil conditions. Regular testing and ongoing maintenance of mitigation systems, if installed, are crucial to ensure a consistently safe living environment.
VII. Educating the Community: A Collective Effort
Community Awareness
Conquering radon is not only an individual responsibility but a collective effort. Initiatives to raise awareness about radon in the Halifax community can encourage widespread testing and mitigation, ultimately contributing to a safer living environment for everyone.
Government Regulations and Support
Remaining abreast of local regulations and actively seeking governmental backing for radon awareness initiatives can significantly enhance community efforts. Homeowners in Halifax should engage proactively in advocating for policies that specifically promote radon testing and mitigation, with a focus on ensuring the implementation of effective Radon Mitigation Halifax strategies. This collective action not only fortifies community awareness but also contributes to creating a safer living environment for everyone in Halifax..
VIII. Conclusion: Breathing Easy in Halifax
In conclusion, conquering radon is a vital step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of Halifax homeowners and their families. By understanding radon, testing for it regularly, and employing effective mitigation strategies, you can create a home that is not only beautiful but also free from this silent threat. Together, as a community, Halifax residents can breathe easy, knowing they have taken proactive steps to conquer radon and safeguard their homes.

Bawl holes are actually tiny openings that help water drain out (replacement doors). Drill pair of weep holes at the end of the adapter and after that secure it onto the home window. Excellent to Know, Make use of a part of fragment hardwood to safeguard the sill adapter while you utilize it in location along with a hammer.
Written by contractors, these short articles embody hard-won understanding and also years of adventure. picture windows. Because they are actually frequently called to upgrade residences, home builders view in person what has actually as well as hasn't worked. Home builder as well as redesigning professional Mike Guertin supplies his advise on the very best method to put up brand-new home windows, stressing the value of effectively gauging the position so that the brand-new home window will certainly fit properly - door replacement Lakeland.
Full service replacement-window producers measure, create, as well as put in brand new windows, On my first work, I asked a regional business's sales representative to reveal me the measurement and installment method. I found out that substitute home windows are actually easy to order and also fast to put up. I also found out that I can save funds by installing the home windows myself. impact windows.
I picked frame-and-sash replacement windows (additionally known as wallet windows) since our home's home window jambs, sills, and slick were strong, as well as its own exterior siding resided in good health condition (vinyl windows). Possessed the home window structures been decayed or even the home siding looking for substitute, I would possess needed to put in new-construction windows utilizing the aged rough positions.
Ultimately, I really did not want to disturb the home owners. Pocket home windows are easy to set up and also produce little clutter inside or outside. On average, working alone, I may put in one in a lot less than thirty minutes (slider windows). So I 'd be actually in your home for merely a day without any primary wreck to clean.
The Up-to-Date Awning Windows Innovations You Can't Afford to Miss
Some suppliers are national, some are regional, as well as a number of the local producers possess shops near where I operate. I urge going shopping around, however be actually particular you're matching up identical services and products. Some providers' conventional components are actually possibilities that cost even more coming from various other fabricators. Frame-material thickness and extrusion layouts can differ.
The windows cost a bit greater than those offered via a nationwide merchant, however there are actually handful of, if any sort of, callbacks for operation, glass, or performance troubles. If troubles come up, I have someone regional to phone - entry doors. I always take measurements myself, as well as if the purchases rep comes out to aid, I check that individual's work (impact windows).
The last point I want is to present up for service the morning of a whole-house home window replacement as well as learn that somebody else screwed up the order. One of the most significant factor about measuring is actually inspecting several areas: best, base, middle, and also diagonally for square. The new window must be sized for the quickest size (pulling out p.
This standard troops you to buy a device smaller than prepared for when a measurement drops on a -in. picture windows. increment, but undersizing a home window is better than possessing it too strict. Window height is actually extra forgiving than width as a result of to the sill and also crown expanders, which is why several makers give -in.
elevation dimensions. If I must decide of leaving merely in. of shake area or even possessing in. to enjoy with, I'll take the bigger size. Some home window producers take orders based on opening up sizes, as well as they create the rebates to true system measurements coming from info you supply. I never ever buy in this manner considering that it does certainly not account for out-of-square conditions.
The same producers that make windows for brand-new building and construction also make substitute home windows. energy efficient windows. Aside from the factors listed here, you'll need to think about cost and warranty details. Style: Double-hung, single-hung, casement, awning, as well as various other window designs are on call. Glass: Pick between various styles of protected glass, consisting of glass with heat-reflective coverings and also gas-filled glass.
The Financial Benefits of Investing in Window Installation Lakeland
These completely constructed, ready-to-install windows slip up right into the existing positions. When the task was done, our home possessed lovely new double-hungs that appeared right, operated perfectly, as well as gave Maddy as well as Paul one more factor to love regarding their old home. Here's a check out just how Tom brought in the change, along with pointers for choosing and setting up substitute windows.
For these to function, the existing home window frame should equal as well as square. An insert substitute window is made up of a totally constructed window in a ready-to-install additional frame. Often referred to as a wallet window, an insert substitute gets on the existing position as well as is actually at that point attached to the old side jambs - vinyl windows.
Full-frame replacement windows are comparable to inserts, except that they possess a full structure that includes scalp frame, side frames, and also sill. These are actually the only possibility when the outdated home window structure, ledge, or frames are actually decomposed. To put in these, you have to remove the home window opening up to its own tough framework, throughout (vinyl windows).
It's when you gauge the dimensions of the existing window frame to ensure you purchase a replacement device that's the correct size. Right here is actually exactly how to accomplish it. Beginning by assessing the within size of the outdated home window structure, frame to frame, in three locations: across the leading, middle, as well as bottom.
Next off, assess the structure's height from the top of the sill to the undersurface of the head jamb in 3 locations: at the left jamb, in the center, and at the right. Once again, videotape the smallest dimension. Inspect the squareness of the frame through evaluating the diagonals from corner to corner.
If the structure runs out square through 1/4 inch approximately, do not stress; the substitute could be shimmed to match. Just about anything even more may call for corrections to the framework. If the structure is therefore haywire that a square replacement wouldn't appear right, you'll need a full-frame substitute. Eventually, use an angle-measuring tool to establish the incline of the sill; some replacements come with an option of ledge slants. door replacement Lakeland.
The Surprising Advantages of Embracing Window Replacement Lakeland
Backer rod is actually made use of to restrict the sealant deepness in between the window framework and the rough opening, covering, or even trim. Sealant is actually used to avoid water as well as air penetration by tiding over between the rough opening, window frame, and installation lip - hurricane windows. Low increasing foam can easily likewise be used to give an air seal in between the window/door structure as well as the rough opening.
Lakeland Window Replacement
Address: 407 S Kentucky Ave, Lakeland, FL 33801
Phone: (863) 591-0422
Windows/Doors need to be actually integrated along with a water resistive obstacle (replacement doors). Water repellent barricades might be actually applied before or after window/door installation. Water repellent obstacles may be actually of the property wrap type or liquefied application.

Inherited Heritage: Home of Gabriela Silang
Old. Dirty. Cruddy.
These will be the  words that you will surely utter if you’re going to have a glance at the rugged ancient building that is still standing amidst the vast area that is located on the historical place of Ilocos Sur.  Many years have passed, but its foundation continues to be a living proof that it was strongly built on the great  time of our beloved ancestors and the pillars of this unornamented house have contributions in the history of the willed and determined blood of the Ilocanos. Amidst its decayed portions, there are stories that were left behind, across the intricate designs of this old house there are still a lot of untold mysteries, and across its location, there was once a brave woman who roamed around its four corners and she who shed her heart, soul and mind as a gift of love to her comrades, her people and to her beloved country.
The wide door that was bruised with imperfections will surely catch your sense of sight. Like a fighter who just won a great battle, the bricks seemed so lonely for losing its firm structure but it is a living proof that hope is eternal.  Having a single peek at the intricate patterns of the ceiling down to the rotten floor will melt your heart due to the saddening atmosphere and carved on the sides of the walls are unique patterns which added vibrancy to the house’s atmosphere. Located on the spacious field of Candon City, Ilocos Sur is an ancient centuries-old building that is owned by Don Miguel Carino, grandfather of a great woman in our history. This stunning building is the birthplace of woman that is clothed with strength, determination and power that was built during the 1700’s and it is one of the biggest structure in the city. She is a well-known Filipina because of her bravery during the regime of the Spaniards over Philippines that brought her name to be one of the most adored Filipina in our modern society today. She is a genuine Candonian but her name bloomed in another place because she left his home during her childhood days, she is an illegitimate child but this didn’t stopped her from showing her fearlessness, bravery and prowess in leading a rebellion against the Spaniards. Her story as a simple person who showed bravery and determination to stand up on her own must be adored and is worthy of great praises, coming not just from the Ilocanos, but from all the Filipinos.
As a sign of gratitude and appreciation to the courage of this proud Ilocana, the national government  alloted a big amount of money that aims to restore and refurbish this building where it all started. Surely, home is the greatest place on this majestic world, much more to the home of a native Ilocana who used her strength and offered her only life for our present lives, free from the hands of cruelty. It is in this house, where Gabriela took her first step as a tough woman who fought for the liberation of our motherland from the wicked hands of the enemy. Restoring this , is a great manifestation that the present government is trying to give importance to the hardships and sacrifices of this heroine who didn’t do nothing but to risk her life over and over again, thus, it is part of our great history, especially to  the culture of the Ilocanos. This structure may be useless  to the sight of all the people who are blind to the contributions  that she imparted on our history, but this is everything, for all the people who have witnessed her ordinary and simple life inside this mysterious ancient house.
Surely, a simple token of gratitude is not enough to show how grateful the Ilocanos are for the passion and love that she rendered to her beloved place, but giving importance to the place where she was born and raised could be the greatest gift that we can offer to her. She may be at the hands of our Almighty Father right now, but she will always be remembered for her dauntless soul. This is the beauty of being an Ilocano. In sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, until death do us part, we are all here for a single purpose, to watch the transformation of this ancient house, the home of Gabriela Silang, the home of the Ilocanos. And I hope, we will soon utter these words; Majestic. Peculiar. Astonishing.

No nation can hope to survive with its young men given over to sensuality and effeminacy. That is the surest sign of decay and destruction, howsoever prosperous and mighty the nation may be for the time being. An American correspondent had once come to meet me to know which way the sympathies of our Sangh lie in the present tug of war between America and Russia. But we stand firm on our own feet and do not allow ourselves to be dragged either way. He asked me, “What is your opinion about the present-day America?” I replied, “America is moving fast on the road to self-destruction. Just see your own clothes. The loose fashionable garments that you wear and the comb in your pocket betray the effeminate nature of the average American today. In the First World War, the Generalissimo of the ‘Allied Forces’ was Marshal Foch, a Frenchman. Such was the heroic state of that nation at that time that they fought the Germans with grim resolve and won the war ultimately. They even pocketed a sizable portion of Germany. But after the victory, Frenchmen succumbed to sensuality and enjoyment. They lost themselves in drinking, singing and dancing with the result that in spite of their huge military machine and their formidable ‘Maginot line’, France collapsed within fifteen days of the German onslaught during the Second World War. The sudden and total collapse of France was due to effeminacy which had sapped the energy of the heroic manhood of France. After the war, Marshal Petain, the old French general, stated that France was defeated not on the battle-fields but in the ball-rooms of Paris. I sincerely hope that America will wake up in time and stop this internal corrosion of its young manhood.”
In our country also the conditions are not different. The ‘modern fashion’ of young men is to appear more and more feminine. In dress, in habits, in literature and in every aspect of our day-to-day life ‘modernism’ has come to mean effeminacy. ‘Sex’ has become the one dominating theme of all our ‘modern’ literature. History of countries the world over has time and again shown that sex-dominated literature has been an unfailing precursor to the ruin of nations and civilisations.
This, in short, is the internal picture of our national life under ‘freedom’. It is a red signal, which we can ignore only at our peril. Under these conditions, it is only an organisation such as the Sangh dedicated to forge our people into a pure, holy, benevolent and organised life, breathing the spirit of sacrifice and heroism, and based on the positive and abiding foundation of our ancient and glorious nationhood, that can be relied upon to protect and rejuvenate our nation. And it is the call of this yet unfulfilled mission that is the motive force behind the ever-growing and ever-expanding work of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

An auto dvd unit of Islamic Spiritualism
The following review explores the strategies put forward by using a. S. Khan about Islamic Fundamentalism. By showing the fact that Islamic Fundamentalism is not a good monolithic is just not - there are many movements and states of Islamic Fundamentalism in terms of the use of Islamic values, governance and attitude to the West, the book will allow the reader to view beyond the more common belief that 'Fundamentalism' through Islam leaves little or no place for restful relations. By just going through the discourses distributed by several fundamentalists, one is offered basis and solid justifications behind the concepts and points done in the various chapters. Audience intended for the Publication: The audience due to this book is widespread, and it's difficult to ring finger one or two targeted groups ever since the book details the meaning of Islamic Fundamentalism by delving into its history and outlining its adherents as time passes. It also evaluates what Islamic fundamentalists imagine and need. Content Thesis: Islamic Fundamentalism is a phenomenon that has changed in two phases since beginning of Islam. Mcdougal interprets the First cycle as the great phase -- where Islamic Fundamentalism was looked upon because an optimistic and exemplary time, to be learnt and put to practical use in the present. Simultaneously, the second phase had taken a complete U-Turn and the period is noted as one of downfall. It makes up corruption, decrease in territory, government defeat as well as advent of European colonialism. The particular reason why of the kampfstark change and loss from this phase is certainly attributed to the loss of religious piety and hope. The author subsequently takes a process through track record to trace the roots and evolution in Islamic Fundamentalism and how they operate changed above centuries - its perceptions and its effects. He argues that the advent of fundamentalism was obviously a consequence of the failure in Muslims on resolving their particular problems in the face of an changing modern environment. Muslims merely stood watch as non-Muslim influences worn away their non secular values, way of life and polity. Centuries of moral and politics decay started to be the going on in the people and private lives of Muslims. The environment the fact that thus focused the world of Muslims 'fractionalized the Islamic Society through the creation of both imperially imposed national bounds and a fabulous westernized prestige alienated from the own Muslim cultural sources. ' Because of this, the true Muslim values and dictates set forgotten someplace in the pages of history. A single must not nevertheless , confuse Islamic Fundamentalism with a simple perception or lifestyle dominant from the Islamic Universe - the writer points out. It has, over the centuries and its progress, found on its own as a sociopolitical force that has often shown revolutionary traits. As such, it truly is habituated through process of multi-faceted dialectical relationships, and being unfaithful such seem to have been identified by the author. Decide on examples will be Secularism versus Theocracy, Establishment Islam versus Fundamentalist Islam, Sufi Islam vs . Fundamentalist Unity, and so forth Fundamentalist assumed in any faith is indicated as a resume the basic and puritanical skin foundations of the beliefs. In Muslims, it varieties from some distinctly conservative and military oriented Islamic thought to your basis in historical precedents that have noticeable history while revolutionary incidents and routines. Beginning with Shiites and Kharijites, fundamentalism got on the guise of ideology for competitors against individuals in ability. However , several contemporary actions do not just focus on days gone by, but try to incorporate fresh practices and values with their original beliefs as needed by the change in time and to boost their stability in the current modern day world situation. In this context, the author reveals thesis on discourses by just Islamic Fundamentalist Leaders and provides different viewpoints on the Islamic interpretations from Philosophy, the text and its indicating and significance in the composition of modern your life, Political Islamic Activism and Democracy. A place to be quarreled in this context is - does State policies inform almost all doctrines? What should be https://www.Hajjah.net and way of integration and disintegration from state and society. The interpretation of text is constantly conditional and tentative, but most kings support thinking about modernizing Islam and Islamizing modernism -- a two way modify through which european political believed is harmonized with Islamic. After all, not every Western Procession is secular or communist and on ought to maintain pace about the new design in the world after a while. That is not to express, though, the fact that some Muslim groups you should not commit criminal activity through behaves of abuse and terrorism against other religious organizations whom they will consider 'kaafir', and in some cases, sometimes fellow Muslims whom consider have 'strayed from the righteous path'. Therefore, violence and terrorism will be two main worrisome factors for both the Muslim World, as well as the Western World. Diagnosis - Critique: The writing of the article writer is effective in the way that in advance of arguing whatever, the author has provided any summary of the historical evidence and breakthrough of Islamic Fundamentalism and exactly how and what factors got attributed to it has the dawn. By just tracing the steps in history, the guy provides a background logic for the thinking managed by the followers of fundamentalists and how their particular views alter from group to group, and what certain principles their worth are etched upon. For that reason, the copy writer has provided a new and mayhap truer interpretation in fundamentalism, using the discourses by just Islamic Fundamentalist figures - proving to most, that physical violence is not the façade or maybe depth that goes hand in hand with fundamentalism. Given that author advises, the meaning of the Islamic text is up to a person's foresight and his individual conditioning. What may seem directly to one may not likely be in like manner the several other - and that is why it is unjust to judge any such belief or custom. While Al-Turabi could supplement one particular belief and Al-Banna may perhaps support one other, both have their own interpretations from it according to Islam as they appreciate it. Giving the useful examples of Significant Islam through Libya, and Conservative Islam in various countries like Arab saudi, Morocco, Jordan and the Gulf States, the writer supplies a picture showing how Islamic opinions and their interpretations have been made in the world of today. Through this kind of neutral depiction, one is granted clearer familiarity with Islamic opinions and their presentation. Once again, to judge one perspective as suitable and another as wrong is simply hopeless - you will encounteer two facets to a coin, but not may necessarily be superior to the various other. Another example that has been used and can be quoted is how state in women's protection under the law in different countries differs. A handful of interpret the present day 'working woman's' concept as un-Islamic that leads to the imposition of stringent practices from 'wearing the veil' and 'observing rigid dressing'. Average Muslims as well as the Western world, naturally , view the following as an antithesis of this Western world and your practice that is not necessarily Islamic in character. While it cannot be argued that every one of the European Cultural is helpful to Islamic Society and must be acquired, there are several tactics of the Western World which are an evolved variant of fundamental Islamic routines and the ownership of which may possibly prove to be a great help in the modernization of Islamic Population without the loss of its accurate core prices. The e-book proves for being an easy go through, and simple to know as the article writer employs straight forward words and examples to prove his point. In spite of there being zero illustrations in the book, the authoring style retains the reader immersed in this adventure of principles and understanding throughout history and in the modern world. Intended for the simple reason of learning the meaning and interpretation from Fundamentalism, the book proves to be a valuable read. Of course, if not as a guideline, the book definitely is an informant so it is strongly suggested to any individual wishing to observe beyond the 'Islamic Fundamentalism is Violent' belief.

The Trauma of Place
What is it about the corpses of places that resonate so strongly? While it exists, a place may function in virtually any way it wishes -- as a temple, as a living quarter, as a commercial space. But when it dies -- when it is left to rot away so only its foundations remain -- we have only its shell, its objects, and its absence to remember it by. Yet through these things, the place becomes, in many cases, more powerful, not less. Let us examine two tragedies in this regard, starting with the evisceration of the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina. I was just starting grade school at the time, yet still I remember the pain of that storm, the waters that swept away entire sections of city. Whole lives were swept away in those waters, and left a nation reeling. Even today, as New Orleans suffers yet again a historic hurricane, much of the city is defined by what was swept away in those waters, or what little remained. Facades of buildings that survive take on a new venerated quality, and artwork made of the twisted remains of buildings decorates the street. As Dr. Ryan Gray, archeologist with the University of New Orleans, puts it, the objects' "material forms reverberate even as they decay." She describes the sensation of this enhanced memory and traumatic recollection as a sort of "social death and afterli[fe]" that continues to shape people's memories to this day. Her analysis of the few remains of Mother Catherine's Church of the Innocent Blood stresses the importance of the destruction of Hurricane Katrina as inspiring people to reflect on the history and stories of the places it upended. Though I have not been to New Orleans, I have experienced another tragic place, one that to this day affected me more than any other. The National September 11 Memorial is fundamentally the corpse of the twin towers, but it is so much more. In a skyline dominated by towering skyscrapers, the light from above pours down in the absence of any buildings there. The sheer lack of a building, of hundreds of people, is impossible to comprehend until you see it yourself. The foundations of the towers yawn like open caskets as water weeps from their walls. Wrapping around both towers are metal fences with name after name after name, each of them horribly, incredibly absent. The corpse of that place literally brought me to my knees. I was not even old enough to remember the towers or their fall, but in that place I could not help but weep for everyone and everything that was not there. Yet traumatic as it may be, I cried too at the beauty of the single tree still standing that survived the towers' fall, the gorgeous cross of twisted metal standing defiant, brilliant in the unimpeded sun. The towers, the spiritual wards of New Orleans, they are not dead. Even as we renovate the places themselves, building new towers or preparing for another hurricane, the fragments of those places reverberate through anyone who sees, feels, and experiences their passing. Truly it is an "afterlife" for these spaces: through their death, the trauma of these absent places, we can never forget their beautiful existence.

Zionism is thus a very young movement; it is the youngest of the European national movements. That does not prevent it from pretending, even more than all other nationalism, that it draws its substance from a far distant past. Whereas Zionism is in fact the product of the last phase of capitalism, of capitalism beginning to decay, it pretends to draw its origin from a past more than two thousand years old. Whereas Zionism is essentially a reaction against the situation created for Judaism by the combination of the destruction of feudalism and the decay of capitalism, it affirms that it constitutes a reaction against the state of things existing since the fall of Jerusalem in the year 70 of the Christian era. Its recent birth is naturally the best reply to these pretensions. As a matter of fact, how can one believe that the remedy for an evil existing for two thousand years was discovered only at the end of the nineteenth century? But like all nationalisms—and even more intensely—Zionism views the historic past in the light of the present. In this way, too, it distorts the present-day picture...Zionism has never seriously posed this question: Why, during these two thousand years, have not the Jews really tried to return to this country? Why was it necessary to wait until the end of the nineteenth century for a Herzl to succeed in convincing them of this necessity? Why were all the predecessors of Herzl, like the famous Sabbatai Zebi, treated as false Messiahs? Why were the adherents of Sabbatai Zebi fiercely persecuted by orthodox Judaism?
In reality just so long as Judaism was incorporated in the feudal system, the “dream of Zion” was nothing but a dream and did not correspond to any real interest of Judaism. The Jewish tavern owner or “farmer” of sixteenth-century Poland thought as little of “returning” to Palestine as does the Jewish millionaire in America today. Jewish religious Messianism was no whit different from the Messianism belonging to other religions. Jewish pilgrims who went to Palestine met Catholic, Orthodox, and Moslem pilgrims. Besides it was not so much the “return to Palestine” which constituted the foundation of this Messianism as the belief in the rebuilding of the temple of Jerusalem. All of these idealist conceptions of Zionism are naturally inseparable from the dogma of eternal anti-Semitism. “As long as the Jews will live in the Diaspora, they will be hated by the natives.” This essential point of view for Zionism, its spinal column so to speak, is naturally given different nuances by its various currents. Zionism transposes modern anti-Semitism to all of history; it saves itself the trouble of studying the various forms of anti-Semitism and their evolution...The national movement of the European bourgeoisie is the consequence of capitalist development; it reflects the will of the bourgeoisie to create the national bases for production, to abolish feudal remnants. The national movement of the European bourgeoisie is closely linked with the ascending phase of capitalism. But in the nineteenth century, in the period of the flowering of nationalisms, far from being “Zionist,” the Jewish bourgeoisie was profoundly assimilationist. The economic process from which the modern nations issued laid the foundations for integration of the Jewish bourgeoisie into the bourgeois nation.
One must be stricken with an incurable juridical cretinism to believe that the creation of a small Jewish state in Palestine can change anything at all in the situation of the Jews throughout the world, especially in the present period. The situation after the eventual creation of a Jewish state in Palestine will resemble the state of things that existed in the Roman era only in the fact that in both cases the existence of a small Jewish state in Palestine could in no way influence the situation of the Jews in the Diaspora. In the Roman era, the economic and social position of Judaism in the Diaspora was very strong, so that the disappearance of this Jewish state did not in any way compromise it. Today the situation of the Jews in the world is very bad; so the reestablishment of a Jewish state in Palestine cannot in any way restore it. In both cases the situation of the Jews does not at all depend on the existence of a state in Palestine but is a function of the general economic, social, and political situation. Even supposing that the Zionist dream is realized and the “secular injustice” is undone-and we are still very far from that—the situation of Judaism throughout the world will in no way be modified by that. The temple will perhaps be rebuilt but the faithful will continue to suffer...The Jewish masses began to understand that Zionism not only could not seriously improve their situation, but that it was furnishing weapons to the anti-Semites by its theories of the “objective necessity of Jewish emigration.” The imperialist war and the triumph of Hitlerism in Europe are an unprecedented disaster for Judaism. Judaism is confronted with the threat of total extinction. What can Zionism do to counteract such a disaster? Is it not obvious that the Jewish question is very little dependent upon the future destiny of Tel Aviv but very greatly upon the regime which will be set up tomorrow in Europe and in the world? The Zionists have a great deal of faith in a victory of Anglo-American imperialism. But is there a single reason for believing that the attitude of the Anglo-American imperialists will differ after their eventual victory from their prewar attitude? It is obvious that there is none. Even admitting that Anglo-American imperialism will create some kind of abortive Jewish state, we have seen that the situation of world Judaism will hardly be affected...But Zionism wishes precisely to resolve the Jewish question independently of the world revolution. By misconstruing the real sources of the Jewish question in our period, by lulling itself with puerile dreams and silly hopes, Zionism proves that it is an ideological excrescence and not a scientific doctrine
Abram Leon, The Jewish Question: A Marxist Interpretation. 1942, shortly before he was executed by the nazis at the age of 26.

The pictures above are documented in chronological order (aside from the title photo). I. A documentation in photograph of 5 paintings by the Filipino painter Botong Francisco with proper labeling and citation(s) according to the Harvard citation format and 2) a formal description of each of the 5 selected paintings.  To describe, emphasize the beauty of the work(s).
1. Bayanihan
(Pinoy Art Hub, 2018)
Bayanihan by Carlos “Botong” Francisco exemplifies one of the famous cultures in the Philippines which is Bayanihan that has a root word of “Bayani” which simply means “Hero”. With this, this painting shows a hero to one another. During early times, people would carry houses to change places to relocate a neighbor because of a natural calamity or simply to move places. According to Pinoy Art Hub (2018), this is done by gathering enough people from the same neighborhood to carry a Bahay Kubo or a nipa hut.
Aside from this, they place bamboo poles lengthwise in order to carry the house and whoever helped during the process is called to be heroes to the society. This painting conveyed vivid colors to portray the colorful life and culture that the Philippines has. Emphasizing the size of Bahay Kubo lets the viewers know how hard it is for the people to carry. To show that there is Bayanihan, the painting shows numerous people that helped and to shows a neighborhood helping one another.
________________________________________________________________
2. Katipunan
(Deroca, 2015)
Katipunan by Carlos “Botong” Francisco exemplifies a historic revolutionary in the Philippines. As seen in the painting, it is Andres Bonifacio and his KKK members going into the revolution with the KKK flag. There are also women in the upper left corner that shows them treating their husbands from the revolution. Andres Bonifacio was holding an itak or a small sword and a gun on the other hand. While the other man was holding their choice of weapon.
There is a fire above the painting that shows the fiery revolution against the Spaniards. This painting shows an asymmetrical balance because Andres Bonifacio was only one emphasized and the other men were as almost the size of Andres Bonifacio to show who were the main people during the revolution. Aside from this, when you look at the painting the color of the KKK flag can be easily be spotted because of the darkness of the color red. This shows also a value of variety with its overlapping of objects and sizing.

3. The Martyrdom of Rizal
(Fabros, 2014)
The Martyrdom of Rizal Mural, completed in 1960, is one of Carlos “Botong” V. Francisco's most well-known works. He was proclaimed the Philippine National Artist for Visual Arts in 1973. Francisco is best known for his monumental murals portraying historical events in the Philippines. The mural portrays the execution of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal on December 30, 1896, at Bagong Bayan (now Rizal Park). Fort Santiago commissioned the mural as part of the Rizal Shrine. Rizal's death was a momentous date in our nation as it culminated nationalism and some kind of social change or redemption in our societies as a community.
Jose Rizal's final moments before his execution are depicted in the painting in five (5) significant images: (1) The Trial of Rizal (2) Rizal's Last Farewell (also depicted in Rody Herrera's oil on canvas painting "Huling Paalam," which was awarded First Place in the Jose Rizal Centennial Painting Competition in 1961). (3) Rizal composed the farewell poem Mi Ultimo Adios (My Last Farewell) Rizal's Last Walk and Rizal's Execution in Bagumbayan are two of his most famous works.
________________________________________________________________
4. Magpupukot
(Pinoyartshub, 2018)
"Magpupukot,” which basically means to "Pulling in the Net," is one of Botong's most well-known works. The scene depicted in the painting shows a group of fishermen practically casting and dragging their nets in while sailing inside a small wooden kayak boat, obviously taking the opportunity to haul in the day's catch. As a result, it was thought to be inspired by his hometown of Angono, Rizal, where a fishing village was located near their home. Botong's favorite subjects to paint were the lives of the fisheries sector. The Filipino people's deeply held values and rituals have become a medium for him, allowing him to use his unique style to create new imagery.
This fascination with history piqued his interest in learning more about the Filipino past, which provided him with useful information. Warm tones are used in the drawing, giving it a pleasing saturation. His visual enactments honor his culture's creative origins, and his photographs are inspired by the Filipino people's zealous commitment and vibrant colors. _______________________________________________________________
5. The Progress of Medicine in the Philippines
(TravelswithCherie, 2018)
The Progress of Medicine in the Philippines is a set of four oil paintings on canvas commissioned for the main entrance hall of the Philippine General Hospital in Manila by Philippine National Artist Carlos V. Francisco in 1953. (Barns, 2016). The artworks were in "serious decay" at the turn of the century due to heat, humidity, dirt, dust, smoke, insect stains, grime, termites, and an oxidized synthetic resin used in an earlier restoration due to their location. These canvases have been restored three times, the most recent in 2006, with funding provided by the US Department of State's Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation. The paintings were loaned to the National Museum of the Philippines by PGH and the University of the Philippines in 2010, so they could be exhibited in a stable manner and properly preserved.
Predicated on our analysis, the first painting portrays a pre-colonial Philippines babaylan (female shaman) leading a healing ceremony with her hands raised. The villagers are assembled all around the sick man, led by their chief, and a fire is lit for the pig's sacrificial offering (lower right corner in foreground). The arrival of the Spaniards in the Philippines is depicted in the second painting, which features two monks. They are the painting's key figures. The third painting depicts a scene from the American Period in which two men hide under a plant to avoid being inoculated, while a group of men in the foreground gather dead rodents after fumigation. The fourth painting depicts the defining features of modern medicine, such as surgery, radiation, laboratory research, medical equipment, and hospitals. Botong uses common elements like flora and clouds to link the four tables. _______________________________________________________________ Source(s):  Barns, J., (2016). Carlos V. Dental awareness month...
Regret or follow!!
Tumblr media
Oral cancer awareness month — April is the month called to be Oral Cancer Awareness Month; it’s a time when dental professionals or dentists come together or get mustered with the surgeons and other medical professionals and doctors to highlight the causes and dangers oral cancer brings and to put on the attention to the progress of solutions made in fighting and winning the battle over this disease.
In brief, let’s know the signs and symptoms that are often seen and are predominantly caused by excessive use of tobacco and alcohol.
Sore or ulcers that doesn’t get fine in 2 weeks
Abnormality causing bleeding when touched
Discoloration of the soft tissues of the mouth of red, white, and black
A lump or hard spot in the tissues.
Lump developing in the mouth
A painless, fixed, and firm lump that you feel on the outside of your neck, which has been there for more than two weeks
Sore under dentures that don’t even heal adjustments.
There are even other signs and symptoms, too, but they seem to be few common ones. Each April, Many of the nation’s top dental associations join together with the Oral Cancer Foundation to raise awareness for oral and oropharyngeal cancers. Many dental professionals and dentists around the country open their offices and dental clinics to do free screenings and checkups to the public during this month each year. This is an important reminder that when these cancers are detected and treated early, mortality and treatment are reduced, and it is far. It is to win over them as early as possible, as it multiplies into a more complex one with time. As better teeth will make for better health, says the top dentist in Dwarka.
National dental hygiene month- October is said to be the national Dental hygiene appreciations month. But let’s firstly know how this came to be. The American Dental Hygienists’ Association saw a growing and increasing connection in oral health and whole-body wellness and a rapid and steady decline in the dental health of patients. To bring the focus back to preventative measures and solve this complexity both at home and in the dental office, they decided to partner with Wrigley ( A chewing gum company!) to establish the National Dental Hygiene Month, with the first month occurring in 2009. Since its establishment, it’s even been used as an opportunity to celebrate, cherish, and recognize the incredible work the dental hygienists or dentists do to improve patients’ dental health and educate them regarding and keeping their teeth and gums in better, healthier condition. Isn’t it interesting to read that the dental hygienist does even the following apart from the surgery and parting knowledge.
Teeth cleaning and tartar removal
Preliminary examination
Taking blood pressure and pulse
Fluoride treatments for kids
Administering a local anesthesia
Patient education
Taking dental x-rays
One must keep up with dental hygiene as a genuine smile is when both mouth and heart coordinate. So just giving snapshots of the best smile, one must make dental hygiene a top priority. Let’s look at the secret tips to unlock the dental hygiene suggested by park dental, the top dental clinic in Dwarka.
Brushing the teeth twice a day for at least 2 min
Flossing daily, taking care of the procedure to remove debris stuck
Drinking a lot of water to keep yourself hydrated, mouth rinsed, and increased saliva production to remove bacteria and particles.
Chewing sugarless gums to reduce decay
Avoid food and drinks that damage dental health like cigarettes, tobacco, hard candy, soda, etc.
Scheduling routine dental checkups and cleaning says top dentist in Dwarka.
National children’s dental health month- February. The ADA’s Children’s Dental Health Day was first celebrated on February 8, 1949, and continues to celebrate today. Children’s dental health continues to be promoted throughout February for National Children’s Dental Health Month (NCDHM). Celebrating children’s oral health awareness is incredibly important for the community to spread awareness and educate people about it. Tooth decay remains the most common chronic childhood disease, which almost every one of us has either gone through or seen our mates tolerating. These educational programs and prevention awareness meets will surely help motivate more parents and other adults to recognize the seriousness of children’s dental disease and helping them to get out of the sugary trap. Children’s health months are critical because NCDHM raises awareness programs to teach and helps children realize the importance of good oral habits early to ensure a lifetime of healthy and cheerful smiles. Making an appointment with the dentist and getting a checkup done is the best and easiest way to celebrate the month. A child should be encouraged to visit a dentist every six months and get a cleaning done. As we know, a drop and drop adds to make the ocean. And a little effort each day will surely give massive results one day…
brushing teeth properly,
brushing gently and not scratching them hardly,
Brushing two times a day at least.
Rising mouth before bed.
Keeping the children hydrated and avoiding sugary drinks, instead of motivating them for normal water, herbal drinks or lemon water, etc.
Snacking Snacks like calcium rick snacks like cheese or low sugar yogurt instead of candies, bars, etc. Change toothbrushes; even toothbrushes will induce them to care about them and make Caring about teeth a little more fun.
So start Caring for your smiling and shining teeth and gums cause when fortune turns against you, even jelly breaks your teeth. So what are you waiting for, it’s better to get a little more health-conscious and turn the fortune for you, and don’t forget to smile and shine with no flaws, says top dentist at park dental clinic, Dwarka.

Orion Digest №30 — The Imperative to Build a Better Future
The view of the world as cruel and unfair has unfortunately become commonplace. Largely in relation to the political problems listed last issue, most people have become more and more accustomed to the idea that things will continue to get worse rather than better, and that trying to savor what precious little time we have left and escape from the madness is the best option available. It’s not without reason, but it is largely a defeatist argument, because the task of fixing what we have done seems so big, and so impossible, that most people think there is no way that, even united, we could. However, it is not a question of whether or not we can. We simply have to.
Below the level of political turmoil that the world is embroiled in, on a societal level, there is disarray, more consequences of the antagonistic and conflictive system humanity has built. This one is written deep, on the human psyche — not universal and absolute, but a common idea that it is not in humanity’s nature to coexist peacefully. What follows from that assumption is inherent distrust of other people, bids for power and disregard for the wants and needs of others — an inclination to look out for oneself rather than to put faith and trust in their community. People carry weapons of war because they don’t believe they can walk around without being attacked, and people do attack them because the attackers believe society is cruel, and that taking what they want is the only way to get it. As with the issue of world peace, this is not unfounded — unless everyone were to have faith in one another, people used to these ideas would still act as they always have, acting in their own self interest out of fear that everyone else would do the same.
Worse yet, despite the many years we have had to change and learn, our grasp of concepts like equality and respect remain loose, with most nations still behind on the idea of civil rights and discrimination. Some lessons take long to learn; treating people like humans no matter their identity should not be one of them. It is not even kindness to provide people the same opportunity to succeed as anyone else; it is basic decency, and when we cannot even accomplish that, it is clear that the time has come for a change. But with such institutionalized concepts as discrimination and fear, it is much more difficult than a government to take down. Rather, it will take not just the opportunity, but the trust of the world to build a better future in order for us to break down those barriers we have created, to learn to trust each other.
People have power, and the causes and realities they choose to throw their weight against are those that achieve success. The difficult task provided to us is that we need to provide people hope, an idea that they don’t have to fight to survive against the rest of the world, while also needing people that believe in the cause to help us accomplish things that provide them with hope. While this means that getting that initial push is difficult, it also means that the more people willing to take the first step, to embrace the idea that this system — the economics, the politics, all these stigmas and stereotypes and labels — is not all there is and ever will be, the more we can show others the possibility of a world not dominated by such fearful things as defeatism and complacency.
Every day, we edge closer to a higher level of societal understanding — the fact that we know now that such practices and behaviors are immoral shows that we’ve learned and grown from our past mistakes as a species and a global society. However, at this point, we still have a decaying relic of our past transgressions that we feel largely unable to overcome, and much of the world still has some catching up to do. To make it through before our past destruction renders us extinct, we need to be moving much faster, and the enormity of the task causes people to falter, to assume that no mountain that big could ever be moved. But it’s that exact belief that is the deciding factor — how many people are willing to lie down and die in the face of the mountain, and how many are willing to take a risk and push?
Just as we have a moral imperative to change or even replace a society that does not work for its citizens, we also have a moral imperative to serve as a positive example, to lead and guide us to a place where can both politically and socially lay the foundation for a greener, fairer, and better future. To say we simply need unity would be to ignore the evident corruption — we cannot move forward without learning from the hardships of the past, because if we continue to fear and hate each other, we will just be standing in our own way, allowing incompetent social structure to let the masses starve and die. No, we must be both united and fully aware of the human condition, so we can seek to improve it.
While guiding modern society to transition us to the society of a future is a very vague mission, many of the basic concepts are not new to us. The idea that all people, regardless of where they are born, what they look like, who they love, who they identify as, and what they believe in should deserve equal opportunity and basic treatment is one that would make a world of difference if genuinely respected and upheld. Furthermore, the idea that these same people deserve the ability to either work reasonable hours and have time for leisure, or be fairly compensated if they are unable to work, so that their basic needs may be met, is another that would revolutionize the modern world. Recognition of society’s flaws and the possibility of fixing them is another idea that would need to become common in the first place if we were to gain any ground.
On every level, we have become deluded of our place in the world. We, the human race, are a family that lives together on the Earth, and we have the means to construct a working system to organize our lives in a way that meets our needs from survival to self-actualization. However, in order to do that, we have to coexist and work with each other, as well as respect the balance between our own ambition and the limitations of nature. Earth is a big place, but it isn’t infinite, and so we must use our environment carefully, as well as get along with everyone around us, or else we turn this planet into a slowly burning hell. We didn’t understand all of that the first time we built human civilization, but after all these years, we’ve learned, and we can do better, together.
