Johnshi HCs

I'm sorry most of these aren't explicitly romantic I just have so many HCs about the two of them it's driving me crazy.

Johnny holds Kenshi by the waist, Kenshi holds Johnny by the shoulder or the bicep. After some time Kenshi starts to go for his hand instead.

Johnny is on his phone all of the time. Kenshi will either avoid the internet for a week or plays chess on the computer at the kitchen table for a day straight without talking to anyone (secretly uses Sento for this).

Kenshi has good spirits (literally) when it comes to his blindness, but can get very defensive when others pity him for it. Johnny is the only other person he will let touch his blindfold, take it off, or wash it.

Kenshi doesn't love the name "Johnny Cage" and thinks that "John Carlton" suits him. Johnny thinks that it sounds like an "old man's name"

Kenshi would visit Johnny on set sometimes but not say or do anything but sit in the background and watch him in silence until he was done.

Speaking of that- Kenshi had a good time filming in Outworld for Johnny's movie (made him feel like an action hero), but absolutely refused to watch the parts he was in.

Kenshi thought Johnny's movies were mostly cheesy before and after meeting him. However, he ended up rewatching all of them and got excited when there was news he got cast for a new one (before they started to officially date).

Johnny was a pretty good student growing up who made A's and B's as per expectations of his parents but hated school because he got picked on. He got into a decent university where he ended up falling in love with physics. He accidentally became famous around the time he was 20 (maybe he got street casted and went viral?) and had to balance acting with school to get his pHD. He is that school's most famous alumni.

Kenshi was mostly homeschooled by his parents and did not show much attention in academics in his youth due to his intense upbringing in the yakuza. This is something that he regrets but accepts that it wasn't really his choice to begin with. However he is quite knowledgable, knows broadly about history and literature, and can speak multiple languages (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, English, Spanish). He also learns braille relatively fast after losing eyesight.

Kenshi thinks it's so hot that Johnny has a pHD but also thinks its so strange he doesn't do anything with it. (It's a backup plan so he can write textbooks if his career tanks)

Johnny is great at drawing due to it being a hobby growing up stemming from him being a major comic book fan. Kenshi isn't very artistic however used to be able to do mediocre calligraphy (a skill he learned from his parents) before he became blind.

Kenshi breaking into Cage Mansion the second Cris left was admittedly pretty awkward for him (but he was too distracted by Sento to rly care).

Kenshi tries to not let it get to him, but he is saddened by the fact he cannot read properly anymore. Johnny tries to support him by buying him every audiobook in every language he understands. Kenshi will sometimes ask Johnny to read to him mostly because he loves the sound of his voice.

At first, Kenshi tried to get Sento to help him with daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, etc.), but after talking to Kuai Liang he tries not to rely on Sento on anything non-kombat related.

Kenshi has a slight lisp (I'm sorryyyy this isn't rly a hc but you can hear it in his intro dialogues he still sounds like a badass tho i think it's super cute thank god for Vic Chao)

Johnny makes their home a "smart home" a.k.a 30 Alexas in every room of their place, and a Samsung fridge he can live tweet from while making green juice.

Kenshi sometimes used to drive with Sento in the back seat and got arrested for it one time. Now he gets told off by Johnny for it every time he tries it again.

Kenshi will only drink milky coffee (lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) and prefers tea. Johnny hates coffee and tea and pounds red bull in the morning.

Kenshi used to care a lot about his personal style and mostly only wore suits and dress attire. After losing his eyesight, he didn't care as much anymore and just focused on wearing things that were comfortable (sweatpants, sweaters)

Johnny buys Kenshi soft fluffy things to wear all the time. Kenshi always says it's unnecessary but ends up wearing it anyway.

In MK1 Johnny is 32, and Kenshi is 39 (I like the idea of Kenshi being old it just makes sense to me). It both amuses and horrifies Kenshi that he's dating a white man 7 yrs his junior.

Johnny calls him "old man Takahashi" and Kenshi just goes along with it and says "get off my lawn you punk" or something LOL

I think Kenshi was more of the brawny "tough guy" of the yakuza than the suave, seductive type. He has more of an awkward and stony personality. And the fact that he was desperate to get out makes me think he wouldn't entertain the "flirty" role of the job. (a.k.a Kenshi is BAD at flirting unlike a certain someone)

Johnny sometimes helps Kenshis clunky azz samurai gear on before he engages in kombat. Johnny is also the reason Kenshi sometimes gives up and just wears a suit.

Kenshi shops like an old Asian dad. LOVES Costco, will eat all of the samples. Will buy everything on sale even if he doesn't need it. Will not take Johnny with him because his megastardom ruins the peace of being unrecognized. Has taken Raiden with him though. Will use Johnny's credit card. Johnny is dismayed that he hasn't taken a liking to Erewhon and Whole Foods

When Johnny isn't there with him at night Kenshi will play his movies and fall asleep to the sound of his voice

Kenshi will have sex with the blindfold on. He will fall asleep next to Johnny with it off.

Kenshi doesn't like sleeping with the blindfold on, but was worried it would scare or disgust Johnny in some way. It doesn't and it never did. In fact, Johnny appreciates the intimacy that it creates.

johnny, lao and raiden absolutely adore flustering kenshi-

johnny does it with stupid jokes, sultry tones, and by grabbing kenshi's face or tilting his chin up- always a teasing tone when he cracks an inappropriate joke, always these grand admissions in such a deep, rich voice. always reminding kenshi of johnny's claim over him, voice sometimes growlier than strictly necessary, but it gets kenshi's heart to flutter. and whenever johnny tilted his chin up, even with just a hum, kenshi was done for, face done up in watercolor splotches of reds and pinks, lips parted as johnny makes him wait for the actor's affections

kung lao does it with firmer touches, teasing remarks, and pulling kenshi to dance or sing with him- even just passing by, lao will give kenshi's thigh or shoulder or arm a squeeze as he goes, sometimes a whistle of appreciation right after, always asking kenshi to repeat himself when he says smth that could be taken as an innuendo, and whenever he's playing music in the kitchen or in his room and kenshi appears, suddenly every song is a duet and kenshi finds himself tripping over his feet as lao swings them this way and that- his cheeks hot and almost blending into his blindfold, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips at kung lao's antics

raiden does it with feather light touches, soft, sweet admissions, and by feeding him- always brushing by kenshi, their shoulders, their thighs, their hands, even brushing or fixing kenshi's hair, anywhere raiden can reach with ease. in moments of silence, or whenever raiden call pull him aside, kenshi is told how much he's loved, is blessed by raiden's poetic words and phrasing, his hands and wrists peppered with kisses as raiden pours his heart out in his words. and kenshi is brought plates of fruit and cheese, and even meats when raiden is feeling extra, and kenshi is doted on like a prince, fed bits of food while he works on something that requires his hands- and kenshi's left with his heart hammering in his chest, his face and neck bloomed with color, his ears even tinted red while raiden spoils him with his words and actions

and everytime kenshi's face is left red by one of them, another comes out of no where to make it worse, kenshi's face hot and painted bright red for hours at a time, annoyed but even more so endeared by his boyfriends and their antics- the swordsman has never been easy to fluster, and it really does take a team effort to get him to finally melt, but his boyfriends think it's worth it to see kenshi at the end of the day, face still red from their efforts, finally relaxed and content in the cuddle pile he had purposefully been put in the middle of <3

Do you ever think about what if Johnny Cage tried to use his quantum physics PhD to figure out how to fully restore Kenshi Takahashi's vision using Sento

Like I can imagine Cage pestering Takahashi about his theories and how he could help Takahashi by using all his quantum knowledge and Takahashi is just like 'Cage, please, I'm more than grateful that Sento has restored my vision even if it's not like before. It's okay.'

johnshi/kenshi enjoyers i need help understanding smth for fanfics. bear with me im v forgetful

so obviously despite having his whole entire eyeballs ripped out he can still see thanks to sento/his ancestors, we've seen this when he was fighting Ermac and in Sun Do when he could see Syzoth running around (and we sorta saw it in the krypt in mk11? just that it was through his headband itself not through sento/his ancestors guiding him with sento) (also this seems to be something people forget ghfbg) so obviously he can see and he can see A LOT

But I need to know specifics. Kenshi couldn't see until sento was given to him and even then he had to get knocked on his ass before his ancestors helped him see Ermac. So how does it work? Is it part of his telekinesis and it just wasn't unlocked until sento was given back to him? or is it through Sento and his ancestors that he can see? And if he were to not have sento on him at the moment would he go back to being blind again? or can he just turn his vision on and off (because i swear some dialogue makes it sound like that)? does the bluetooth need to connected!?

How exactly does it work do we have any like canon context or popular headcanons or what? how does his vision work?

About the whole AU:

- Both are in the yakuza, Kenshi is the oyabun (the leader of this whole organization). This organization is spread all over Tokyo and every other gang is afraid of them.

- They deal with all types of crime except r*pe, because Kenshi considers it unforgivable, Johnny too. No matter how dangerous they are, they never k1ll innocents.

- One day, Johnny was in danger while leaving a bar drunk, and Kenshi saved his life. They stayed together and it turned out that Johnny suffered from depression because his wife left him. He was in Tokyo because of filming. Slowly, Kenshi fell in love with Johnny and started helping him in every way he can, so lovesick Johnny was slowly absorbed into Kenshi's fledgling organization. Everything was kept secret.

- Kenshi and Johnny are both very rich, so they live in a huge house in a hidden part of Tokyo.

- Kenshi taught Johnny how to help him run the business, and it turned out that he could also be of great use as an assassin due to Johnny's brutal fists.

- Johnny gave up his entire career for Kenshi. He disappeared from the TV screens and forgotted his name with the wider world.

- He also changed his name to Johnny Cage from John Carlton because of that

- Kenshi is not completely blind, but he needs Sento's help to see normally

OoD Johnny:

Backstory:

Johnny was an actor, he also had a wife who left him. After that, Johnny tried to move on by filming in new places, so he chose Tokyo. Just like other usual evenings, one day he got drunk there and got into a fight with a couple of street guys, who beat him bloody. Kenshi noticed this on the way home and immediately went to help Johnny. He took him home and started treating the wounds that Johnny got. He stayed with him all night, not knowing what to do, and the next morning they discussed what had happened. Johnny was very grateful to him and Kenshi insisted that they keep in touch. Months then years pass like this and Johnny slowly got into Kenshi's heart and then into the yakuza too.

Personality:

- crazy villain but still emotional

- He completely changed after meeting Kenshi

- He makes decisive and well-planned decisions, he is actually a genius

- Funny and always joking in serious situations

- Deep down there's an insecure John Carlton but just very very deep down

- He gets angry easily, and when he's angry, he creates a lot of drama

- He never cared about homophobes, he always knew that he was bi, a very confident and romantic person

- His love language is physical touch, but he is easily gets flustered when Kenshi flirts with him with gentle and kind words

Habits:

- Not a morning person

- he loves to bathe with Kenshi or just alone, I imagine they have a huge bathroom with a big gold ornate bathtub and a chandelier, plants everywhere. He thinks its so fancy.

- Definitely a cuddler, but he doesn't talk about it because it's not a badass thing

- He likes to party with or without Kenshi

- His fav drink is malibu with pineapple juice

- He also does the paperwork since Kenshi can't see properly, he also loves cooking

- Kenshi is usually very busy, so he also does the laundry when the cleaners can't do it

- He never makes mistakes when it comes to m*rder. He doesn't proud of it but he loves Kenshi too much to care about these things.

- He is very harsh with people, even his own close friends in the gang

Clothes:

- He likes the color blue, but since Kenshi's fav is red, sometimes he wears red as well too

OoD Kenshi:

Backstory:

He never had a lover as he was too busy trying to take over the organization from his father. He didn't want to be a gangster, but fate wanted it that way, which led to the fact that he became the most famous among the other gangs. When he met Johnny, something changed in him.

Personality:

- He is so badass like a true oyabun

- He knows no mercy, only because of Johnny he holds himself back sometimes

- He is better with words than actions

- He was born visually impaired, he hates that sometimes he needs help he finds it annoying (but there's Sento for him)

- hates pity ofc

- Not very emotional, only with Johnny. He thinks that in a profession like this, it is better to turn off your emotions sometimes.

Habits:

- he always preferred showering, but he loves bathing with Johnny for hours (he has to because Johnny wants the princess treatment)

- he has been smoking since he was 17 years old. Johnny only smokes when he is upset or when he just wants to be in heaven for a while

- He slept like a statue until now, but otherwise he likes to cuddle with Johnny late at night (he doesn't have a choice)

- morning person because he has a lot to do every day

- If he's not sending Johnny to take care of someone, he'll go with his katana himself

- A very silent killer, everyone is afraid of him

Clothes:

- He loves red, even his mansion is red themed and fancy

Relationship:

- At first it was very new to Kenshi

- Johnny didn't fully trust Kenshi at first because he thought he would just take advantage of him. But Kenshi quickly showed him that he could trust him and that he loves him with all his heart

- Their love is sometimes very chaotic and romantic at the same time

- They form a very iconic pair among gangsters, many people only refer to them as the blue-red couple

- They are ready to die for each other at any time

- Kenshi never thought about whether he was gay or not, freestyle, he just fell in love

- Kenshi is the more dominant partner of the couple although it doesn't show, Johnny likes to take the lead when it comes to discussions with others

- Kenshi was obsessed with Johnny at first it was almost scary

- Both of them are crazy but so lovelydovley

Angst:

- Kenshi is often very busy and doesn't have time for Johnny, so Johnny feels ignored

- Kenshi also has a hard time showing his emotions, mostly only succeeding in bed

- Johnny doesn't like being called a wh*re (only likes it when Kenshi says it)

- Johnny only had one breakdown where he actually cried when he had a big fight with Kenshi

- Kenshi sometimes hates the things he has to sacrifice or do
