as always if any of this information is incorrect or outdated, please feel free to correct me in a reblog or an ask and i'll update the information in this post. i'll try to keep up with any new companies that are brought up on the twitter account mentioned at the beginning of this post. i'm not here to call for a boycott of every artist mentioned here because i don't feel i am in the position to do so, but i'm not discouraging you from choosing to do so. in fact i encourage you to listen to these artists unofficially at the very least.
i'm not sure the extent to which these companies get revenue from these artists, i don't know if it's just streams or if other things like merch sales and youtube views contribute but quite a few of these artists' companies are being boycotted currently or in the near future anyway, so i would suggest you not buy any merch or watch youtube videos officially from them. this post has more info on downloading music, youtube videos (with subtitles), and the boycotts i mentioned so i hope you all will check that out too. tris @bandzboy has also been posting about and sharing twitter posts about zionism in music, especially in the kpop industry so i suggest you check out her blog as well

--------------------------------------------------------------
Pile 1 - The Keystone 🔐
Overall Tarot Card: The Hanged Man
The Right Hand Man, or should I say, The Right Hanged Man 😉🤫😂
Tumblr media
-reliable
-dependable
-employee of the year vibes
-overachiever
-popular
-great multi-tasker
-adaptable
You are the coworker that everyone can count on to cover their shifts in case an emergency occurs for them. You may juggle lots of things and have a lot going on in life but you do it with ease and elegance. Your coworkers see you in a really good light but it's a little unrealistic. Very idealistic view of who you are. It's giving me Super Woman vibes. Your coworkers see you as someone who does very well under pressure. Someone who can handle a large work load all on your own with or without the help of others. Some may think you have the perfect life with absolutely no problems because everything seems to be so effortless and easy for you. Your coworkers see you as very flexible and adaptable. You barely ask for help but are always willing to help when asked. Your coworkers may have a tendency to take advantage of this willing spirit and flexibility of yours but you are like an endless well of love that never stops giving. A lot of your coworkers see you as a relief from the stresses of the workload. If they are working with you that day, they know it's going to be an easier shift to get through. When you are not around, the shift drags on for what seems like forever. Your coworkers really enjoy your presence and for a second you make them forget about their worries. Some of your coworkers are a little jealous at your flexible and free life style but worry not, my dear. Their opinion ain't got shit to do with you lmao. Your presence makes the entire work environment more enjoyable. You sacrifice a lot for your job, for your company and for your position. A lot of your coworkers feel you take your job a little too seriously but they are also the same coworkers who crave the respect that you have because of your serious nature. You are able to solve any problem in the job field under any pressure. No pressure is too heavy for you, at least that's what it looks like on the outside. You have the potential to climb very high in any company that you are apart of.

Pile 2 - Incognito 🥸
The Overall Tarot Card: Rev. Tower
The Mysterious One 😏
Tumblr media
☮️😂
-mediator
-level headed
-calm
-serene
-stable
-very quiet and reserved
-observant
-hot tempered at times
You could be working in an environment where you constantly have to prove yourself. Maybe the company you work for is lucrative or the field is competitive. But I'm seeing a lot of effort going towards proving your self worth. This could have led to arguments or disagreements other coworkers had with you and vice versa. However, they have seen you transform and tame yourself in a very short amount of time. You have become very mysterious and your coworkers are so eager to know what goes on in your life. You seem more stable and more financially secure. Your coworkers can be investigating you on the low. Searching your name in all social media and Google search boxes trying to find anything about you. They may mention your name in conversations with people outside of the job environment. You are very mysterious and hidden. Your coworkers don't really know what to think about you, to be honest. You may be misjudged and misunderstood by your coworkers quite often. But overtime as your true colors are revealed, they start to understand why you stopped fucking with dey fake asses. Cuz, hello? Who did they think they were playing with? Fucking Big Bird? be fucking for real right now😑. Anywho, your coworkers also feel like you have strong boundaries. You like to keep your home life at home. At work, you keep everything strictly business. People respect and admire that about you and wish they could have that characteristic within themselves. You are viewed as setting a standard. As much as people want to respect your privacy, they cannot help but feel the urge to know more about you. The gist of this all, is that your coworkers highly admire you but may overstep their bounds with you if you don't remain true to your boundaries.
Your coworkers are highly entranced and entertained by you. You may be an individual who transforms and changes many times in the shortest amount of time. There's always something brand new with you. Most of your coworkers live a very mundane lifestyle so a lot of them love to live vicariously through you. You are a dream. A fairytale. A fantasy. Can't really get a good grasp over who you are. You're so real it seems unreal.
Channelled Song: Mysterious Girl by Peter Andre

Pile 3 - The Class Clown 🤡
You are the Comedic Relief 🤣🤡
Tumblr media
-funny AF. Like I'm just barely channelling this energy and y'all already got a bitch cracking tf up! I'm so dead and I don't even know why, dafuqqqq? 🤣🤣🤣
-light hearted energy
-your life's battle scars shine brightly through you
-hope and life
You are the coworker that has probably gained a reputation of being a little bit lazy but a really good time 🤣🤣🤣 I'm hearing, "this guy does the bare minimum but boy is he hilarious!". Your personality definitely makes up for your lack of work ethic, and I hope you don't take that personally 🤣🤣 However, you are so relatable and personable. You can get along with anybody ranging from the newbies to the higher-ups. You are a shape shifter as its finest. It is your witty sense of humor that brings all walks of life, together. People don't care about your work ethic after a while because your presence alone elevates them as an individual. They love having you around. In fact, your coworkers would pick up any type of slack just to have you at work. Your coworkers want to serve you and help you succeed at this job. Your sense of humor really heals a lot of your coworkers, I don't think you fully realize it. You help people take a step away from their emotions and laugh at the situation instead of mopping over it. Your sense of humor helps the higher ups zoom out a little and release a bit of control when necessary. Your sense of humor pushes the newbies to laugh at their outrageous mistakes to push them to be a better worker moving forward. You make the work force a place that makes your coworkers happy to be at. Before you arrived, your coworkers felt like they were sleepwalking through time. When you popped up, you added color, a pep to everyone's step and you woke everybody up through laughter.
Dammmnnnn, y'all are mf GEMS! Y'all might be very attractive but super humble. Your coworkers see you as someone who isn't power hungry. They view you as being someone who is content with the position they currently hold and don't care to be a leader lol with less responsibility, means more time to tell jokes 😂 people may not take you seriously....like ever but it's fine because 99.99% of the time you're not being serious 🤣 I love this vibe. I love this energy! Stay blessed 😘

On Ron Staedtler as a Character: A Broken Rebel or Selfish Asshole? (Spoiler warning for Inside Job Season 2 plus TW mentions of Su!c!de)
Tumblr media
Man what a title to start this essay on. I binged Inside Job because a friend of mine here introduced me to the show on New Years Eve and to say that I love the show is an understatement. It's what you get when you throw Rick & Mory, The Office, and Gravity Falls into a blender. A very fun, very emotional, and very interesting animated series.
In this essay we'll be discussing the keystone character of the second season and the romantic interest of protagonist Reagan Ripley, Ronald (Ron) Staedtler. The director of the Illuminati's (Cognito's rival company) Mind Erasure division. When the illuminati messes up and needs to prevent secrets from getting out, they send in Ron, who more or less comes across as their assassin. Him and Reagan initially start off as hostile towards each other but very quickly grow an enemies-to-lovers relationship.
I want to analyze Ron on a bit of a deeper level in this mind dump/thought essay and see what everyone else thinks. So enjoy!
Tumblr media
I want to start this first portion by highlighting just how many similarities these two have. They were very intentional in making it known that these two have an almost immediate attraction to each other because of their similarities.
Both have very similar physical characteristics to the point that it looks like Ron is basically just a male version of Reagan. Darker hair, darker skin complexion, similar shaped eyes and nose. (I headcanon that Ron is also Biracial just like Reagan. Who is half-white, half-Japanese. Someone made a post saying Ron is Filipino and I'm running with that. Plus it explains him being raised Catholic.)
Both are upper-level managers at their respective companies, whom they both have a lot of personal issues with. (Reagan in Robotics, Ron in Mind Erasure)
Both are bitter cynics who tend to push people away out of fear of being rejected. A lot of this stemmed from family lives that were quite abusive. (Reagan being raised by two absolute narcissists, one of whom was such a tiger parent that he forcibly wiped Regan's memories of the one friend she ever had. And while we don't know anything really about Ron's family we know he's dealing with a lot of repressed religious trauma via his family's intense catholicism.)
The naming of these two also is a bit too ironic to be coincidental. Ronald (Ron) Staedtler and Reagan Ripley. Shion and Alex weren't even trying to be subtle with this one.
All this being said, it's clear that these two naturally gravitated towards each other and immediately had comparable chemistry with one another. All this being said the show also made it a point to emphasize that they were moving very quickly as a couple. Which almost assuredly is a red flag for things not being able to last.
Much to many people's surprise. The season ends after a rocky patch between Ron and Reagan with Ron deciding to finally take the steps to wipe his own memory. To finally rid himself of all the trauma he has received and to start over with a fresh, new, quiet life away from the Illuminati and all the conspiracies of the world being alive and well and trying to make water cooler office banter with him.
Tumblr media
I'm going to emphasize that this section has a trigger warning in that the show portrays how Ron views Mind Erasure against himself similar to how we would commonly view su!c!de and self harm. If this is something that you are not comfortable reading please by all means click off and do not subject yourself to what I am about to discuss.
The whole reason why Ron is in the Anonymous meeting at the beginning of Season 2 is because he got caught attempting to erase his own memories. Ron holds a lot of trauma and self-anger because of his job. Being the chief mind-eraser he has to bear with the weight of wiping the minds of individuals who came too close to finding out his company's secrets. Ron has pointed out to Reagan that this is something that weighs very heavily on his conscience.
When you look at Ron physically he's taller than Brett, has a similar musculature and build as Brett and in general comes across as much darker and much more imposing and intimidating. If Ron were in his cloak pointing his mind-eraser gun at me I would run for my damn life. And it's Ron's job to make sure that anyone who discovers the Illuminati's secrets has their mind wiped. At whatever cost is necessary. Ron has probably seen hundreds, if not thousands of innocent people run away from him with genuine, unadulterated fear for their lives in their eyes. These people must have thought Ron was coming to kill them. How many times must have Ron stared down at someone who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and watch them cry, sob, beg, and plead with Ron for their lives? Thankfully once their minds are wiped these people don't remember the horrifically traumatic events they were just put through, but you know who does remember? Ron.
It's this overwhelming guilt and general hatred for what he does that defines Ron as a character. While Ron and Reagan may have a lot of similarities. The key and largest difference between the two is the fact that Reagan believes she can fix the world and fix everything from the inside given the chance. Ron has given up the thought that he can change anything and instead actively works against the Illuminati in any way that won't draw enough attention to himself. Ron just wants to get away from everything but he knows too much to be let free and is too valuable an asset to be wiped. So he's stuck in his own hell of a job and the one time he's able to escape is with Reagan.
Tumblr media
I want to emphasize that I do not believe that Ron is in any way a bad person. If anything he, unlike many of the people in the show, actually has a genuine conscience and deeply regrets his actions of essentially being the Illuminati's grim reaper. However it must be said that Ron is ultimately selfish in wanting to take Reagan with her into his new life of his own creation. This is by no means saying that Ron is a coward for trying to leave and forget his life, with mind-erasure acting as a heavily handed metaphor for su!c!de. Reagan herself admits to this.
"You had a hard time, for a long time. But you did something brave. You took a chance on a new life because you realized you deserved one."
However Reagan was conflicted. She had the chance of a lifetime to finally gain the power in her work that she wanted. A chance to finally work with (and against) the Robes. But she had a chance to take all of her trauma, years of abuse from her family and her parents, to be with the man who she loved more than anything. So she had Alpha Beta run thousands of simulations for her, to see if she could find a happy ending with her as head of Cognito and with Ron. And thousands of times later, the answer was still no. The one time she found a solution was when Ron had no memories of the Illuminati, Cognito, The Robes, the Secret Societies, nothing. So Reagan made the biggest sacrifice she could. She let Ron wipe his own memory but chose not to join him. Giving him the chance to finally be free from his demons who kept him awake at night.
Tumblr media
This brings me back to my prompt. Is Ron an asshole for forcing Reagan to choose between her dreams and him? Not necessarily. I don't believe Ron ever intended on coming between Reagan and her goals, at least not intentionally. Ron was putting himself first which in itself is an act of selfishness but he did not wish to harm Reagan.
The image above from the Halloween episode to me is the best visual representation of this. Ron is forced to change into Brett's costume as Chris Angel. Having him wear a cross while he realizes the only way to save himself and Reagan is to use his mind-wiping abilities to stop the Cognito office from attacking Ron because they all fell in love with him. In this scene, Ron is holding his gun, representing his hatred of his occupation and all the trauma it has forced upon him. Plus he's wearing a cross while being all but shirtless, symbolizing his religious trauma.
It's no wonder that this shows when Reagan tries her best to convince Ron to work for Cognito, when his two most prevalent traumas are thrust upon him in a life-or-death situation that he finally snaps. He finally decides he can't take it anymore and he puts into motion his plan to end everything as Ron Staedtler and begin a new life with a clean slate and new identity. Because for all intents and purposes, at the end of Appleton when Ron wipes his own mind. The Ron Staedtler that we grew to know and love is dead. There's only Martin Higgins now. And we don't know who Martin Higgins is other than he leads a perfectly normal life in Appleton, Wisconsin, who will eventually get the life and love and family he deserves, it's just that Reagan Ripley will not be a part of that life.
Tumblr media
Ron Staedtler is a very complex character for all 6 or so episodes we have of him. Ron is a genuinely good person who got in over his head trying to find the answers to life and ended up becoming the last thing you see before you have your memory erased for looking too deep into something you shouldn't have. He's a deeply traumatized man who learned to live and love and helped Reagan Ripley learn to open up and love again. And while both Ron and Reagan wanted to change their situations. Ron had been so damaged and so broken by the time the opportunity came around to make a change that he chose to take his own way out. He created a new life for himself free from his traumas because he knew that he deserved it. However he prioritized himself over Reagan and chose to be free. Ron didn't know that Reagan had run thousands of simulations but came to the same conclusion every time. That no matter what they had done, so long as Reagan was still at Cognito, the two of them would have never been truly happy with one another.
If Reagan could create a situation where the two of them could be happy together Reagan would have given 110% of her to make it work. But she has to choose and she chose to go with Cognito and The Robes. I don't know if Ron would have chosen to continue with this plane if he knew Reagan had to make this choice. However it shows and attests much more to Reagan's character that she sacrifices her own happiness so Ron can be happy. Ron Staedtler was a deeply traumatized man who found the courage to be free. And that in itself is so powerful. I sincerely hope we see more of Ron, or Martin Higgins in the future.

M.E.R.C.s - 6 Guns
8-12-890 AR
Sever soaked in the view of Newland City’s night time skyline. Her cybernetic eye let her see in the darkest of night, and the light-saturated sky of New Yark was easy enough to see in without it, but seeing it from the top of the Bischel Megastructure in the capital sector-cluster was a special treat. The assassin stopped herself from getting too caught up in the magnificent view, though she did take some pictures with her cyber-eye for later. The heavy wind whipped the light silt on the wind all across the rooftop, and sent Sever’s unbuttoned coat aflutter. After spending the last three days climbing the elevator shafts and ductworks of the building it was only natural for her to need to soak in the fresh air at the top of the two hundredth story.
The dark-haired lady felt like she was on top of the world, and that the tower in front of her must have surely been scratching the bottom layer of Heaven. She checked the hook and line that were anchored to the building’s radio tower for a third time. It paid to be paranoid about these sorts of things. She was glad that her contact had left the enormous rope in the radio tower’s service station, hauling it up with her would have been a ridiculous task. Sever ensured that her Sable Foundation ribbon was in place on her shoulder before grabbing the zip-line handlebar with a cybernetic death grip; the last thing an S-Rank assassin like her needed was to end up as a smear on the New Yark pavement a kilometer downwards.
Carried by the wind, the cyborg woman ran and threw herself off the building’s edge, into the glimmering skyline of Newland’s capital.
***
None of it added up. In all his years as an investigator for the Bureau of Internal Security Director Brooks had yet to see a case this messy go unsolved. He had been at the Bureau for over two decades now, and this Cedar Center Massacre was taxing the limits of his patience and problem solving. The previous case dealing with the last Holiday bombing at the New Sky Incorporated tower in the LASC had been an open and shut case by comparison, even if it had taken weeks to pick through the rubble of the megastructure’s one hundred and twentieth floor.
He had been staying late after work hours for almost two months now to try to get to the heart of the case, but every time Brooks thought he had reached the bottom a new, yet more baffling piece of evidence would present itself. The Master Director of the Bureau had told Director Brooks to file away the case until useful evidence emerged. While he had publicly complied, Brooks kept working at the Cedar Center Massacre case file in private. Something about it had tantalized him this whole while. There had to be a missing keystone fact to the whole thing, but he couldn’t quite guess as to what in Heaven’s name it could be.
The basic facts of the case were simple enough, really. On 05-13-889 in the Cedar Center corporate sector, on the Condora Management Complex property, at approximately twenty past five in the evening on a Friday, gunshots were first reported. No direct footage of the assailants was recovered, but a number of different security cameras did show the Calhoun Security Services officers engaging in a firefight with the unknown assailants.
The assailants were a tight group who never broke formation, and covered one another for the entirety of their ingress and egress. They made their way to the managerial wing of the complex, murdered one Ashton Palmers, the head development officer of the Lake Newland branch of North City Manufacturing Conglomerate. Along the way the assailants also murdered twenty-seven CSS officers, sixteen members of various companies that had offices in the complex, and three janitors that were employed by the Condora Management Complex. After this massacre the assailants left via the building’s garbage chute, and fled into Newland’s subterranean canals before disappearing entirely, with each gunman presumably going a separate way.
Brooks lit another cigarette and sucked it back. Every time a new fact emerged it just skewed the case further into the territory of urban myth.
The lack of direct footage was because of a conspicuously inconvenient server malfunction that happened half an hour after the attack, and the complex’s server administrator had left one week before the incident on leave and never came back. The director hadn’t been surprised by this, really, something this large had to be premeditated. Of course, all investigations into that administrator’s identity were unable to determine if that person ever really existed, and nothing of value could be gained from scrubbing the physical server units. What footage that did exist showed each CSS member fighting and dying to gunshots by unknown assailants, as a number of Calhouns were slain simultaneously, by gunfire going in separate directions from the unseen attackers.
Then there was the matter of the murdered security officers themselves. The clones of the Calhoun Security Service were dogged protectors, and they had been joined by a number of the employees in the complex as well. Though not every dead employee had fought alongside the Calhouns, all of those that did fight back were ruthlessly slain.
The marksmanship of the attackers was alarmingly high, with each of their victims receiving no more than two or three shots to their vital locations. While a professional hitman could definitely be so accurate, the wide-scale precision murder was daunting, especially considering the breakneck pace that the squad of killers bowled through the building at. Brooks didn’t know of anyone outside of the United Zones Machine Corps that was that capable, but none of the shooters exhibited typical android giveaways so it was possible that they could have been heavily modified cyborgs. The Holy Mercenary Brigades were suspected at one point, but a number of the slain were devout Divinists, and the indiscriminate slaughter of non-Infernalites wasn’t something Holy Mercenaries regularly engaged in.
The number of victims was quite staggering, but the fact that all of them were utterly slain was even more troubling. Not a single eye-witness remained, with anyone who could have provided a firsthand account being dead when the Federal Police arrived on the scene. A number of other employees who had survived the firefight had only heard the raging storm of gunfire and hidden from sight until it had ended. Every single person who had seen the criminals was shot fatally, and the whole of the bloody path to the NCMC development officer was littered with .44 magnum shells.
While somewhat odd, each one of the assassins using something chambered in the same caliber wasn’t unreasonable. It would make supplying ammunition for their weapons easier, and also make it harder to track their ammunition if they had bought it in bulk. No reasonable paper trail had emerged for the sale of large amounts of .44 caliber rounds, and strangest of all, the cases recovered on the scene bore no maker’s mark or stamp, they were simply blank. Either they had been made that way in a secret mass order, or they had all been handloaded.
Director Brooks sighed and ashed his cigarette in the already filled tray. The apparent target of the hit, Ashton Palmers, was a man guaranteed to have all manner of enemies in life. Someone had to have a lot of enemies for their corpse to end up perforated by forty-something bullets. His competitive business strategies that had seen him rise to his position in North City’s ranks had also knocked down a lot of co-workers. Along with that his development projects had high turnover rates from “unappreciative conditions”, and the NCMC’s business practices under his leadership had garnered attention from both the CETF and the Department of Businesses. It seemed unlikely to Brooks that the Newland government would stoop to such bloody depths, but it wouldn’t be the first time the Self Defense Force’s elite operators or a Special Police Force had been used to advance someone’s agenda.
The modus operandi didn’t match any known military or policing force in Newland, and Brooks doubted that the affairs of a domestic company like NCMC would really rile up tensions abroad. The manufacturer was only known for civilian market vehicle production, and mostly exported to Souther Bay. While the intelligence agencies of both the Evernyy Union and the Shogaian Empire could certainly pull off something like this, that still left no real motive.
Finally, and perhaps most dauntingly, little if any of the attackers’ blood was recovered from the scene. The forensics lab had gained a number of samples from the complex, but all of them belonged to only one member of the gunmen’s team, and it matched no registered blood of any known criminal or blood donor. All that could really be determined was that it had belonged to a young, human woman. It seemed that this single member of the team had been injured, and that they’d stopped bleeding quite rapidly, perhaps due to some quick medical attention.
It was, altogether, a baffling puzzle. Brooks sat down heavily in his office chair and finished off his smoke before nestling it in with the crowd of other cigarette butts in the ashtray. He ran a hand over his bald head as he looked over the assembled evidence before him. The director had had all of the casefiles and data-disks on the Massacre brought to his office before it got sent to the archives, and it was still occupying most of the free space in the room. The case had six boxes of physical files and a number of supplementary digital ones on the Bureau’s database. The sheer amount of folders, reports, printouts, and other miscellaneous data had made the director’s room appear more like a filing cabinet than a BIS official’s corner office on the one hundred and second floor.
The organized chaos of the office was just how Director Brooks liked it. The corkboard and strings connecting his different trains of thought certainly looked like something a paranoid headcase with too much time on his hands would create, but Brooks knew it was leading to a breakthrough. He could feel that he was close to something, that he had brushed up on the form of the assailants in some manner, as though he were forming an outline of his target.
This outline only framed further, more mystifying questions. Why had all of the attackers exclusively used .44 caliber pistols? How had they covered their trail so expertly, in both a material and digital sense? Had each one of them lined up to take a turn shooting Palmers? Where had all of the ammunition come from and why was it all unmarked? How had only one member of the team suffered injuries? How had every single eye-witness been slain without exception?
There was some factor that he was missing, that much was certain. The director slid his chair over to the opposite side of his desk to use his phone. The night was still young, and he wanted some tea to keep him going while he made up a list of suspects and businesses to investigate on the next long weekend. As he picked up the receiver the dull tone of a down line came to his ear. It was late at night so repairs and refits were probably underway somewhere in the building. Director Brooks stood up and stretched, these late nights were going to be the death of him one of these days.
A dozen rounds sliced through the director’s broad, corner office window from the New Yark night, before the answer to all of his burning questions came crashing through the reinforced pane of glass. The explosion of shards littered the office with jagged, broken glass, in the middle of which stood a singular assassin. Director Brooks wheeled around, as the sudden gunfire, crash, and now the howling of the wind overwhelmed him, making him nearly lose his footing. He fell back against his desk, knocking down a small tower of evidence that scattered in the high-altitude wind. The director was at a loss for words, as in that moment everything about the Cedar Center Massacre made sense.
Silhouetted by the shimmering night skyline of the Capital Sector the cyborg killer was a distinct figure. Her messy black hair was tied back in a long braid, and her red and black jacket whipped in the wind alongside it. The cyborg’s round face may as well have been a mask, as she portrayed no emotion, and the stare from her biological eye was as blank as the one from her crimson, cybernetic sensor. The left arm sleeve of her coat bore a unique symbol that transfixed him, it was a circular glyph on a red ribbon. It was a symbol that had appeared throughout a number of other cases that involved high-profile murders, either on slain assailants, bullet casings, or even branded onto the assassination targets. It had to belong to some sort of organization or cabal, this would be the revelation he needed!
The crunch of glass crushed into the carpeted ground broke the director’s focus, as the cyborg repositioned herself from the landing. A number of glass shards had pierced her body, but the bleeding she was subject to was ending already, as her enhanced body cut off the blood flow from the injured parts. A sextet of large, highbore pistols were raised by the assassin’s six arms, and with each one being trained on the director’s center of mass.
The cyborg’s aim switched for a second and two pairs of shots rang out. The attacks were aimed behind the director, and though he was nearly frozen in terror Brooks tore his eyes away from the spectacle of the cyborg assassin to look over his shoulder. Two BIS security agents who had come to investigate the crash were already dead by the time he had turned his head, with each one having taken a round to the head and chest. The director began reaching for his pistol as he whipped back around, but his human speed was simply no match for the enhanced reflexes of a cyborg.
***
A fusillade of shots rang out as six black Heaven’s Dragons unleashed on the BIS director. Each individual shot certainly would have sufficed to end the man’s life, but this attack was about sending a message, rather than being efficient. When all six of Sever’s guns were empty the middle-aged man looked more akin to ground beef than a human being. One half of the office was coated with sprayed blood and a gentle snow of obliterated files that had been caught in the crossfire.
Sever holstered a few of her weapons and lit a match as the director’s shredded remains hit the floor. She touched the lit match to a few different files as her other arms reloaded her pistols. Before the match went out she stole a cigarette from the bloodied pack on the ex-director’s desk and lit it. The office was starting to go up, as the bundles of paper lit other stacks of files on fire, and all of them were fed by the whipping wind.
Crossing to the window the assassin grabbed a hold of her zip-line handlebar once more. It was time to leave, and she didn’t have enough bullets to fight her way down through a hundred floors of BIS agents. Sever looked to the skyscraper across the street from the Bischel Megastructure. She could easily clear the dozen or so meters between the massive buildings, and descending the neighboring Tostel Tower would be simple. She’d be in the New Yark underground before anyone even bothered checking the tower next door.
Sever charged out the shattered window, leaping once more into the neon night.

The First Annual WrestleMania Week 2024 Awards
The most interesting parts of WrestleMania Week 2024 were, as usual, in the shows that took place around Philadelphia this year. Though I didn't travel to Philadelphia for the shows, I tried to craft a path that covered as many of the most interesting shows that streamed as possible.
To start, let's acknowledge the shows that I was able to watch:
DEFY Wrestling: Can't Deny It
STARDOM: American Dream 2024 in the Keystone State
GCW Presents Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport X
The first half of the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow
ACTION Wrestling & Segunda Caida: DEAN~!!
Jersey Championship Wrestling: JCW & GCW vs. The World
ROH Supercard of Honor 2024
CMLL Super Viernes (April 5, 2024)
Let's also provide the caveats on the shows that were on my radar that I was not able to watch due to timing conflicts:
The second half of the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow
DDT Pro-Wrestling: DDT Goes Philadelphia
Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling: LIVE in Philly
Wrestling REVOLVER & Hog of Glory Wrestling
Game Changer Wrestling: Joey Janela's Spring Break 8
Expect the Unexpected: Unlock the Unexpected - ETU vs. Dragongate
The call to promoters who schedule shows around major AEW and WWE shows: I understand the need to schedule around those shows. I suspect the desire to competing against WWE SmackDown, ROH Supercard of Honor, WrestleMania XL Nights One and Two forced promoters to focus on Thursday night as the premier evening option of WrestleMania Week 2024. The point of the weekend is, presumably, to make money via ticket sales and through the streaming sales that a company would make. Forcing customers to choose your show over competing options limits the ticket and streaming sales and exposure that your company can get that week.
On Thursday night, I was able to give the Hitchcock Memorial Supershow about an hour of undivided attention before I switched to focus on DEAN~!!. I missed the DDT show completely, and given the pace of WrestleMania Week and wrestling in general, I will most likely never watch DDT's show (or any other show that I had to skip due to time conflict). That means that I won't even have the chance to forget about the widely praised KONOSUKE TAKESHITA vs. Shunma Katsumata and Mike Bailey vs. Yuki Ueno matches because I won't ever watch them. Had DDT's show taken place on Friday afternoon, it would have received undivided attention and possibly better ticket sales and more views on WrestleUniverse.
With that said, here are my reflections on this year's WrestleMania Week in the form of my supremely prestigious awards.
The "Best Pure Vibes" Award: ACTION Wrestling & Segunda Caida: DEAN~!!
I visited the Death Valley Driver Video Review Message Board fairly regularly when I was younger, but I never created an account or tried to participate because it seemed too intimidating. My horizons broadened by reading discussions and reviews on Segunda Caida, but I never felt like I had anything worthwhile to add because my wrestling viewing was limited to some syndicated WWF shows, some ECW, and mostly WWF and WCW. Nonetheless, I recognized the name "Dean Rasmussen" in the message board and SC reviews, and I was sorry to hear of his passing. DEAN~!! was held in Rasmussen's honor, and it was probably my favorite show of the week. It had a vision, and that vision was felt in the eclectic mix of matches on the card, the exuberant commentary from Dylan Hales and John Mosely. Wrestling promoters and fans will sometimes defend nonsensical character development and plots, cringeworthy comedy, and substandard wrestling by claiming that wrestling shows have to feel uneven because they're variety shows that offer a little something to everyone. DEAN~!! felt like a repudiation of that defense, a counterargument that wrestling itself can provide that buffet without relying on the tired tropes that companies trot out when they refuse to think of anything better.
These are a few of my favorite things from DEAN~!!:
Colby Corino's setup for and commitment to the headlock gimmick. He was a busy and tired man, so he tried to win using the basic move in his arsenal. That went fine for him until Alex Kane was able to use his dedication to worker smarter, not harder against him. The match combined comedy and action very well, and it's forced me to re-evaluate my impression of Corino from the days when he ran with Eddie Kingston, Joe Gacy, and Shane Strickland in Evolve as The Unwanted.
O'Shay Edwards for ending the match with a moonsault. When a man as large as Edwards lands on you, the match should be over, and it was, which meant that the match ended at the right time.
The Ugly Ducklings and Violence Is Forever for giving the crowd an unexpected sprint.
Tom Lawlor for his reticence to touch the disgusting, bloodstained canvas that was used for his match with One Called Manders against the Coven of the Goat. I wouldn't want to either.
Dr. Cerebro for having some of the best looking gear that I saw all weekend. The key details are the exposed brain and glasses sewn on his mask.
Avery Good, the IWTV Championship Committee, and ACTION for commissioning a slightly larger IWTV Independent World Championship belt. It's a good bit.
Krule and Jake Parnell for surpassing my low expectations for their match. It was overbooked, but it was overbooked in a good way, and Krule impressed the most since the show where he emerged from a cornfield.
Arez for being such an odd fellow. Master of the Strange Style indeed had a match with Chikara alumnus Matt Makowski that exceeded my expectations.
Slim J for refusing to go gentle into that good night. He and Adam Priest ripped off an exciting match days after Slim J was released from AEW, and it hopefully makes promoters reflect on how they misused someone this talented.
Marcus Mathers for making me reevaluate my opinion after writing him off as a scramble flippy guy.
Demus and Mad Dog Connelly for unleashing violence and mayhem. Connelly started the match by snapping the chain and hitting Demus with it, and he upped the ante by punching Demus with chain-wrapped fists.
Daniel Makabe and Timothy Thatcher for rewarding the attention that I was forced to pay their match due to their style. Grappling-focused matches don't have obvious moments of excitement for most viewers, so you're forced to watch closely for small shifts in angle and advantage. Makabe and Thatcher had a match where I felt like the attention that I paid to them after a long day of watching wrestling was worth the effort.
The "But Now You Have My Attention" Award: The Sovereign/Sinner & Saint
My major takeaway from DEFY's Can't Deny It was the fast-paced and tightly executed work from Judas Icarus, Travis Williams, and Evan Rivers in their match against the Dragongate team (more on one of them later) and C4XKC. Icarus and Williams, as Sinner & Saint truly caught my attention in their match against Marcus Mathers and Austin Luke at DEAN~!!, and I'll peek in on what they'll do in TNA now that they're signed there.
The "Champagne Problems" Award: Mariah May
In the grand scope, AEW's insistence on continuing with Timeless Toni won't determine whether they sign a profitable TV deal or whether their ticket sales or TV ratings will reach new heights or depths. On a personal level, the combination of Timeless Toni and the Brochachos drove me away from AEW, and it took months before I could trust the company to not focus so heavily on crappy content. I'm willing to stomach a few minutes of Timeless Toni every week in recognition that nothing can be perfect. Nonetheless, watching Mariah May wrestle with Mina Shirakawa and Xia Brookside against Mayu Iwatani, Momo Kohgo, and Tam Nakano at STARDOM's show and against Kohgo during the ROH Zero Hour preshow highlighted how fresh and exciting she feels and how tired and mortifying watching Toni Storm play Timeless Toni feels.
The "Indifference Is Worse Than Hate" Award: Shun Skywalker
I gave Dragongate a chance to capture my heart in 2023, and it failed to attach. So, I wanted to give Dragongate another chance in a setting that piqued my interest in Dragon Gate back in 2006. Instead, the Dragongate team of Kzy, Shun Skywalker, and Ho Ho Lun seemed to disappear during their match in the DEFY show. I had hoped that it was an aberration, but the Dragongate group of YAMATO, Dragon Kid, and Shun Skywalker underwhelmed in the tag match against Los Desperados in JCW & GCW vs. The World. Then, the whole Dragongate group had an underwhelming performance in the much hyped match against Team CMLL during the Hitchcock Memorial Supershow. I want to give them one more chance with the ETU vs. Dragongate show, but the Dragongate showing this trip did not inspire me to give the company another chance in 2024.
The "Half-Hearted Efforts Produce Half-Hearted Results" Award: ROH Supercard of Honor 2024
Crowning Mark Briscoe as the ROH World Champion on the anniversary of his brother's ascension should have felt triumphant. Instead, it felt perfunctory, which seems deeply wrong. Other than the knowledge that it was Jay Briscoe's championship anniversary, viewers received no cues for the emotional stakes of the match, and pitting Mark Briscoe against fan favorite Eddie Kingston seemed misguided.
The "That Sure Is A Decision That You Can Make" Award: Syuri, Masha Slamovich, JCW, GCW
I was looking forward to Syuri vs. Masha Slamovich at JCW & GCW vs. The World when it was announced, and it was one of the matches that kept me going through the fatigue from the grueling activity of watching wrestling for hours on end on Thursday. My spirit deflated when ring announcer Emil Jay announced a 30 minute time limit for the match since he announced no time limit for the other matches on the show. It was also billed as a JCW Championship match, and since Syuri wasn't going to win the title from Slamovich this weekend, my expectations joined my spirit in a state of deflation. The fact that they wrestled to a 30 minute time limit draw at 1:00 am Eastern in front of a listless crowd probably contributed to my dissatisfaction with the match; it felt like a slowly paced collection of moves rather than a coherent story told through the medium of professional wrestling.
The Best Match of the Weekend, Leyenda Division: Bryan Danielson vs. Blue Panther
Bryan Danielson is my favorite wrestler, and I've greatly enjoyed his post-WWE run. He's made it clear for years to anyone who would listen that he greatly admired Blue Panther and wanted desperately to wrestle him, and we were served an appetizer when they faced each other at CMLL Homenaje A Dos Leyendas 2024 on March 29. We got the full course when Danielson and Panther wrestled at Super Viernes on April 5, and it was what I, as a Danielson fan, would have wanted from this match. Both men defied age and expectations and challenged each other's technical skills and indomitable wills. Danielson tried to play rudo by hitting the aged Panther with brutal kicks and dives and by showing off with the Santo Escape several times, but Danielson is too delightful for any attendee at Arena Mexico on April 5 to truly despise.
The Best Match of the Weekend, Non-Leyenda Division
The finalists are:
World of Stardom Championship: Maika (c) vs. Megan Bayne (STARDOM: American Dream 2024 in the Keystone State)
Fuminori Abe vs. Takuya Nomura (GCW Presents Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport X)
Matt Makowski vs. Charlie Dempsey (GCW Presents Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport X)
Slim J vs. Adam Priest (ACTION Wrestling & Segunda Caida: DEAN~!!)
Daniel Makabe vs. Timothy Thatcher (ACTION Wrestling & Segunda Caida: DEAN~!!)
Dog Collar Match: Mad Dog Connelly vs. Demus el Demonio (ACTION Wrestling & Segunda Caida: DEAN~!!)
Jordan Oliver vs. Aigle Blanc (JCW & GCW vs. The World)
Limited to what I saw, my pick is Connelly vs. Demus, which was the most fun of these great matches. I was hooting and hollering as they bludgeoned each other with garbage cans, chained fists, and possibly fans, and the experience was heightened by the very game crowd at DEAN~!!.
My second pick would be Maika vs. Megan Bayne, which featured a great story of Maika, usually the bully, finding herself unable to bully the bigger and stronger Bayne. Maika's absurd Michinoku Driver from the second rope on Bayne looked absolutely reckless and devastating, and it felt unique among the many watches from the past week.

Infra sector: The keystone to India’s 5 trillion-dollar economy goal
The government has ambitious targets for the Indian economy: a 5 trillion-dollar economy by 2030 and the third largest in the world.
Getting there, however, is a lofty goal indeed. The country needs to build a robust infrastructure to support this desire given that Infrastructure is the backbone of any economy. Without it, this ambition may well get strangled along with the dreams of a nation.
The infrastructure sector allows the country to have access to basic yet important services including clean water, electricity and transportation while generating jobs and promoting overall business efficiencies.
The health and growth of infrastructure are crucial to any country’s development.
As a sector, infrastructure is vast and covers a range of sub-sectors including private and public construction works of bridges, roads, railways, aviation, electrical grids, ports, houses and buildings, sewers, water supply, tunnels, etc.
So where do we stand? During the pre-Covid period (2019), the government announced the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) initiative with a budget of approximately $1.5 trillion dollars.
Over the next five years, for infrastructure, this is a huge amount. Almost half our current GDP.
Even if this is discounted, there is no mistaking the signal that the government means business. It followed that up by launching the ₹100 lakh crore Gati Shakti plan last October (approximately $1.2 trillion).
With NIP, the government has sanctioned a host of social and economic infrastructure projects that amount to ₹102 lakh crore.
Energy, roads, railways and urban projects make up the bulk of this plan. To meet these lofty targets, the Finance Ministry developed the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) in consultation with infrastructure line ministries.
Under this scheme, an estimated ₹6 lakh crore over a four-year period, from FY22 to FY25 will be generated to fund the NIP projects.
The government’s next aim is to increase the length of the national highway network to 2,00,000 km and build around 200 airports, water aerodromes, and heliports and double the gas pipeline network to 35,000 km by 2024-25.
It also plans to set up two new defence corridors along with 11 industrial corridors along with tackling energy demand by increasing the power capacity to 225 GW from 87.7 GW.
So, what could this mean for infra companies? The previous decade was seen to be a poor period for many of them due to policy flip-flops and limited initiatives.
This led to a number of infra players falling by the effective wayside, leaving a leaner pack with less competition to help build India.
With these massive budgets in place, we are hopeful that not only their revenues will increase, but also their margins and slowly this is getting reflected as many of them are relatively sizeable order books.
Alongside this, there may well be a re-rating of the sector as perception gets shifted, but of course, as always we reserve the right to be wrong.
With all these moves on the anvil, the future sure is promising. However, we will still need proper implementation of policies in the infrastructure sector and an alignment of interests between the public and private sectors.
If these are effectively executed, then we are hopeful that they will help us compete effectively on a global scale as we hopefully move into our golden decade.

Patient Engagement Solutions Market Is Anticipated To Attain Around $70.3 Billion By 2030
The global patient engagement solutions market size is expected to reach USD 70.3 billion by 2030, expanding at a CAGR of 17.7% from 2024 to 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. Key factors fueling the market growth include rising digitalization across healthcare, increasing prevalence of chronic conditions, and technological advancements. COVID-19 pandemic boosted digitalization across healthcare. This, in turn, has fueled the awareness and adoption of patient engagement solutions, thus propelling the market growth.
As healthcare providers were battling the constant upsurge in cases, patients were looking to digital technologies for care delivery and monitoring. This contributed to the market growth. Key companies released multiple COVID-19-related features as part of their patient engagement lineup to enhance their offerings. In December 2020, athenahealth released new features to its athenaOne platform-such as scheduling, workflow, documentation, and reporting capabilities-to enable immediate administration of COVID-19 vaccines as and when they become available.
The necessity of social distancing resulted in increased demand for remote patient monitoring solutions and prerequisite for the precise and timely exchange of patient well-being records. Pandemic has also made healthcare professionals look for alternate methods to traditional processes and systems. As a result, market participants have developed COVID-19-related features in their existing patient engagement solutions. For instance, in June 2020, Orion Health partnered with a network of more than 350 healthcare facilities called Keystone Health Information Exchange to enable real-time automated COVID-19 reporting for improved public health data collection across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
As per a survey by Twilio, a cloud communications provider and customer engagement, 68% of respondents reported accelerated digitalization in their organizations due to COVID-19. Companies reported easing of barriers at organizational levels, such as getting executive approvals, the need for a clear strategy, and reluctance to replace legacy software. In fact, according to the Chief Product Officer at Mount Sinai Health System, their newly developed text?to?chat platform witnessed a 10x surge in volume due to the pandemic. Growing number of smartphone users around the globe expedited the adoption of digital health technologies across the sector, both from providers and consumers, which, in turn, has augmented the dependability of patients on mHealth apps.
Mobile technology has emerged as a pivotal driver of healthcare's digital and telemedicine revolution. Smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices have simplified access to healthcare support & patient records, elevated the quality of patient care, and streamlined back-office operations & medical training. Leveraging platforms such as WhatsApp for engagement enabled hospitals to manage patient interactions through an accessible communication channel. Solutions such as Easyrewardz Healthcare CRM empower hospital staff to automate patient communication, appointment scheduling, and room availability checks. These advancements are poised to fuel market growth over the forecast period.
