"Well, you can see your son" says Chris "I'll see my father with my dad and then I'll go see him" he smiles

Chris knew that Joel would like to see his parents first before he sees him. In addition, he needed to talk to his best friend about everything that was happening and that he needed help with some things

He went with his father to see his dad Riggs, smiling softly when he saw him asleep but was happy that nothing would happen to him and the baby inside him.

Currently reading: oh god you think THIS burnt out book-devouring gifted kid still reads??? Uhhhh last one I read in physical form was The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I have promised Tate the next audiobook I absorb will be Mobius Richard. I would also like to read Treasure Island. I’m still in my Dorian Gray era having read it in April last year, love that thing.

Once that apology is out of the way, they are able to move on to talk the business part of the meeting.

“You didn’t need to rile him up that much, you know,” Tommy comments when they are once again alone in the drawing room.

“Yeah, but he makes it so easy.” Tommy simply shakes his head, amused because he knows how easy it is to rile his brother.

“Want to go upstairs?” He asks after a moment of silence.

“Tommy, sweetheart, I love that you think so highly of me but I don’t think I can fuck you again. Not for a little while longer, at least.”

“Well,” Tommy walks around the desk to stand closer to where the other man is sitting. “You can always stay the night. I mean, is late already and is a long drive back to London and we both know how much your sciatica acts up when you sit still for too long in your car,” Tommy says in a fake concerned voice.

“Yeh, it would be nice, yeah, to spend the night. You know, for my sciatica. And bad knee,” Alfie follows Tommy’s games without a second thought.

Louis ducked his head politely when he spotted their regular customer, Mrs. Bates, who always sported a weak heart and needed Jo’s energy potion to keep her health. She said that Jo’s potions worked like wonder compared to the town’s doctor’s.

“I hear you’re setting out tonight, young man?” The old woman asked, pushing her spectacles up her nose as she contemplated Louis with a warm smile. The omega beamed back at her.

“Yeah!” He turned back to Jo who was carefully mixing a bowl of herbs. “Have you seen Haz?”

His mother rolled her eyes dramatically and pointed to the kitchen doorway. “You forgot to feed him when you went out this morning and he has been sulking at the window ever since!”

Louis blanched. “Oh, fuck…” He whispered, low enough so that Jo wouldn’t hear. Mrs. Bates seemed to catch it though because she chuckled and Louis winked at her.

He quickened his pace and ran to the kitchen. True enough his beloved cat was curled up on the windowsill that looked out into the back garden. His emerald green eyes turned and he fixed Louis with an annoyed look before hissing. The sun was setting and Louis could see the orange orb slowly sinking down the skyline. Soon, his heart sang, soon he was going to be out there.

“Haz…” He approached the cat carefully and Haz hissed louder. Louis decided to change course because he was sure Haz was planning on clawing his eyes out if he advanced any further.

He sidled up to the fridge (showing that he was keeping a respectful distance) and peered into it for some food to bribe his stubborn cat. Haz was probably even more stubborn than he was.

His eyes lit upon the unfinished pumpkin pie from last night and also the half empty glass of milk. He made a show of pulling the items from the fridge and placing them on the kitchen counter.

He took a knife and cut the pie into tiny pieces so that it would be easier for Haz to chew and poured the milk into a plate.

“Come here, love, I’m sorry.” He cooed, pushing the food across the counter towards Haz’s positions on the window sill.

“We were fighting last night so I was mad at you this morning and went out before remembering to feed you. I’m so sorry, my sweet.” He comforted. They had gotten into a fight last night because Louis had accidentally destroyed Haz’s favorite cushion when he was practicing levitating spells in the bedroom. He had burned it since he had mispronounced a syllable in his charm and they had watched the remains of the cushion fall to the floor, nothing but a pile of ashes.

“I’ll buy you a new one when we settle into the new town okay? Promise.” Louis had tried to appease the horrified cat, but Haz had spat at him and went to bed in the corner, on top of Louis’ old clothes, instead of in the omega’s bed like usual.

Speaking of which, Haz was still not moving from his perch and Louis could only sigh.

“We’re setting out tonight, H.” He said softly and the cat perked up, eyes shining as Louis grinned at him. He tapped the plate and reached out his hand tentatively.

“We’re gonna find our town tonight. It’s gonna be our town.”

This made Haz let out a small grumble before he was unfolding himself and jumping down to nuzzle at Louis’ hand.

He saw them approach and before he could speak again, he was hugged by Joel's mother as he felt his father's gaze.

"It was that young man who wanted to marry Joel to him" Chris says, interrupting the policeman "Joel called me yelling and I saw how that bastard was taking him by force, this stupid policeman didn't want to take what he was saying"

"Because…" He says seriously.

"Sir, we know that's impossible because Mr. Gooding is grieving the death of his family and…

"Yes, he kidnaps my Omega and surely he's planning to do something" he says angrily "because they don't look at the cameras and they'll know what happened… Now, if they're not walking…" He approaches the policeman "surely there was a hand involved and I don't have drama to ask someone to recover them"

Chris didn't mind acting like his parents but it was the best he could think of while the hours were passing and his partner was in danger.

He heard a car speed up, at the same time that they looked around to know that it was his parents and he was so happy to see them. More when his father took out his gun and pointed it at the policeman who had spoken at that time

"I recommend that you lower your weapon" says tango

"Not until that cop does it and gets arrested for covering up with young Cuba Gooding for kidnapping Joel Goodsen."

Chris smiled knowing that his investigation that he had told his father would help him and now he hoped that Cash, his father-in-law, would grab his arm and put the handcuffs on him.

He saw how that person struggled but there was something that caught his attention and it was seeing Tango look at his father Riggs.

"You…

"We were partners in a case" Riggs clarifies "I see that your son is a partner of mine" he smiles

"Yes, it seems so" he says "because you think that…

"We're looking deeper for Cuba Gooding" says Roger "if we go to the office, we can explain it more but we have to do it fast because it's been hours since Brad took Joel"

Chris didn't want anything to happen to his beloved while he was at the hands of that cursed man who was capable of many things.

No one objected to that suggestion but they did set off towards the office while I thought about how to save Joel

Of course, Chris noticed a bit of intrigue as Joel's parents looked at theirs, or especially at one of them as they hurried to get there.

"Well, we discovered these secrets and well… I had to go personally" says Chris's dad

"Riggs" says tango

"Wait sir" says Roger "I'm the only one who can get mad at my partner" he puts himself in the middle

"Wait" says Chris "now don't fight, we have to focus on Joel and then talk about your past because I notice you haven't resolved it"

"Let's say…it's a separate issue" says riggs "for me it is and…and… I found out who was the person behind all this" he whispers

"What do you mean" says Tango

"That whoever kidnapped him, murdered Joel's friend… brad" Riggs looks at them "a few days ago they found his body, which means that he eliminated it as revenge for taking Joel away from him"

Chris holds his breath knowing that and he hated to think that Joel would be hurt to know that his friend Brad was killed for being responsible for taking him away from his partner.

"Besides, it has something to do with someone who hurt my Omega at the time" Roger says as Riggs looks down.

Chris looked at his father while the gaze of Joel's parents was also on his father, as if waiting to know what was happening but his gaze said that he would not say anything.

"The important thing is that for now we have a clue" Riggs looks at them "Joel's house, it could be that they're going there"

"Then, we must pray that Joel resists and can leave us other clues if they don't end up being there"

the bad batch + items i would knit for them

a/n: i’m obsessed with knitting/crocheting bc i’m actually a very very ancient old elderly decrepit person trapped in the body of a sexy young lady. and i especially love knitting things for other ppl bc it makes me feel like a little christmas elf. so this is what i would make for each of the bad batch

Hunter: headband

yes this is an obvious one but i don’t care

hunter wears the same rotting headband every single day someone needs to provide him with extras so he can at least rotate them

headbands are really easy to knit so i could provide him with an endless supply of clean ones

ALSO it would be so cute to make the actual headband one of the bad batch colors (black, red, even white) and then crochet little appliqués to sew onto them

like the skull, 99, those would so cute on there like basically how the skull is on his already but more 3D

yarn is also most likely more breathable than whatever he’s currently got strapped on there so comfort wise it would be better too

Crosshair: beanie

crosshair is such a 2015 beanie dude

like i don’t mean that in any sort of way bc he’s a handsome young man BUT he’s very “i’m the misunderstood artsy loner guy who wears leather jackets and beanies and smokes cigarettes and reads classic literature”

and i love that energy for him so he deserves a beanie to compliment it

also i think crosshair is a very chronically cold person but is too proud to ever admit he’s cold so he won’t put on a jacket or use a blanket BUT he’ll wear his beanie bc he can pass it off as a fashion choice

Tech: tote bag

tech has so many god damn things

so many trinkets and gadgets and tools

HES GOT GADGETS AND GIZMOS A PLENTY HES GOT WHOZITS AND WHATZITS GALORE

but anyway he needs somewhere to put all of those things! and if that storage location is also mobile? even better!

I keep a lot of my things in tote bags (literally i keep my knitting stuff in a tote bag) bc it’s easier and then they’re ready to go if i need to transport them

i just think he would get a lot of use out of something like that, plus this is more of a time consuming project and he would have the patience to wait since it’s not a pressing need

i’m making a tote bag for myself right now and i’m knitting a design into it (eggplant emoji on one side, peach emoji on the other side) and i would def do a design on tech’s to make it more exciting and I think he would really appreciate the craftsmanship of it all

Wrecker: bucket hat

crosshair might be a beanie dude. but wrecker is 1000% a bucket hat dude

like wrecker is just such a chad in the best possible way (in the beloved himbo way) and i think his natural state is at like a tailgate (or some kind of outside day drinking event), hawaiian shirt unbuttoned, bucket hat on, sipping a bud light and playing cornhole

bucket hats are more of a crochet thing but they’re pretty easy and quick to make and they’re super cute with little appliqués sewn on like with hunters headband

he would love having a few different ones with different vibes like obvi some bad batch themed ones but other ones too

specifically the one i’m picturing in my head is like a pretty light blue with little white cloud appliqués sewn in all over so it looks like a beautiful blue sky

Echo: blanket

now this is a time consuming project. you gotta really love someone to devote this commitment to them

as much as i love all these lovely individuals, echo is the only one who deserves having these labors performed for his comfort

echo has had almost only the worst of times ever. now he’s like half robot and doesn’t even get to have a robot hand OR his own bed he sleeps in a fucking hammock

he deserves the world, the least i could do is make him a big cozy knit blanket

echo is also the only one who’s patient enough to wait for a nice blanket to be made. everyone else would get antsy too soon

i would use that big soft yarn they sell for baby blankets like i would just buy a fuck ton of it and it would be so comfy

Omega: sweater

omega is the only one i would make a sweater for

similarly to echo i think she’s the only one who deserves such a laborious task, but also she’s much much smaller than the rest so it would be way easier

not to be fully mrs weasley but i would def knit her initial into the sweater

(I had this whole post typed out and then I left to get my screenshots and it frick fracking deleted. The audacity of my tumblr-)

Okay, okay let’s go through this like we usually do. Although Crosshair gets his own section because there’s so much to unpack there.

- Hunter, my king, I’m glad to see you communicating at long last, thank you for getting your shit together.

- Although I did want to see Omega freaking out for character development, I’m glad they still showed her being really snappy with Echo to show just how desperately she wanted to help her brother/father figure.

- I wish we’d would have gotten a little snippet of Gregor again, but I’m not too mad. It isn’t the end of the world.

- Okay but like…the boys have so much faith in Omega and it warms my heart. Tech trusted her enough to find the platform when he could’ve easily written her off and found another way. They love her and I love them-

- Omega’s wet hair is everything. It’s so cute. It really juvenilises her, but in the correct way.

- Tech’s snappy oneliners are back! “How could I possibly know that?”

- Echo development this episode. I know it wasn’t a lot, but not only did he comfort Omega when she needed his support, but he lead the team. Of course, ‘Meg had to direct them through Kamino, she knows the facility, but he took charge. Our arc trooper is still there.

- my boys are back together again.

- Omega’s backstory here though…dang poor baby. Honestly though I must give her props, she did what most adults still can’t do. She put aside her fears and faced her trauma and borderline abusive past to save her family; that takes great strength and incredible bravery. I’m very proud of her to be honest.

I’ve been waiting for this for so long. I mean- I still want Hunter to willingly hug her, but this is a start. I’ll take it. She’s so pleased to see him, to feel him, and his soft little smile is everything. Oh god I love these two so much.

- Hunter’s conflict this episode was so freaking strong and I’m so glad. He deserved it, I love Hunter to bits, he’s my favourite, but we needed to see some questioning to really ground him from this emotionless leader to a human counterpart, especially where Crosshair’s concerned.

- I’m not gonna lie, I’m not AZ’s biggest fan, but his little friendship with Omega is so cute. I stan.

- Omega’s snappy oneliners this episode too- she’s picking up from Tech lmao. “Uhm….hello :)” “I’m kind of in the middle of something here.” “I can see that, AZ.”

- THE MUSIC OMG

- the empty Kaminoan facility hurt me, like omg-

- Tech piloting my beloved. I love him.

- so…that whole explosion at the end. They can’t be dead, right? We’ve still got next week, and a whole season 2, they CANNOT be dead. But then I’m scared they’re going to have someone die before they can all be rescued….oh godddd.

- “stop pretending to be something you’re not, Hunter.” I’m honestly sick of people telling Hunter this. Of course, I’m not blaming Echo or Crosshair, when and why they say it is very justified at the time, but it’s unfair to Hunter. He’s trying his best to protect his squad, they are his family. Family is everything to him because that’s all he’s ever had, they didn’t really have a Jedi commander, the regs weren’t huge fans of them, the Kaminoans were vile towards them, as we’ve seen, all Hunter had was his brothers, and he wants to protect them at all costs, even when that meant leaving Cross behind. Hunter isn’t pretending to be a caring brother and father figure to Omega and the others, he IS. and I know Cross was most likely talking about the mercenary work too, but it all correlates back towards why they’ve been bounty hunting, to gain money and keep themselves safe.

Okay, we’re moving onto Crosshair now.

- what in the frick frack fuck-

- first of all, I’m not seeing a scar, and I know the burns could’ve mutilated it, but then we would’ve seen it before Bracca. Not to mention he’s still clutching his head in pain whenever he has conflicted thoughts. My guess is they never removed it in the first place, he’s been lied too. Why wouldn’t the empire profit from an angry clone out for vengeance? If they made him believe it was all his own doing, it makes him trust them more.

- the conflict here is so deserved. Crosshair has every right to call Hunter out. I mean, I don’t personally blame hunter, but I’m not Crosshair, I wasn’t abandoned, we will never understand how he truly felt. He has every right to react the way he does.

- “they don’t leave their own behind…usually” say it louder, brother, he has the right.

- “we didn’t have a choice.” “And I did?” Again, I think he has every right to say that. Whether he had his chip removed or not, he is aware that he was under its influence for a short while, so no, he didn’t have a choice.

“You may have forgotten, but I haven’t” HES HURTING.

- “I’m going to give you what you never gave me…a chance.”

- “don’t become my enemy” “Crosshair, we never were.” he doesn’t want to fight them-

- “think of what we could do…together.” This really proves the conflict on Ryloth was real. He didn’t want to fight his brothers, he wanted to fight with his brothers. This is another reason why I believe he still has his chip. Why would he stick around otherwise? The empire have offered him nothing except leadership, which we saw Rampart was very willing to take away at a moment notice.

- he also wanted to get Omega to safety, and I love that, he doesn’t want her to see her family turn into him. He wants her out of the picture for her own good.

- the smack down between him and Hunter, and then the eventual battle with the droids was so bittersweet. We see them fighting alongside one another, but we know deep down there is conflict, and it hurts.

- safely I’d just like to say I wish I could hug him. Wrecker carrying him to safety was everything towards the end.

Ive gotta say, that episode was incredible, it had the right amount of action, drama, cheesy oneliners, Omega and Hunter fluff, Echo development, Crosshair finally getting his limelight, I know we didn’t get too much Wrecker and Tech but I’m still really pleased with this episode. I’m giving it a solid 10/10 cinematically
