Can the Duffer Brothers stop putting the strong independent girl characters into solely love plots. El has superpowers and half the time that's pushed aside for a love story about 14 year olds. Max is a badass and lost her brother and there's a whole will they won't they plot with Lucas. max probably had like the weirdest first impression of eleven. like she heard about this girl with like telekinesis and shit from lucas who saved them all and killed a demogorgon and like twenty people and is from a lab, and then said girl shows up after being presumed dead for a year and shes dressed in punk attire and just killed a demodog and threw it through a window and then gives max the silent treatment. max probably thought she was some like emo badass thats too cool for all of them and like would kill max if she looked at her wrong when shes actually a really sweet girl who likes eggos

going crazy trying to explain why the max and billy baseball bat scene at the end of season two is not really empowering at all, like sure max rebelled against her abuser, but it’s just another moment where she is forced to step up and be her own guardian. just a little earlier she made a whole point about not wanting to be like billy but here she uses his own language against him, the “say you understand” which neil uses on billy in the scene before and billy uses on max in the car. sure, it could be a taste of his own medicine, but i doubt it feels like that. and when max leaves the scene she’s not empowered or relived, she’s exhausted. it’s not so much fun imo

-going off the former, bc the Duffers said the parents were getting involved, Dustin somehow setting up his mom and Wayne

-as sad as it is, explore Dustin's trauma

-Lucas's too, and honestly maybe they'd bond over it and help each other? they were such a great duo in seasons 1 and 2 and I want that back

-Steve and Robin have a new job at some sort of stupid children's pizza place lmao (Freddy Fasbear core hahaha)

-but in all seriousness they need to still keep a running gag of them having a job together at a new place every season

-more of a theory I have that I want to be correct, but I want them to show where she is, if she's alive but El couldn't find her. since Max wasn't totally gone when Vecna got disintegrated, what if she's trapped in Vecna's mindscape?

-badass Erica moment. spoiler alert she actually single-handedly defeata Vecna by roasting him so goddamn hard he cannot recover

-please not let this end badly but I want a Steve and Dustin callback to the "no. if you die, I die" line. AGAIN tho nothing bad should come of it please

-lastly, I do not care WHO he gets this with. even if it's some rando. but I NEED a scene at the end where we see Steve driving a Winnebago, hair blowing in the wind, with his six little nuggets that he deserves. when they arrive at their destination, we see everyone [who survives lmao] possibly with their future families, setting up a little campfire and connecting like the goddamn wonderful little Found Family they are!!!
