"Evil corporate mascot Mickey Mouse" is such a boring and unfunny take imo. Why direct frustration and anger at Disney towards a literal cartoon character instead of the actual people in charge?
"Fed up toon icon Mickey Mouse who hates current Disney more than anyone else?" Much more funny and accurate to Mickey's character. Actively turns Disney's own mascot, and one of their most well-known and beloved characters, against them. Mickey Mouse says that pirating and buying fanmade merch is always morally okay. He's counting the seconds until he finally escapes into the public domain.
Got to finish art of King Mickey Mouse from our multi-table Disneyverse tabletop game. I am actually happy with how my design of him came out. He is the "King" to Donald's "Bishop" and Goofy's "Rook." He's probably the most terrifying NPC in the game.
Extra Doodle:
Unfortunately, he didn't have the secret tool that was gonna help him later when Donald disappeared because no one was bringing it for him and, in the words of my friend, hubris bit him on the ass.
It's funny how Disney loves to milk the hell out of their franchises and have been adding a lot of lore and expanding the "universes" of their franchises...
And yet when it comes to Mickey Mouse, the company mascot with probably the most amount of merchandise and reach, his lore is probably the most obscure where even many Disney fans don't really know many of the canon characters outside of the Sensational Six, the Ducktales characters, and a couple others like Clarabelle, Horace, and Chip and Dale.
