Yes, as if the Night Na’vi weren’t mysterious enough already. I mean, on top of tricking the RDA into thinking that they don’t even exist for over a CENTURY, they have an evolutionary adaptation like THAT?⁣⁣⁣

Man, Grace is probably pissed that she wasn’t alive for that one.⁣⁣⁣

But this is also why they say, “Hunger is the bane of every Night Na’vi’s existence.” It can be pretty exhausting when your stomach is only so big, but you still need to get your daily nutrition.⁣⁣⁣

But this new knowledge sparks even more questions. Why do they go back to their homelands if there’s nothing for them there? How do they survive it for 3 months? And why is it whenever they return, they greet the other clans with bountiful and unique plants and substances?⁣⁣⁣

The other clans would try to go there with the Night Na’vi, but venturing there without your own Night Ikran is virtually a death sentence. And the only way you can get a Night Ikran is by going to the Pulse…which is in the Night Na’vi homelands. It’s a pretty vicious cycle.⁣⁣

That and nothing can prepare you for the things you’ll see there…⁣things that no one can EVER unsee.⁣

Part 5 of RDA Jake and Neytiri

Jake was definitely worried now. As He sat here eating with Neytiri,she was going into heat in barley 2 hours,he was worried to death. What was he gonna do? he likes Neytiri and sure she's drop dead gorgeous,but he isn't the type to take advantage of women. He absolutely refused to have anything like that around him after all the years he watched his old man knock his mom around and force her. He would never take advantage of a woman,even a different species,So he had no Idea what to do. He could just help her get comfortable and wait,he didn't care how her scent or whatever affected his body,he would just comfort her and his touches where going to stay limited to hugging and maybe a few kisses on the cheek. Neytiri could SEE physically that Jake was stressing,over her heat no doubt. But that's what made her wonder,sky men wouldn't care, they'd touch whatever woman near, willing or not. so what made Jake so different,What made Jake think so different from others. She didn't know but she would forget it for now. As her body was slowly but surely heating up to cause the heat. She dreaded her heat,it was pain and made you stupid,or at least forced the thought of breeding into your mind. Even if you weren't interested in that sort of thing,it still happened. So,for her first couple years alone in the forest her only companion and friend to help her had been Nikea from the Alyara Clan of night Na'vi. She and Neytiri were best friends forever, but Nikea got into trouble badly with her clan for teaching Grace night Na'vi. Nakir didn't care Nikea was just a little girl,she still cut her tongue so she couldn't talk. Only now Nikea had an Ikran and it had a migration pattern it had to follow,so Nikea had to go as well. Now she only sees her when the Ikran's pattern of flight passes through Omaticaya Territory or nearby at least. None the less if he was still around,Nikea would be a big explanation for Jake,and Jake for Nikea

Re-reading Mechanicum by Graham McNeill on a whim and got to a part I'd forgotten about:

Rogal Dorn and Malcador the Sigilite are discussing Horus being recently discovered going traitor and Dorn is feeling a lot of anxiety for reasons he can't quite place. Malcador tries to comfort him and is like "No worries kid, it's fourteen loyalist legions against four traitor legions, easy peasy." And Dorn goes "I guess so but I can't shake the feeling that something really really bad is about to go down." And Malcador essentially says "Well maybe you'll feel better after we win the battle of Istvaan V?"

Amuk reference sheet

Amuk is one of the Night Na'vi of the Alyara Clan. She loves to travel and make new friends wherever she goes and sees the beauty in everything that Eywa has to offer. She also dresses a certain way to respect her culture of the Night Na'vi and wears an extinct type of amber over her chest and ankles. Nikea is also an old friend, but she hasn't seen her since her exile. There were times when Nikea would introduce her to Neytiri but didn't see her as a close friend. 

Both of her parents are alive and well, and also her younger brother, whom she loves very dearly. When Amuk was with Nikea, they would visit Grace at her school and learn how to speak English, which gave her more knowledge to understand how to communicate with the sky people. However, her parents told her never to return and forbid her to speak with the outsiders. She misses the people whom she loved to spend time with and would one day finally get the chance to meet someone whom she can truly teach the ways of the Night Na'vi.

I want to thank @choclodox for her artwork. It's amazing how she designs her characters of Night Na'vi from the movie Avatar: The Way of Water, and I thought, why not whip up a Night Na'vi character of my own? It turned out great, so please follow her for more beautiful artwork.

Looking back on the last book I must admit that the Khan out of all the Primarchs was the funniest fucker in 30k. Everyone acted like the Edict of Nikea was this absolute verdict and that they had no choice but to cripple their own legions by disbanding the scriptorium instiutions, and that it all was inevitable under the absolute authority of the Emperor.

And the Khan? He just did not do that. He did not even have a public stance for going against it or did it out of petty defiance, he just from the bottom of his heart couldn't give a darn about this dumbass decision and did exactly nothing about it.

"Alright psyker friends listen up, according to official rules y'all no longer exist" - "And what now boss?" - "Nothing, keep doing whatever you're doing. Just don't get caught."

The funniest bit is that this was enough. The Khan never got into trouble for keeping his Psykers by his side in active service. Every other legion could have done the same. They would have showed up at Istvan with essentially twice the firepower and given Horus and the other traitors quite the bloody nose in the process. But nope, unlike doing the smart thing and just pretending to shoot themselves in the foot, they actually shot themselves in the foot.

Just how utterly stupid must they have appeared to the Khan in retrospective?

Platonic yandere emperor and malcador vs yandere primarchs

Emps and malcador you a younger psyker perpetual during the unity war and malcador just "adopts" you and teaches you psychic bullshit. (This of course would be early on when the emperor wasn't mass hated by perpetuals lmao)

Gimme you the very hidden from public eye apprentice to malcador meeting the newly found first primarch alpharius Horus and being the person he is compared to. Spending many late nights answering his questions about the imperium.

Being there for each primarchs first trip to terra. Bonding with Magnus and teaching him a few ancient tricks. Explaining ancient forge techniques to Magnus and vulkan. Yelling at corvus for being broody on the roof. Complaining about the nobility with gulliman. Watching as slowly relationships fade after all being a psyker during Nikea almost certainly cause some bridges to burn. But never losing a relationship with Horus the first, the greatest, and your closest confidant.

Gimme malcador looking at his apprentice knowing the traitorous son Horus is coming to terra to kill the emperor, destroy the imperium, and take you.

Imagine the pain in the loyalist primarchs faces as they are told your being imprisoned for your own safety. That they will free you when the traitors are completely wiped. Never knowing they all vanished or died and it has been ten thousand years since the heresy.

This is Seykexl Tsamsiyu, my new oc,night na´vi,all credits for @choclodox for this avatarfanclan I truly love Nikea and thought "well......i want to do one too" so here we are Sey is a very fearsome huntress who is always ready to fight but her bravery is her own doom,always being the first to clash with danger making her a bad team player,is true that she do this to keep others safe but the main reason is beacause she is an adrenaline lover and battle,always looking for a good confrontation to the point that she challenge palulukan´s(thanator´s),it can´t be see here but her back have a huge claw mark from her doing this. So Fulgrim is noted as not being super fond of psykers (as they represent a genetic deviation or “imperfection”), but he still was one of Magnus’ supporters at Nikaea. My theory on why he did, and why (iirc) he openly wept when the verdict was given, is because he saw it more personally than just librarians in all legions; i think he recognized the psychic arts as being his brother’s form of creation and expression, as the distinct craft through which the Thousand Sons, Magnus and Prospero pursued artistry and perfection in their own way. He was heartbroken that Magnus was cut off from his art

i had a vibe but i hadn't heard much solidly before about the whole "fulgrim considering psykers an imperfection" thing, d'you know where they talk about that? i'd like to look into it that sounds Inch Resting

i will say i think fulgrim is a bigger asshole than this about most* other people's art and self-improvement (he is SUCH a dick) — but i can absolutely see him getting, if not weepy then at least angry and defensive about a form of art he doesn't see negatively on a conceptual level being shuttered for what he considers silly reasons, which frankly, nikea really was a deeply silly affair. i know that's an underestimatey word but how else can you describe that complete clownshow

Like I'm pretty sure that SDRA2 tells that in killing game you should trust nobody think about that. Kokoro end up trusting Teruya that he protect her but he mess up and she died. Setsuka end up trusting Hibiki and her sister and end up dying. Shinju was one of characters who says that they need trust each other end up be a tool that Nikea used for his plan. And Syobai survives who was isolated and trust nobody and he survivor unlike people who trust in someone.

Despite that, when Sora deliberately tries to save Yuki's life by using an unconscious Nikei's hand to injure Shinji, he was baffled and hurt that a lot of people were angry at her, when he felt she deserved sympathy for that. Honestly pretty hypocritical there, ngl.

When his characters aren't regressing as people or dying, they're just stagnant. Iroha doesn't undergo any kind of growth in this game, and her true colors turn out to be those of a self-centered coward. It honestly gets pretty insufferable, yet he hasn't really had a bad word to say about her.

He also has this uncomfortable desire to see the nicest and kindest characters suffer the worst deaths, and for no other reason than its emotional impact on the audience. Yet he's also sad that he did it and wishes it didn't have to be like that?

Third, your points don't make any sense within the story's logic:

Syobai does not survive because he "doesn't trust anyone." He survives because he has literal cheat codes and can leave the simulation whenever he wants. Plus, as a Broker, he makes deals with people, and deals require trust. He even made a deal with Emma and only broke it when it was clear his life would be in danger if he still upheld it.

Kokoro died not because she made a mistake trusting Teruya, but because she made the absolutely boneheaded decision to confront Emma about her status as a Void and her abusive father without any protection at her side. Bringing Teruya with her would not have been hard at all.

Setsuka's death happened because Kanade is a jealous clingy freak, and also because she read ahead in the script. Hibiki didn't betray Setsuka, she was in her puppet state and couldn't act on her own at the time, having no conscious awareness of her actions.

The closest you could really say was genuine betrayal was from Nikei, but that had nothing to do with Shinji. It was because Nikei wanted to ruin Mikado's plans out of petty spite, and that meant hurting Yuki by getting him to kill the guy who was there for him the entire game.

//Moreover, SDRA2's themes are so weakly-presented and executed that any messages you take away from this game feel accidental at best. Yes, it's the conclusion of the Another series' story, but there's no obvious exploration of themes or ideas in place, so I really can't say LINUJ had an aesop he wanted to share with us.

//So, no, it isn't saying anything about trust or betrayal. It's not saying much of anything beyond "Let's watch Yuki Maeda suffer for 6 chapters."

//LINUJ is capable of good ideas, but he has this very bad habit of failing to take advantage of them, undercutting them or throwing them out in favor of bad ones instead.
