Was just thinking of your Napoleon in England stories and thinking just how much MORE awkward Prinny giving Arthur Canova's Napoleon the Peacemaker as a "token of the gratitude of the nation" would be. Both of them absolutely dying of embarrassment.

Prince Regent (1979)

This is an excellent television series, but I think I was unreasonably entertained just watching Prinny get progressively larger with each episode. They could have stuffed even more padding into his shirt but I'm guessing they didn't want to cross over to parody. It's not like George IV was ripe for parody or anything. 😏
