They’re very smart (with IQ around 145) and are very good at pattern recognition

when interested in something they can hold big amount of information in their brain

but they have trouble focusing on anything they find boring

and they have generally many racing thoughts and short attention span

their grades reflect that: they have very good grades when it’s something they either like or can figure out with logic, but when it comes to things that require them to memorize something uninteresting they have very bad grades

it should be noted that do have good previous education and don’t take their time at Ryōtei seriously

The first child of a separated couple in Mexico. Romantic is a young man that, at first glance, seems like an self-centered, strict and dedicated student. He’s usually described as a «nerd» since he gives greater importance to his achievements than his actual relationships. He hides under a mask of arrogance and pride to hide that, actually, he’s a rather sensitive, timid boy who has some difficulty and is afraid to open up to other people because they will notice that he’s not as «ideal» as he seems to be.

Romantic studies a lot and every day he stands out for being intelligent, smart, analytical and observant, which is why he got the highest grade in Mexico’s national exams. That guaranteed him a place to become one of the lucky ones to go as exchange students to Japan, in which he would continue with his studies and a future journalism project. However, ever since he came to the Sakamaki manor, Romantic’s life as well as his personality have been deformed into a more sadistic and utterance one.

Rejet’s Itou.

His appearance gives him certain airs of a perceptive «few friends» guy, but at the same time a cute clumsy one? It's almost impossible to hate him considering how gentle he can be and how practical his daily life is. That’s something I really like about him and, in part, the air we wanted to give him when creating his character.

The Illustrator Satoi.

He’s a very serious character, so I made sure his design is well-defined as well, which gives him that touch of a model student. I also put many accessories on show, some even not so self-evident and attempted to specific a few charm giving him those huge pink eyes and a endearing smile. Furthermore, I think what stands out the foremost is his pink beanie, that covers much of his hair and makes him distinctive from the most characters up till now.

El primer hijo de una pareja separada en México. Romantic es un joven que, a primera vista, parece un estudiante egocéntrico, estricto y dedicado. Generalmente se le describe como un «nerd» porque le da mayor importancia a sus logros que a sus relaciones reales. Se esconde bajo una máscara de arrogancia y orgullo para ocultar que, en realidad, es un hombre bastante sensible, tímido, que tiene algunas dificultades y tiene miedo de abrirse a otras personas porque notarán que no es tan «ideal» como parece.

Romantic estudia mucho y cada día se destaca por ser inteligente, sagaz, analítico y observador, razón por la cual obtuvo la nota más alta en los exámenes nacionales de México. Eso le garantizó un lugar para convertirse en uno de los afortunados en ir como estudiantes de intercambio a Japón, donde continuaría con sus estudios y un futuro proyecto periodístico. Sin embargo, desde que llegó a la mansión Sakamaki, la vida y la personalidad de Romantic se han deformado hasta volverse más sádicas y expresadas dependiendo de sus decisiones.

Itou de Rejet.

Su aspecto le da ciertos aires de chico de «pocos amigos» perspicaz, ¿pero a la vez simpático y torpe? Es casi imposible odiarlo considerando lo amable que puede ser y lo práctica que es su vida diaria. Eso es algo que me gusta mucho de él y, en parte, el aire que quisimos darle a la hora de crear su personaje.

El ilustrador Satoi.

Es un personaje muy serio, así que me aseguré de que su diseño también estuviera bien definido, lo que le da ese toque de estudiante modelo. También mostré muchos accesorios, algunos incluso no tan evidentes e intenté especificar algunos encantos propios, dándole esos enormes ojos rosados ​​y una sonrisa entrañable. Además, creo que lo que más destaca es su gorro rosa, que cubre gran parte de su cabello y lo distingue de la mayoría de personajes hasta el momento.

Irina knows Yui? If so, what is their relationship like? What does Irina think of Yui?

Canonically? She knows her only from afar.

Irina's canon world is geared to the fact that Yui has already chosen her Adam in all this crazy KarlHeinz plan (to avoid mess and trouble, lmao).

Let's say that Yui is still studying at the Ryōtei Academy because she has not finished her tuition, but Yui is in a lower Grade than Irina, so they haven't communicated or approached. Despite this, Irina noticed Yui's presence in one of the corridors of the Academy by her scent, which has aroused her curiosity for her peculiarity but she did nothing more than observe her.

Regarding her opinion, Irina admires the kindness and good heart that Yui possesses despite literally having a demonic heart. Seeing her makes her want to protect her because of how adorable she looks, too.

Although it can throw back Irina her big compassion and empathy a bit, since Irina thinks that only the one who shows theyself that way can win this type of treatment. She isn't going to treat someone who treats her disrespectfully in a good way, unlike our sweet lovely Yui 💕

I mean: Let's say there is a rivalry between Ayato and Irina due to how teasing he becomes with her. If he gets into trouble, Irina will only play blind and deaf because of her pride and her moral beliefs, since he hasn't earned the empathy of Irina to have compassion and offer her help. Honestly on the sadistic side of Irina she wouldn't have the slightest feeling of guilt about this.

The youngest son of the Sakamaki household, and the only one who does not have any maternal siblings. A young delinquent who bottles up intense feelings of anger within his heart and therefore immediately reacts with his fists when something happens. 

He hates having his brothers meddle with his affairs, since he is also a bit of a lone wolf who usually locks himself up in the coffin in his own room. 

[ CREATOR’S COMMENT ]

Rejet’s Aoki

If I recall correctly, he was the character created last. Since a violence-centered character could potentially be dangerous, we kept the idea to ourselves at first, even if it came up in us. However, at one point we realized ‘Ah! We just have to make sure he doesn’t directly raise his hand at girls.’ and that’s how he was born. Rather than being ‘violent’, he is ‘rough’ or ‘reckless’. 

--> They make a distinction between 暴力 or ‘bouryoku’ and 乱暴 or ‘ranbou’ here. If you look up both words, ‘violent’ comes up as a translation in both, but in Japanese, the first has a distinctive negative connotation. Meanwhile ‘ranbou’ can be used to describe kids or teens who like to roughhouse a little at times, but aren’t necessarily violent all the time.

He is also gloomy, so we decided to just go for it and casually made him a shut-in.

Even though he’s the youngest child, he looks quite mature and has a good built, yet I also tried to express some cuteness in the way the back of his hair jumps up. Furthermore, because he’s a shut-in, he always carries the key to his room around his neck, and since he’s gloomy, half of his face is covered by his hair. His eyes are slanted and pointy.
