#SHE DOESN'T EVEN SEEM TO CARE WHAT SHE'S HEARD ABOUT SUSIE!

i love toriel so much in both undertale and deltarune though she has her flaws and she isn't great at communication or taking care of herself she is trying SO hard and she does everything out of care for others. she left the throne to protect other humans that fell down she fought frisk because she was scared for them she came back to save frisk from asgore because she realized she couldn't let them kill him even after everything he'd done. her compassion and strong sense of right and wrong is CENTRAL to her character and if you genuinely believe she's as bad as or worse than asgore then uhhh. i mean i'm not gonna tell you not to interact but like keep that shit to yourself💙
#replayed chapter 2 last night and man!! man!#she knows susie's reputation and she probably knows she's a bully#BUT SHE DOESN'T ACT COLD TO HER LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!#SHE INVITES HER IN TO MAKE PIE WITH HER AND THEN SHE INVITES HER TO STAY OVER#BECAUSE SHE SAW SOMEONE PROWLING AROUND OUTSIDE AND WORRIES ABOUT SUSIE'S SAFETY#IF SHE GOES HOME ALONE IN THE DARK!#SHE DOESN'T EVEN SEEM TO CARE WHAT SHE'S HEARD ABOUT SUSIE!#ALL SHE SAYS TO KRIS IS 'leave the chalk alone!' WITH A GIGGLE#BECAUSE SHE SEES THAT KRIS TRUSTS HER! AND THAT SHE'S THEIR FRIEND!#AND SHE TRUSTS KRIS' JUDGMENT! SHE TREATS THEIR FRIENDS WELL#BECAUSE SHE'S GENUINELY HAPPY THAT THEY'RE FINALLY CONNECTING WITH KIDS THEIR AGE#AND SO SHE GIVES SUSIE A CHANCE AND DOESN'T JUDGE HER AT ALL#AND SHE FINDS SHE LIKES SUSIE VERY MUCH! THEY MAKE PUNS TOGETHER. THEY MAKE PUNS TOGETHER!!!#and you can see the effect it has on susie too!! she clearly respects toriel and knows her somehow (unclear how)#and toriel's just invited her into her house! her friend's mum! has invited her over for pie!#so her whole attitude changes! she stops slouching all of a sudden! she tries not to swear!#except she doesn't even need to do that! because toriel's cool with all that! and susie finds that she can relax around her!!!#and they make puns together. they make puns together. i'm sorry that's SO important to me.#susie apparently likes puns. she likes puns. you'd expect her character archetype to roll her eyes at them#but she doesn't. there's no hint of annoyance at the 'snoozie' pun. just a laugh.#and then she immediately counters with snoriel! i love!! i adore!!!#susie's comfortable around her! comfortable enough to spend the night at her house with kris! she falls asleep immediately!#granted susie must be a pretty tired kid what with the eyebags and all but still!#wow man. wow. i adore toriel💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

The Unknown Hamilton: Lewis Hamilton x Daughter!Reader
Tumblr media
Y/n Hamilton is 16 years old and has never known her father. She grew up in the foster care system after her mother gave her up for adoption, wanting to cover her tracks before actually getting with her dad. Explaining this is that Nicole Scherzinger had met Lewis at a club where they had some type of quickie in the bathroom and never saw each other again until the two years after, which gave her time to give birth and come back, when they officially started dating.
Lewis Hamilton is a very busy man as known, he doesn't get much time for himself due to his work in Formula 1 and his side jobs, including The Hamilton Commision. He and Nicole had dated for 8 whole years, yet even after they had split, he is still unaware of the fact that he is a father (leaving him to the mindset that he would wait until retirement to START having kids).
Today is race day as the drivers are in their cars, speeding at over 200 km/p/h fighting for the pole positions. Toto and the team were focus on the race, when one of the mechanics came running in. "Boss, there's a girl outside that needs to speak with you." the man said as he tried to catch his breath. "She provided these papers that says her name is Y/n Hamilton. her mom is Nicole Scherzinger, and her dad is Lewis Hamilton. It's her birth paper." He explained as the team looked at him in wonder. "Bring her in, Shawn" Toto ordered and returned his attention to the monitor. A few minutes later, Shawn returned with a bloodied, bruised and scared girl who cowered under the gaze of the adults around her. "Hey sweetheart, no need to be scared. We won't harm you." Angela reassured the girl as she led her to sit down onto the coach.
Due to her injuries, the medic drew some blood from Y/n while patching her up as her wounds didn't need a trip to ER. The blood that was taken, was used for testing as they performed a DNA test in the laboratory that came back to be a 99.9% paternity match with Lewis. The results shocked everyone on the team as they didn't know what to do with the news. The race eventually finished, and Lewis made his way pass everyone, even though they tried to stop him, towards his driver's room and was shocked when he walked in on a female sleeping on his bed. Out of respect he closed the door and walked back out. "Someone's daughter is sleeping in my room, do any of you about this?" Lewis asked as everyone went silent. Since no one answered, he just went off with Angela to complete his media duties which is a post-race press conference.
"So Lewis, I know that you have been busy with the race today, but my question will be very off topic. While walking past the Mercedes garage today I heard your team talking about your 'daughter' and I would like to ask if you're willing to explain?" The journalist asked, leaving Lewis confused as he looked around. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Everyone knows that I don't have a child of my own. If you're speaking of my niece, then she's not here today" he replied as the woman shook her head. "Your team seemed to have not informed you. A teenage girl showed up to the track today completely covered in cuts and bruises as Mercedes took her in. They took the documents that she had and went through them as it stated that you are her father and your ex, Nicole Scherzinger, is her mother. A DNA test was processed, and it came back positive." the woman explained causing an uproar of surprise from everyone as their couldn't believe their ears.
The rest of the interview went by in a blur for Lewis as he kept quiet, giving one worded answers until the end, making his way back to the hospitality. "Toto, why didn't you tell me? Is the girl sleeping in my driver's room my daughter?" Lewis asked as he tried to keep his anxiety at bay. "Yes Lewis. She came to us earlier and Angela and Susie managed to put her to sleep. She was so scared and didn't trust anyone but them. They showed her pictures of you and told stories so hopefully when you go back in there, she'll allow you to sit close to her at least." Toto reassured, giving his driver a comforting hug before he left.
With shaky steps and a racing pulse, Lewis walked back down to his driver's room, taking a deep breath before knocking and entering. Upon his entry, he found his daughter looking at some of his family pictures, in tears at the fact that she doesn't know them. He slowly made his way to sit next to her before slowly bringing her into a hug, both of them now sobbing uncontrollably. "Hi dad, I'm sorry to interrupt your work. It's just that mom gave up her rights to me. When I took the train to her house last week, she cursed and turned me away and I had nowhere else to go after running away from the orphanage. They treated me so bad; they almost killed me!" Y/n cried into her father's chest as he comforted her, his own tears now silently falling. 'Don't worry my sweet girl, I'll make sure that no one hurts you anymore. You won't have a mom, but I'll make sure to do my best to take care of you" Lewis calmly declared as they rocked back and forth in each other's embrace.
Overtime, Y/n was spotted in the paddock once or twice as Lewis kept her interaction with the media to a minimum. Lewis enrolled Y/n into a new school as his parents were looking after her while he raced. Overall, Lewis and Y/n's lives life changed significantly for the better as they both now felt fully completed and supported endlessly.

Calling the killers Babygirl and/or submissive and breedable
Summary: just some headcanons of you calling some of the killer's Babygirl and/or submissive and breedable and their reaction (you and the killer aren't dating yet in this scenario)
Characters: All of the legion, Spirit, Ghostface, Trickster, Shape, Huntress
warnings: Gn reader, mentions of the reader getting killed and injured, bad writing and possible grammar mistakes
A/n: This idea was created at 2 am with my friends in a call so don't take this too seriously. I'm still trying to finish up some of my other drafts but I'm very slow with writing at the moment
Reblogs, comments and likes are always appreciated💙
Tumblr media
The Legion Frank (Babygirl and submissive and breedable) He would be flustered at the start because survivors barely talk with the killers in a trial and they especially don't say stuff like that but it would quickly turn into him being pissed at you for making fun of him He's gonna tunnel you wasting all his time trying to catch you if you continue to call him babygirl you will have to accept the consequences
Joey (Babygirl and submissive and breedable) I think he can enjoy a little banter and he is way more level-headed than Frank so he isn't gonna exactly tunnel you but if you and another survivor are together he will first go after you It just doesn't bother him that much because he thinks that you are trying to provoke him
Julie (Babygirl and submissive and breedable) Next to Frank, she seems pretty calm but she is also a hothead and she will be going after you with even more power than usual and your whole team ends up having to suffer because of your little joke. Every time Julie used frenzy her attack was deeper than usual and you were her main target
Susie (Babygirl) A killer who will actually be a little flustered by what you are saying She would question if you are trying to flirt with her but then will also think that you are maybe trying to make fun of her It stuns her for a second but then she is right back on track leaving you for later and first dealing with the other survivors
Spirit (Babygirl) Another flustered killer, it is just really unexpected for her to be called baby in any form and at the girl part she basically already checked out You are then also confused because she stopped moving and you thought she was phasing but no she is just completely rooted to her spot unable to process what you said
Ghostface (submissive and breedable) He doesn't know the meme but he knows that you can't mean that seriously The man with a knife going after you, being submissive and breedable could only be a joke or you had a weird definition of these words Either way, you basically asked for death but he would have a good laugh about it before putting you on a hook
Trickster (Babygirl and submissive and breedable) He knows the memes and can take the joke In his idol career, he heard these words directed at him a few times from fans so he just thinks that you are another one of his fans and that means he has to put a special show on for you
Michael (Babygirl and submissive and breedable) No reaction that you could outwardly see and you thought that he didn't hear you or the comment just has no effect on him but you swear every time he was attacking you or putting you on a hook he was even rougher than normal and he would constantly go after you
Huntress (submissive and breedable) Did you just call her submissive, I think she would ignore the breedable part and solely focus on the word submissive and that would mean weakness Definitely is pissed at you and will kill you so quick you can't even look twice

Hopefully your day is great and take care of yourself💙

Lenny holding onto a Wolford matchbook post Carnegie
There's so much to go through.
And she's happy to help. She promised Sally that when the time came, she'd make herself available to help out with whatever they needed.
And that just happens to be cleaning out the house.
And if going to Lenny's funeral and giving a eulogy had been desperately difficult, then this feels impossible, staring all of the things he'd accumulated in the face this way.
She finds herself in his office, covered as it is with crumpled up papers and old tchotchkes. The only photo on the shelves is an old framed shot of Kitty, smiling out from behind the glass frame.
Midge sighs heavily and gets started, trash bag in hand as she goes through papers and keepsakes.
She takes a breath about a half hour in, slumping down into Lenny's old chair, and lets herself daydream about what things might have been like under different circumstances. If they'd really tried to be more than friends. If he'd been able to kick the drugs.
She closes her eyes just for a moment, and when she opens them, her gaze lands on a little pack of matches on the desk. She lifts them and lets out a startled laugh.
Because they're a pack from the Wolford.
She shakes her head and grips them in her palm. "Fuck you, Lenny."
And when she wakes up, she yelps, looking around her quiet, dark bedroom in complete and utter panic.
"Miriam? Are you alright?" It's her father's voice from beyond the door, and when she slips out of bed and swings it open, he's looking very confused. "I heard a noise."
"What year is it?" she asks. "What day is it?"
"It's the day before Valentine's Day, and it's 1961, what-"
"Good," she snaps. "Good. That's-good. Just-good."
"You keep saying good, as if it will make you somehow calm down from the hysterics you seem to have reached," Abe points out. "Are you alright?"
"Nightmare," she explains. "A very sad nightmare." She takes a deep breath, slumping against the doorframe and closing her eyes briefly.
Abe nods, looking concerned still. "You've been having those more lately, you know."
"I know."
"Any particular reason?" he asks.
"I've always gotten nightmares when I feel stressed," she reminds him. "It's just- things have been..."
"You've been working very hard lately," Abe comments. "Landing that television show and still doing shows at clubs, taking care of the children." He pauses for a moment. "This all might be easier if you had a partner...a husband."
Midge stares at him sadly for a long time.
"Perhaps letting your mother set you up with someone new isn't a terrible idea," he continues. "It is Valentine's Day, after all."
She nods. "Yes, it is Valentine's Day. Goodnight, Papa."
He sighs heavily. "Stubborn."
"I come by it honestly," she points out, giving him a fond little smirk.
"Goodnight, Miriam."
"Goodnight, Papa."
*****
She wakes in the morning and gets ready. Her hair and makeup are perfect. He dress is a dusty rose color, and she braces herself to face another busy day, trying not to think about her nightmare.
But it's impossible. She can't stop thinking about that cluttered office or that matchbook. It stays with her throughout her day, even as she does a good job of paying attention to Susie and paying attention to Gordon and paying attention to Imogene and paying attention to her kids and to Joel.
She doesn't know why her brain is making a meal out of this. Lenny hasn't been in touch for three months, and she knows he's been out in California, gigging and probably spending time with his family.
The only promises that were made before he left were that she would work and he would try to kick the dope, and they'd parted on friendly terms, but...
But they'd parted.
If her brain is trying to remind her she misses him, it's doing a good job. Or a terrible job, depending on how you look at this.
Rare is the night where she doesn't have a gig, or kids to feed, but Joel on dad duty, and Susie has started building in two days a month where she's not working.
"Hello, Dear, you look exhausted," Rose comments, obviously getting ready to leave. "I have a dinner meeting with a client tonight, and your father is working late at the paper. Zelda made some lovely herb-crusted chicken for your father, and there's plenty left."
"Thanks, Mama," Midge grins, feeling about as tired as she looks. "I might eat some and then just- take a bath. Get some sleep."
"That's a good idea. You relax tonight, and we'll talk more in the morning," Rose promises. "Your father said he talked to you about maybe asking me to set you up."
"I'm considering it," Midge admits. "I just need a little more time to think."
Rose nods, patting her daughter's arm. "Have a good night, Miriam."
She watches her mother leave, and once the door closes, Midge takes a long look around her quiet apartment, and bursts into tears.
And it feels good to have a good, hard cry. It's hard to find time for it these days, she's almost always covered in people and always, always busy.
It takes her a little while to stop, and when she does, she decides on the bath instead of the food. She's just not hungry.
Hasn't been hungry.
She runs the water as hot as she can stand, and normally she'd pin her hair up and away from her face, but she's not in the mood tonight.
Tonight, she sits in the water, poking at soap bubbles, waiting until she's acclimated to the temperature.
Midge takes a deep breath, and sinks under.
And stays there for a long while, holding her breath, closing her eyes. Letting the world sink away, if only for a few moments.
When she comes back up, nothing is different. But she does feel a little better.
She stays in the bath for a while longer, until the water goes tepid, before getting out and draining the tub. She brushes and dries her hair. She puts her face cream on. She wraps herself in a warm robe.
Maybe she should just fucking call him. He left her his number "in case of emergencies," Lenny had stated. "In case something big comes up."
She can just imagine that conversation.
"Nothing is really wrong, but I dreamt that it was five years in the future and you died terribly, and I was helping your mother clean out your house and now I can't stop thinking about it so hi, how is California? Is your office as much of a disaster as it was in my dream? Did you hold onto a matchbook from the Wolford, by any chance?"
She dismisses the idea, makes herself a drink, thinks briefly about seeing if Joel will fuck her brains out just to feel something different, dismisses that idea too, and settles on getting drunk instead.
Three drinks in there's a knock on the door, and she wonders briefly is Joel is here to fuck her brains out so he can feel something different, but when she swings it open.
It's Lenny.
"Happy Valentine's Day," he says sheepishly, a small batch of roses in one hand.
"No vacancy," she tells him, before slamming the door in his face.
And she can hear him laughing on the other side of it, and knocking again. "Not looking for a room at the inn," he calls. "Just a quiet drink at the hotel bar."
When she opens the door again, he's grinning at her sadly.
"Roses are a very romantic flower you know," she tells him as she lets him in. "You could give a girl ideas with those. Assuming they're for me. They could be for someone else."
"They are not for someone else," he assures her, handing her the flowers. "They got a little frosty on the way over. Snowing again."
Midge nods and takes them to find a vase to put them in. "How is California?" she asks as she steps into the kitchen.
"Warm," he tells her. "Annoying. But worth it to see my kid...you look different."
"My hair is still a little damp. I washed it."
"Must be it," he concedes. "You're great on Gordon Ford, by the way. Really, Midge. I catch it every time I'm home for it. You're so fucking good."
"And I didn't even have to go on a date with you to get your opinion," she smirks as she settles the flowers into a vase and adjusts them before lifting them and moving to her bedroom. "You must be losing your touch."
Lenny follows her, concern coloring his voice. "Midge, what's wrong?"
She whirls around and looks at him in the eyes. "Why are you here? I haven't heard from you in three months, and you gave me a number that I'm only allowed to use in an emergency, meaning you didn't want me in your life, so what are you doing here now?"
"Mostly to apologize," he admits quietly, holding her gaze. "For being a fucking coward about this. About us."
"There isn't an us."
"There should have been." He takes a step towards her. "There still could be. I've been working hard to stay clean. I've been looking at apartments here in the city. I thought if you were feeling forgiving...maybe..."
Midge takes in a sharp breath and feels more tears threaten her.
And she has to wonder.
If she says no, does she start them both down the path of that awful nightmare? If she says yes, do they both avoid that fate? And is it deeply arrogant to think that her dreams have any baring on real life, or that if they do, she can enact change on them?
These are all deeply stupid questions.
She slumps down onto the edge of the bed. "I had a nightmare that you died of a drug overdose," she tells him.
Lenny freezes, tilting his head and looking confused.
"It was a terrible dream," She tells him. "And it's been following me around all day, and I think maybe I'm still mad at dream you for dying like that. Even though the real you is standing here, clearly alive."
Slowly, he regains movement and takes a seat next to her. "I'm very sorry that dream me fucked up so badly."
"I appreciate that," Midge grins a little. She sighs and reaches for his hand, threading her fingers with his. "And I am feeling forgiving."
"That's good, because I have a plan to make this up to you," Lenny tells her, snapping with his free hand. "A nice Valentine's Day dinner tomorrow night. Lindsay Trent is playing at a dance hall in Harlem after that, I thought we could go, hear some good music, catch up with the fellas, do some dancing, and then see where else the night takes us."
Midge nods. "That does sound really nice. You're lucky Susie scheduled me two nights off in a row this month. She didn't want to get me angry in case I wound up with a Valentine's Day date."
"Smart woman, that Susie," he says, stroking her fingers with his, looking down at their hands. "So? Tomorrow night?"
"You can pick me up at seven."
"I guess I should let you get some sleep then," he comments without moving.
She holds his hand harder, and he gazes at her.
"Stay with me?" Midge asks. "I know Riverside Drive isn't exactly your scene, but-"
Lenny leans in then, and presses a kiss to her temple. "I think I can manage one night without breaking out in hives."
She keeps her eyes closed, her muscles relaxing for the first time in...she doesn't even know.

so this is the "v and rufus talk about s" fic! its somewhat long so ill be throwing under a readmore. hope yall like it!
"Y'mind heading to Venus? I don't want to leave you waiting here for a while... Savvy?"
"I follow, I'll head that way now. Seeya later."
Obie shoots V a wink as he walks off into the steam tunnels to find the exit. V's face erupts into a deep shade of red.
They shake the incoming thoughts out of their mind and take a deep breath, psyching themself up to enter the unlabeled steam room turned secret lab. This was important. They opened the door.
"Hey, Rufus? You got a minute?" They called out.
Rufus looks up from his book. He was sitting at the table in his very compressed normal living area.
"Of course. What's going on?"
V sat down at the table with him. It was clear they were quite anxious about it. They spoke as clearly as they could.
"I'm just all balled up about this and you're the only person I could go to about it..."
"...What was S like?"
Rufus cocked his head at V, he was confused.
"Couldn't you ask Susie? I mean, she is your mother.. right? She would probably know more about S than me."
"... I've tried. She never told me much. Momma always kept things bottled up and away from me, even as an adult. I've just had to piece together an image of him from remnants of the past."
V was fidgeting with their ring. Rufus' expression shifted to a more solemn one. He slid a bookmark between the pages of the book he was reading and set it to the side.
"I see. Well, in that case, I'll try my best to answer your questions about her. Anything specific you'd like to know?"
V thought for a moment.
"What was she like to you?"
"Hah. S was a troublemaker, that's for sure, but they always had a kind heart for the people and things they cared about. One time she brought home a racoon from the forest while it was pouring because, and I quote, 'It looked so sad out there!'"
"Even though he barely understood a lick of the books I read, he always was so supportive. He would also tease me relentlessly about being a nerd, despite being just as much, if not more of a nerd than me!"
Rufus smiled at the thought.
"And.. While I've only known you for a couple days, I can see you've picked up his adventurous spirit."
V had been nodding along with the cadence of his speech up until he had said that. They looked up at him.
"... Really?"
"Really."
...
"I have more questions."
"Go ahead."
"Why did they even leave for the north in the first place? I've read a lot of conflicting articles on the subject and I just want to know."
"Well, the short answer is to help people. They heard about the problems the cows were causing out there and wanted to help as many people as they could."
V raised an eyebrow.
"And the long answer?"
"She wanted adventure and the little farm we lived on just couldn't supply it anymore. You can only go wandering in the forest so many times before it loses its magic, you know. Though, he wasn't lying when he said he wanted to help people. I know that. He sent a postcard every day he was on his adventure, telling me about the people he'd helped and the wacky things he did and saw. I didn't understand his reasons when I was fourteen, but I understand them now."
"Oh, I see. Well, that's inte- wait. They wrote you postcards?"
V stared intently at Rufus for the answer. He rubbed his neck sheepishly.
"Er, Yeah? I wrote letters back if that matters."
V's staring didn't cease, but it was clear they were processing some things in their head.
"... Rufus, my buddy, my pal... Your signature sucked."
Rufus was bewildered.
"What?"
"Your letters. S kept 'em and I ended up finding them while looking through her stuff that Momma kept. I couldn't decipher the signature for the life of me, even with her help. If I had figured it out I would've been in contact with you way sooner."
He seems to cringe a little.
"Oh gosh, sorry about that."
"Don't be sorry, it doesn't matter now anyways. But, uh... Would you still happen to have S' side of the letters?
"I do."
"Please spill it."
"Alright, alright, let me go grab them."
Rufus stands up and walks towards his bookshelf. Kneeling down, he grabbed a small beat-up box from the bottom shelf. He returns to the table and sets the box down with a soft 'clonk'. It was slid over to V to view.
"These are the postcards S wrote to me in their heyday. But, as more time passed the postcards I got were few and far between. I'm pretty sure the last one I got..."
Rufus pauses and pulls out a postcard from the bottom of the box and skims through it before offering it to V.
"... was about you."
V takes the postcard and begins reading.
Dear Rufus,
Sorry for no letter in a while! I've been having a time the past couple of months... This past week actually has been really interesting, though! Me and Susie recently released a little bundle of joy into the world and they're so cute... We haven't decided on a name yet, but yeah! You're an uncle now! I sketched them in the corner so you know what they look like. Hope you're doing okay!
Sincerely, S
As promised, in the corner of the postcard is a sketch of an infant being swaddled in a blanket.
"Huh. Well, that's one way to announce a child."
V carefully picked up the stack of postcards out of the box, making sure to put the one they'd just read at the bottom.
"I'm just gonna... speed through these all, 's that jake?"
Rufus nodded.
"Go ahead. Just be careful with them, these old postcards are sort of fragile."
"Gotcha."
They begin reading and damn there are a lot of exclamation marks here. There's also plenty of talk of sidequests, stuff like a chef needing things, a nun needing purple grass, ttrpg nerds having fun, jellybean finding, etc, etc. One of the more vivid stories involve a circus and the weird things involved there, the sideshows, the clowns, and the nature of the ringmaster. There is also a surprising amount of violence described in a cheerful tone, like at least four instances of something like "I killed a bandit gang!!! Their screams were funny and I stole their bones."
On a less distressing note, he sure did help out! Helped with trains, helped kill a big necromancer, helped trap some big evil cow guy, and helped keep some weird future guy at bay? That's just swell.
V set the postcards back in the box and they stare at the table, very unsure about how to feel.
"That was much more than I bargained for and I really don't know what to do with this information now. Genuinely, what the hell did I just read?"
"The north was a wild, wild, place back then. It might be better to think about it later."
"... Y'know what? I think I'll do that, my head is spinning from this."
V stands up from the table and floats over to the exit.
"Thanks for answering my questions and I hope you have a swell day."
And with that, they left.

"Your Choices Don't Matter" Deltarune Analysis
So choices not mattering is definitely a theme in Deltarune, and whether it will hold true or be subverted, only time will tell, but it still is a theme. And I've been thinking for a while on some exact instances of when our choice has no effect, and what those times might mean.
For this, I'm not talking about broader points that lead to the same conclusion, like how you get castle town whether you fight or not, I'm going to be talking about choices where nothing, not even the dialogue, changes no matter what choice you make. Someone's probably done this before, idk, but here's my take. Warning, spoilers for both Normal route and Weird route of Ch 2.
I'll start with Susie, since she has the clearest examples of this.
Susie has a ton of cases where she blatantly refuses to listen to the player. In both cutscenes where we follow her, it doesn't matter whatsoever what choices we make in that time. Left or right? She always goes left (our left) first. Cool or romantic? She always gives the same answer. Nothing we do changes that. Also, this lack of response isn't just because Kris isn't there to tell her anything. We've given commands before while Kris is unconscious. So this seems to imply it's something about Susie specifically that makes us unable to command her.
This trend continues other times involving Susie, too. In the first chapter, she even cuts us off before we can even give an answer. Twice. Along with deciding to go off with Ralsei in chapter two without caring who we choose to go with.
All of this together seems pretty indicative that Susie can just ignore the player if she wants to, and she's one of the few people who can do it consistently. Which, to me, seems like it's leading up to something in the future. I doubt she'll keep listening to us forever, and she probably has her own opinions of how she wants this all to go down.
But hey, Susie isn't the only case where this happens, let's talk a bit about Ralsei next.
For the most part, Ralsei's sort of the opposite of Susie. He gives the player a LOT of choice, he seems to try to as much as he can. We have a whole dialogue tree in the training bit at the start, he asks us a lot of questions and lets us answer, he'll even let us refuse listening to the prophecy. But there is one time where he's more insistent, and asks us something without caring for our answer.
In the prison segment in Ch 1, Ralsei directs us to the Susie-Lancer cutscene, and that's one of the few if not only times where Ralsei uncharacteristically won't have a different reply depending on how we answer. If I remember right, either way, he just goes "well, regardless of how you feel..." and starts the cutscene anyway.
Considering he appears to be talking to Kris during this cutscene, it might not be surprising that he's more insistent on making us leave, but it's still somewhat ominous. However, in chapter 2, he will allow us to skip that cutscene interestingly enough, although I'm not totally sure if that's a choice of his or a choice of Kris's.
Both of these examples were a character not caring about our choice due to their will, but Noelle's examples of this seem to have a different meaning.
I don't recall Noelle ever responding the exact same to our choices in the normal route, but in the Weird/Snowgrave route she actually does, quite a bit. There are multiple instances where we say something and she has the same reaction - saying "It's normal" or "It's horrible," or our replies in the Light World, I'm pretty sure she had the same reply either way. But unlike Susie or even Ralsei, this doesn't seem to be because our will over her isn't strong enough, because clearly it is, we can make her kill people. It seems like this is more emphasizing the power of the player.
In both the scenes I remember, Noelle didn't think Kris was there, or didn't think Kris could hear her. Both times, she reacted in a bit of a panic, and, at least the second time, said the voice she heard sounded terrifying. Not like Kris's voice. So I think the point of having those choices not "matter" is because it doesn't really matter what we say, as long as we are the ones saying it. Because knowing we're here, and that we're not Kris, is far more terrifying than the words we choose.
I was thinking of doing a section on Kris, but considering that would be about the lack of a dialogue box in some cases rather than the lack of different responses, plus this is long enough already, I think I'll stop here. Tell me your thoughts or anything I missed!
TLDR: Susie doesn't have different responses a lot of the time bc she's able to ignore the player's will, Ralsei tries to have different responses most of the time but doesn't once bc he has a specific goal, and Weird Route Noelle doesn't have different responses because the important part is that the player is saying it, not the words we choose.

It was a typical day at school, as far as any of them could tell; the only difference being that it had been snowing all morning long. It wasn't anything special for this time in December: they'd probably get another three or four inches by lunchtime today if things kept up like this...but still! The white stuff falling from above made everything feel so much more festive than usual. And now, with everyone bundled against the cold weather outside, there were no complaints inside either. They weren't even sure what to do next after their last test on Friday—they hadn't really done enough studying yet (though Noelle seemed confident she would have gotten an A+ without ever cracking open her textbook). But there would be plenty to occupy themselves until then anyway. Today was just one of those days where you wanted to take your shoes off and run around barefoot, even though there was nothing but carpet under foot.
"So," Susie said to Noelle as she walked over beside her desk to join her friend's conversation about who knows what. "How're we gonna celebrate Christmas?"
Noelle looked up at her and shrugged.
Susie sighed. She was trying not to sound annoyed, but it was hard when it came out sounding like that.
The other girl shook her head and smiled, putting a hand up as if to stop Susie before the latter could say something else. "It'll be fine." Her voice was calm, placating—and yet somehow reassuring at the same time. "We've got all the time in the world...we can make our own traditions if you want...it doesn't matter that much right now..."
She trailed off for a moment, then continued with renewed enthusiasm: "Besides! We have the whole week off from school!" That last bit made both of them smile; they were very excited by this prospect, having been cooped-up inside their classrooms since early October.
"I know," Susie said with another sigh of exasperation...but she didn't have any choice now but to go along with it anyway. "Okay," she agreed reluctantly. "You're probably right. It's just—"
"Hey, look," Noelle interrupted. She pointed to one side of the room where Kris had taken his seat at an empty table. He was still wearing his uniform, but he'd added on some new accessories today—a pair of red glasses that looked like they belonged to someone else entirely. They reminded Noelle of Ralsei's sunglasses, except these ones weren't so dark and sinister looking (though that was certainly what most people thought). She wondered if anyone else noticed how much better they suited him than the black frames did. Probably not—everyone was too busy staring at the weird stuff going down over in the corner.
Susie followed her gaze and rolled her eyes again before turning back to face Noelle once more. "Whatever." The other girl sighed and shook her head, as if she couldn't believe she even needed to say this out loud in the first place; then she turned away from the window to stare straight ahead at nothing in particular for a moment or two. Finally she spoke up: "So...you wanna get something to eat after school?"
Noelle nodded slowly; she hadn't really been thinking about it until now, but she could see why Susie would ask. Her stomach rumbled loudly enough that she knew everyone around them must've heard it, but she didn't care about that right now either.
"Sure," she replied with enthusiasm. This time Susie actually smiled at that—she seemed genuinely happy by that response. It was strange seeing that expression on someone else's face...but still nice. { TYPE: Short-form story * M2 }

oo i think susie and ralsei or noelle and ralsei are good dynamics, so hm maybe... for the former, something from when they split up from kris and were at the fair? and for the latter it could be in snowgrave to spice things up, maybe related to ralsei knowing of her ice magic and power even when she doesnt showcase it
Gonna go for 'snowgrave Ralsei & Noelle' because I've had snowgrave on the brain recently:
Ralsei perked up as he sensed a Lightner enter into Castle Town. He put down his book and hurried out of the castle, making his way over to the town's entrance. Kris was there, marching forwards, looking like they were on a mission.
"Kris!" he greeted. "Welcome back!"
Kris didn't say anything. They kept walking.
"Um--what brings you here?" Ralsei tried.
"Shopping," they said simply. "Checking if there are new weapons."
"Weapons...?" Ralsei questioned, unsure. "W-well, I guess that's fine. Did you want me to--"
"No," Kris cut off.
Ralsei recoiled from the bluntness, but Kris didn't seem to care, continuing to stride off towards Seam's store. Ralsei was about to follow, but before he could, he felt another presence enter the fountain, and he let his shoulders relax. Susie would know what to do.
But instead of Susie, a deer monster fell down from above, snow-white robes billowing out from her as she dropped to the ground. She stood up on shaky hooves, looking down at herself with growing horror.
"Noelle?" Ralsei asked in surprise, stepping forward.
She yelped, jumping back and staring at him with wide, fearful eyes. "Who--who are you? How do you know my name?"
"I'm Ralsei. I guess we never did properly meet, did we?" He frowned; something was wrong. "Are you okay?"
"Right. From the... the rollercoaster. Gosh, that feels like a lifetime ago," Noelle said softly, taking him in. "This... isn't a dream. Oh, Angel save me..."
Ralsei furrowed his brow. "Wait, you didn't know? I figured since Kris brought you here, they'd already filled you in."
"They--they didn't bring me here," Noelle said, her voice barely above a whisper. "They were acting strange, so I followed them."
Ralsei's eyes widened. "Strange how?"
"It's... hard to explain," Noelle mumbled. "Nobody else seems to notice it, but they havne't known Kris as long as I have. Or... maybe I'm just finally losing it." She gave a harsh laugh. "What's the difference anymore?"
"Noelle..." Ralsei took a small step forward, worry spreading across his face. "When we split up with Kris in the Cyber World, you were with them, weren't you?"
Noelle's eyes widened. "How did you know that?"
"A feeling," Ralsei said. "What happened while you were with them?"
"That--" Something visceral flashed across Noelle's expression for a moment, but just as quickly, she pulled it back into a somber, half-lidded frown. "Nothing happened. Nothing important, anyway."
Ralsei heard a soft crackling sound, and looked down to see frost slowly creeping out from Noelle's hooves. His eyes widened, but he tried his best not to show that he'd noticed, meeting Noelle's eye and taking another slow, cautious step forward. "I just want to help," he promised, putting his hands out placatingly. "If something happened--if Kris made you do something--"
"STAY BACK!" Noelle shouted suddenly, throwing a hand out towards him. Glittering fleks of ice swirled dangerously around her fingers, and Ralsei could see tears of ice frozen fast to her cheek fur.
He paused, taking a healty step backwards and holding up his hands in surrender. Then his attention was drawn to something on her hand, and he gasped. "Noelle... why are you wearing a ring like that? Doesn't it hurt?"
"What?" Noelle asked, confused. Then she brought her hand up to her face and gasped, recognition mixing with terror on her face, and she quickly clenched her other hand around the finger, hiding the gnarled ring from view. A few crumbs of dust trickled out from under her clenched hand. "That's--I just--don't look at that!"
"Noelle--"
"We were just getting stronger, okay?!" she cried, stumbling backwards. "They were helping me! It was--it's fine. Everything's fine! I--I should go."
The ice under her hooves crunched as she swiftly turned around, walking away from him.
"Noelle, wait!" he called out, running after her. "I can help you! I don't know exactly what's going on, but--but I think I can help!"
Noelle was quiet for a second, but when she spoke, her voice was low and cold. "You'd only get in their way." She turned to look over her shoulder, icy tears glinting out from her lower eyelid. "Please, Ralsei," she begged. "Please don't get in their way."
Then she turned back around, stepped into the light, and was gone.

I made some small references for all the current characters in Rulesrune! Yay! They took forever and probably around 20 to 30 minutes each.
The Contest
This is a personal contest I'm holding since I will be away at camp for a whole week and will literally have no contact with the outside world. None. So why not hold a contest?
What you'll be doing
Pretty much I want to see a swap AU of Rulesrune but find it to complicated myself. So I'm holding a contest to see who'll do it best.
Don't worry you will get something! There will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners!
All you have to do is design what you think Rulesswap would look like! That's pretty much the minimum. You don't have to do all the characters but the more the better!
Prizes
1st place will get rights to the Ruleswap AU and two free drawing requests from me as well as a drawing of your version of the characters
2nd place will get two free drawing requests and a drawing of their version of the characters.
Lastly, 3rd place will get one free drawing request and a drawing of their version of the characters.
Starting to finish
The start is right now! And the finnish is the 3rd of August. To enter, just use #Rulesswap ! This content is also being held in both deltarune au aminos, deltarune amino, undertale and undertale au amino and lastly my DA.
Character information.
This is to help you a bit.
In this AU it is MANDATORY for a Darkner to wear gloves when in the presence of a Lightner because when a Lightner and a Darkner touch bad thing can happen. Usually, the Darkner absorbs the Lightner, merging the two and making it impossible to separate them without killing one or both. Once a Darkner has absorbed a Lightner (this is usually not by choice) they can absorb other Darkners as well except they have a say in the matter since they're now "evened out".
Lancer is a smol bean at first. Due to an unfortunate, unforgettable, and unforgivable incident with his father he has a clawed gash across his face. Due to this, he's now color blind. He tends to asks Ralsei and Rouxls Kaard if he'll ever see a rainbow again. Unfortunately, he probably wont. Now later on Lancer finds Susie injured and attempts to help her, not knowing the gloves rule. This, of course, results in them merging and he now sees Susie as his invisible friend. In battle he uses a boomerang and when knocked out an axe will spin above him. Thats just Susie being over protective.
Rouxls Kaard Was just as cheerful as all usual until the incident happened or what the dark world likes to call it "The fall of the spades". After Lancer had been injured, Rouxls took it appon himself to get even with the spade king and by even I mean strait up beat the guy to a bloody pulp and toss him off the side of the castle. Of course, this most definitely killed the king and the kingdom was not happy. Rouxls, knowing about the geat door, took Lancer and C.Round to the door to escape. The guards chased them and they barely made it in. From then on they lived with Ralsei. Things were fine at first until the merging happened. Lancer had gone off and Rouxls was worried where he had run off too. So he went to go look for Lancer, accidentally passing him and Susie. He then found Kris who was concerned or at least curious where their friend went. Rouxls, not able to turn down any child at this point, agreed to help Kris find their friend when they heard Lancer yell "Dad! I'm lost!" Rouxls, in a rush, grabbed Kris and ended up merging with them. Rouxls Kaard is now a very very silent person and seems to have some personal grudge against Ralsei now, as if he knows something that he didn't before. Rouxls with occasionally talk to his soul but its very rare for him to talk at all. Rouxls use to lance in his pare time so uh..thats kinda how he attacks I guess.
Ralsei is alot taller than usual. He's about 6 feet, maybe a little shorter. This makes him a bit intimidating but Lancer loves him as if he was his own dad. Ralsei is kinda quiet but will talk if someone talks to him first. He's pretty nice and tends to take care of things when Rouxls needs a break. After Rouxls and Lancer's merging with the Lightners him and Rouxls haven't gotten along. They tend to fight (usually not physically because Lancer would notice) fairly often and it causes alot of tension. Lancer thinks his dads get along great so they have to at least pretend to like each other when smol bean is around. Ralsei, though very polite, has someone wrong. Very wrong. Its hard to describe but lets just say hes not all that he seems. He's been caught by Rouxls trying to absorb C.Round and Lancer wich has increased the distrust. No one knows who Ralsei merged with but he hates talking about it and seems to have developed a fear of flowers. Mostly big ones. Ralsei, even though he has poor eyesight, thends to avoid wearing his glasses because when he dose he freaks out. Ralsei is fairly skilled in fire magic due to him practicing alot. He also has vines, though extremely rare. He usually avoids using them at all costs and when he dose its purely accidental.
Jevil oh Jevil. Just as crazy as ever, maybe even more. He's still imprisoned but this time he wants to make a deal with you. He wants your soul. Jevil says that he can literally give you the world if you give him your soul. He'll sing about it during his fight and increasingly get more frustrated when you refuse. This Jevil loves to sing so more often then not he'll sing what he has to say. At the end if his fight, no matter how you defeated him, he'll turn into a scythe. Usually Lancer and Rouxls Kaard leave since they find the dungeon creepy but Ralsei will stay behind and take Jevil for himself.
Seam is the courtyard magician to the new king. Who's the new King? you'll find out later. He's a fairly straightforward cat and prefers to keep his magic acts as a profession. He admits that he misses Jevil but is to scared to go and see him again. He's afraid Jevil will be mad for imprisoning him. This leads Seam to be a bit jumpy since he thinks Jevil might have it out for him.
RK's C.Round dosent have much to be said about them. They fallowed Rouxls Kaard and Lancer to the great door. They lived with them kinda like a pet, keeping Lancer company and out of trouble. They're a great guard dog.
Asgore? You may be a bit confused. Why is Asgore in all of this? He's not even in the picture! Well do I have a story for you. You see, in the light world AKA hometown Asriel has been deemed missing since he went off to collage. Its been 3 years longer than he said and everyone was worried. So when Asgore went missing things got hectic. Undyne started doing more patrols and a curfew was set. Now, where do you think the last place Asgore was seen at was? It was the school. Asgore was helping fix some things and went to put something in the closet when he somehow entered the Dark World. There are multiple entrances and he just so happened to appear by the castle. The other kings had yet to be freed and the kingdom was in disarray so Asgore, being the kind hearted soul he is decided that he would be the new king. It took some convincing and research (as much as there could be) but he finally did it and the people are fairly happy.
Dogtrio is a set of 3 C/K.Rounds that work together. C/K.Rounds are more powerful in numbers. The one with the heart on his crown is their leader. He usually commands and heals the other two during battle. Together, combined, they can summon D.O.G. The acronym is unknown.
Robbert, Bobbert, and Elli are best if friends and like to change anyone. More specifically, they want to take down RK for killing the spade king. Unfortunately, they're just 3 idiots in a trenchcoat. The only lethal one is Robbert but he's so busy trying to make sure his friends don't fall off a clif or miss fire their bubble rocket launcher that he can't actually kill you. Bobbert is bubbly and kind and honest doesn't know what he's doing. Elli is mute yet kind and heals the other two when they get hurt.
Susie was absorbed by Lancer and is now considered his guardian. She protects him when no one else is around and helps describe colors to him. She'd go ballistic if anything happened to him.
Kris is just...Kris? They don't have too much do them. They don't talk and kinda just float around RK, waiting for the chance to escape. But they can't. They never will. It's slowly making them violent. Watch out.
Clover is just normal clover. They still haven't found a boyfriend yet.

(still in ormond still) reader becomes friendly with Frank and always asks him to introduce him to the rest of the gang/let her hang out with them, but he lowkey doesn't want her to know they do bad boy (tm) stuff. one day she catches him out doing some wack illegal stuff w his friends and it's teen angst time
you wanted angst and Oh Babey you’re getting it
You noticed Frank during the first few weeks after his move to Ormond; he’d just kind of meander and linger around town. Ormond wasn’t too big, so news of a newcomer spread quickly and your interest grew, your desire to get to know him growing and eventually you found yourself trying to talk to him and get closer with him.
Frank, to your surprise, reciprocated as he seemed to be open to your advances. He’d accept any invitations to hang out and even asked you on occasion. Most of your time together was spent wandering around town or hanging around at your place listening to music, eating pizza (does Frank even like pizza? probably), talking, and so on. You two became pretty good friends.
He made passing comments here and there about a few others he would get together with; some other kids he met when he moved to Ormond. There was Julie, whom he seemed to really like, Susie, a shy but sweet girl from what he described, and Joey, who Frank seemed to always have some sort of entertaining story about. The way he talked about them warmed your heart; you knew how being new in town could make it hard to connect with others but he seemed like he was doing fine.
You began asking Frank if he could introduce you to the others as you were eager to meet them, but you were met with hesitation. After some prodding, he gave in and invited you to come along with him up to an abandoned chalet in Mount Ormond where you finally got to meet the others. As expected they were a lovely bunch; but something about how they behaved around Frank was a bit off.
The last thing Frank wanted was for you to find out what their weekend activities consisted of; their nights filled with riotous behaviour of petty theft and crime. It was bizarre, he usually didn’t care if anyone knew what he was up to, but when it came to you? The thought of it filled him with an unusual dread.
As a result, he always came up with excuses to avoid you on the weekends; his foster dad needed him, he was out of town, and so on. He forbid the others from telling you anything as well and tried to ensure you weren’t anywhere wherever they decided to crash. It went well for a few months, you didn’t pry and Frank managed to keep everything under wraps.
The night was going well, for Frank and his group. Julie had joined the others with a complaint about some employee at a fuel station who had been giving her problems for the last few weeks, and it quite honestly pissed Frank off so him and the others set off to teach the guy a lesson.
It was nothing major, just some choice words coupled with some minor threats vaguely promising some sort of harm or harassment if the guy ever bugged her again. By far it wasn’t the worst they’ve done to others, considering this was more or less payback for him bothering Julie, but to an outsider who didn’t know the full story it seemed that they were harassing the dude just because….. which is how it appeared to you.
It was pretty late that night and as a result no other stores were open, forcing you to have to take a trip to the gas station to pick up a few things. While browsing an aisle of the small shop, you heard the door open and assumed it was someone in the same situation as you. That, however, changed when you heard voices begin to raise in volume and you… recognized them?
You rounded the corner and saw Frank and his posse grouped around a guy - probably mid 20s, not much older than Frank - giving him a hard time. You didn’t hear exactly what they were saying but you could hear words such as “-ever again-”, “mess with”, “fuck you up”, “watch out-”, threats and vicious words that you honestly couldn’t believe would come from Frank or his friends. It… disgusted you.
“Frank, stop it!” Was the first thing you said, your voice shook but was full of absolute shock. “Why are you saying that stuff? What are you doing to him?!” The look in Frank’s eyes was a twist of dread and regret - you could almost say he looked scared.
Frank rushed over to you, his hands finding their way to your shoulders and he tried to guide you away from the scene while stuttering out excuses you didn’t care to hear. “It’s - it’s nothing, [name], just get out of here, you don’t need to see this-”, “He messed with Julie, we couldn’t let him get away with it-”, “We didn’t hurt him or anything, just calm down-”
You shoved his hands off of you and glared at him, his excuses and pleas falling on deaf ears. “It’s ‘nothing’? Just ‘calm down’? You guys are being nasty to him - is this what you get up to on the weekends? God, no wonder you didn’t want me around. Y’know, I really don’t want to hear it. Whatever.” Was all you said before you stomped out of the store, ignoring Frank as he called your name.
You felt like you were overreacting, but your heart was shattered. They all seemed like such nice kids - Frank had always been kind to you - and you kind of felt lied to. This was why Frank seemed reluctant to introduce you to them. This was why he always seemed to make excuses about why he couldn’t hang out on the weekends. You didn’t know if you should feel grateful that he kept it a secret from you or betrayed - but either way, you knew you didn’t want to see him for awhile.
You ignored any phone calls from him, didn’t answer the door unless you knew who it was, didn’t go to your usual hangout spots, and avoided the places where you knew Frank liked to go. You still thought of him as your friend, but knowing about how he was on the weekends, made you wonder if you could ever be as close as you were before.
