“Улица Сезам” выпустила свой собственный рождественский спешл, да еще и по мотивам “Щелкунчика”. Ну... как “по мотивам”. От самой истории здесь не осталось практически ничего, кроме подаренного на Рождество игрушечного Щелкунчика - здесь это подарок для щенка Элмо Танго и это резиновая игрушка-пищалка, которая не разговаривает и не оживает. Есть здесь и своего рода Крысиный Король - совершенно беззлобный и безобидный мышонок, который забрал себе резинового Щелкунчика, чтобы тот был его другом. В общем, это очаровательная, безопасная и очень детская история про Щелкунчика, где главная задача, помимо развлечения, это познакомить самых юных зрителей с музыкой Чайковского, которая постоянно звучит в этом мультфильме и под которую поют свои собственные песни Элмо и его друзья (содержание этих песен тоже мало имеет общего с историей Щелкунчика). Правда, посещение волшебной страны в итоге оказалось сном Элмо, но это не так важно.

Time and time again during this year’s pandemic, movie studios have had to make the best of a bad situation. HBO Max’s list of new releases for December 2020 comes along with the most extreme example yet.
WarnerMedia undoubtedly had big plans for Wonder Woman 1984 when it scheduled it for a holiday release last year. After moving it to the summer, however, the conglomerate had to delay its theatrical release time and time again. Now HBO Max is the lucky winner of the saga, as it gets to premiere the long-awaited sequel on its servers on Dec. 25.
While Wonder Woman 1984 is definitely the headline this month, there are some other intriguing streaming options for HBO Max in December. The month plays host to a whole host of high-powered documentaries like Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults (Dec. 3), Alabama Snake (Dec. 9), and the Tiger Woods documentary Tiger (Dec. 15).
There isn’t much going on on the TV side of things. His Dark Materials is set to run its season 2 finale on Dec. 28. But at that point, everyone will likely be on their fourth Wonder Woman rewatch.

More ballins: Finn and Seth like to prank eachother. It started off small But now its bad. Finn switched all of Seth's coffees to fine soil. Seth convinced Finn's nieces to call Finn sweetcheeks all the time.
BAHAHAHAHA
it all started very mildly, just Finn swapping out Seth’s shampoo for one of Karl’s kids (he poured out the contents and filled it with Strawberry Smoothie), so Seth had to walk around smelling of strawberries. Then Seth replaced all of Finn’s playlist with Sesame Street songs interspersed with ‘Let the Bodies Hit the Floor’.
Then, because they are Actual Children, it has escalated into War™.
Somebody who shall not be named conspired with Karl and Luke to steal all of Seth’s shirts from his luggage, which is why Seth showed up out at the ring in one of Finn’s (causing a minor meltdown in a subsection of their fans); someone ELSE who should not be named persuaded Sasha to call Finn, sobbing about how she truly wants to be with Seth and begging Finn to break up… and then blasting “Without Me” just as Finn is at the awkward stage of trying to reassure his friend.
Finn, in retaliation, switched out Seth’s coffee. Seth, taking one sip, made a second cup and beams at Finn until he drank it too. (Coffee and tea are now off-limits - they still want to be together.)
Then Seth who is in Finn’s family group chat starts calling Finn “Sweetcheeks” ALL THE TIME, and Finn’s family are also the sweetest trolls, so they do it too (even his mom, the BETRAYAL), and now whenever they are on a skype call, Finn’s nieces always yell for ‘Uncle Seth and Uncle Sweetcheeks’.
Not to be outdone, Finn conspires with the crew and negotiates the prank with the bosses, and it culminates in the ring announcer going “Seth ‘SUGARPLUM’ Rollins!!” while the Sugarplum Fairy theme from the Nutcracker Suite plays.
(Seth can’t even walk down the ramp, he laughs so hard that he can’t stand.)

Now, this, as I'm sure you've guessed, is my first movie review.
Okay, so I watched Sesame Street: The Nutcracker Starring Elmo & Tango, even though I was 17, at my mom's friend Veronika's house in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania yesterday and I'll admit, while it was shorter than the titular E.T.A. Hoffman story and the original Tchaikovsky ballet it was based on, it was really fun to watch! The opening was pretty funny when Oscar told everyone at home about his usual disgust for the holidays, wreaths and lights and people being merry. Heck, he even told us viewers to wake him up when it's over and slams his trash can shut before we head into Elmo's apartment for his family's holiday party. I especially liked the fact that they gave Tango her own voice in her owner, Elmo's dream and I was really surprised to see the Count as the special's very own Drosselmeyer when the rest of Elmo’s friends came in to celebrate. Speaking of the Count, when he rang the doorbell to the apartment, I thought "And who could this be, as if we didn't know? Watch out for that emerald green cape. Yeah, it's the mysteriously friendly, and did I mention super smart, Count Von Count!" Plus, the Mouse is a very nice interpretation of the wicked Mouse King because he thought Tango’s nutcracker dog toy was a new friend. Looks like Elmo’s dream might have been real this whole time because of the new friend he and Tango made with the Mouse along with meeting Abby and Cookie Monster along the way. So yeah, I recommend this special to those who love The Nutcracker as much as I do.
