HWOODALTTASK11 - SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES - PART 2.

You’ve been invited by a unnamed person to a party in a huge mansion that you’ve never noticed in town before. The party is in full swing, when suddenly you find yourself locked inside of a room with another person. You don’t know how or when the doors will open, so make the most of your time. Some of the fates have brought lovers together, some of brought drama together, some are giving those the push they need, and others are luck of the draw. 

You must have some form of interaction with the person you are paired with. This can be done in para, gif, chat or chatty form. You will have from the SATURDAY 17TH OCTOBER to SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER to complete this. 

Your characters will remember everything that happens on this night. This is a Halloween party so feel free to post your characters costumes from now until the 31st. Also, if you did not sign up a character to the task, feel free for them to attend the Halloween party as normal!

Tag everything as hwoodalttask11 to receive activity credit. You DON’T receive activity credit for costume posting, that’s just for fun if you want to. You only receive the activity credit for the interaction posts.

hello everyone! im so excited to be here! im going to try my best to introduce my little diva over here lol but she's a very new character so pls bare with me lol this intro is very rushed wowow. anyways im so pumped to write with you all!

history. tw: drugs, tw: stripping

People will leave you behind if you are of no value to them. that was the first lesson Riley Meyer ever learned at the young age of six when her mother decided that raising her daughter was more trouble than it was worth. So she left.

It was two years later that her father grew an inclination towards liquor, finding it easier to drown himself in his self pity than to be a parental figure. That was the second. 

The third was when she was in middle school, when her best  friend decided that Riley’s shy nature was holding her back from making more friends. Friends that would offer more than Riley ever could.

The list just kept increasing from there. 

Having no one for her, Riley found solace in television. particularly fashion and runway shows. that was when she realized what she needed in order to be of worth -- money, fame, and power.  And so her dream to become a rich fashion designer came to be.

After graduating high school she quickly took up as many jobs as she possibly could to pay for college. Without any support from her parents, it was rough making a living on two jobs as well as studying. Riley was stressed beyond belief, as her will to work for her dream began to diminish day by that. Until one day she was offered a job by a local strip club on her way home from her evening shift. Apprehensive didn’t even begin to describe how she felt about taking up a job like that. It was way outside of her wheel house. However, it  didn’t take long for Riley to bite the bullet. She needed money and she needed it fast.

Working as a stripper was the best and worst thing to have ever happened to Riley. Not only did it give her the money and time to work on her career, but she also managed to make friends. Friends who understood what if felt like to be left behind. Friends who Riley believed had her best interest at heart. Boy was she wrong. While working there she ended up participating in party favors. Drugs. The hard stuff. The type that made her forget her own name. It was all fun and games at first. She would only do them whenever she was in need of a pick me up. The trouble began when those moment became more common as the years went by. 

She even got a boyfriend while working at the strip club. There were as toxic as it could be but what else would you expect from a relationship where the number one thing you have in common is your affinity for drugs? Still, he was Riley’s first love and she really did love him. In her own twisted, messed up way. She gave him everything she had and even then, it was not good enough. He left her one day without a word and to this day she has no idea what the heck happened to him.  

The heartbreak both destroyed and fueled Riley. On one hand, it made her dependancy on drugs that much more intense. Needing any fix she could get to stop feeling. Sadness was replace with anger and that determination to become powerful was what got her to where she is today. The moment she graduated college, she packed her bags and headed to New York where she worked as a fashion designer for a prolific agency. 

Now in Springhill, Riley decided it was time for her time for her to start working on making her own boutique and becoming her own boss. Or so she says. In truth she had been fired from her old job after showing up to the office intoxicated and high off her rocker one too many times. Springhill was a fresh start for her. One where she was determined to get clean and finally get her shit together. . We’ll see how long that lasts.

one minute she's nice, pleasant even and the other she is cold and a little bitchy. 

super judgmental tbh and her face does absolutely nothing to hide it. 

a hard working perfectionist. 

outwardly confident. walks as if she owns the place!

her insecurities slowly turned to anger and now homegirl is just mad at the world lol 

super protective? has the capability to be a great friend tbh. 

would bury a body to protect someone she cares about lol

rarely laughs tbh? and when she doesn't 8/10 it's fake.

wanted connections 

this is so lame lol but maybe childhood buds/bullies, former stripper buds, a drug dealer, maybe someone to show her around town, tinder dates, maybe they both get stuck on an elevator, a hook up or two lol, honestly let my girl be the bad guy she would totally lead someone on, annoying neighbors, fashion lovers, she's bi too so maybe a lady lover idk idk, maybe your character and Riley get in a car accident lolol  im down for anything friends.

this is the request for richard’s kids! there’s seven of them in total, and they were all raised in new orleans. richard’s family comes from money - his grandfather was the ceo and founder of his own company, which richard is now the ceo of, and his wife (who i’ll also be requesting) also has family money/money of her own. so basically, the kids were never wanting for anything. that doesn’t mean they were spoiled- richard and his wife made sure they knew to appreciate what they had and tried to turn them all into good people, and bad behavior was always punished and never rewarded. 

they were relatively ~cool parents, though. always bought their kids alcohol and allowed parties to be hosted in their house, if you called home at 4am drunk af you’d never be in trouble because they’d rather be woken up than have a drunk driver on the road. richard really likes to cook and they have a bi-weekly/twice monthly family dinner at the house, that as much people as possible come to.

they’re all pretty open? i have ages and genders but otherwise go wild. face-wise, they should look similar to daniel craig or shantel vansanten, who’s the oldest, but i don’t have a set face for the mom so. names should be similar to “rowan”, a list can be found here!

last names can obviously be different if they’re married. also pls feel free to give them kids because richard loves being a grandpa!! he’s also a Total Dad and lives to make cringe-y dad jokes/embarrass his kids.

rowan conway -- 32, mommy blogger/writer, jupiter, shantel vansaten.

+ rowan is the first of seven kids in her family, and honestly, she’s loved every second of it.  from the time she was old enough, she helped take care of her younger siblings and she has never not loved it.

+ i won’t say too much on her history because aspen plays her dad, so tbh idk a lot of it is open, but the family has always had money and they’ve never really wanted for anything???  

+ she started dating her boyfriend in ninth grade when he was in eleventh grade and they were like… The Perfect Couple.  everyone was jealous of them and life was great and tbh if they would have been in the same grade, they would have been "cutest couple" or "most likely to grow old together" or whatever.  he proposed her junior year, and obviously they didn’t get married or anything until after that, but it was all just… so Real.

+ the fall of her senior year, disaster struck.  her and her core group of friends, the people that she hoped she would know for the rest of her life, got into some…. trouble.  i have to figure out the full ~specifics, but pretty much it was as if until dawn meets i know what you did last summer.  a guy died, and they essentially were the ones that did it.  and then, to top it off, a few months later the guy’s girlfriend killed herself.  the group of them made a promise to never talk about it again.

+ thankfully, she had her fiance (who never knew about what happened) and she made it through her senior year.  at graduation, she found out that she was pregnant (she puked in a bush before walking across the stage) and that was that.  the two got married a few weeks later, they got a nice little house thanks to her parents, and she did the mom thing while her now-husband went to school to be able to support them (it helped that her husband followed in her father’s footsteps and he immediately got hired out of school).

+ three more babies followed over the years — all of them girls.  tbh rowan was so excited to have four little girls that she didn’t know what to do with herself.  i have a LOT of feelings about kids and i’m not gonna go into details here but know that i’m the trashcan that develops out characters’ npc kids 8)

+ a little over three years ago, rowan found out she was pregnant again, and imagine their surprise when they found out that she was gonna have a boy.  tristan was more than thrilled to finally have a little boy, and literally just… the world was their oyster.  unfortunately, rowan had some complications near her due date and landed in the hospital; when her husband was on his way to the birth of his only son, he was struck by a drunk driver and killed on impact, almost instantly at the time that she gave birth to tristan joseph conway jr.

+ it was hard, suddenly being a widow with five kids, but thankfully rowan made it work.  it’s been a long road, but life has started to look up again.  she took all of her sadness and put it into a mommy blog, giving advice to other moms out there and essentially crafting her way into mommy-internet-stardom.  a few months ago she published a book and it’s on its way to the best-seller list in terms of DIY/mommy books, and it’s just all a crazy whirlwind.  she’s also started dating again and life is just… not looking too awful bad right now (though believe me, she still has her moments of utter sadness over the loss of her husband).

+ rowan is probably the most maternal, warm-hearted person you will ever meet.  she puts her kids first before herself, always and no matter what.  literally lives her life to make sure her kids have the best life possible.  she never meets someone "new," as she tends to instantly make friends with people.  literally just a bright, warm ray of sunshine @ everyone.

+ is like… housewife of the year.  the house is always (mostly) clean — especially now that her kids are older and can help out — and responsibilities are divvied out to make sure that her kids know the importance of hard work.  while she grew up with never having to have a job and always having someone care for her, she very much believes in being hardworking and giving everything her all.  between the check she got when her husband died and the money that her parents help her with, and then, more recently, things with her blog and book, she’s not doing too too awful for herself or her kids.

+ rowan can be very hard on herself — always wondering if she’s doing the right thing for her kids, wondering if she should raise them differently, wondering if she should go out and get an Actual Job because she knows that she’s gotta be being judged by someone.

+ hates being criticized; she’ll take it if you give it to her, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t going to go bawl her eyes out afterward.  she also hates conflict — at least, with adults.  she just prefers things to be smoothed over and happy and hunky-dory.  when it comes to her kids, though, she can deal with that.

+ has a really hard time saying no; like she takes on a lot and loves it, but sometimes she should really just be like "no, i’m busy" or "i have too much on my plate right now" but instead she just….. piles it on.

+ needless to say she drinks A Lot of coffee lmao

+ i am very much in love with her and am very sorry for what i’m going to put her through in the near future, but……. she’s my fave.
