Perhaps the funniest death in the Sims franchise (from Sims: Bustin Out.)

According to a job listing, EA may be experimenting with squeezing the remaining money out of their older titles by expecting you to pay more money for products you already bought but as a month subscription because no one seems interested in The Sims 5 and they don't know how to beat new competitors bringing legacy games to modern devices through a cloud based service!

Sim Dump: Bustin Out Console
CC included, much like my TS1 Console sim dump they've all been made using Pooklet's method, and are all in one 7z.
Mimi and Dudley Landgraab:
Artie Fischl and Charity Grant:
Max and Goldie Toane:
Makino Nada and Vaughn Braun:
Fanny Adore and Humphrey Hawks:
General Payne and Maxine Powers:
Ying Yangst and Chase Skurtz:
Mona Lott and Bing Bling:
Randy Hart (who gets a pink anime hair cuz I have no rainbow afros in my folder oops) and Paisley Rainbow:
Debbie, Candi, Ginger and Pamela Frutti! I made Debbie a dark blonde since she was a blonde in TS1 console.
Peter, Ziggy, Woody and Rod Tutti:
And as an added bonus: May Party Girls Frutti and Randy Party Guys Tutti! I figured I'd add them here since they were marriage candidates in TS1 Console along with the other Tuttis and Fruttis but weren't carried over into Bustin Out.
Download them all here!

I've never seen anyone talk about this (mostly because nobody plays these games really) but do you guys remember Dudley Landgraab?
His wiki page says he appeared in two (possibly three) games throughout the early years of the franchise: The Sims (Console), The Sims: Bustin' Out (Console), and possibly the Urbz: Sims in the City (Console). He's the son of Malcom Landgraab, and usually appears alongside his sister, Mimi. But he's a genuinely interesting little freak???
I haven't played the original Sims, but according to the wiki, it seems like he's an early game NPC who's characterized as a slacker and a party animal. He's a member of the Landgraab family but doesn't seem to have much contact with them.
In Bustin' Out, he's the first house available to move into when you start the game (the other option being his sister's place). He seems to be a straight up criminal in this one, possibly working in the burglar career (you can't check in game so we don't know for sure, but the schedules seem to coincide according to the wiki). His ex-stepmother (your mom) hates him. It's referenced in his bio that his dad cut him off. He's living in a shitty bachelor pad trailer. Not crazy out of pocket considering the other places in that game.
In the Urbz, there's a much more interesting development, though. In Kicktail Park, the local hangout for a bunch of weird skaters, there's a guy named String Bean. Nothing particularly interesting about him on the surface, but in his profile on the Urbz website he seems to be incredibly secretive and weird about his past/identity. Under his dislikes, one of the things he hates is being called Dudley.
That means there's a decent chance that they're the same guy. He got tired of living in a trailer and being a family disappointment, so I guess he went off to the city to reinvent himself.
I love the weird tidbits of lore that you'd never know unless you scrolled through defunct websites and wiki pages made by people who are way too invested in these games.

Nicki Knack!!!
So here's some sims-lore you probably never picked up on!
in the sims 4 country kitchen kit (that's right, even KITS in this game have lore!!!) there's a jar which has a description that mentions Nicki Knack and her relation to ... well ... knick-knacks!
this tells us about Nicki Knack, a young lady here but an old woman in the sims bustin' out (on GBA)
In TSBO, Nicki is seen working at a thrift shop and according to her wiki page, she has been working there for over thirty years at the start of the game, along with something said about 'keep[ing] the marble jokes to yourself'
Already we see that her parents seemed to have rules that they never explained as to why, but ones that had to be followed anyway, because they said so
if you look at her wiki-page, then this is when we also learn that she may be related to the Knack family from the sims 3 in twinbrook
the family consists of the mother Pattina, the father Nick as well as their YA daughter Julienne
whether or not you wanna believe that Nicki is related to them, it may be worth noting that the Knack parents both are perfectionists (as the trait suggests)
the dad on the one hand, not only does he have the perfectionist trait, but he also very much is the opposite of scattered and absent-minded and messy
if not for the fact that he's a surgeon, so he probably needs things to be stored 'in their place' where he can find them, but more so for the fact that he also for one has 4 skill-points in logic and for two has the ''can't stand art'-trait
his traits tell us that he is a type-A, organized, tidy, and minimalistic, which not only conflicts with his name, but also with his otherwise artistic wife
the wife, on the other hand, is also mentioned in another object from another pack in the sims 4, the movie hangout stuff pack!
if Nicki really is related to the Knacks, then it could be that her love for trinkets and artistic findings came from Pattina's love for the same things. Who knows, maybe there are more Pattina Knack originals in Nicki's thrift shop?

The club from Sims FreePlay reminds me of Club Rubb in Bustin Out. Especially with the old daiquiri maker.

by @marzmud
Love the Sims Bustin' Out? Love building or creating sims in cas? Then these challenges might be for you.
What is this?
One build challenge and one cas challenge to recreate Bustin' Out lots/NPCs in TS4. (A gameplay challenge is also in the works! And you are more than welcome to recreate them in other sims games as well!)
What are the rules?
Recreate a lot or sim inspired by one from the Sims Bustin' Out (view full list here). Lots should keep the same basic layout and sims should have the same basic vibe, but embellishments and extra details are encouraged. Have fun with it! :)
