I don't know if I'll ever finish this fully (there are meant to be some butterflies) but it turned out cute so I'm sharing more of my OCs as MLPs.

Wave Length (Russel, dark blue) makes video game mods and runs a patreon- the worst socializer you've ever met in your whole life, but he's a great guy. He and Passion Project are earth ponies with some far-back giraffe in there.

Passion Project (Stan, yellow) does a lot of community help that people need- he's very kind and caring and likes to meet new people and make his step brother go along (Wave doesn't mind)

Poppy (Poppy is his name in his canon too) is an orphaned diamond dog puppy the two found and took in. He's a little rough around the edges, very shy, and pretty quiet, but a sweet little fella that loves nature and naps in the sun. He usually rides on one of the two pony's backs- and it's usually Passion's, because Wave Length is built like a stick insect and not very strong.

But also part of my decision there was that Giratina doesn't translate well to specifically the magical girl aesthetic. That's probably also a creativity issue and probably also my lack of experience with magical girl anime.

I do have to stress this every time I talk about my burning dislike of Reddit that like, I used it for years, in smaller communities. And I still hated it. It’s just something about the culture that is very different to a place like tumblr. Reddit culture is very much entrenched in cisheteronormativity and bioessentialism. Also that I’m forced to engage with or at the very least see the posts of every other person in a community, vs here on tumblr, where I choose individuals. And because of all these different people pooled together under one community moderated by random volunteers, stuff gets messy and cliquey often. And either way, even when you find a good subreddit, it’s still like you’re sitting in the middle of a burning wreck of all the horrible bigotry and extremely frustrating casual micro aggressions of the average user on the site. It was. A terrible experience. As a trans disabled person. So much so that it still makes me angry to think about.

Anytime someone would make a pride flag in Minecraft and post it to the Minecraft subreddit, it would get downvoted by dozens of horrible little bigoted children. And like, is that REALLY the kind of website I want to be spending my time on? Fuck no. No matter how “good” I try to make my individual experience there, that shadow is always looming over me, and it made me feel terrible. Ok rant over.
