Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun Tickle HC: Asmodeus Alice!

Asmodeus Alice is a powerful demon with high prestige due to his bloodline and heritage. Welding immense fire bending abilities and shooting to the top of his class, does he have any weaknesses??

Discovery:

Asmodeus. Is. Ticklish. Almost everywhere. Though he had no idea until Iruma came along. The three friends were relaxing in the park when Iruma was having a tickly dig at Clara, to which Asmodeus questioned what was so amusing, which led to an explanation in which Iruma says 'Tickling is just a fun way of making someone smile and showing that you care.' Asmodeus then DEMANDED a turn, practically throwing himself at Irumas feet for the chance to feel the physical touch he so loved from his 'master', like a puppy demanding tummy rubs! Though he wasn't fully prepared for what was coming his way.

"Master Iruma! Please, you must show me this tickling at once! I want to know how this spell works so that I may cast it upon you in any hours of darkness that may arise and-GYAHA!"

Lee:

Asmodeus loves being tickled. Adores it. Especially if it's from Iruma, he will tolerate if his classmates want to show a little affection, but Iruma does it best because he's Iruma! He will become flustered when Iruma offers, but that's normal behaviour from this smitten little demon.

Because of his touch deprived childhood, Asmodeus seems to have become hypersensitive to touch. He's very ticklish, meaning he can't be tickled for too long or too harshly, or he'll get tuckered out.

The spots that can't be attacked for too long or too roughly are his underarms, thighs, and feet, though only two specific friends know of that last spot.

He gets Lee moods quite frequently after discovering his newfound love of physical touch. And he's never too shy in asking either, as long as he doesn't feel like it would burden Iruma since he's the only one he'll ask. Others can offer, and he might accept, but, you know, Iruma is all. And tickling is a special thing reserved mostly for he and Iruma! "Master Iruma! If it's not too much of a bother, could you possibly lend me a few tickling fingers? I have missed our little playful tussles!"

A little thing the others do which Azz loves, they'll just sit by his side and softly trace up and down his back, sending gentle, tickly, electrical shocks up his spine. He melts at the feeling, eyes fluttering, his cheeks puff up as he tries his best to stay still. His giggles are all muffled, and the occasional squeaky huff or gasp passes his lips. It's so relaxing yet to tickly at the same time!

Same goes for kneecap tickles. Just a friendly splay of fingertips spreading across his knees is a lovely way to make him smile. And he usually welcomes it as long as you're close enough as friends. "Oh, of course you can sit by my ssssihide-! Gh-!"

When the tickles aren't soft, Azz is a wriggler. He will squirm and flail and grab at any hands coming his way. He can't help it. It's like a built in self defence mechanism, even though he thoroughly enjoys the feeling.

And his laugh, oh his laugh! When it's harder tickles, he's loud. VERY loud. He has a bright and hearty belly laugh, with those very well-defined 'HA HA' sounds.

Softer, tiggles get little jittering giggles, lots off 'pff-' and 'Gah-!' sounds as he tries to stay still and enjoy the sensations.

Tickle his ears, and he's putty in your hands! No matter who you are, whether or not he accepts it, he turns to absolute jelly. Knees buckling, giddy snickering, it just seems to turn off his brain, replacing it with the warm and fuzzies!

He's feather sensitive, too. He was taken down by a feather duster during their class clean-up session and never heard the end of it. Quite literally 'knocked over with a feather'.

Overall, tickling is very important to Asmodeus after Iruma introduced him to it. He knows that whenever his friends get him, it's out of that good ol' platonic love!

Ler:

Asmodeus? A ler? Yes! Despite him being an absolute giggle bug, Asmodeus Alice also enjoys giving Iruma his friend's some tickles once in a while!

"You have the most wonderful smile, Master Iruma! Show me, won't you~?"

His tickles are light and playful. He's worried about going any rougher in fear that he might hurt someone. He is immensely strong, after all.

He's the sweet kind of ler. Never pinning his Lee, preferring to let them free wriggle. He finds it amusing to watch.

Very curious as to what kind of tickles work where and is intrigued by all the sounds you make.

He will sit behind and softly poke up and down your sides, leaning his head on your shoulder as he giggles at your reaction.

"Now, what was it you said that makes it tickle more? Oh! Kitchi, kitchi koo~!"

He'll blow in your ears, too, chuckling at the squeaking sounds you make.

Tickle hugs! Yes, he loves them. They're a quick reminder from him that you're friends.

Warm hands. Always. He'll always warm his hands before tickling anyone. He leaned this after Iruma shrieked when Asmodeus slipped a freezing hand round his waist for a tickle. Now he reminds himself every time.

"Are you alright? Do you need some water? I can pet your hair if you want!" He's so caring once he's finished giving out tickles. Even though no one is ever out of breath due to how soft he is. He still feels the need to make sure you're okay.

Asmodeus, usually cold-toned towards anyone who isn't Iruma or Clara, seems to have found an outlet for being friends with others. And he's loving it! Giving and receiving both make him all giddy and loving. 🩷

JJ's super interesting reactions to Kie showing affection towards anyone that isn't him

Okay so this shit makes me so incredibly sure about JJ’s feelings for Kiara that I truly cannot see how some people don’t realize it.

Quick psychology lesson (pls don't yell at me if this isn't perfectly accurate, psych is complex and that's why i love it okay):

Reaction formation is a defense mechanism in which someone tries to hide or appease unwanted emotions by openly expressing the opposite of them.

Projection is another defense mechanism in which someone displaces their own emotion onto someone else in order to avoid dealing with it internally.

I think that JJ subconsciously employs a combination of these two defense mechanisms in response to his feelings for Kie.

The unwanted emotion: We know that JJ had apparently tried to take things further with her sometime pre-season 1, and we can assume that he got rejected, probably because of the whole “no pogue on pogue macking” rule. But those feelings don’t just magically disappear, especially when your crush is one of your best friends whom you constantly see in a bikini.

The reaction: So, I think that in order to try to repress those residual feelings for her, he jumps on the idea of her potentially liking John B, and later Pope, and becomes kind of obsessed with both of those relationships. Instead of expressing his own romantic feelings, he projects them onto his other friends and then tries to appease his jealousy through actively egging on the relationships.

In reaction formation, the expression of the opposite reaction is usually very showy and exaggerated, and I think that that definitely falls in line with how JJ seems borderline obsessed with both John B/Kie and Pope/Kie.

In 1x01, he very dramatically teases John B about Kie telling him to be careful, and basically implies that John B is an idiot for not pursuing something with her already.

And then in 1x02, after Kie has kissed John B on the cheek, JJ teases him in the same exaggerated way again, insisting that he can clearly see both of their feelings for one another. This eventually leads to John B kissing her later in the episode.

With Pope/Kie, JJ definitely seems more outwardly jealous, but he still hides a lot of it through this obsession over the relationship, trying to ask Kie how far they’ve gone sexually and then giving Pope advice. And then just like with John B, JJ's advice directly leads to Pope trying to be more physical with Kie after they get the gun out of the sewer.

Importantly, I definitely don’t think that JJ is doing any of this consciously. He is the most loyal person ever, so I highly doubt that he would purposely try to sabotage his friends’ relationships and jeopardize the group dynamic for any reason, much less one that involved his own feelings. I really do think that this is an example of his immature defense mechanisms shining through without him realizing it.

Other examples include him immediately shutting down and getting defensive when the Pogues disagree with him in 1x07, as well as him blowing the stolen 25K later on in that same episode. He also uses deflection A LOT, but I think that one is much more of a conscious choice. (i could do a whole other analysis on his defense mechanisms and i just might)

JJ is a flawed character who has been shown to not be very good at verbally expressing his emotions, so to me, this seems like a plausible explanation for his behavior regarding Kie’s relationships with John B and Pope.

TL;DR, JJ acts like the #1 John B/Kie and Pope/Kie superfan, but he really just has unresolved romantic feelings for Kie that he can’t express in a healthier way.
