Alright Trekkies. I broke my own heart with some more deep thoughts about Star Trek and now I have to share so buckle up.

First off, planets give off light. That’s really how we see anything in the universe. Everything is light.

Maybe seeing a specific exoplanet with any clarity isn’t very doable these days, but I imagine it’s a very different story in the Trek verse, especially after 200 years of advancement.

So the planet Vulcan is about 16 light years away from Earth. That means that even after it’s gone, for at least 16 more years, it’s light will still reach Earth.

Just imagine that. Being a Vulcan on Earth, knowing your world is gone, but being able to look into a telescope and still see it. What a bittersweet thing it must be, to see the light from a dead world.

But eventually, the light goes out.

And 16 years after Vulcan is destroyed, all of Earth can see it. They can look in the telescope and watch it die. They can see the light go out.

And the light of Vulcan will never touch the Earth again.

this is Spock

he's green, you know? his blood is green so his skin is theoretically green, but they didn't have body paint in the 60s so they couldn't show it properly

and he also wears makeup you know? that cunty purple eyeshadow

in theory also his lips have to be green, but they didn't make them green. So that means he wears lipstick, red human lipstick

vulcan men aside from Spock are shown not to wear eye makeup, but they all have red lips

idk if I'm onto something or just crazy, but is red lipstick originally vulcan? I mean why would it be, they're shown to wear cold colours overall, the warmer colour being pinkish purple, so it's not a visible cultural colour

my point is, did vulcans see humans wearing red lipstick and they thought damn that's hot I'll do that too???? what??????

OC Introduction: V

V is the half Vulcan and half Q Chief Science Officer aboard the USS Andromeda. Although she looks rather intimidating, standing at 6’10” tall and having a resting face that looks naturally angry, she is a good friend, and quite reserved. She is closest with her best friend Rutek. The pair of them are inseparable and have been since they were born. They have been through everything together and the pair share a bond with each other that is not only emotional, but telepathic too. V is very smart, and in true Vulcan fashion, very logical. Underneath her Vulcan exterior, however, she is extremely passionate and is in a constant battle to maintain control of her emotions. She is full of emotional turmoil, from her fear and anger toward the Q to her love for her friends. She can also be quite impulsive and will act very quickly, often going off on her own before consulting others. She is fascinated by the universe, and wants to learn everything she can about it. She is quite curious and inquisitive, and will pursue answers to anything she doesn't know about. When not on the bridge, V can usually be found in one of the science labs, running various experiments and trying to figure things out. She also enjoys stargazing on the hull of the ship, usually sketching out and taking notes on anything interesting she sees. Although she just wants to be a Starfleet officer, she often finds herself dragged into the affairs of the Q. Each of her encounters with them has left a profound impact on her, and she tries her best to navigate through life while balancing the two different sides of herself.

I think Vulcans would really like camping.

They would take little vacations on earth and go camping. Like a safer more fun version of their Kahs-wans. Some go the classic route and hike along mountain ranges and camp in popular parks. They would love to talk about the history of the landmarks and area with park rangers and other campers.

Some may go the nostalgia route trekking through the Sahara or camping in Death Valley.

Others want a bigger challenge and go to the poles, seeing if they can withstand the cold so they have something to brag about later.

I really like the idea of Vulcans camping on earth.

Sorry I was listening to the Outer Wilds soundtrack earlier.
