I know we talk about Neil Gaiman giving us a 300K word enemies-to-lovers slow burn fic that's not going to update for 3 years, but...

He really just took that slowly built situationship and set it back to enemies, only to have to speed run enemies-to-lovers a second time in the final 6 chapters.

it would be really funny if S3 started, and we were expecting to see crowley and aziraphale separated and tense and sad, but the first scene is actually them making out instead. with no warning.

i have two modes

"they're not talking" what are you on. they are infinite intersection lines finally meeting at a colliding point only to drift apart again, not yet realizing the colission is not an isolated occurence but a checkerboard on the planes of their intricately connected existence. you'd be a fool to think they are anything but inevitable

"they're not talking" and crowley can do really weird things with his tongue. next

Aziraphale corners him between the stacks. Crowley purposely kept his back turned though, of course, he knew the Archangel was there. He could always feel that rush of Angelic presence, buzzing under his skin. He grits his teeth even as a wave of arousal ignites deep in his belly. 

Pavlov’s fucking dog, he is. 

Aziraphale’s dog. Aziraphale’s bloody plaything. 

There was a time he’d have accepted even that. He’d have taken scraps so long as he knew this was only between the two of them. Just an Us against the world and every world beyond. Crowley would have bent himself in any shape his angel demanded. 

Anything but a fucking halo. 

“I’ve missed you,” the angel’s voice rumbles as strong arms wrap around his middle. “I do miss you, even now” Aziraphale adds, his tone slipping into sadness for the space of a moment before his embrace tightens. He sinks his teeth into Crowley’s earlobe and the demon exhales a shuddered breath. 

Too easy. Satan, he makes it far too simple for his angel to take him to pieces every Heaven’s forsaken time. It’s shameless and he’s half hard already.

We've all made the "yeah, they're not talking because you can't talk with your mouth full 🌝" joke and I am so with it. However, the thing that thrills me so much about that little sentence is that it means that they eventually will talk. God, I have no idea what they'll say but I'll be waiting with bated breath.
