how do i word this in a way that's respectful but still thoughtful and articulates my valid frustrations about being pansexual in online wlw spaces... idk how the power dynamics/measures of visibility and inclusivity work for non-lesbian sapphics in sapphic spaces generally, but it's definitely been on my mind for a long time. istg i never feel this kind of invisibility/invalidation in real life ever. my sexuality is usually met with respectful, genuine curiosity (bc people tend to be confused abt the nuances between being bi and being pan, which is fair; we're not as visible and it's a pretty nebulous thing to navigate up until now). i wonder what i need to unpack to figure out why it is something i experience only in online spaces, but i want to unpack this in a way that doesn't undermine or invalidate my lesbian friends either bc these wlw spaces are so precious and vulnerable especially for lesbians. i think this is why it's extra tricky for me bc i know how important it is to protect these spaces for them. I don't want my frustrations and my desire for my pansexuality to be acknowledged/respected to be felt as an intrusion or invasion of this space. i really don't want this to turn into a "but what about me/[insert non-lesbian but still wlw experience]" situation at the expense of pushing lesbians out of focus, as they have been treated so harshly by misogynistic and lesbophobic people countless times (and we still see it happening now). but at the same time there are moments when i see such aggressive biphobia/panphobia within the same spaces that i'm just like, oh wow... oh ok..... :'0

it's so tricky bc of the overlaps. it's tricky bc people like me cannot be fit into a single box labeled "lesbian" "gay" "straight." it is not as rigid as this. i wonder if other polysexual people feel the same. :0

Fanfic Writing - New Year's Resolutions

Hey fellow fic writers <3 I know it's still not the end of the year, but it's December and I'm impatient, so I would like to share with you my writing plans for 2024 and ask you to do so too, if you want to. My Ao3 for convenience is Yuujeong, where you can check out all the things I'll be referencing below. So, in my case, I *hope* that in 2024, I will be able to: - write at least one more chapter for "Little House on the Hill" (I make no promises though, I've kind of moved on from that fic, even though it holds such a special place in my heart) - write and post the third installment of my "Heroes and Villains" series (I have neglected this one for months but I hadn't figured out this fic completely up until last month, when the full picture of it came to me and I managed to get unstuck. Hopefully, next year you'll be reading it) - finish and post the sequel to "Broken Vows" (istg I haven't forgotten it, on the contrary, it haunts my dreams, it's just such a tricky little shit that I ended up asking for help about it. It'll be in such capable hands now, and I hope people will enjoy reading it) - continue my Kim&Pete fic series (the second installment won't be too difficult to write - she says, as if she doesn't need at least a month for a fic to be written and edited before posting - but the one after that will be multi-chaptered and looong, so I'll need time and a lot of effort to pull it off. 2024 *will* see this series written and concluded though, I swear) - ARMPETE!! (I have a fic I've been meaning to work on for months now and it'll probably end up not being multi-chaptered as I intended at first. Unfortunately the inspiration for more than that has run out BUT I will enrich the fandom with this rarepair or so help me-) - write at least one BostonNick fic (there's one that's the most likely to be written, which is about Boston getting a haircut and I think it's cute and would love to explore the idea. Also, a Nick character study fic because my boy deserves the world) - write smut! Yep, in 2024 we're getting horny baby (prepare for some VP somno shenanigans, because there's not nearly enough of it in the fandom and that's a huge shame) - participate in at least one fandom event (the kpts Big Bang, while stressful for multiple reasons, was incredibly fun and I would love to do something like that again - same goes for things like Secret Santa events which are cool too) - try writing fics for some of my other favorite shows besides kpts (kpts was unique in the way only TMNT has been for me before, which was it giving me so many brainworms I needed to express my self artistically in the only way I was capable. In 2024, I would like to revisit some of my favorite shows and figure out if the same can happen with them too) I probably have more to share but I'll leave it here. Don't worry babe I'm not mad at you. I do appreciate the clarification on your intentions tho. And I get it, it can be hard sometimes to vocalize your thoughts right in text. Tone and all that, it's tricky. But honestly, if what you said here is actually what you meant, then just say that in the first place! This ask doesn't feel ageist or condescending, the first one kinda did. So I'd say just be more open to expressing your thoughts as they are rather than trying to restructure them. It only ends in losing your message in translation, which is a shame because you sound articulate and thoughtful and heartfelt when you actually express you, ykwim?

And I meant what I said, I'm not offended because I have been where you are. I vividly remember being 21, 23, 25, hell even 27, and thinking "omfg what am I gonna do when I'm 30?? 30 year olds are fuckin oooold 😩" and not understanding how I could still be "me" at that age. Okay starting off with a tricky one because honestly she shows her love in a few ways, but acts of service is her #1. In the story she allows Oswell to stay in her home when he’s in the village, she takes over teaching the children in the training facility, she helps out Albert and Alex who were attempting to make chocolate covered strawberries as a surprise for her, takes it upon herself to drive herself and Oswell to a picnic in Arklay, and even puts her safety of hiding on the line to save Ethan, Mia, and Elena Winters.

But, the woman feels as if she hasn’t done enough because of the foul words other people have said (look at you James Marcus), so she needs words to constantly reminder that she is loved and that she’s doing what she can with the situations she’s been thrown into. Also means she fits well with Oswell, because he can talk, monologue even if he truly wanted to lol.

Matilda Costache

Gift Giving/Quality Time

Matilda enjoys making things in their free time for the ones they love - Heisenberg has a blanket that he refuses to get dirty UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE because it’s that special to him, Matilda even makes a nice little memorial piece for Eva using her old doll, photo, and trinkets, so Miranda can look at it in peace in her cave. Ricardo and Hunk even get gifts - a handmade sweater and knife, a plethora of meals which the men help out with. Matilda likes to make practical gifts that they know will be looked at your used for a long time.

Matilda needs quality time - they crave it. It doesn’t even have to be something elaborate, even just sitting in the room working on their respective projects together means the world to Mat. They fit well with Miranda in that way, because they spend long hours together in the cave - Matilda trying to find Eva in the megamycete and Miranda working up plans to on how to bring the girl out. They also work out well with Heisenberg in that regard too - because they’re both working on the same project (dead cyborg army) so they get to spend a lot of time together doing that.

Physical Touch/Physical Touch

Touched starved gay man finally gets to hold hands with the man he’s fallen for - more news at 11.

But fr, the only person who ever showed him the affection he needed growing up was his grandmother and that increased after he almost died as a child. When he gets to Rockfort Island things get a little difficult for him because there’s no way for him to show that on the island without getting into a physical fight with the others. In Raccoon City things change a bit because Sorina and Hunk are the two who recognize it. Sorina treats him like a mother figure would, gently placing her hand on his shoulder, cheek, or top of his hand (until they get to the village and she’s throws her arms around him in a hug) and Hunk does so by placing his hand on his shoulder or arm in public. In private though, Hunk is more touchy (it is the 90s after all, they can’t be open about their relationship) but when they get out of the US and are in the confines of Matilda’s cabin, touchiness increases. Both of the men always have a hand or arm over the other, whether it be thigh, back pocket, over the shoulder - Matilda has already made it clear that they love them and don’t want them to feel like they need to hide in Mat’s presence, which actually takes a huge weight off of their shoulders there. Matilda uses Ricardo to lean on a lot, one because their balance sucks after breaking their leg, but also because he’s makes them feel comfortable enough to do so - just like they do with Heisenberg.

Elena Winters

Acts of Service/Acts of Service

Elena is a very devoted and loyal person to those she loves - she will do ANYTHING in order to show that, even if it means having to go into a murder house to save them. She also does it by trying to take off the weight of responsibility on other shoulders, adopting Ethan as a teenager so they wouldn’t be separated after their fathers death, helping Ethan and Mia out with Rosemary, staying with Ethan after Mia’s disappearance so he would have to worry about taking care of the apartment but instead focus on himself, helping Sorina out with her own place, her car, etc. helping Chris out with his needs like with the nightmares, taking over some of his duties with protecting the family while they’re in witness protection, etc.

Since the very beginning of her story in Sorina’s - acts of service has always been a part of Elena’s life. Heisenberg accidentally brings her back to life, takes care of her for a month until Edgar Winters shows up and brings her home. Both of his kids knew how much he sacrificed for them and he’s truly where Elena learned it from. Also considering she’s a trans woman living in Texas - not the safest place for her to be - Ethan has become very protective of his older sister and hearing Eveline and Lucas dead name her as a means to get at him made him want to sucker punch both of them lmao.

Sorina also comes through for her many times - calling the cops and the BSAA when Elena and Ethan were in trouble at the Baker House, taking over when Elenas feeling clueless on what’s going to happen next with their lives, and defending her against Miranda. Chris does so as well by stepping up for her with the BSAA and vouching for her ability to help them, he and Jill even do her training together so she’s getting the best of the best, doing things around their apartment when she’s having flare ups from the infections, etc etc. Mia also helps out and Elena comes to trusting her again after everything comes out and Mia is they one Elena goes to (outside of Sorina) when it comes to needing help with her mold infection and what it all means in the end for her.

Physical Touch/Acts of Service

Now my new son’s love languages come from a very messed up sense. He’s only ever been used for other peoples gain and the way he was shown to gain other peoples trust is through physical touch - it’s the only way that has ever truly worked for him, unlike his siblings which would be more words based. But he’s much less likely to put much stock into words - he’s been lied to enough. The way he shows it with his older siblings is through basic means, hand on the shoulder, on their arm, he likes to sling his arm over Alberts - which irritates the older man but he doesn’t always shove him off, he realizes it’s just how he shows he likes him. With Claire, much more touchy, likes to have a hand somewhere whether it be holding hers, around her waist, on her belt loop - SOMETHING TO MAKE SURE SHES THERE.

He needs people to prove to them that they’re going to be there and the only way he can truly verify that is through peoples actions. Umbrella had sullied him enough on words with their lies, Alberts the one who really instilled in him his actions speak louder than words for him. It never mattered what his older brother said, he always knew the man cared when he tossed him some extra food in the cafeteria, helped him keep his hiding place in Raccoon City etc. and even Alex funneled cash in his direction to make sure he’d be able to eat at least.

Even with Claire, no matter how many times she threatens to turn him in, she never does and in fact makes it a point to defend him when he needs it. He makes it a point to help her as well, dropping hints or a bread crumb trail to lead her to the next story to undo his own enemies on the black market. They’re enemies, they’re lovers, but he’s also gaming the system for his benefit. A nasty feral man - we love to see it lmao.

ranking my MT dream dream roles by how attainable* they are

*this is assuming a local theatre company is putting on the show, (even if they realistically wouldn’t) not broadway/national tour level lmao

Semi-Attainable

Agatha Trunchbull, Matilda: traditionally played by a male, (a thing I’m not very fond of, but don’t get me started lol) but her songs are right in my chest/belt range, and I enjoy terrorizing children, so.

Jennifer Honey, Matilda: so sweet. so kind. love her to pieces. Also sings right in my mix/head range. Mayzie LaBird, Seussical: despite it being the show everyone does in middle/high school, I’ve never been in it? but I saw a friend play Mayzie when I was little and immediately fell in love. diva icon istg

Mortica Addams, The Addams Family: now we’re talking bb!! i did a school production of the Addams Family a while ago and got cast as Alice. it was a lot of fun, but I think I’d fair callbacks better a second time around, now that I’ve had more proper training. Katherine Plumber: in my top 3 dream roles of all time. her music matches pretty well with my voice, her snark is so fun to read for, and also i can tap. i think if I picked a good audition song I’d have a solid shot.

Puck, a midsummers night dream: not a musical but i feel like a casting director would appreciate the fact that i am small and gnc and have been cast as comedic side characters. also he is tricky and I love that.

Sonya Rostova, Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812: i really love her music and her character, but her voice sits at a rlly weird part of my range?? 50/50 if I’d even get a callback

Lydia Deetz, Beetlejuice: i just don’t think it’s realistic? her specific style of belting doesn’t treat my voice very well for some reason. still think dead mom slaps tho

Persephone, Hadestown: I’m just not old enough to fit the mature ‘Mother Nature’ vibe she has goin on

Hélène Bezukhova, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812: see Persephone. im just not old enough yet to pull of that mature, slinky vibe she has. any role originated by Amber Grey is going to be out of my league for at least another 10+ years.

Lol the way I literally went 'what's sleep idk her' after I saw the update is unreal. Apologies for any unhinged comments because I'm totally not okay after whatever seonghwa pulled in the live.

Oh no... I honestly feel bad for mc, being an outcast on both sides (for no fault of one's own) sucks. And it's especially frustrating when you're trying hard to overcome something *sigh*... I'm glad that hyunwoo has found friendship even though they were basically uprooted from their home because of everything. Loved the interaction with Wooyoung, really. I mean I understand the MC's thought processes but at the same time it is interesting to see how the bond works and how much control it can have over those who are a part of it.

The guard being hurt and the whole fiasco that went down spiked my adrenaline istg. I was literally on the edge of my seat ksksksksks. I wonder what happened and who the person was and what's going on... I feel like the group might be that of halfdemons considering how they reacted but I can't be sure. Honestly, thank you for another great update hehe❤️❤️ loved it so much!

oops, i accidentally wrote a lot, my bad, so reply will be beneath the cut.

hehe, yeah, i really wanted to get the update out yesterday, but didn't think it would actually happen and then it did. and it's crazy because when i started writing it, i was hoping i would at least get about 6k words in length and then it doubled and i think i am now incapable of writing shorter chapters just like i'm incapable of writing short pieces. like, i'm addicted to writing novel length pieces, but not so much addicted to finishing them and have only like ever completed two in my life out of the many, many i've started and those were written when i was like fourteen and complete trash that i cringe every time i think about them.

and yes! i think a lot of it stems from mc's past and the way the humans always pointed out differences and how she would never be one of them, so now that she's with the daemons, she's constantly seeing these differences once more. and though the boys do their best to not mention them, she's letting past trauma dictate her thought process, especially because she knows it's going to be rough when she gets to taeyang. (little tidbit of info here, hongjoong's father may be dead, but his mother isn't and let's just say, drama may ensue)

i always find it kind of weird which side characters i get attached to when writing, and i think it starts to show in the works because i tend to involve/develop them more than others. hyunwoo is definitely one of my favorites (only second to seoyun, who i literally cannot wait to introduce in person and may or may not have mentioned her in ch. eight just because i love her so much and couldn't resist not mentioning any longer) i don't know why, but whenever i started, i always just pictured hyunwoo and jongho getting along and becoming friends, but i think as things have developed, he really fits in well with the others and i do want to expand upon that down the road.

the line between bond and natural feelings is a bit tricky, and i think it ultimately just comes down to daemons vs. humans. to daemons, who entire relationships revolve around soulmates, find the pull from the maetha as something natural. it's simply a way of life and how things work. humans, however, don't have soulmates and do life more like real life, so mc, who's lived a life dictated by human standards and cultures and customs, finds it really foreign. and since she's not at all familiar with the way it works and how important mates are to daemons, it'll definitely going to cause friction.

as for the attack, you'll just have to wait to find out. i always planned on an attack happening on their travels, but who or why hadn't quite been set in stone until now. originally, i had a different plan i was going with, and while that idea is still going to play out, i recently came up with another idea that i'm really excited to expand upon. and i recently had an epiphany about a certain character in this new idea that i really like and it's taking all my self control to not just say it because while, it might not give too much, it's definitely a big chunk of information that is probably better left unsaid for now.

ISTG, Allie 😰😰 Not sure I am going to survive watching Louis live. Something about this album that is making me so emotional in every song. I was watch the livestream last night and now I am seriously worried I may feel very overwhelmed

I get you. I’m not usually someone who gets very emotional over songs or cry watching artists - I usually disassociate quite a bit during live shows for some reason. But I feel like maybe All This Time will get me, I get emotional every single time I listen to it 🥺 Earlier this week I was listening to it at work and I had to hold back tears and that’s pretty crazy for me 😂😂 especially considering the context. So yeah, I can’t wait to see this new set live!!

More on a serious note, I don’t know where you’re going, but allow yourself to feel all the emotions and enjoy. But also, please, take care of yourself and listen to your body. If you feel like you’re too overwhelmed, sit down for a bit, have some water. Live shows can be really tricky and you don’t quite notice if you’re about to pass out or something because everything is very overwhelming ❤️ You will be fine!!

I genuinely forgot how much they packed into that one episode until I skimmed the script for those quotes! And the transitions weren't out of place/awkward, so it's really not as tricky as some might think as long as you've got editors who know what they're doing (OG doesn't seem to have an issue with that for the most part. *The* glaring mistake in recent memory was Eddie's turnout saying Buckley in 5x06 because they used the wrong angle, lmao.) Maybe Daniel can be the Keith...show Buck how different his life would be (and others' lives would be?) if different outcomes were "achieved" along the way. [Just had another idea that would have been fun to see on screen: If it were actually both halves of Buddie who were unconscious - I am not expecting that because one story from JLH where she was supposedly filming with Angela, Peter, and Kenny tells us nothing. Hen/Aisha wasn't standing there, either, and no one thinks she got hurt. - we could have had an OC-esque AU where they *know* they're in an AU and have to work to get back to their family and friends...but then when they wake up it's "I had the funniest dream..." 😛]

Glen Angst

Glens a tricky case, for one reason….

Glen like Chucky doesn’t like showing when he’s upset, only Glenda can truly tell when her siblings upset. It’s that twin bond ya know.

Glen will just hold everything in, like Glens amazing at not showing any sign of anger or rage. But when it does happen…..oh god……blood will be spilled. Glen will just blazed into a complete frenzy, of course Glens not proud of it and will hide away for like week.

And won’t even talk to Glenda

Now that I’m Glenda’s eyes is a major problem she hates it when that happens, like being cut off from her other half…..it’s not good.

That’s when passive aggressive Glen will emerge, so everybody just backs off, giving him a break. Because even Glen can get a bit scary.

It’s the little things ya know. Glen would do thing with much more force. Example making a sandwich, if Glens making a sandwich your going to here a knife being slammed down.

Then here comes the break down, when Glen’s over the passive aggressive stage, oh god here come the tears. Off they go to apologize to everyone especially Glenda and they’ll both just be in the room comforting each other.
