Interesting thing about the Big Dipper is it’s part of a larger constellation, Ursa Major, and the Little Dipper is Ursa Minor. The moles on the Yoshiki face are like the moles on his dad’s except his dad has more. Just kind of further visually connecting Yoshiki to his father with constellations.

In DR1, some of Celestia’s free time events have her share stories of high stakes gambling tournaments she’s won. Including a shogi tournament when she didn’t even know how the game is played. She attributes her gambling success to just being born luckier than other people.
Being Celestia is Celestia, grain of salt. She references some pop culture gamblers which could mean she’s stealing these anecdotes from stuff she’s read. Or considering Sakura is dating Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star it could just be another example of Danganronpa being an absurd place.
But say Celestia is telling the truth about all her wins. And that all she does is win because she’s just that lucky.
It’s weird that she wasn’t given the title the ultimate lucky student. She would seem to have multiple examples of actually being lucky.
I suspect that there’s some bias from Hope’s Peak declaring that actually, the luckiest thing is to win a spot in their school.

2012 Mutant Apocalypse obviously takes inspiration from Mad Max which is a story about a near futuristic apocalyptic world where thugs and gangs rule over the streets and it's basically all kinds of messed up but lately I've been reading this manga series called Fist of the North Star which is also Mad Max inspired and I couldn't help but wonder if the 2012 crew used some inspiration from that series as well. I mean the story is about a warrior named Kenshiro who's a master of martial arts and he goes around helping people and protecting them from the vicious criminals and gangs that have taken over the apocalyptic world that was once known as our home and if I'm remembering this correctly older Raph is a guy who wanders into different places and sometimes helps people out with his skills as a ninja while he was searching for his memories and by extension his missing brothers.
Can't help but wonder if that's somewhat inspired by Fist of the North Star, I mean it could be a possibility considering that the original show made a lot of anime references such as expressing emotions and even using certain things like anime facial features and actions to show certain moments in the show.
I don't know it's just a thought I could be very wrong about this but who knows?

Glad to see you're liking FE:A! I need to catch up lol ^-^
I'd like to request something for FE:A and FO4, but I need to know: do you know anything about Kenshiro from fist of the north star? If not I can describe the parts that would matter if you'd like
I know nothing about Fist of the North Star >.<
I would prefer if requests reference something that the referenced part is also in my fandoms just to make it easier on me (I think that was a newer thing in my rules that I added??)

Mahou no Ruby-chan
Today we're looking at the third in a trio of magical girl manga created by Midori Shimura. For context on what these are and who created them, please refer to my posts on the first two.
Mahou no Ruby-chan ran for a total of six chapters in Shogaku Ichinensei from the April 1973 issue to the September 1973 issue. With a run of only six months in a magazine for first graders, it should come as no surprise that this series hasn't left much of a mark. What's unfortunate; however, is that I haven't found much of anything else about the manga itself, like, at all. I haven't dug up any plot details, and I couldn't even find a single picture of the main character.
And if Mahou no Ruby-chan were just a manga, the story would more or less end here on a dour note. But like Mahou no Enzeru-chan, this little series got merch. More specifically, a brief audio drama of Mahou no Ruby-chan was released on a vinyl record, and the kind folks at Ric Mania have uploaded the whole thing on YouTube.
youtube
My Japanese listening comprehension is rather poor, so take this with a grain of salt, but what I can glean from this is that Ruby-chan is a tiny, energetic witch from a magical forest in a magical country on a magical star. She lives with her mother and father, as well as her nanny (who is a black cat if I'm understanding correctly). Ruby is friends with the animals of the forest and she uses her magic to try to help her family, but at times these efforts backfire and hijinks ensue. She befriends a boy named Goro who she tells about her magic, and naturally he ends up getting roped into her shenanigans as well.
Two things about all of this are interesting to me in relation to contemporaneous magical girl anime. One is that Ruby casts spells with a tongue-twisting magical catchphrase that I'm not even going to try to transcribe. These were quite common among magical girls of old, such as Sally the Witch, Himitsu no Akko-chan, and Chappy the Witch. They would even show up in slightly later witchy magical girl shows like Ojamajo Doremi, while magical girl warriors a la Pretty Moon have historically favored English word salad for their incantations.
The other noteworthy detail about the audio version specifically is the cast. Most of the voice actors here have also done voice work in a handful of magical girl anime. The narrator is Yoshiko Ohta a.k.a. the original voice of Atsuko Kagami in Himitsu no Akko-chan and the voice of Akko's mother in the 80s reboot. Ruby herself is voiced by Yoneko Matsukane whose only other magical girl involvement appears to be a bit part in episode 6 of Cutie Honey. The cast also features a number of Mahou no Mako-chan alumni, with Hiroko Maruyama, Akira Kamiya, and Isao Sakuma (who voiced Taro, Senkichi, and Akira respectively in Mako-chan) voicing the nanny, Goro, and Ruby's papa respectively in Ruby-chan. Nearest I can tell, the only other magical girl project Sakuma has been involved in was Esper Mami, where he voiced a couple of bit parts. Maruyama and Kamiya on the other hand are MVPs of classic magical girl anime. Hiroko Maruyama played supporting roles in Himitsu no Akko-chan, Majokko Megu-chan, Pastel Yumi, Sweet Mint, and Hana no Mahoutsukai Mary Bell. Akira Kamiya has a couple small roles in magical girl anime of the 70s, as Jun in Miracle Girl Limit-chan and Kinsaburo in Majokko Tickle, but his most notable roles in the genre wouldn't come until the 1990s. This man is the voice of Professor Tomoe in Sailor Moon S (i.e. Sailor Moon's most popular season) and Professor Kisaragi in the 1997 shoujo reboot of Cutie Honey, titled Cutey Honey F. And as if that wasn't enough, he's also a famous voice actor just in general, with his best known role being Kenshiro in Fist of the North Star.
Getting back to the manga side of things (inasmuch as it's possible to do so), Mahou no Ruby-chan would be Midori Shimura's third magical girl manga, but it would not be her last, as she was also tasked with adapting Limit-chan and Megu-chan to manga. Shimura's career as a mangaka was brief, lasting only from 1971 to 1975. In that time, she penned 11 manga, FIVE of which were magical girl. That is the highest ratio of magical girl titles to non-magical-girl titles we'll see on Mahou no Manga for quite some time, possibly ever.
At the risk of getting too sentimental, researching Midori Shimura's work and her contributions to the magical girl genre have really put into perspective why I'm doing this project in the first place. It would be fun to give my two cents on magical girl stuff people already know and like, but it ultimately feels more worthwhile to excavate the ones people probably don't know about, even if I don't always feel like the most qualified person to do it. I can only hope to give Chalk-chan, Enzeru-chan, Ruby-chan, and others like them a fraction of the recognition they deserve.

The Freedom of Expression, radio version - Ep 44, August 2016 - Announcement of another live special, Pokemon Go, Palm reading/Palmistry.
Kaoru starts by saying that the details of the next 'special live broadcast' have finally been decided. On August 9th at 1am, they will do a two hour broadcast. (Only one this time, unlike in December when they did two). The title of the show will be, 'The Freedom of Expression Special - The best of the first half of 2016. Back stories from the other side of the world'. 'The other side of the world' referring to Dobashi in Brazil. All of the Tokyo Sports team will appear on it, including Kami. He has never missed a days' work but he should be on his summer vacation so it'll be ok. They will talk about some of the best stories of the year so far, and Kaoru invites the listeners to send in any of thier favourite news stories too. He had intended to play some more new jingle entries on today's show, but says he will play them during the live special instead, and finish the campaign there for now. He says he will be much more generous with handing out stickers this time, as he has only handed out about 5 since he first made them.
Next Kaoru mentions that Utafumi has been released at long last, about 3 days ago. Before the release date he was only able to play the promotional edit version, but now that the release date has passed, he is finally able to play the full version, so he goes ahead and plays it.
Next, Tasai joins them for the Tokyo Sports corner. Tasai isn't sure whether they should allow Hiranabe on the upcoming live broadcast. The theme of his fist topic is the game Pokemon Go, which was experiencing a world wide boom at the time. Tasai and Joe ask Kaoru whether he plays Pokemon Go. Kaoru says he does play it, but is not mad about it. He's caught about 100 pokemon so far. Joe does not play, and asks Kaoru what exactly it is that you do in Pokemon Go. Kaoru laughs and replies that he doesn't even know. Tasai then explains the concept of the game to Joe. He then goes on to say that despite its world popularity and massive gain for Nintendo, it has brought with it some problems. For example, there was a case in Miyagi prefecture where two Chinese people trespassed onto private land playing it, and there have been various cases nationwide of pokemon appearing inside nuclear power plants. Joe says misuse of the game cannot be ruled out. For example, it could be used to boost crowds at demos if many people gathered to collect pokemon. If you knew how to use it skillfully you might be able to manipulate peoples' movements. Kaoru realises the political implications of this if you could secretly get a lot of people to gather in a specific place, at a specific time. Tasai also adds that China and Russia are both worried about the app, because they fear the images caught on the app might reveal military secrets if they are shared overseas. He also doesn't like the way salarymen in Japan hold thier phones up at odd angles in the street while playing this game. Its a bit scary. He doesn't want to end up getting caught in thier images. Kaoru mentions a collab bewteen Pokemon Go and First of the North Star, and Tasai says it would be pretty bad if a Kenshiro appeared outside your house and a crowd gathered to catch it. He thinks we need to be careful with this type of thing. Joe suggests the idea of 'Hiranabe Go', but realises that no-one is likely to download it.
Kaoru plays his next record, which is Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time'. He played this record because it reminds him of an anime he used to watch as a kid. The anime Midoriyama kōkō/緑山高校 had this song as the ending theme for its summer vacation broadcasts, which were aired in Kansai every day from Mon-Fri during the school summer vacation. Kaoru loved watching it. Joe has no idea what this is, so Kaoru explains its a baseball themed anime. He admits that he recently introduced it on his blog, so this is actually a bit of self promo for his blog.
Tasai's next topic is about the comedian Shimada Shūhei, who also happens to be a palm reader. At a recent event, Shimada had been asked by reporters about the kinds of palms he's read up to now. He answered that when he read the palm of the comedian Ijiri Okada, who is known for playing an erotic/pervy character (エロキャラ), he discovered that he had no 'erotic line/エロ線'(Girdle of Venus in English). In truth, playing this character is strictly work for Ijiri, he takes it very seriously as business. Shimada also had some interesting info about the life line (生命線) and Joe asks all the listeners to take a look at thier own life lines while Tasai explains. Apparently, if you have an extra line on the inside of your life line, you have extra strong vitality. Looking at his own hand, Kaoru says he does have an extra line. Joe does not. This is apparently quite a rare feature, and Shimada has only seen two celebrities who have it. One is TV star Kuroyanagi Tetsuko, the other is rakugo performer Utamaru Katsura. Both are pretty old, but still alive during this shows broadcast (Tasai hopes, with nervous laughter). Tasai then makes the others guess one more public person who has extra life lines. Joe guesses Hiranabe. He may have the vitality of a cockroach, but no, its not Hiranabe, says Tasai. After a few clues they get the answer of female wrestler Yoshida Saori. Yoshida actually has three extra life lines, making four in total.
Joe asks Kaoru if he's ever had his palm read. Kaoru says he has. He was told that his fate was to become wealthy. Back when he first moved to Tokyo 20 odd years ago, he went to visit a shrine for New Years prayer with a few people from the offce, including his boss (*Dynamite Tommy?*) and there was a palm reading stall at the shrine. So they decided to give it a go. The palm reader said straight away, 'Ah, you will be wealthy'. Kaoru says he is not wealthy...laughs from the others.
To finish, Kaoru repeats the news that a summer live special will be held on August 9th, he is a little nervous about broadcasting live again. He asks listeners to send in news or jingles for the live broadcast, then plugs his tour, and new single.
Songs - Dir en grey/Utafumi (Full version), Cyndi Lauper/Time after time, Dir en grey/Taiyō no ao.

Ultra-violent post-apocalyptic anime 'Fist of the North Star' becoming a stage musical in Tokyo
TOKYO
What comes to mind when you think of a stage musical? Maybe a bunch of cats, singing about things they remember or some guy with half a mask and a way too possessive crush on a girl?
Well how about a bunch of muscle-bound martial artists punching each other until somebody’s head explodes?
Japan’s Horipro Stage theatrical production group has announced that it’s currently developing an adaptation of "Fist of the North Star," the 1980s anime/manga classic about martial artist Kenshiro wandering a post nuclear-war world and protecting the weak with his pressure point-targeting punches and kicks. Even by ‘80s anime standards, "Fist of the North Star" is shockingly violent, but Horipro is planning not only to turn it into a stage play, but a musical as well.
Playing the lead role as Kenshiro will be 32-year-old Yusuke Onuki, an experienced musical actor whose past roles include "Marry Poppins’" Bert and "Billy Elliot: The Musical’s" older Billy in their Japanese productions. Realizing that Kenshiro is of a beefier build than the typical musical male lead, Onuki has been working with a persona trainer since the start of the ear to build muscle and cut body fat. “Physically, this is going to be an extremely demanding production,” the Kanagawa Prefecture native says in regard to having to sing, dance, and fight on stage. At the same time, he’s looking forward to portraying one of Japan’s most recognized and popular pop culture characters. “'Fist of the North Star' is a series that has been loved by so many people for such a long time. I feel a lot of pressure, so I want to turn in a performance that people will be satisfied with.”
▼ Kenshiro (left) and Onuki (right)
Other cast members announced so far are Takuya Uehara and Kandai Ueda “double cast” as Kenshiro’s rival Shin, to use the Japanese stage term for two actors who play the same character in different performances.
Kanata Irei and Rio Uehara will alternate as Rei and Juza...
...and Kazuki Kato and Ryunosuke Onoda double cast as Toki, the only one of Kenshiro’s brothers without an unquenchable lust for power.
Pointedly, Raoh, Kenshiro’s greatest adversary, is listed in the cast of characters for the musical, but with no attached actor yet announced.
With 27 collected manga volumes and over 150 anime episodes, "Fist of the North Star" is a long series, and it’s unlikely the musical will adapt the entire saga. In describing the musical’s story, though, the play’s official website references the assassination of Kenshiro’s master Ryuken by Raoh and the kidnapping of his lover Yuria by Shin, so it’s a safe bet that the hero’s battles against those two antagonists will be covered to some extent.
On the production side, "Fist of the North Star-Hokuto no Ken" (the official title uses both the series’ English and Japanese names) is an international effort, with a Japanese director and playwright, Sachiko Ishimaru and Ako Takahashi, Chinese choreographer, Zhao Ming, and American composer, Frank Wildhorn. Wildhorn, who is coincidentally married to former Takarazuka actress Yoka Wao, also provided the music for "Death Note: The Musical," another Horipro Stage production.
Fist of the North Star-Hokuto no Ken will premiere at Tokyo’s Nissay Theatre this December, and the producers say it will also be performed in China sometime in 2022.

Where do the names of your rabbits come from? Do these names have any meanings? How many rabbits did you have at the start? Are any of your rabbits related to each other?
Shiro: Because he is white and shiro-iro (白色) is “white color” in Japanese.
(Mama) Mimi: Her ears were the first thing I noticed about her. Mimi is also ear(s) in Japanese; 耳. She passed away a few years ago.
Speedwagon: It’s a cool name and a JoJo reference to the best JoBro.
Mimi (Jr): Named after his mom when we thought he was a girl. His balls dropped and the name stuck.
Goku: Dragon Ball’s Son Goku.
Coco: My little brother named her that. Unfortunately, she passed a month before Mama Mimi did because she ended up digging into our old neighbor’s house where we used to live and was attacked by their chihuahua. I had to bury her in the morning of, a literal hour before a college final.
Dovahkiin: The dragonborn from TESV: Skyrim. My little brother named her.
Kenshiro: Fist of the North Star protagonist. Omae wa mou shindeiru.
Scathach: Irish warrior goddess from the Isle of Skye who trained “Irish Heracles,” Cu Chulainn.
At first, we only had Shiro and Mama Mimi because a friend’s family was raising rabbits for meat. They were their last two and they gave them to my family thinking we were going to eat them. Obviously, we were smitten and kept them as our pets.
This was before my family had the resources/knowledge to get the buns fixed, but Shiro and Mama Mimi did the deed and out came most of the buns we know. Oldest to youngest for the biological siblings goes Speedwagon, Mimi Jr., Goku, Dovahkiin, and Kenshiro. There were also other buns that we had to give away to the San Diego Humane Society before we were able to get them fixed.
In January, my friend from work got home to see that his fiancee had made an impulse “pregnant mind” (his words) decision to get a bunny when they already had two dogs, a young kid, and a baby on the way. He called me asking if I wanted her and not even twenty minutes later, he showed up at my door with her. Took me two days, but I named her Scathach (I think I was able to pull her twice from the Fate/Grand Order gatcha twice with an extremely lucky roll arlund that time too) because it’s a cool name. (I was bouncing between either Scathach or Ereshkigal, the Mesopotamian goddess of the underworld).
With the exception of Scathach being adopted, all of my buns are biologically related. Make sure to spay and neuter them. I learned that lesson the hard way. I hope that I was able to answer all of your questions sufficiently. 11/15/2020

Since I mentioned it last night, here’s the list of quirks I made for most of my muses! Basically for their MHA verses if they ever become a thing! It’s a bit long so I’m putting it behind a cut!
Bolin - Quirk: Earth-Bender, a pretty self explanatory quirk. It allows him to control Earth and stone for both offense and defense. However it's weakness is obvious too, the things he controls can't be artificially made or at least mostly artificial, like Cement. He has evolved his Quirk recently, by focusing very hard he is able to make the Earth he controls heat itself through pressure enough that it turns into Lava, that he can still control. The process is very taxing and can cause lots of collateral damage.
Asura - Quirk: Wrath, Asura is someone who is very prone to anger and that anger is able to make him stronger and stronger. But his body alone can't take all of the stress of his building strength so to vent it, it forms arms made of "Wrath energy". These arms can break and when they do it causes his body to take backlash greater than the energy the arm was made of. He generally fights with 6 arms. He's been coming up with a special technique where he can merge the energy arms with his own to great effect.
Eddie Riggs - Quirk: Heavy Metal, Eddie is able to manipulate the world around him through the music he creates through his guitar, Clementine. Such as causing explosions, or blasts of lightning. Of course it comes with a downside, he needs to remember very specific chords to get specific effects. It's a good thing he wasn't born with a lack of musical talent.
Superman - Quirk: Man of Steel, Clark is one of if not the strongest Hero on the planet, at least in his heyday in the 30's and 40's. But even today, having aged very little comparatively, he is able to absorb Solar energy, the more he has stored the stronger he is. Extraneous acts deplete the energy faster than it can be replenished, especially his super moves. Another downside is that a specific chemical element, Krypton can render him powerless if he is exposed to too much of it.
Doomslayer - Quirk: Rip and Tear, one of the least commerically friendly quirks. The Doomslayer's quirk is simple. He gets stronger the more he brutally kills. It is a good thing he is a Hero(Or at least, not a Villain), the amount he gains per kill is quite small, an average non-quirk having human would become 25% stronger after a kill, but it's not a percentage gain it's a flat gain making the gain have diminishing returns. Thankfully he only targets the worst scum, demons in human bodies.
Dante - Quirk: Devil May cry, Dante's quirk is quite the stylish one. Maybe not flashy itself, but it lets him be so. Dante is able to increase either his strength, speed, durability or senses to ridiculous degrees. But only one of those four at a time, he can switch pretty quick though if needed. He can access all of his boosts at once by transforming into a Demon like being he refers to as his "Devil Trigger", in this state he's immensely powerful but the state only lasts five minutes and he needs to wait an hour before accessing it again.
Hercules - Quirk: Herculean, probably the simplest quirk here. It makes Hercules an immense physical powerhouse. The downsides are that compared to other powers it's very easy to drain his strength through outside means, and his own clumsiness and the fact that he's still learning to use his strength can cause quite a few--Problems.
Broly - Quirk: Full Power, Broly's heart acts as a generator of energy. This energy is unlike anything else and has immense destructive properties. It generates passively as he fights, making him stronger and stronger. But intense emotions cause it to generate even faster, to a dangerous degree(Both to him and the area around him). He is able to fire off blasts of this energy as well, but sometimes uncontrollably. He has three "break points" in his energy generation, if he reaches these break points his physical abilities and energy generation skyrocket and his body transforms. He's a danger to everyone and everything, most of all, himself.
Zamasu - Quirk: Divinity, Zamasu is able to manipulate his soul and it's energy, to such a degree he can make blades of soul power to carve those he views as lowly and deserving of eradication. But it's true ultimate power is the ability to split his soul into pieces, using these pieces he can possess others, taking control of them. Not direct control but the possessed will act as if he is also Zamasu. It also enhances certain types of quirks, the change is quite obvious. And when his soul is split, he is functionally immortal. You have to destroy every piece not connected to his body to properly kill him.
Goku Black - Quirk: Super, This was the quirk of the being whose body is now taken over by Zamasu. The user is able to transform, their hair spiking up and giving them physical abilities 50 times greater than before, alongside energy generation. With Zamasu's soul in Goku Black's body, this amplification is well over a hundred times, and changed the colour of what the users hair goes when they activate their quirk. From yellow to pink.
Kenshiro - Quirk: Fist of the North Star, this quirk allows Kenshiro to send shocks of internal energy through his opponent. Normally this would just make a small tap have the same pain as being shot, quite useful. But combined with Kenshiro's martial arts aptitude and knowledge of pressure points, it allows him to affect his opponent in various ways. From in fact healing them, to making their blood pressure rush so high that their upper body explodes. He rarely goes that far, but only because he rarely feels he needs to. Of course if the enemy's body is odd or mutated his ability to hit pressure points is limited, in fact foes with high enough physical strength can hold back even the most dire effects of his quirk.
Godzilla - He's canon
Jotaro Kujo - Quirk: Star Platinum, this quirk allows the user to call upon a manifestation of your fighting spirit. This spirit is Jotaro's main form of offense and defense, while it looks like a separate being, Star Platinum acts on Jotaro's will and wants. In terms of physical strength and speed, Star Platinum is one of the strongest of this subset of quirks called Stands. There's something hidden deep inside Star Platinum's power, but it may need another of similar power to awaken it. The biggest weakness is that Jotaro himself is not any more stronger than a normal human, and can feel a portion of the pain delivered onto his Stand.
Thor - Quirk: God of Thunder, among all the quirks that deal with Lightning and Thunder, Thor's is the strongest in the world. He once called a lightning bolt down that was so strong it caused a quarter mile crater in Norway, which is now a tourist destination. He has the strength of Thunder as well, so even if in an area where he cannot unleash his lightning he is still probably the biggest threat to any villain there. In his younger days he needed a conduit for his lightning and it's raw power. Odin commissioned a piece of gear that would not only be able to direct his lightning, but be able to withstand his physical blows. Even after he learned to control both his lightning and his strength, he still uses Mjolnir to great effect.
Jetstream Sam - Quirk: Jetstream, Sam's is a quirk that requires a secondary item. In his case a sword, his own a very special one that helps him deal with those with tougher skin than most. Sam is able to "charge" his blade with a mysterious red energy. When fully charged, he can use this energy to amplify the cutting power of a single slash a thousand fold. He once cut a tank in half with his quirk, it's that good.
Little Mac - Quirk: Punch-out, this quirk is a strong one with a big drawback. When at least one foot is on the ground, Mac's physical abilities and senses are enhanced to superhuman levels, especially the power of his punches. Which compliments his boxing fighting style very well. But of course the big weakness is if Mac's feet are both off the ground he is as strong as any boxer who trains like him would be. Which is far from enough in the hero world.
Luffy - Quirk: Stretch, this quirk is a mutation type, Luffy's body has the quality of rubber. Which doesn't sound very impressive but Luffy's training and instincts have allowed him to become very strong with his quirk very quickly. He's even evolved it, being able to harden parts of his body to deliver much more powerful blows. The hardening process is like vulcanization with how his body looks after. It does limit his stretching ability but he is able to hit harder and take harder hits. He even has several advanced forms. One is focused on speed and attack power. The other is focused on strength and single blows. The last is the strongest but he hasn't needed to pull it out yet. A big weakness is that he is not immune to piercing weapons like he is blunt force. Cold and heat can also mess him up more than the average person, but if he hardens he gets less vulnerable to heat, but more to cold.
Rob Lucci - Quirk: Spots, this quirk allows Lucci to transform into a massive Leopard-human hybrid, or just a Leopard. The hybrid state increases his strength and durability many times fold and aids in his use of Rokushiki(Martial arts that are like 7 mini-quirks), it also increases his speed, not as much as his other abilities but still noticeably especially with how big he becomes. It also gives him animal senses and instincts. But only a handful of people still alive know about his quirk, as his pre-transformation physical abilities coupled with being a master of Rokushiki are generally more than enough.
Alex Mercer - Quirk: Blacklight, This allows Alex to shift, manipulate and absorb biomass. He gets heavier the more he absorbs, but it makes him harder and harder to dent. But his offense is very nasty as well, as he is able to shift his arms into all sorts of weapons. But the more he gets hit the more biomass he loses. He prefers to get his from eating lots and lots of meat. But the best way, when he's not opposed to it(So against a villain or their minions), is to absorb a living person. By devouring them he not only gets biomass but their skills and abilities. But any quirk he gets only lasts a few days.
Leonardo - Quirk: TMNT, A quirk he shares with his brothers. It gives him the physical appearance and some abilities as a turtle. But given that he's not slow like one he is able to use enhanced strength and incredible defense in tandem with Ninja training from his Adopted father Hayato Yoshi to great effect as a hero in a half shell.
Thrall - Quirk: Shaman, this quirk is half mutation. Thrall's body is massive and muscular, but mostly green and like an Orc. But the true nature of his quirk well, has to do with nature. Thrall is able to communicate with the elements. Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and sometimes even Spirit. Through communicating with them he can not only get a lay of the land, but he can also control these elements if they allow him to. This has many and varied uses. More than can be listed here. But the elements don't always listen and if Thrall's emotional state becomes that bad, he may lose connection with them temporarily. The Doomhammer is a great conduit but was not made to be so, it was passed down to him by a Villain who before his last breath wanted something he made to finally do some right.
Domon Kasshu - Quirk: King of Hearts, this quirk allows Domon to turn his hot-bloodedness into power. He is able to generate enough power to even fire a blast of energy. But if he's downtrodden his quirk is obviously much less effecctive.
Simon Jiha - Quirk: FIGHT THE POWER, this allows Simon to weaponize his willpower in various ways, with near infinite growth. This power has near infinite potential. Some have even theorized that if he's able to generate continually for long enough that he'll be able to alter reality itself.
Hellboy - Quirk: Red right hand, It is a mutation quirk making him much stronger and durable than the normal human or even the normal hero. This quirk has gotten Hellboy some discrimination for how he looks. But he still works his hero work and helps whoever needs it. His right hand especially is good at opening the way. It has given him some bad dreams...
Invincible - Quirk: Invincible, a pretty standard quirk. The combination of flight and super strength/durability lets Invincible be a standard but incredibly effective hero. While his senses are heightened, they aren't anywhere near super and in fact, sounds that are too loud can incapacitate him or at the very least mess up his balance if he's not prepared.

and the whole plot of BBTAG relied around multi colored gems right?
(no image sorry)
well my dumb brain decided to go “LETS MAKE A BBTAG INFINITY GAUNTLET!”
As many know, the Infinity Gauntlet is an all powerful artifact from the Marvel comics universe made by Thanos, one of the biggest bads in that series, and lets one control various universal forces. BUT, it only works in the universe the stones come from (I’m ignoring that since the Phantom Field in BBTAG is in a way just a fusion of all the worlds anyways)
Each keystone for each world acts as one the the 6 Infinity Stones: Space, Reality, Power, Mind, Soul, and Time.
This is going off of my headcanon that the 6th Fate is gonna be the Fist of the North Star Game, I will revise this idea once the truth is revealed.
1. Blazblue
I had 2 ideas for which Stone Blazblue would have: Reality or Time.
Reality, since one of the big things in this world is that reality itself seems to change based on how one Observes things.
and Time, b/c A. one of the big things going on in that series is Time Loops and alternate Timelines, and the 3 Sankishin (The Master Unit, Susano’o Unit, and Tsukuyomi Unit)  are supposed to Govern, Cut and Protect Time respectively. Also if Ragna gets this stone than we can have another character voiced by Patrick Seitz with a Time Stop Power (yes that was a Jojo reference)
so Time is the preferred one but I’ll keep Reality on the side in case another world is better for time.
2. Persona
This one is a no-brainer, the Mind stone.
Considering entering worlds based on the collective unconscious and summoning/fighting creatures based off of Jungian psychology, I THINK mind kinda fits.
Plus the mind stone in the current Marvel Uiiverse is yellow, P4′s main color, so that’s kinda funny.
3. Under Night In-Birth
honestly I can’t think of which one for this so we’ll need to come back to it later.
4. RWBY
I went with the Soul Stone mostly just because the main power set from Remnant involves the soul, their aura/semblances. Kind of a lame excuse but I’m sticking with it. Not really sure how the others stones would match to RWBY so we’ll stick with this for the time being.
5. Arcana Heart
same deal as UNI, moving on.
6. Fist of the North Star
(yes Arc Sys DID make a FotNS game, and it’s th eonly game I can find hat matches the light blue of the gem w/o seemingly too obscure)
This one is the Power Stone, which amplifies ones abilities to superhuman levels and beyond, which IMO fits quite nicely to a martial arts anime......which mostly involves Kenshiro killing everyone by poking them.
SO in the end we’ve only got the Space and Reality Stone left with Under Night In-Birth and Arcana Heart. Which of those two should get which stone? Do you think my choices we’re good, or do they need to change? Is this a dumb idea? Yes, but I did it anyways.
Lemme know what u guys think

Ultra-violent post-apocalyptic anime 'Fist of the North Star' becoming a stage musical in Tokyo
TOKYO
What comes to mind when you think of a stage musical? Maybe a bunch of cats, singing about things they remember or some guy with half a mask and a way too possessive crush on a girl?Well how about a bunch of muscle-bound martial artists punching each other until somebody’s head explodes?
Kanata Irei and Rio Uehara will alternate as Rei and Juza...
.and Kazuki Kato and Ryunosuke Onoda double cast as Toki, the only one of Kenshiro’s brothers without an unquenchable lust for power.

Golden Kamuy Question Box
Young Jump is accepting questions sent from fans for Noda Satoru to answer. They’ve been posting answers once a day on the official Golden Kamuy twitter. I’ve gathered and translated all the Q&As so far and will continuously update as new answers are posted.
All question numbers link to the original source. These usually contain screenshots pertaining to the manga scene in question and might be helpful in providing context to the questions.
Questions for Volumes 1 - 4
Q001. The greatest mystery in Golden Kamuy is the truth behind the missing gold. Has sensei already decided in his head what it is? Or is it only temporarily decided and something that might change depending on story developments?
Of course I’ve decided on it. If the story continues as planned, it’ll remain unchanged.
Q002. When did Sugimoto get the scars on his face? In the scene where he’s facing the battlefield in volume 4, he already has them…I really want to know!
I think it happened early in the war. The first division fought for 3 months at 203 Hill then went to Mukden in the winter. According to the clothes worn in the volume 4 flashback, they are heading to Mukden.
Q003. I’m currently enjoying the tankoubon releases. I work as a librarian and I’m always impressed with the abundance of references listed at the end of each volume. How do you search for and gather your literature and sources?
I learn from authentic Ainu sources. Even with famous fictional works featuring Ainu, professors will warn, “There are a lot of inaccurate details, so you must be careful”. Because of that, I try not to read creative works. I buy recommended materials and if those materials have references or works cited listed, I buy those too.
Q004. If Shiraishi were to grow his hair out, would it be straight or curly?
It would be lightly wavy.
Q005. Out of all the foods you ate for the sake of researching Golden Kamuy, which was the most delicious that you’d like to eat again?
Raw liver. It’s possible to catch hepatitis from it though, so I really shouldn’t eat it. Recently, hunter Kubo Toshiharu was on an NHK documentary where he cut out a deer’s liver and suddenly said, quite erotically, “You’re a delicious deer”, but I think the scene where the liver was eaten was cut. That kind of liver can only be eaten on the spot. If you’d like to eat it, then you’d have to become a hunter.
Q006. How does First Lt. Tsurumi protect his forehead while bathing? Does he use a bath bucket? Please explain.
I think that his brain isn’t really exposed. It’s covered with skin to some extent. But fluids leak when it’s rubbed or if he gets excited. He takes his head plate into the bath with him. The inside of it is probably caked with fluid. I wonder if he plays with it while it floats around.
Q007. I’m planning a trip to Hokkaido this summer. Can Noda sensei share with us a location that most strongly represents the time period Asirpa and Sugimoto lived? It doesn’t have to be a tourist spot. I want to experience the casual world of Golden Kamuy. Thank you.
The Historical Village of Hokkaido.
Q008. Is Kouhei or Youhei the oldest of the Nikaidou brothers?
Kouhei was born a bit earlier.
Q009. Are Shiraishi and Sugimoto’s socks that got mixed up in volume 1 still mixed up?
Even now they’re still mixed up.
Q010. Please tell me Tanigaki nispa’s chest measurement. I want to hug it and sleep on it.
It would be about the same as Jason Statham’s. [Note: Google says this is 48 inches.]
Q011. Is it true that you had sexual relations with Mr. Okuma Hakkou, your managing editor?
Where the hell did you hear a rumor like that? We didn’t.
Q012. I want to be a father like Nihei. I want to become a father who talks about boners properly. And I want to explain to my son the importance of boners. However my appearance and my voice are not rough enough. How can I become that kind of a brilliant man?
I too wished I could’ve been born a man as sexy as Murofushi Koji. But we have to work with the cards that life dealt us.
Q013. In volume 4, chapter 34, Hijikata goes to the bank to retrieve Izumi no Kami Kanesada [his sword], but why was it being kept at the Hokkaido bank? I’ve heard pretty often that it was sent to his brother-in-law in Hino during the Battle of Hakodate.
There are also theories that he had multiple Kanesada with small differences between them.
Q014. What is the difference when Shiraishi’s name is spelled out in kanji versus when it’s spelled out in katakana?
There’s no particular reason. When there’s already a lot of katakana in a word bubble, I’ll spell Shiraishi out in kanji. It just depends on my mood at the time.
Q015. Since it seems like you collect a lot of research, have you ever ran into any fans while visiting places for research, such as museums, etc.?
Not at all. It’s because I gather everything in secret. I’m thankful to the many museum curators I’ve interviewed who’ve read my works. I received a letter from Kushiro City Museum before going there to conduct research. It also seems like the people at Abashiri Prison wanted to provide support since my previous work, “Supindarama!”.
Questions for Volumes 5 - 8
Q016. When did Sugimoto get that scarf he wears? Is his scarf still okay after it was cut apart by that yakuza boss?
He got it when he went to Otaru. Since there were many foreigners in Otaru, I think it’d be easy to obtain foreign-made goods. After his scarf got cut, he kept it in his pocket then he’d have to sew it up later, right? Like how Kenshiro [from Fist of the North Star] would have to sew up his red shirt every time it got torn, too.
Q017. Shiraishi says [to Ienaga] that he’ll “keep her company, passionately and whole-heartedly”. Are there other women in the past that Shiraishi has kept company with?
There are not. It’s because he spent such a long part of his adolescence in prison. He’s a man who’s only had sex with sex workers. He’s had some favorites among prostitutes, though.
Q018. Why did Ogata grow his hair out after being hospitalized and become the most devastatingly sexy private first-class?
Because he felt liberated.
Q019. Why are peaches Ushiyama’s favorite food? Is it because he also likes butts?
Yes.
Q020. Is the “Kano” part of Ienaga Kano her real name? Or is it a pseudonym?
It’s a fake name, her real name is Chikanobu.
Q021. Cosplay is one of my hobbies, and I thought this time I’d like to cosplay Kiroranke. But I’m having trouble understanding something about his hair. How in the world can you achieve that kind of a haircut?
His hair is cropped short to around the ear or the whorl of his head. I referenced this hairstyle from old photos of Karafuto Ainu men of that time period.
Q022. Who shot Captain Wada? I’m so curious that I can’t sleep at night.
It was Tsukishima.
Q023. Why is Egodai not wearing any shoes on the volume 8 back cover illustration?
To foreshadow his death.
Q024. Does Edogai’s house not have a bath? Since Sgt. Tsukishima went to a public bathhouse, I’m guessing there’s no bathtub, but it’s hard to imagine Edogai also going to a public bathhouse. Back in those days, baths in residential homes didn’t seem to be popular yet, so this must be the case.
Edogai doesn’t have a bathtub. He’d be able to hide it with a towel, though, wouldn’t he? Yubari also had hot springs along with bathhouses. He’d go somewhere where there’s not a lot of people. A while back, I also went to bathhouses, but I’d go 30 minutes before closing. There weren’t any people around during that time. It’s not that I didn’t want people to see my dick, but it’s because seeing the dicks of random men I don’t even know makes me feel ill.
Q025. Please tell us the sex, age, and name of the cat with the center part fur pattern in Edogai’s house! I want to know more about that adorably ugly cat. Thank you.
He’s a male. Since he’s just a stray that wandered into Edogai’s house, his age is unknown. I think Edogai would’ve just called him “kitty”. When I was younger, we kept a cat at my parent’s house, and no one in our family could decide on a name, so we just called it “kitty”.
Q026. I have one question that’s been troubling me lately, it’s about my favorite, Sergeant Tsukishima, and I’d like to ask about it. Since I’ve learned that Tsukishima enjoys taking long baths, about how long are they? Maybe you could share with us any particular stories regarding Tsukishima’s long baths.
After leaving the 7th Division’s barracks in Asahikawa and mobilizing in Otaru with First Lieutenant Tsurumi’s group, bathing times were no longer tightly controlled, so it’s possible that Tsukishima just wound up taking longer baths as a result. It’s also possible that since Ogata doesn’t like soaking in hot water for a long time, that he finds the amount of time Tsukishima takes in the bath to be excessive.
Q027. Ogata’s hair grows so quickly. Why is this?
It’s because the author’s hair also grows fast. I don’t find the detail to be odd myself. Some things that seem ordinary to the author can seem strange to the readers, huh? In “Hana no Keiji”, Keiji scrubs his dick after he pees and I guess that’s just something normal to Hara sensei (the author).
Thus concludes all the questions so far! The official Twitter states their next Q&A Box will cover volumes 9 to the current issues.

A Theory About Taiyang Xiao Long
Now, while most theories covering this man stem around what exactly happened between him and Raven, him and Summer and how he handled the whole team breaking up, for this one I want to take a different perspective all together and focus on something completely different.
By that, I mean his semblance and weapons.
The weapons portion of this is going to be very short compared to what I’m about to get into, but I think in general it will all come together and make some sort of sense to you readers hopefully.
I’m going to start off with his semblance because that’s the real juicy stuff behind this post, and in order to properly explain, we’re going to need to go all the way back to the far away times of the 1980′s and take a look at pop culture and most importantly, manga.
The 1980′s were filled will action movies and stars, with actors like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mr. T dominating the big screen and television in movies such as Rocky franchise, Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, The A-Team and so on and so forth. Now, while all these movies/shows don’t exactly relate to one another besides the action part, it’s very important to note that all three men were FUCKING SHREDDED.
Tumblr media
They were built big and jacked thanks to all those steroids they were pumping into their body, but hey, that’s what was in for action stars at the time.
Now, with that let’s travel to the East and take a look at Japan and manga at the time. We’re going to focus on one particular manga and series that came out around this time. You might’ve heard of it actually.
The series I’m talking about is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
Before we go on, I’ll let everyone make their “Is that a JoJo reference?!” jokes and call me out on whatever. Done? Good.
The first two parts of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is what I want to focus on, but mainly Part 1: Phantom Blood. For those that don’t know the series, it’s a little hard to explain, but I’ll do my best. In Part 1, the story follows Jonathan Joestar and his adopted step brother, Dio Brando. The two have a pretty rocky relationship to say the least, and after a while Dio gets caught trying to kill Jonathan’s father to try and get his money. He gets caught, but he discovers a stone mask that can turn people into vampires beforehand. He throws away his humanity, becomes a vampire, and Jonathan, his friend Robert E.O. Speedwagon and mentor William Zeppeli have to go kill Dio and destroy the stone mask. Simple right? (It gets a lot worst once you start heading into the later parts)
One of the biggest inspirations behind Jonathan Joestar’s design was not only the action stars of the time, but also another popular manga at the time, Fist of the North Star and the main character Kenshiro. Hirohiko Araki (the creator of JoJo) is a HUGE pop culture nerd, whether it be Japanese or American. JoJo is littered with music references and movie references, so really it makes sense as to why Kenshiro and Jonathan would be so similar.
Tumblr media
Literally the best pic I could find of the two of them that my computer would let me save
Aside from the looks, their signature moves are also VERY similar as well. Those moves being the infamous ATATATATATATA and Sunlight Yellow Overdrive. For comparison, here’s what they look like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
See the similarities? Cool. Anyways, while Kenshiro uses the fighting stye of Hokuto Shinken, Jonathan has a special fighting style of his own up his sleeve. Taught to him by his mentor Zeppeli, it’s an ancient form of fighting used to fight vampires called Hamon.
Tumblr media
The entire basis of Hamon revolves around a person’s breathing, as in order to really successfully use it one must be able to control their emotions and their breathing to the fullest extent. Once they do that, they can do all sorts of crazy things like walk on water, extend an arm farther than possible to get a hit, manipulate objects and such and so on and so forth. Hamon was the fighting system used by the Joestar’s in Part 1 and 2, and it does make a couple appearances in Part 3 as well, but of course the focus is on Stands. In order to beat Dio, Jonathan had to learn to control his anger toward his step brother and in turn his breathing. Once he did that, he was able to do cool things with Hamon like Sunlight Yellow Overdrive. Plus, you also get shrouded in this cool yellow light that just looks awesome
Now, why am I bringing this all up? Why is this all important to Tai?
Because I think his semblance is similar to that of Hamon.
Now, let’s take a look at Tai for a quick second, just at himself and his body type and such.
Tumblr media
Now, this is during one of his less finer moments to say the least, but take a look at his body. It’s not overly exaggerated like Kenshiro and Jonathan, but one can make the argument that his body build is somewhat similar to the two of them. He’s fairly big, very muscular and so on. All in all, he’s in very good shape and looks like a force to be reckon with.
Outside of that, lets also talk about his knowledge of combat. When he trains Yang, we can see that he knows his martial arts and packs a pretty hard punch too. In his line of work, I’m fairly confident that he’s talented with his fists. If he was able to teach Yang how to fight and reinvent her style when she got her arm as well, we can put out there that he’s a martial arts whiz.
With all that being said, let’s focus on part of Tai’s teaching’s to Yang. While he trains her in Volume 4, he teaches her that she needs to be able to control her anger and semblance in combat, because she can’t always rely on that. It’s a very important lesson Yang has to learn from this point on, and whether or not she has is yet to be seen. I believe that Tai is teaching Yang this because he himself went through a very similar dilemma. Considering everything that’s happened to him, Tai has a right to be angry, yet when he talks about Raven to her he doesn’t act angry at all. In fact, he’s fairly calm about it. His anger is in control, something that Yang’s isn’t at the moment.
There are many techniques that can be used to help teach one to control their anger, and one of these techniques is simply breathing. Taking a few deep breaths can really calm someone down and put them in control of their emotions, and that ties all the way back to Hamon.
Jonathan is angry at Dio, and in order to defeat him he needs to control that anger so he can properly use Hamon, something Zeppeli tells him in their training. Now, the energy of Hamon is identical to the energy of the Sun, which is why it works against vampires and in order to not get your ass sued Tai’s semblance couldn’t be that. So what could be a good substitution for the Sun’s energy when describing his semblance?
Aura
Aura for the longest time has been used as just a means of defense like a force field, but I believe that Tai’s semblance is the ability to control his aura and use it in a similar way to Hamon. It’s a stretch because of how aura is described, but in all reality aura kinda isn’t really developed the best, and I feel as though something like this could be used in the laws of the show if developed further that what I think.
Very often Yang is described as burning hot like the sun. Hell, Tai even calls her his “Sunny Little Dragon,” and with aura being a manifestation of the soul of the person, I think it’s fair to say that Yang’s aura and Tai’s burns like the sun as well considering their personalities. Combine that with Tai’s ability to control his aura, and you could have some pretty devastating attacks.
So here’s what I think Tai knows: I think Tai knows martial arts that he can combine with his semblance to make a form of fighting similar to Hamon. He controls his semblance through breathing techniques that allow him to use it to it’s highest capabilities, and because of his aura when he uses his semblance he can add a little extra flare to those punches/kicks (not literally engulf his body in flames).
It’s not too much of a stretch to see it in my opinion, as the CRWBY are huge anime fans in general. The show itself borrows from many different places across pop culture, whether it be K-Pop or video games. Why wouldn’t they reference one of the biggest manga’s of all time while they’re at it?
To finish off, I’m just going to say his weapon is something along the lines of brass knuckles with parts of the knuckles being able to shoot some bullets out or something (kinda like Doomfist I guess). I couldn’t think of something much better so that’s about it.
Anyways, my belief is that Taiyang is based off people like Jonathan and Kenshiro and have a semblance similar to their fighting styles and such. It’s not an iron clad theory and does have its holes, but I think it’s a pretty good one nonetheless! Thanks for reading and here’s to hoping it comes true!

I'm not really much of an artist but a friend got me interested in drawing again! She had done a few pics of her OC with Edward so I wanted to try doing something for her and this took me a lot longer than I expected since it's been years since I've sat down and tried drawing anything. Funny thing about this pic was it was based off of Kenshiro's punching attack from the original Fist of the North Star, but everyone kept making jojo references and of course I had to look it up. Thanks again to @shyarmorx for motivation and advice!

hi! i am another anon liking the movie. i kept forgetting to send you things. work has been harsh lately.
Thank you!! I hope things go smoothly for you at work! I guess I’ll spill more beans about the movie, ahaha.
Let’s talk references! I crammed a good bit of them in the movie, more than I usually do with my plots. I want to do the body swap plot first, but Yuna is on vacation with Emiri and I don’t want to get in the way of that RIP me. Maybe I should do an ‘episode preview’. I might do it in script format just because of the way episode previews work in Sentai.
Anyways, the first reference is actually in the title! It’s a sort-of-reference to Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans (サイヤ人絶滅計画), an RPG on the Famicom that was later adapted into an OVA. At the time of writing I thought it was “Great Saiyan Eradication Plan” for some reason, but I didn’t even bother to double check. Whoops. Let’s just say it was a stylistic choice! Yeah!!
The first actual reference is the running gag in the opening scene of nobody being able to get Bootleg Lizard’s name right, repeatedly mistaking him for other famous lizard-like monsters. In order, they are Godzilla, Jirass, Gomess, and Red King. I decided to use two Ultraman kaiju who were made from old Godzilla suits, and one Godzilla-like kaiju from the same franchise. Here’s some fun trivia for you:
Jirass (ジラース )was made with what is referred to as MosuGoji (the suit used in Mothra vs Godzilla and Ghidorah the Three-headed Monster) and the head of DaisensoGoji (suit used in Invasion of Astro Monster and Ebirah, Horror from the Deep).
Similarly, Gomess (ゴメス ) was also created from a Godzilla suit, though which one it was is disputed. Another fun fact: Gomess is the first Ultra kaiju to ever appear on screen! He appeared in episode 1 of Ultra Q, the science fiction show that preceded Ultraman.
Ikura interrupting the attack in the style she did was a reference to the 1986-1987 anime, Machine Robo: Revenge of Chronos (マシンロボ クロノスの大逆襲). I’d describe it as Fist of the North Star, but with mecha. The protagonist, Rom Stol (basically an android Kenshiro) would often dramatically stop scenes by crying out “WAIT!!!” and then making a heroic speech before proceeding to kick ass. The theme I used was what would play when he showed up.
Anyways, I’ve unpacked the first scene so I think I’ll stop there. I’ve got other asks to get to, ehe.
