This year's Johnica Week will start on Thursday 18th January and end on Sunday 21st January! For the first time the event will START on their wedding anniversary and continue throughout the weekend 🥰 But as always, don't worry if you're late! You can keep sending your contributions after the last day, these are simply indicative days to gather all together 💕

The Theme 🎁
The 49th Wedding Anniversary comes soon before the huge milestone of the 50 years together, and it's usually represented by various symbols that I added to the prompts: Zircon, Orchids, the color Purple, and luxurious gifts. The main theme of this year's event is GIFTS, the act of giving the partner something material or abstract as an act of selflessness, that can have various meanings and various reactions.
Like all the prompts, it’s up to you to follow the theme or not, consider it just as a general theme that you could build your entries around. I chose some prompts that might fit this theme, that are about gifts as physical objects or as ideas for situations or alternative worldbuildings.

Celebration: Luxury the 49th wedding anniversary is the step right before the big 50, also known as the Golden wedding. All the symbols represent the wealth of experience a couple has after being married for nearly five decades. Two people who are willing to work together and compromise and do all the things that make a marriage successful deserve to celebrate with a bit of Luxury.

Apparently it’s going to be an April launch so the late Queen’s birthday, Louis’s birthday, the anniversary of Philip’s death, Charles & Camilla’s 19th wedding anniversary or William & Catherine’s 13th wedding anniversary are all dates that can be grabbed

My sense is also that Kate's attendance won't be confirmed until the day of and only when the carriages roll out/the family appears on the balcony. (If Kate has done a couple of engagements before then, she'll probably be in the carriage procession but if she hasn't, she'll probably just do the second balcony appearance for the flypast like when they used to bring the children out.)

Is anniversary yay!!!
Today is the 24th anniversary of our first date and Monday will be the 21st anniversary of getting married, so it's Anniversary Week!
We're getting packed and ready to go to Gatlinburg later today. We got married there in 2002, 21 years ago, when we were 21. So we're going back now 21 years later. :)

sky lady late night rambles 🌙🥰
stayed up too late working on a crochet order for my small business
(Yes, I finally did it ! just starting out)
& at the same time, I was also on the phone with my boyfriend (he was telling me gossip from trivia night & funny stories about friends)
so we both got off the phone quickly because I didn't realize what time it was & I think he said real fast "go, go to sleeps, night night, love you, goodnight" so I said it back "ok, talk to you tomorrow, love you goodnight"
then the phone call cut off, so I wasn't sure if he heard me 😬 I was so scared !
but he did ! he heard me & texted me right after "love you too" 🥰
It made me so giggly & happy right before bed.
I'm so glad we finally feel comfortable saying it to each other & now he's been saying it more often without being afraid to express his feelings. 💐❤️
over the weekend, we were talking & he was holding me after I was confiding in him about struggling a bit & he just said "I love you, everything is ok, I'm sorry I didn't say it when I should have."
It meant so much because I was so worried he didn't feel the same. That was my biggest wish for him to love me back.
Sat will be our 1 year anniversary. 💌
I can't believe we've seen 4 seasons together, shared so many special moments & made a lot of loving memories.
June 2022, he was just "baseball guy ⚾️" here on the blog ! I saw him for the first time & didn't even know his name.
Dec 2022, he was "grumpy bb", & at first I thought that he couldn't stand me at all !
Jan 20th 2023, with a funny nudge from my best friend AR, we talked for the first time & hit it off immediately.
Jan 21st 2023, my phone broke & I had no way of contacting him. we were supposed to hang out on this day, so I went to the bar in person to wait for him. our best friend, "JJ"wrote his number down on my receipt for me, which I still have & carry with me in my purse wherever I go. The entire thing is faded except for his number & the date on the bottom.
Jan 29th 2023, we went for a walk in the cold winter & bonded over loving the movie "March of the Wooden Soldiers". We shared our first kiss, & my silly friends witnessed the whole thing. It was hysterical & wonderful at the same time.
Feb 2023, I gave him a special keychain of a plane that has meaning for us. Months later, he gave me a little blue pin with a plane on it, too.
Fast Forward >>> to Now 💫
We're pretty much inseparable. Sure, we've had our ups & downs, stupid fights & misunderstandings. No one said this would be easy or perfect. But I feel like we are it for each other & I wouldn't have it any other way.
Jan 2024, he's my best friend, the love of my life. I feel like the universe led us to one another when we needed each other more than ever.

Oh how I have missed the 18th century. Fantastic day spent at Fort Lee this weekend for the 247th anniversary. Wish the unit was staying for Sunday but better one day than none I suppose… finished off at the Old ‘76 house for drinks because a tavern isn’t a tavern if it isn’t full of redcoats. I am now readjusting to 21st century mode, much to my dismay

Felicity took a trip to Boston with me this past weekend. We visited the USS Constitution on Saturday, which happened to be the 225th anniversary of the launching of the ship. (October 21st, 1797). (Excuse her hair, I didn't pack her a hairbrush!)
The weather was nice and cool, without being cold.
We got to explore the top two decks, which included a number of cannons.
Felicity enjoyed the museum, which had numerous hands-on exhibits as well as lots of information!
Overall, Felicity decided she'd rather be a merchant than a sailor, but it was fun to pretend for a day!

It's the way the more I think about this weekend the more enraged I feel. As if her pointing at him and making endgame about him wasn't bad enough she decides to change a freaking lyric and have bracelets changing colors. Mind you the og lyric could have fit him too. She made a point to change it knowing fully well what kind of media it was going to get. Also can we realize if it wasn't for the weather this was going to happen on Reputation's anniversary? Like that sink in and you realize the kind of person she is. If you're not her, you're against her. I'm just apalled seeing all of this happening. I think I liked a version of her that doesn't exist because she just molds herself depending on who she's with. And she loves the idea of love and the version she creates of the people she's with but in the end not so much the person itself
she creates such shitshows on some significant dates like september 28th, rep anniversary etc etc. i wonder what she's gonna do on february 21st 💀

AITAH for shouting at my sister while she’s on her deathbed?
My (26f) sister Nancy (39f) and I have had a strained relationship for as long as I can remember. For a bit of background, Nancy’s parents were my late aunt and uncle, who passed away in a car accident when she was 6 and my parents adopted her. Growing up, I realized that she got more love and care than I did, but I just wrote it off because I didn’t want to blame her for her trauma or how she handles triggers.
When I was a teen, I got tired of her always needing to trump my accomplishments or be the centre of attention. I finished high school when I was 16 and after I received my matric results, my parents planned a big party for me but the week before, Nancy “fell” down a flight of stairs and my party had to be cancelled. As I was sitting in the waiting room with my parents, I had an epiphany and realized that a lot of her “accidents” coincidentally happened when something big was planned for me.
For example, a month before my 21st birthday, which was going to be spent on a cruise, she started having “dizzy spells” and a few days before, she “fell” off the roof as she was trying to “patch a few leaks”. Rightfully, I was upset, and my parents lashed out at me for being selfish when my sister got injured trying to do something to help them.
When I graduated with my MBA at 22, she very sick after eating shellfish, which everyone knows she is deathly allergic to.
The day after my partner proposed, she got into an “accident” while driving on a sunny day with great road conditions, saying that she didn’t see a light pole or something. He threw me a surprise engagement party and guess who accidentally ate prawns and was rushed to the hospital halfway through the party?
To avoid any drama at my wedding, my partner and I decided to elope with a few friends, and it was the first time something was all about me, for once. My parents were bitter about not being part of wedding celebrations so we planned a reception type thing for friends and family on our 2nd anniversary. My dad will walk me down the aisle and my mom will do the something old thing, etc. They had been buzzing with excitement and looking forward to the “wedding”. The event is this coming weekend and guests have already started flying in as they want to celebrate the whole week and treat it as a reunion of sorts.
But like every other big moment of my life, I am writing this post sitting in the hospital waiting room because Nancy apparently had a big psychotic break because her boyfriend dumped her in FEBRUARY so there’s a psychiatrist admitting her for 21 days as he believes she’s a danger to herself. My parents are trying to talk me into postponing because it would be heartless of me to celebrate while my sister is “cuffed to a bed” for the next 3 weeks.
I had a meltdown of my own and told my sister that if she wanted to go to Heaven that desperately, could she not have done it when we were younger so I could be spared from all her drama and now there’s a handful of family members who are calling me a cruel bridezilla for taking my stress out on my sister when she’s so unwell.
I told all of them that I would be proceeding with the “wedding” as a lot of time and money had already gone into it and they’re welcome to mope around the hospital to support my sister. They told me that I was unfair for making them have to choose between a party and my sister who is on her deathbed.
ETA: I know she isn’t in her deathbed. Any sane person reading this post knows so she’s not on her deathbed. But to my family, this is a life or death situation because “only God knows what they’ll do to her in there” and they’re especially incensed by the very limited visitation because they’re convinced the psychiatrist is doing it so she can get pumped full of medication and so the hospital can make money yada yada yada.

I got sucked into the nonstop scrolling on Tik Tok. Towards the end I really forgot for a second that I’m still here. I guess that can happen at any place or time. Just get lost in that world and when you finally put your phone down your surroundings come back to you.
I ended on this one persons account who’s been in a locked inpatient unit for a little over 2 years in the UK. It’s weird cause thru lots of videos I learned that they have hourly checks and can have overnight passes. They do 15 min checks too and take away all your belongings if needed. But the overnight passes and hourly checks were so strange to me. It’s clearly a long term inpatient unit? Unless she’s one of the few. Just like I’m one of the few (at the moment, I know it’s not that rare) to be here this long at the “short” term unit.
I was on the 1:1 for 26 days. I came off it completely last Tuesday. It varied a lot, I think it was 24hrs for the first week and then she took of the day shift for a weekend and on Monday took off the overnight shift. Then right before my SA anniversary on the 21st she put me back on it 24hours. Took me off the overnight shift that following weekend. Then that Monday off the day shift and then the next day off the whole thing. That was a lot but in the end for those 26 days I was always on the 1:1 from 3pm-11pm.
Coming off it was weird. It was funny when I tried to ask for a pass for Easter. Like you just came off the 1:1 on Tuesday and you’re asking for a home pass this Sunday?? In rounds they told my doctor they’d be more comfortable with a pass during the week. So I asked for the Friday before and they said it’s too soon. “Let’s see how the weekend goes and maybe on Monday”.
Last weekend went fine and I got my first pass (2 hours), off this campus in 4 months, a couple days ago on Monday. Conditions being not going home, staying local. Then I got a 3 hour pass yesterday, local again. My doctor put an order in for “daily passes” and told me that I can have as many passes home as I need until I feel ready to go home.
I’ve gone on 2 passes so far without sneaking anything back in like all my other passes before. But I’m worried about home. Like I’m not worried I’m going to do anything or sneak anything back. I’m just worried I’m going to get super overwhelmed. This week has been so overwhelming and I get so much anxiety in the morning and at night. I haven’t been home since thanksgiving which I kept thinking it was 3 months ago but nope. That was 4 months ago.
It’s just crazy to me to think 2 weeks ago I was on a daily 1:1 and now I have daily passes???
I’m 90% sure I’m not going to screw this up. That I’m going to keep up with the passes and leave by the end of April or a week sooner. But a small part of me is so worried I’m going to mess this all up.

it is time! thank you to my mods for helping me plan things out. i'll be having a subathon live on twitch on saturday 20th of may to celebrate my birthday (the 21st) and twitch anniversary (the 18th). all information is in the image, including the time of the stream. for those new to subathons, it's a stream where every sub, gift sub and cheer/donation increases the amount of time i have to be live for, and as we reach more subs there are goals that i have to complete as rewards for you all. the stream will go for a max of 10 hours per day, meaning if the timer ends up at 12 hours i will stream for 10 hours one day and 2 hours the next day. the stream will start at 10am UK time and end at a max of 8pm my time.
immediately following that we'll be celebrating in my discord! watch party at 8pm UK time on sauturday may 20th (or a few minutes late depending on how slowly i end stream) i'll be streaming the proshot of the Legally Blonde musical! i recently remembered how much i love the musical and am tired of hiding it because people think it's cringe. overall the musical is just a bit of fun. note: my discord is patreon exclusive and you can join for the lowest £1 a month tier.
i hope you guys will come and celebrate with me, either in stream or the watch party of both, my throne wishlist and kofi are both open but there is no need for anyone to do anything for my birthday, i just wanted to say the option is there but please do not put yourself out. i've never really had a good birthday or a birthday where people have showed up and my birthday this year already isn't going to plan like i hoped, so i hope at the very least i can have some fun with you guys that weekend. thank you guys, because without you i wouldn't be able to keep streaming ❤️
(for those who don’t know what a subathon is, it’s twitch stream where there is a timer counting down, in this case from 6 hours, and every time someone subscribes, gifts a sub or cheers, more timer is added to the timer and i have to keep streaming until the timer reaches zero. as a community you guys can work together to hit sub totals and each time we hit a goal we unlock another activity, you can see those listed in the image)

The spousal person and I got married in Gatlinburg on September 25, 2002. We are going back there next weekend for our 21st wedding anniversary. Also the 24th anniversary of our first date on September 22, 1999, so we just celebrate Anniversary Week.
