Humza Yousaf terminating the Bute House agreement with the Scottish Greens while I’m travelling.
Cheers big man.
Part of me thinks this will actually allow the greens to be a bit more combative. I think they’ve had to toe the line a bit more so it might work out better overall.
Not sure if I agree with Humza terminating it while the Greens were scheduled to discuss and vote on whether to continue the agreement or not. Feels a bit spiteful.
The UK Deputy Prime Minister declined to condemn the Israeli occupation's killing of Palestinians and their burial in mass graves, stating that the UK expects the "democratic government of Israel to investigate any allegations of misconduct."
I don't trust Labour to effectively re-nationalise the railways, obviously, because I wouldn't trust them to find their arse with both hands and a map. However, I do enjoy the two counterpoints I saw out in front of the plan, to whit:
A) The rail industry saying it'll actually cost taxpayers more
and
B) It'll take a while for the benefits to appear for commuters.
To answer those in reverse wwwwhhhhyyyyy would it matter if it takes a while? If something is better than what something is now, it's better. Don't give a fuck if it takes time.
If you stick your hand in a toaster, oh well, if you take it out it'll take a while to stop hurting, so why bother? Are you fucking cracked?
And like, what? The guys who are making bank right now running a shitty service even deeper into the ground? We're listening to them? Why? Why would we ever do that? Do you ask the guy who's kicking you in the balls for his opinion on your balls? I think his position is pretty clear! Especially when he's been doing it for thirty fucking years!
Hey, you know what, even if they're right - and I fucking doubt it - and re-nationalisation somehow does cost the taxpayer more, at the very least the money won't be going to you, you packet of useless, rancid cunts. That's a price worth paying, I'd say.
What I absolutely love about the tories is when they bring out just all of their most horrendous ideas during election year. Are they actively trying to lose the election? Maybe they're tired of governing, and as a last bit of fun, they're killing off all the poor, disabled and sick people.
Honestly, after what sunak has been saying and how the tories are just going full mask off with their prejudice, anyone who votes for them still is suss af
