elvis was on his plane back home from a long tour, exhausted and hurting and just ready to get back to the comfort of his own home. as they began to land, jerry shook elvis gently to wake him. "elvis, we're landin' soon."
elvis let out a groan, stretching his arms to allow his bones to crack and pop in the right places. "hey, jer?" he cleared his throat, glancing over at jerry. "do you....um...think ya could stay with me for a while? i-i think-"
"need me to take care of you?" elvis nodded shyly in response, feeling the cloudiness slowly take over his brain. jerry gave him a warm smile and patted elvis's knee, "think you can make it till we get home?"
"i-i can try. my heads just...gettin all...y'know."
jerry nodded in understanding, giving his knee a gentle squeeze. "i know, prince. as soon as we get home, i promise."
elvis felt himself fully relax the moment he stepped inside his home, letting the fuzziness fully take over and feeling much smaller than usual. he brought himself right on the floor, resting his head against the wall, too tired to walk up to his bedroom. jerry looked down at him sadly, crouching down. "let's get you upstairs to sleep, yeah? sound good?" he shook his head in his response, a tired look on his face. "don't wanna sleep just yet, huh?" elvis reached up for jerry, bringing his hands up.
the problem is, jerry was also tired. he just wanted to sleep, but he wasn't going to let elvis roam free around graceland while extremely little. "you don't wanna take a small nap? maybe let jer' get some sleep too?" elvis i only let out a small whine, still begging to be picked up. "c'mon, it's been a long week. what could you possibly want to do with all that energy?"
frustrated with himself for not being able to properly communicate, he spoke in babbles and whines. jerry had yet to get used to elvis's younger headspace, his babbling consisted of mostly 'ba''s and 'mmm!'s. elvis glanced over at the kitchen then back at jerry, pulling on the leg of his pants. "ah, hungry?" jerry asked, getting a happy babble in response. he picked him up, earning a squeal from elvis, and brought him to the kitchen, setting him at the table.
he didn't feel like cooking him anything and he was far too gone to make him his usual pb&j. elvis tapped his hands patiently on the table and jerry prepared him food. he went with mashed bananas, opting with just hand-feeding him. he sat next to elvis and prayed to god he'd eat. "alright, c'mon." he brought the spoon to his lips, elvis shaking his head.
jerry let out a sigh, "here comes the airplane!" he made a flying motion with the spoon and made airplane noises as he brought it to his lips once again, only this time elvis happily taking it and giggling at the sounds jerry made.
"silly baby, aren't ya? just a silly, yittle baby." he chuckled as he continued to feed elvis.
after getting him fed, elvis only got crankier. he thrashed in jerry's hold as he carried him up the steps. "good lord, what's got you so upset today? what's goin' on?" he muttered, finally setting him down on the bed.
his eyes began to well with tears as he looked at jerry, reaching for him again. "stay!" elvis managed to blurt out. there was a look of fear in his eyes as if jerry was going to just set him down and leave. "stay! stay! stay!" he repeated over and over again.
jerry frowned at him, sitting beside elvis and rubbing his back as he immediately clung to jerry's side. "stay." he said once again.
"you thought i was gonna leave?" he said lowly. "is that what you're so upset about?"
elvis nuzzled into his neck. "mmmm." he hummed out. "stay?"
"of course, i have to get you changed though." he stood up only for elvis to cry again, stomping his feet rapidly. elvis yanked him down immediately. "honey-" he got up again. "i promise i'll be back. you have to trust me." he only cried more, wailing as jerry left the room. he didn’t understand the sudden tantrum. on the plane, he was about ready to go home and get some sleep. it had been a long week after all.
jerry returned shortly to the bedroom with a bottle in hand, greeted by elvis still crying and begging for his attention. “see, look. i came back, didn’t i?” he said to him. sometimes he just didn’t want to be left alone, especially while in his younger headspace. that doesn’t mean it doesn’t make things more difficult for jerry. “can we get you in your pajamas? then you can have your bottle and i’ll come get in bed with you. doesn’t that sound like a good idea?”
he gave him a sad look, nodding slowly, and allowed jerry to help change him into his pajamas, still sniffling. despite jerry still being there in front of him, he was still worried he’d leave him for whatever reason. he got into bed, pulling elvis into his lap as he grabbed ahold of the plushie sitting in the middle of the bed. “you want your bottle now?”
“mmm!” he got himself comfortable in his lap, pulling the covers over them both as jerry held the bottle to elvis, allowing him to drink peacefully. “you did so well holdin’ it together this week, hon. my good boy, you must be so tired.” he sighed, using the other hand to run through his hair. he smiled as elvis’s eyelashes began to flutter, the bottle slipping out of his lips as he snuggled into jerry, finally feeling comfort in his warmth and love.

TPS Part 1: Toby's Letter
Tumblr media
Ah'm a slow, 11 year old, southern boy wit a strong accent. Mah momma died when Ah was 5 so mah Pop's been raisin me by 'emself ever since. It ain't always been easy cause fer some reason Ah ain't like other boys. Sometimes shoes make mah feet hurt, a buncha people talkin makes me wanna run an hide, an if thangs jus don't go mah way Ah jus wanna cry. But today Ah'm doin well. Mah clothes feel good an nothin's too loud fer me. Even when Ah'm eatin breakfast, Ah'm feelin good. Ah see Pop comin in the kitchen with a letter.
"Son ya got a fancy letter today."
"Oh, gosh! Who'd be writin' a real fancy letter ta me? Ain't like Ah'm special. Did it say where it's from?"
"It done got sent from a fancy British wizard school, Hogwarts. Yer gonna be learnin magic."
Ah get real confused by it. We ain't in British. We're in Florida. Ah'm startin ta think this ain't real cause we don't even get mail till later in the day.
"How'd it get here?"
"Burrowin owl dropped it off by mah window."
Ah squint at Pop. Ah ain't ever seen an owl jus hang out by Pop's window let lone send 'em mail.
"Oh, yer jokin' wit me, Pop. Ain't no fancy school out there that teaches magic. Ah wanna hear ya read it ta me."
"Dear Mr. Kwimper, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July. Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress."
"Well doggone tha's a real letter. Does this Hogwarts school got a place ta stay? Ah ain't gonna be able ta sleep on no wood floors."
Ah start shakin mah head cause Ah slept on wood floors before. Mah head done hurt an Ah ain't stopped cryin till Pop picked me up an put me on his lap. He done tol me Ah's sleepwalkin so he made sure ta wrap me in a special blanket so Ah won't do that no more.
"They's got a dorm for all 'em kids. You's gotta take a special train jus fer gettin ta Hogwarts."
Ah start ta rock in mah chair cause Ah'm gettin excited.
"Wow! Do Ah gotta wear a fancy schmancy uniform, too?"
"We's gotta read the list Ms. Gonagall gave us so's we find everythin ya need son. Ah'm fixin ta make sure ya got robes that don't make ya meltdown."
Pop says meltdown an Ah 'member when he bought me clothes fer mah first day a school last year. Everythang done made mah skin itch an Pop had ta pay money fer grandmomma ta make me special clothes that don't make me cry. Her an granddaddy live in a nursin home in Orlando so we went on a big road trip ta get it. Ah ain't ever met momma's parents but Ah know the special blanket Pop wraps me in came from 'em.
"Here's the list. Gotta read it good son."
Ah start readin it an it's a real long list mah eyes start glazin over so's Ah start readin it out loud cause Ah 'member things better doin it like that.
"First-year students'll require: Three sets a plain black robes, a plain pointed black hat fer day wear, a pair a protective dragon hide gloves, an a black winter cloak wit silver fastin's. Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags."
Ah blink a couple times an look at Pop.
"Ah really gotta wear all this Pop? Ah don't wanna wear clothes that got itchy name tags cause then Ah'm gonna be cryin cause it's gonna make mah skin itch."
"Ah ain't gonna make the name tags itch, Toby. Ya ain't gotta wear it all at once. We's jus gotta make sure ya got 'em so yer ready. Don't wanna have ya goin ta a wizardin school nekked. Now keep on readin yer list."
Ah nod mah head a couple times an try findin mah spot again.
"All students should have a copy a each a the following: The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 1), A History a Magic, Magical Theory, A Beginner's Guide ta Transfiguration, One Thousand Magical Herbs an Fungi, Magical Drafts an Potions, an The Dark Forces: A Guide ta Self-Protection. Tha's a lotta books Pop. Ah dunno if Ah'm gonna be able ta read 'em all."
"We ain't gonna know what ya need 'em fer till ya get yer schedule. Jus keep goin son."
Ah start rubbin the letter again so Ah don't lose mah place.
"1 wand, 1 pewter standard size 2 cauldron, 1 set a glass or crystal vials, 1 telescope an a 1 set a brass scales. Pop wha's a vial?"
He taps his head ta think. Vial sounds like a fancy word fer somethin.
"Somethin like a bottle son. Gotta be a fancy bottle cause ya ain't gonna be jus workin wit water."
"Ah guess ya make sense Pop."
Mah finger traces over the final lines a the letter.
"Students may also bring, if they desire, an owl OR a cat OR a toad. PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICK."
Pop pats mah head an he's smilin which Ah think's a good thang. Ah think Ah also said the last part a the letter too loudly.
"So how's we gonna be payin fer this Pop. A lotta stuff we gotta get if Ah'm goin ta the wizardin school."
"Doncha worry son. Wizardin money ain't the same as our money. We's gonna do good."
"Wow. Ah ain't never even thought bout gettin a new pair a socks before. Pop, Ah gotta get there. How'm Ah gonna get there? Ah don't have no owl."
Ah start rubbin mah hands which Ah always start doin when Ah'm gettin nervous bout somethin.
"We's gotta move ta the UK when ya done wit your schoolin this year Toby."
"We's movin'?"
"We's got Kwimper kin in Ireland. Gonna be boardin with em."
Mah hands keep rubbin faster. Ireland's jus so far ways from Florida Ah'm kinda gettin scared.
"Ah don't wanna live in Ireland, Pop. There ain't any sweet tea there. Wha bout grandmomma an granddaddy? Ain't they gonna be sad that we're leavin?"
"Sure but they's got plenty a ponds full a frogs an toads fer ya son. They ain't gonna be sad Toby. Once they see yer letter they're gonna want ya ta go. Grandpa always said ya need ta go ta a special school meant ta help ya."
Ah start gettin excited. Pop thinks it's funny when Ah go from bein all scared ta bein happy. Maybe he knows it's cause everythang goes from bein scary ta bein fun so long's ya talk bout it right.
"They's got froggies an toadies there?"
"Mhm. Gotta have a pet ta bring so's ya can find a toad or frog there."
"Yipppeee! Okay, Ah'll find the smallest, quietest, cutiest lil froggie that there ever was an Ah'm gonna love it, an hug it, an give it a name! Ah'm gonna take it ta school!"
Ah'm wigglin in mah chair now. Wizardin school's soundin way more fun than regular schoolin.
"We's gonna have a lotta fun learnin bout the wizardin world. Lotta adventures ta have."
"Ah guess Ah got a whole school year fer learnin' magic an catchin' toadies! Boy howdy!"
Pop pats mah head an Ah start tryna ta calm down. Pattin mah head seems ta help when Ah get all excited. Thinkin bout froggies an toadies jus make me wanna wiggle.
"Now finish eatin so's we can get ya to school."
"Oh! Ok Pop."
Ah finish mah breakfast an hurry ta put on mah shoes an start ta follow Pop ta the car.
"Ah better remember the whole list! Ah ain't gonna be one a 'em kids who ain't ready fer school cause they ain't read the list."
"Got plenty a time ta learn the whole list son."
After we leave the house an head down the road tagether Ah start talkin again. Ah jus gotta get it all outta mah mouth cause now Ah'm too excited.
"Ya said there'd be a special train to Hogwarts, Pop. Wha's that mean?"
"Means only Hogwarts kids get ta ride on it."
"Well, how'd they know who the Hogwarts kids are, Pop?"
"You's gonna be gettin a special ticket tellin ya where ta go. Only Hogwarts students an kin can go ta that part of the station."
Ah ain't been on a train before. Ah only seen 'em go on by when Pop'd take me shoppin in the main town. Ah ain't even known what a train ticket'd look like.
"Ah get a ticket? Can Ah see it, Pop?"
He chuckles which probably means Ah done got somethin wrong.
"Ah ain't got it yet. We's gonna get the ticket durin the summer."
"Aww... But you'll gimme the ticket right when we get it?"
"Course Ah'm gonna give it ta ya. Ya only got yer letter cause ya turned 11 last week."
This is so much ta think bout. Ah can't even wait ta get ta Hogwarts.
"Ah can't wait fer mah own magic ta happen! Pop, have ya ever used magic?"
He looks down an Ah wonder if Ah done said the wrong thing.
"No Ah don't son."
"But ya know 'bout it. Why don't ya do magic?"
He keeps pattin mah head.
"Ah ain't been born wit it son. It happens."
"Oh, Ah get it."
Mah mind starts ta wander. How's it that Ah been doin magic an no one done tol me bout it.
"When mah own magic starts to happen, do Ah jus say a magic word or somethin an it happens?"
"Been makin magic happen past couple a days. Tha's why you's gotta be kept calm so's ya don't get meltdowns."
Ah gotta be quiet cause everythang Pop done tol me's gotta be thought through. Ah musta got mah magic last week cause Ah sure don't 'member doin tricks.
"Pop? Will they make it so's Ah won't have meltdowns no more?"
"Might get better when you's grown. That's why Ah've been tellin ya ta use yer times tables."
Ah blink a little an feel kinda sad. Ah thought magic'd be able ta do anythin but Ah guess it ain't like that.
"Oh. So Ah can go ta Hogwarts an learn magic even if Ah'm slow?"
"Tha's right."
Pop an Ah make it ta school. Ah'm feelin better now that we's had our talk.
"Now you's have a good day son. Ah'll pick ya up later."
"Ok Pop. Ah'll be good."
"Tha's mah boy. Jus get through these final months then we's gonna be movin ta the wizardin world. Don't go tellin yer friends though cause they'll jus get jealous."
Ah jus can't stop smilin. Ah hope mah teacher don't get mad cause Ah'm too busy thinkin bout bein a real wizard.
"Bye Pop!"
Ah head out the car an inta the schoolyard ta find mah friends. As much as Ah'll miss 'em Ah jus can't wait ta move ta the wizardin world.

S1 Rewatch - Mauricio’s Take [1.07]
Favorite scene
Riley and Lucas’s scene in the auditorium at the end of the episode at the end of the episode is forever etched into my memory. It’s really such a short simple moment compared to the drama and high-stakes that fill the rest of the episode, but there’s something so charming and endearing about this moment and it makes me smile every time I think about it. Personally, I feel like this scene highlights that they’ve settled into this friendly rapport and are able to have a back and forth. There’s also something about Riley and Lucas’s “Just goes to show that maybe you don’t have to do everything alone./ No, maybe not.” that pumps serotonin straight into my bloodstream!
Favorite performance
Okay not to get on my Dasher soapbox but…"THNKS FR TH MMRS" IS SUCH AN ICONIC MUSICAL NUMBER AND IT SLAPS AND HOLDS SO MUCH POWER AND I CAN PERFECTLY VISUALIZE IT AND IT PHYSICALLY PAINS ME THAT I CAN’T PLAY IT ON REPEAT AND HEAR DASHER’S BEAUTIFUL VOICES SING IT AT FULL VOLUME
Favorite character (within the context of the episode)
Favorite character this week has to go to none other than snapback king himself Lucas James Friar! I feel like he really got to shine this episode and I loved how he took leadership and  spoke up for the techies. This episode felt like such a turning point for him after the whole Wyatt fiasco and the ending really makes it seem like he’s gonna do some growing (and he does but then the rest of the season happens and it all goes to shit but it’s FINE i’m not upset).
Favorite line
“We dabble. In one another. Now and then.” - Riley Matthews
An underrated moment
The moment where the techies walk out of the auditorium and the performers are like “wayament...” is such a funny moment I didn’t appreciate enough the first time I read this episode.
Something I missed the first time around
It’s not something I miss, but I didn’t feel such an attachment to Lucas and Jack’s relationship when I first read this episode — and specifically that scene in Jack’s office. Reading it now, I definitely see how much they clearly mean to each other and how important that dynamic is to the show and to their individual character arcs.
First impression vs my reread impression
My first impression was that this was a fun and action-packed episode, and it certainly is, but rereading it makes me realize that it’s also an incredibly important episode in the entire season. It sets up dynamics and features characters in such a well-done way, and there’s also this plot of the techies revolting and going to war with the performers that genuinely feels like so much fun! This episode definitely goes down as one of my top faves of the season.
--
GOOD! GOOD SIR! SIR IT DESERVES TO BE ONE OF YOUR FAVORITES. but i think you’re right, it’s 100% a turning point in so many ways -- plot, character, relationships... as maddi pointed out, we’re shifting gears into the AAAC storyline at this point. walls are starting to come down, but that also opens for more vulnerability. all i can say is im glad you’re appreciating jack & lucas more this reread, but also... YEAH THNKS FR THE MMRS SLAPPED! YEAH I WANT TO WATCH IT ON REPEAT!!! DYLAN AND ASHER AS ACTUAL CHARACTERS RISE???? THEIR MINDS!!! THEIR MIND READING STEPPIN INTO LUCAS JAMES’S BRAIN MINDS!!!!!!!!

Alright, so notice. Most of you probably know this, since you're following me for the Autistic Levi stuff (thank you, we're closing in on 100 followers!!!!), but people with autism can have "tantrums". I've kinda touched on this in a previous post (it's a full meltdown, but you can see that post here https://www-artforoddballs.tumblr.com/post/644803780958879744/autistic-levi-angstkinda-i-guess-this-is-him). For those of you who DON'T know, an autistic tantrum is not the same thing as what you'd think of in regards to a toddler or kid, it's just the word used for it. This is a mistake my mother and I made when getting the paperwork done while I was going through testing that later got cleared up lol
I had a tantrum yesterday, and so I figured that I could post about Leviathan having a tantrum, since it's still ready on my mind. I don't care if anyone else is proud of me for coping with it as well as I did, since it's a major improvement from last time I had one, but I am proud of myself!...with that in mind, here we go!!
There will be some angst in this post, like the last post in relation to this one, but like the last post, it turns out fine.
However.
Trigger warning for things such as self harm, both physical and verbal. If you or a loved one is self harming, either reach out to someone for help or reach out to that person to help, yeah?
OK on with the post.
-------------
First of all, Levi's autism is part of why his brothers always agree to help when there's a raffle for tickets or something like that on the DDD messages, because he can get overwhelmed if they don't at least help, even if he doesn't win in the end.
They figured out that his autism was the culprit for this shortly after his diagnosis.
Now when I'm writing for Levi, I like to think that his diagnosis was around the early 1990s since, while autism was a separate diagnosis in 1980, it didn't really start becoming fairly accepted and expanded upon until 1987. Hence why everyone is mostly used to it by now, but are still sometimes off put by his odd behavior; for them, as beings that have been around since...the beginning of the universe, pretty much as far as we know, but for at LEAST since humans were around (so at VERY least 2.5 million years now, but potentially up to around 7 million years (if they haven't been around since the beginning of creation)), this would be like...I dunno, give me a second.
Waiting
Waiting...
Okay, so from 1990(earliest year I have in mind) to 2019 (the year it was released) is 29 years. That's a minimum of 1/86,206.89th of their lifespan, and a maximum of 1/475,862,068.96th of their total lifetime.
So this is a VERY recent development for them on the grand scheme of things, but I digress.
So they're still figuring everything out, especially as the human race continues to learn about the condition itself.
So the first time Levi threw a tantrum and they recognized it for what it was...it was certainly interesting.
What had happened was exactly the situation described; Levi had wanted to go to a concert in the human world and they were raffling off free tickets. Except, unlike now, his brothers hadn't offered their support. They hadn't in the past, why would this time be any different?
Except now they viewed it through a different light. Leviathan had an image in his head that he desired so badly and had asked his brothers to support him, hopeful, only to be rejected at every turn. That he was used to, but it was still upsetting.
He put that to the side, though. He really wanted to see this band, and these were VIP tickets where you got to hang out with the band for a few hours after the concert! They'd cost a LOT of human money, and while they COULD afford it, he knew Lucifer would be bringing hell down upon him if he used that amount of family funds on a concert. And his anxiety was already somewhat raised, so he decided to enter the raffle on his own.
He sat there for hours, waiting for the results to come in. He'd hyped this up in his brain the entire time; He'd win, go to an amazing concert, have dinner with the band, maybe even make some friends....!...and then the results came back. He hadn't won.
As per usual, our snek boi went into one of his rants about how unfair it was, but instead of going on a rampage or something like that, locked himself up in his room and cried, hating himself for getting so excited over nothing.
As I mentioned before, I've made another post about a tantrum/getting too overwhelmed slipping into something even more dire, as that's almost always what happens to me. This would be in the 90s, so this would be their first real incident with one of these moments where they had the proper diagnosis, so bear with me, there will be some angst here, but like the other post, it'll be fine.
So Mammon ends up feeling bad for rejecting his little brother, and, not knowing it was too late, decided to go to his room and offer his support. It was almost Leviathan's birthday anyways, and Mammon knew how rejection felt and how much it sucked. So, he knocked on Leviathan's door.
No response. He knocked again...still no response, but a quiet sob.
Right away, Mammon switched from semi-carefree to worried. "Levi...?"
Again, no response. He decided to just go in and check on his brother...
The door was locked. And he smelled blood.
"Leviathan, I need you to open the door," Mammon said with a half hearted chuckle, his voice now becoming slightly strained. "Because if ya don't, I'm gonna have t' break the door down."
"Just go away!" Leviathan cried from inside his room. "Just leave me alone, you jerk!"
"I ain't goin' anywhere. Either open the door or I'm gonna break it down. Those are your two choices."
A moment of silence, before Mammon sighs, stretching, as he transforms into his demon form.
"Alright, option two it is."
He rammed into the door repeatedly, before the wood finally splintered and fell to the ground with a loud thud. Mammon quickly looked around, eyes widening as he saw Leviathan digging his own sharpened nails into his arms, multiple raked wounds, made by the same culprit, carved into his skin.
"Levi...look at ya..." Mammon said, voice faltering, tears welling up in his eyes. "I...how long has..."
"Just shut up! Don't act like you care about me, I'm the freak of our family, remember?! I'm the one whose brain isn't right, I'm just a shut-in, good for nothing, re-!"
He was quickly cut off by Mammon going to him and hugging him.
"I don't care who you are. You talk about my brother like that again and I'll kill you. Alright? You're a little off, but you ain't a freak, and your brain works just fine as is. You're perfect just the way you are, and if anybody else says any different, I'm gonna beat them the fuck up. Including you. Got that? So what if you've got that fancy lable on ya now...? Labels like that matter, but it didn't change ya. You're still my cringe, annoying as hell little weirdo of a brother...and I wouldn't have ya any other way."
Leviathan fully listened to Mammon talk, before clinging to him, breaking down sobbing again, and trying to explain what happened through his tears, the older demon gently rubbing his back and allowing him to cry it out, making sure no more harm was done.
A while later, once Levi had calmed down, Mammon ruffled his hair.
"Let's get you cleaned up, yeah? Lucifer is already gonna kill me for breaking your door, but he'd be even more pissed if I just left you here with those wounds."
So they did. And Mammon, after telling a VERY angry Lucifer what had happened hours later, had surprisingly NOT gotten chewed out by the eldest brother. Instead, that day, the entire family had a long discussion, and they all agreed that if it was something as small as entering a raffle, or even if it was bigger but not an inconvenience to anyone in the slightest, they'd all help out from then on. It's not like it was hard, and it would save Levi from hours of stress and negativity toward himself and others around him.
They also made a plan for if a tantrum were to happen while someone was around, or if he became too overwhelmed and started to spiral...because, as annoying as he could be, Leviathan was still family. And they loved him, oddities and all.
---------------
Alright, so...that was the post! I hope it was okay. I know I've written about this type of thing before a little, but different situations can end up with the same negative outcome, like being in an overwhelming situation, or not being able to change your thinking and not easily being able to get over your expectations. I've personally suffered with both, and it's a regular thing for me, so I like writing about it, because maybe, just maybe, it'll help someone out, or help someone that isn't autistic understand a friend or relative or classmate or employee better. And I love these characters, I really do. The only ironic thing is that I see so much of myself in Leviathan, but I adore him and despise myself. Go figure 😂
Regardless, I hope you enjoyed, and if there's anything you guys have questions about (in regards to me and my experience), or any specific writing requests, asks are fully open!
Thanks so much for being here to support me, you have no idea how much it means to a little oddball such as myself.

Freshmeat
Bloodline Family Series
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Koda started high school, he rushed his parents out the house. He couldn't wait to get there with his cousins. Haleigh had turned out to be the opposite of her brother. Kandice had to rush her around the house to get ready and eat breakfast. Even though Kandice wanted Roman to not be home or at least stay home, he took off work and was standing by the front door waiting.
The ride to the school was different.
Usually when they drive Haleigh to school, or anywhere for that matter, she was a chatterbox. But today she was silent. The only noise they heard from her was her nails tapping against her phone. Roman pulled up to the school following the line of cars.
"Alright, Princess. I'll be here to pick you up after school." Roman said easing through the line.
Kandice turned in her seat to see why their daughter hadn't responded and laughed. "I know you are not crying, little girl."
"Take me home," she cried.
Roman looked at her through the rearview mirrors. "What's wrong, Princess?"
"I don't wanna go. They gon look at me."
"You have to go," Kandice told her.
"Noooo! I don't wanna goooo!"
"Oh you taking your ass in that school, Hae."
"Mommy, no! Look at all them people! No!"
Roman chuckled driving the car closer to the front, "I'll take you back home if you want, Princess."
Kandice scoffed, "Like hell you will. Haleigh Marie, you're gettin your ass out this car. You and that lil Mickey mouse bookbag."
Haleigh looked out the window at all the other students still crying. "No! Oh God."
"Oh God what, Princess?"
"Ooooh... my stomach hurt," she sobbed.
"I told you not to eat that damn cereal."
"It's not the milk, Mommy," she yelled, "I'm nervous! Don't leave me here."
Roman and Kandice laughed at their youngest. For someone whose been on numerous wrestlemania ramps with her father and competed in cheer competitions in packed civic centers and stadiums, it was hilarious to see her get so nervous about school.
"Girl, call that big head boy, see where he is and get out."
"Mommy, nooo. You and Daddy gotta walk me to class."
"You're in high school, Hae. " Roman pulled out of the car line and circled to get back in it. "We don't walk you to class, that's why we came to orientation so you could find them yourself."
"They gone look at me and call me freshmeat and make me do their homework. I dont wanna go, Daddy."
"Marie, when your Daddy gets up here this time you're getting your ass out even if I have to pull you out. Understand?"
"Mommy," she whined still crying. "Take me home, I gotta use the bathroom! I can't go in there!"
Roman looked at his daughter then his wife. "Maybe we should take her back home, she seems really upset."
"Nope! She's going in that school. I'm gonna call Tasha and find Ardian so he can come get his friend."
"Hey, Tasha. Are you guys here? ... Okay, we're coming up in the line ... oh I see you, here we come cause this girl is having a damn meltdown."
"They up there," Kandice told Roman pointing, "Ardian insisted on waiting on your cry baby back there."
"I'm not a cry baby, I just don't wanna go," Haleigh pouted.
Roman pulled up alongside Rezar's SUV. Kandice and him hopped out greeting the Bekims.
"Where's Hae?" Rezar asked looking around them.
Kandice rolled her eyes and pointed to their SUV. "In the backseat having a meltdown. Talking about she not goin."
Tasha laughed, "Ardian told me she was nervous but I ain't think she was meltdown nervous."
Kandice went to Haleigh's door and snatched it open. Haleigh was still crying but not as loud.
"You and Mickey need to get out my car, me and your Daddy got stuff to do. Ardian is over there waiting for you and you're gonna make yall late."
Haleigh sniffled.
"Ardian's over there?"
"Yes and he's waiting for you. Now let's go."
Haleigh nodded putting her bookbag on her back and grabbed her purse and phone before getting out. Kandice closed the door behind her before wiping her face and kissing her forehead.
"Go have a good day with Ardian. Mommy loves you and will see you at 2:15pm."
Haleigh nodded walking around the SUV. She hugged and kissed Roman then hugged Tasha and Rezar. She stood in front of Ardian smiling.
"I won't let anyone bother you," Ardian said softly.
Haleigh stick out her pinky to him. "Promise?"
Ardian hooked his pinky with hers. They left their parents headed for the big high school. Haleigh was still nervous and still wanted to go home but having Ardian with her helped.
"And you was about to let her ass come back home. Let's go," Kandice fussed. "We'll drop Ardian off no need for y'all to come back out."
Tasha nodded. "You sure?"
"Yeah, it's fine. Y'alls house is on the way anyway."

guess whose mom got a positive covid test?
ʸᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃʸ
right during the time we're supposed to both be in the living room because i had 3 meltdowns spanned across 3 days as a part of one huge mental health spiral and i need supervision so i can get immediate help when i'm paralyzed!!
halloween also might be called off which is horrible because i was supposed to be able to spend it with some friends which i desperately need given my mental state and goddammit.
also anything and everything school-related is falling to pieeeceeeessss!!!~~ and my mom is the one best suited to help me with schoolwork and FUCK.
the only bright side to this is there is a very low chance it's a serious case but that's less than the bare fucking minimum.
so yeah how's your night goin?
