PAIR 1930 FRENCH ART DECO WALL SCONCES BY NOVERDY ..... lights muller era france NOVERDY wall sconces A wonderful pair of large 1925-1930 French art deco wall lights. The solid brass mounts hold two beautiful panels in clear frosted molded-pressed glass by Noverdy in Dijon France. Both shades are signed Noverdy France Deposé on the inside of the shade. The sconces are 30,5 cm high (12") 32 cm wide (12,6 inches) and project some 11,5 cm (4-1/2") from the wall. They are in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounts. The fixtures come rewired. For the USA Canada or Japan I placed American candelabra base sockets. For European countries I will wire with E14 ones.At the moment I have two pairs available. This sale is for one pair. *** NOVERDY - Verrerie des Vosges : René & Jean Drouhot  In 1924 the businessmen from Dijon father and son Jean and René Drouhot purchased Verrerie des Vosges. A glass factory in the Moselle based villages of Hoffmuhl and Lutzelbourg.  In 1925 Jean and René Drouhot also took over the société anonyme des Verreries de Dijon. Which was a glass factory founded in 1893 producing tableware. They renamed it Nouvelle Verrerie de Dijon. The lamp shades that were produced in their plants are often unsigned. Sometimes signed Noverdy (for Nouvelle Verrerie de Dijon). And a few models were signed Verrerie des Vosges. Sometimes we can see the signature Noverdi on acid-engraved bowls or vases. In 1928 a certain monsieur Jean Noverdy won a price at an exhibition.  The home address of this price winning fantasy figure was the house of Jean Drouhot. For the rest there is not one file or register where the name or brand (Jean) Noverdy shows up.

Spring Designs On Walls With Vinyl Wallcovering
Tumblr media
Make your bedroom wallpaper an extension of your moods and personality to welcome the arrival of Spring as the world thaws out following one of the coldest Winters in recent memory. A vinyl wallcovering theme fits your every need, want, and creative vision, whether you're spotlighting a central point in your home, like an accent wall, or creating a specific informal vibe.
Modern Geometric Patterns In Warm And Rich Colors
Art Deco luxury comes to mind when you think of the 1920s. After a century, the traditional Art Deco wallpaper pattern for living rooms is back and better than ever. Art Deco design is distinguished from other modern designs by its precise geometric symmetry.
Traditional Moroccan architecture, Japanese Kumiko artistry, and timeless fabric weaves like silk, linen, grass cloth, suede, patina, and other natural surfaces are a few more lovely patterns that are now popular.
Tactile Surfaces
The delicacy of tactile textures begs to be touched and felt. Such bedroom wall coverings have clean, angular lines and less cluttered, more elegant laser-cut designs. Metallic texture, which produces rippling, shining highlights and seam lines, and denim texture, which is both relaxing and upbeat, are two new materials that are quickly gaining favor.
Modern developments in wall décor technology have made it feasible to create flexible, subtle, and opulent designs using wire mesh textiles woven with genuine metal strands.
Rural Textiles
By no means does rustic indicate an ugly wallpaper design for the living room. Actually, the reverse is true. Modern rustic wall designs are stylish and sophisticated. Coarse, rough, and aged surfaces, chunky weaves, natural fibers, and advanced designs that are more polished and sophisticated, such as rattan and raffia, are all included in this décor style. Lattice, linear, and mesh effects are used with industrial components to create fine structures. Warm neutral tones have given way to a monochromatic palette as time goes on. However, the weaves have developed into tweeds and plaids that are more stylized.
Natural Terrain
Touch and texture are key components of natural surfaces. The creative outdoor effects they blend into wallpaper for bedroom walls in vibrant tones of burnt orange and tomato red are in high demand. New styles are constantly being added by the manufacturers.
An Oxidized Metal
Some of the newest natural wallpaper textures for living rooms include oxidized metals, wood textures, stone effects, polished plaster, patinated metals, silky suede, chiseled effects, and layered designs that resemble quartz and worn surfaces. They frequently combine many color layers with a metallic gleam, which adds depth and shine.
Vinyl With Fabric Backing
Fabric-backed vinyl wallpaper patterns for living rooms are heavyweight, long-lasting, and fire-resistant, making them perfect for public spaces like stairwells and hallways.
Glass And Rhinestone Beaded
There are now more uses for 3D ornaments than just jewelry and crafts. Such beads and trinkets may now be directly inserted into the structure of materials such as fabric weaves, metal meshes, and vinyl wallpaper for bedroom walls. These transparent 3D beads, which resemble raindrops on a leaf, reflect and refract light in intriguing ways to give your area a mystical feel.

Maison Jansen Brass Swans Table Lamp
A table lamp from the legendary French interior design firm Maison Jansen, depicting two courting swans. Each swan is elegantly produced from patinated brass, with one slightly stretching its neck upwards. The organic curved lines of each bird sit atop an octagonal, ebony lacquered base. From this base protrudes a brass s-bend pole, which houses the light bulb. A gorgeous pagoda shade, made of laminated hard paper and also in a chic ebony, completes the piece.
Please note that although the lamp base is in a good condition, there is some wear on one side of the pagoda shade, with a slight peeling of the laminate – to be expected given the age of this piece.
The lamp is currently wired for EU plug sockets, but we can change this if required depending on the buyer’s location. This lamp takes E27 screw light bulbs.

An organic, nearly circular collar, open at nape, with three asymmetrically placed pendants of oval-shaped, semi-precious cabouchon stones set into patinated conforming frames. The bottom segment curves and coils down to support the largest of the three pendants, a yellow stone. The third and smallest pendant, a red stone, is suspended at bottom proper left from a ring that loops around the top and bottom segments of the wire. copyright transferred to Brooklyn Museum by Charles L. Russell Size: 8 5/8 x 5 7/8 x 3/4 in. (21.9 x 14.9 x 1.9 cm) Medium: Silver, three semi-precious stones: Labradorite (?)
