guys, i got the book “encanto - a tale of three sisters” and i just read this sentance here
“but then the floorboards on which hes standing give way. he hurls me to safety but loses his own footing. i watch in horror as another blast of lightning reveals my tio Bruno falling to his death”
BRUNO THREW MIRABEL OUT OF THE WAY SO THAT HE FELL IN THE HOLE INSTEAD OF HER
(obviously we know that the hole is not deep at all and bruno doesnt fall to his death, but they didnt know that at the time! he was completely willing to “fall to his death” to save mirabel!
bruno is a legend)

I'm still thinking about the tale of three sisters and some scenes on it :") I think what stuck with me are: 1. Isabela wanting to help Mirabel but her assuming that she won't accept any help because she always want things to do her ways 2. Luisa being the absolute disney princess that she is ("I wish little birds hung around me") 3. The way Mirabel and Bruno's conversation is narrated (reading the part that he convices her that she matters and she convinced him that he needs to see the complete picture--he is not a bad omen)
i might be biased but i love this book ;; (granted some parts are not perfect but overall it's so sweet)
I really like that book (although it was a little "too simple" for my taste, but I'm not the target group anyway and fanfic exists--)!
Isabela's perspective was quite interesting to read about, and each sister remembers her making flower crowns for them at the Gift Ceremony, it's just so cute and tragic. *sob*
Also, I love that Isabela actually envies Mirabel's "freedom" from responsibilities.
Correction: "Luisa being the depressed Disney princess that she is." I can't believe she almost had a panic attack when Mirabel fought with Abuela before the house collapsed!
But this needs to become canon ASAP:
Haha, yeah, in-the-works-Bruno sure is an enigma, taking "Man inside the Walls" a little too literal. He also has no problem sipping from a cup that's actually a rat's bathtub in the book.
But these lines, man, always punch me in the face:
Just... OUCH!

A tale of three sisters: completed!
Well! It was different from the movie! I mean some details are like Isabela and Mirabel conversation starting behind Isabela's door. But it was good, I liked it!
And Bruno is still as cute, even when he's grumpy 💚

I try not to think too much about the fact alma is so emotionally distant from everyone that the last time mirabel was hugged was before her ceremony
which just makes almas affection in dos oruguitas even more profound because we see how rarely she does show physical affection to her family!
