I just have four words. - Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Yall

I did it.

I actually fucking did it.

I made a half decent drawing of pookie where pookie actually looks like pookie.

That too the picture I wanted of him, my favourite picture of him.

It was a 2+ year drawing battle but I got there.

I don't think y'all understand what this means to me like, ever since I started reading Hazza fanfics, i knew I wanted to draw him, and the girl, i wanted to save the scenes of my favourite books and I wanted to do that by drawing a picture of them

But the problem was i sucked. I actually sucked

Okay, no this isn't Harry's face nor was it ever intended to be, this was one of my first attempts at digital drawing.

Then I started experimenting with small things like Square animals , objects

Then eventually to like 2D characters , this would allow me to have like a good look at body and face outlines.

I thought I was ready and I drew my first ever Harry picture, which was of a famous moment.

I don't wanna face internet's wrath so I cut the actual picture just to the part of his side profile. The colour doesn't match nor do the facial features, everything is off.

Then I read Duplicity. I saw how Julez had basically just made his silhouette on a dark background. I noticed how damn good that looked. Since I obviously sucked at the facial features part I was glad I could conjure up some Harry art by myself without messing it up by adding my horrible features style

After being satisfied with this , i decided to go a bit bold and experiment with his side profile

Took more attempts than i remember but eventually I could finally manage to do it.

Feeling comfortable with my choice , i decided to go for more non face Harry fanarts , but I wanted to take it one step further.

Drawing his tattoos and making the background somewhat real or good was a bi**h. Like the actual Harry part took like 10-15 mins to draw and colour , and the rest hours were spent on making all his tattoos, and then the background setting.

And now I'm so excited because I finally did make a fanart after my first successful face drawing . I'm almost done reading one of my favourite books, Vigilante by intermissionfl0wer on Wattpad so i wanted to make a fanart about it . Here's Harry and Marshmallow

And lm in love with the way it turned out.

'Maybe you and I are both damned, but we can choose to do something and leave it better than it was before.' This moment in ep 97 lives rent free in my mind forever, and I've been wanting to draw it ever since I first watched it live. I have so many feelings about these two, and their relationship over the course of the campaign (and beyond) means so much to me. While not yet fulfilled or entirely convinced of his own worth, at this point in the story, Caleb knows he’s on the right path. That alone is progress enough, but that he uses his own experiences to help another escape those same chains of guilt says such a lot for his development. When he tells Essek that his ‘venom’ was learned, he’s also talking about himself and his own history of being manipulated and gaslit, with the implication being that it can be un-learned just as efficiently. Essek describes himself as selfish and as a coward, forever putting his own wants and desires first, yet over the course of his journey with the Nein we see his priorities change drastically. Having friends gives him people to care about, something he’s never had before, and it changes his outlook on life completely.

I think it says so much about the other characters too, that they befriended this person they barely knew, and when he was revealed to have done such terrible things, their first reaction was to give him comfort and an opportunity to atone. Jester held his hand while he confessed, and afterwards, while they didn’t immediately forgive him, they saw the good in him and wanted him to be better, which ultimately feels like what the entire campaign was about, leaving places (and people) better than they found them.

They began their adventure wholeheartedly believing that they were both, in their own way incapable of love. But, in the end, no matter how damaged and guilt-stricken they were, they found in each other a kindred spirit, a path to redemption, and ultimately, love. Whether their relationship lasted for a couple of years or multiple decades is irrelevant, what matters is that while it did they had a happy and fulfilled life together. (tl;dr I just bloody love these two wizards you guys. T.T) Anyway, I finally decided to paint this scene earlier in the week, using my newfound favourite website Magic Poser Web to set up their poses for reference, then drew everything in Clip Studio Paint. I'm not 100% happy with some of it, ad the background isn't as I imagined it to be when I watched the stream, but it's close enough that I'm satisfied!

World Mental Health Day

October 10 is known as World Mental Health Day. Last Saturday I spent the day with a friend of mine whose mother happens to be a psychologist, this is why I remembered what date it was. The objective of this day is to raise awareness of mental health issues all over the world, something important in the days we are living in, where the influence of technology gets both the best and the worst of some of us. As a person that knows people who have experienced mental health issues, I feel that it is necessary to learn about mental illnesses. Tv shows and movies have distorted the vision of this kind of illness and some people even believe they don’t exist! That has a very negative impact on those who experience mental health issues, since they start to believe that their problems do not matter.

This is why I decided to do this poster. My initial plan was to draw the Earth and write the letters around it, but I finally decided to do a lettering poster. I have always wanted to do this kind of artwork and wondered if it would look as good as the Pinterest posts I usually see to get inspired. This was the perfect excuse. The poster has a rounded form because I wanted it to resemble our planet, since this is a globally known date. Firstly I did a brief sketch of the letters, asking myself how they would fit in the circumference. I changed some capital letters to lowercase letters, knowing that they would fit better in some cases such as the ‘a’ on ‘day’ and ‘mental’.

On the other hand I drew a couple of decorations around the letters. The hollow of the letter ‘a’ in ‘mental’ and ‘health’ are a brain and a heart. Everything starts in our heads and wellness is achieved with the love and support of those around us. The hollow on the ‘D’ of ‘Day’ is a 10/10, the day we are talking about. Between the letters ‘L’ and ‘T’ in ‘Health’ I drew a green ribbon, which symbolises mental health and I also did a bandage between the ‘N’ and ‘T’. My intention was to express that even though you can't physically see the damage, it doesn’t mean that the problem is nonexistent. Moreover, I drew sunflowers (symbol of joy), a sun and leaves, trying to say that we thrive and grow ourselves—just like plants. At first I wanted to leave the ‘D’ of ‘World’ in green, resembling a plant, but then I realised that it can be confusing so I added the ‘D’ and changed the distribution. (I'm still going to post both versions).

I chose orange for the letters because I was told that orange has the energy and strong emotions of the red and the happiness evoked by yellow. I also researched if this information was truthful or not, and learned that this colour is also known for stimulating mental activity. The background is light blue, which is associated with health, healing and stability. This poster also has green, —colour of growth and safety and yellow tones.

It may look simple but I spent all afternoon doing this and the process gave me a headache. There was one moment where my heart skipped a beat because my tablet was about to turn off, and I didn’t remember if I had saved the project. Luckily, I had. Despite the headache and neck pain, I am very satisfied with the final results. I posted both artworks on my Pinterest and I hope more people remember October the 10th for next year.
